This Man โ JxW x Reader Fic (shitty) idea for authors pls ๐๐ป
I've had this in my mind for a while, but I'm not an author and can't write for shit so I'm calling all great authors out there ๐ญ I'm also not very sure if it makes sense and if my understanding of the whole story is accurate but here it goes...
Pairing: ThisMan!Wonwoo x Reader ft. ThisMan!Jeonghan

Jeonghan decides to lie low for a while after noticing Wonwoo being on his tail and screwing up his plan to find 'A'. After a while of no signs of Jeonghan being on peoples dreams, Wonwoo grows a little too content and relieved. Jeonghan, however, did not stop. He was only using this time to find Wonwoo's weakness. Entering his dreams once in a while pretending to be someone else to deceive WW (assuming they also sleep, lol). Slowly, Jeonghan finds out Wonwoo also has a long lost love and desires to meet her again. Jeonghan will use this to create a new plan where he will create this wonderful dream for Wonwoo, where he meets her again. This dream will make Wonwoo wish to never wake up from this dream ever..... and he doesn't.
Jeonghan will use this opportunity to continue his plan. Putting the rest of the world to sleep to find 'A'. And he was almost there. The world was starting to crash. Streets have become quiet. Upon hopping from person to person, Jeonghan finds you somehow. With everything that's happening right now, the chaos, people finding it hard to trust each other, crashing buildings, you only wish for one thing. To be with Wonwoo. The only person who makes everything better. You find yourself dreaming about Wonwoo every night, wishing you could just stay in there and be in his arms. Jeonghan hears this loud thought of yours and enters your dream that night. He created a dream so magical, you and the only man that you love and wish to never wake up from this beautiful dream..... and you don't.
Jeonghan finally found 'A'. Except, he didn't think the impossible could happen.
Wonwoos dream collided with yours. Somewhere in between just being a normal happy couple, being in each others arms again, feeling each others warmth, finally finding peace again, and talking about each others lives, you let out your worries about the world and how you wished you could just stay there with him forever, considering the fact that it looked like you had no more future in the crashing world. What you just said made Wonwoo snap back into reality and realize what was happening. He fell into Jeonghan's trap. He needed to wake up. He can't be too late. He needs to get out of there. He has a world to save. Only to be stopped by the thought of leaving you once again. Waking up and saving the world means he can never be with you again. Your world and his can never be.
Wonwoo is now torn between you and the world. Will he choose you? Or will he decide to break your heart again and leave you lonely for the greater good?

Okay, that's that. ๐ญ I really wish to have this with more plot and dialogues into it huhu, please, great authors out there, please ๐ญ
Again, my understanding of the story may not be so accurate, but this is also a fanfiction idea from the original story, so just forgive me, just this once. ๐ซ ๐คง
Okay, the Last Night mv by JxW was wild...and here's what I understood of it:
Jeonghan is a person who imprisons people in their dreams. He does this by making their deepest desires come true while they sleep, making them never want to wake up. In reality, he's searching for his lover, whom he has lost, in other people's dreams. He travels through people's dreams, making them remember him as "This Man." He does this because he fears that he would forget his lover and lose them forever. So when we think about it, Jeonghan isn't exactly evil, just lost. But the more he does this, the fuzzier his memories of his lover get. His memories are slowly getting covered by a "white sheet," as we can see in the mv. Wonwoo is a person who wakes these people up from their idealistic dreams to reality. Originally, he's just there, watching people live their lives. But when people start talking about "This Man," he realises he needs to stop whoever's doing this. This is why he's searching for Jeonghan to try and stop him from doing what he's doing. Throughout the mv, we can see that Wonwoo slowly realises why Jeonghan's doing all this in the first place. Therefore, Wonwoo's original thoughts on Jeonghan eventually change. Meanwhile, Jeonghan's memories get even fuzzier, and in desperation, he traps the entire city in dreamland. After Jeonghan puts the city to sleep, Wonwoo's able to find him. There, Jeonghan surrenders, tired by the burden of trying to find his lover. So, Wonwoo erases Jeonghan's memories while bringing the city back to reality. At the end of the mv, from the lemonade, we can take away that even though Jeonghan doesn't remember what happened, he can still remember Wonwoo helping him. However, Wonwoo's the only person with his memories intact.
My thoughts on 'This Man' by JxW:
Last Night (์ด์ ฏ๋ฐค): This song was so insanely catchy! From the soundtrack itself, I knew I would love this song. The guitar added such a sexy touch to it. And, of course, the vocals were immaculate! The contrast between Jeonghan's light tone and Wonwoo's heavy tone is so pleasant to hear! And I love how hauntingly beautiful this song sounds. It's definitely one of my favourite songs from this year, and that's saying a lot. (11/10)
Beautiful Monster: This song is so Jeonghan-coded. I like how dreamy it sounds. I also like how the ending smoothly contrasts with the overall sweet and soft song, giving it a depth that's really unique! I loved this song! (8/10)
Leftover (ํด์งํต): Oh, this song makes my heart ache! I love Wonwoo's vocals on this one! I love how the lyrics go from completely heartbreaking to somewhat hopeful at the end. And I absolutely LOVE the last chorus of the song. It has never failed to make me cry. Again, it's one of my favourite songs from this year. (10/10)
I absolutely loved this single album! And to think this is just their debut! I can't wait for more debuts and a comeback of JxW! This album was a solid 10/10 for me.

Oh, yeah! I definitely listened to the This Man audiobook! My first thought was literally, "My predictions were mostly correct, lmao!" But I just love how intricate the story of This Man was. I really want some kind of movie made out of this too because the story is just THAT GOOD!
I honestly loved the connection between Wonwoo and Jeonghan's characters. How Wonwoo literally travels through the real world and the dream world to save Jeonghan from a hell he created himself. I love how Jeonghan's character is really portrayed to just be lost and hurt, a person who needs saving, instead of a villain. And I love how Wonwoo's character might seem like a villain, but he's really just saving people and making them have an ACTUAL good life. I related to him a lot in the audiobook.
Overall, I loved the amount of work and effort put into this concept, and I feel like it really suits Jeonghan and Wonwoo. Now I want more, lol! (Maybe they could do Greek mythology next time...?) Please feel free to share your thoughts as well! ๐ฉท๐ฉต
