Richie is gentle!af. He makes friends with everyone who works for him and tries to make them all laugh. He hangs up the phone “gently.”

Eddie understands full well that he doesn’t love Myra and only married her because she reminded him of his mother.

There’s a kind of love between them that comes from familiarity, or maybe family, but it’s never romantic and it’s very fleeting.

Their relationship is just… ugly.

He calls her Marty, though, and I think that’s sweet.

The first thing Richie remembers from Derry is being bullied. Mike says Richie was bullied the most out of all the losers.

Ben says “Beverly Hanscom” out loud and has to press his face into the grass to cool down.

Sometimes being graphic about bodies makes sense, but nipples don’t work like that Mr. King.

It took Eddie three tries to leave his mother. 

Beverly is intensely competitive.

She keeps her nails very short so that she can’t bite them.

Turtles are a Very Big Deal. Why wasn’t this a bigger deal in the movies/miniseries?

Not much has been reviewed about Mike yet. Sorry guys. He’s had a chapter, but it’s mostly plotty backstory.

Audra is about 10 years older than Bill.

The hate crime at the beginning of IT Ch 2 is a really big deal in the book. Like, if you could be triggered, DON’T READ. Mr. King, tag your shit. Extremely upsetting and graphic. I mean, it’s a “horrorbook” (as Patty would call it), but that’s not even clown shit.

Patty and Stan had the healthiest relationship in the world.

interpretation 1: they are naturally on the same brainwave so often that eddie is confident richie will be having the same thought process as he is 99% of the time. and that's on compatibility

interpretation 2: richie has never given a single fuck and will always agree with eddie no matter the situation because his brain blue screens when presented with an opportunity to make eddie like him more

the way eddie immediately scoffs and looks at richie when mike says they need to split up, like can you believe this guy

Watched IT chapter one the other day and all I keep thinking about is this AU idea called “let’s make a deal” where Bill protects Georgie by making a deal with Pennywise telling him that he’ll bring him only the terrible people in Derry to which Pennywise agrees. He enlists the help of his friends and they agree to do this in order to keep the kids of Derry safe (and to get rid of the bullies and Bevs shitty dad). Maybe some bonding occurs between Pennywise and the kids? Maybe he sees them as his kids or little siblings and starts to genuinely want to protect them since no one’s ever given him anything or treated him kindly before?

Pennywise: I know your secret~

Richie: Wait how do you know I’m gay?

Pennywise: Ya know how I can smell fear?

Richie: Yeah…and?

Pennywise: I can smell your fruitiness from a mile away!

I am now going to go into detail how this would work which would be one of two ideas.

1. Richie is basically like Patty and Mike is Cathy going to live with Richie in Derry and of course some shenanigans ensue. Reddie is already going pretty strong and byler will happen. The clown will probably show up as well as the party.

2. Flip it Mike is Patty and Richie is Cathy going to live in Hawkins still reddie is together. Clearly Richie and El are going to clash and have issues shenanigans ensue and upside gets involved. The losers club comes down at some point and byler will happen.

Also for anyone who doesn’t know what I’m talking about it’s an old show from the 60s that used to watch when I was a young child at like 5am and it’s currently free on Tubi.
