sirius had no idea what 'rakhi' was. so he spent a HUGE amount of time in the library to find out
finally on the day raksha bandhan he woke up early and started bouncing on james' bed, shouting "give me my gift!"
once james woke up, sirius took out a rakhi from his pocket
james was shocked
sirius tied the rakhi on james' wrist and said "now where's my gift? hun?"
but as soon as he saw the overwhelmed look on james' face, he added, "oh please don't tell me only sisters can tie rakhi! i will go and wear a skirt if that's the issue. and i worked hard on transfiguring that snake, we made last week, which shouted 'slytherins slithers into their mum's lap, and all they say is a piece of crap' into this beautiful rakhi saying 'my brother rocks, evans is yet to be shocked' "
james hugged sirius tight and whispered, "happy raksha bandhan"
and they spent the whole day with james pampering sirius and just before going to bed james told sirius, "you know you should wear a skirt next year, maybe then remus will start acting on his thoughts about you and something will finally happen between you two"

Just thinking about Indian James Potter introducing Remus Lupin to Chai in 4th or 5th year and Lupin falling in love with it,talking about it literally all the time,getting Sirius to try it Cause Sirius "JUST FUCKING TASTE IT,YOU ARSEHOLE!!!!#@@" sirius not agreeing at first because "I'm more of a black coffee person and chai's not punk rock,MOONY!!!" but after remus endures a really bad full moon and doesn't wake up for a whole day,Sirius just breakdowns and promises remus if he wakes up he'll have his favorite chai with him and when remus finally wakes up Sirius does as he promises and actually ends up enjoying it and he can't help but think how happy his moony looked when he did that and that's how he kind of realized he fancies him and that's not it both Sirius and Remus talk about chai more than ever because Sirius loves when remus talks so passionately about something eventually they get together after 6th year and they both tell Lily about it and she's really fascinated and asks remus to make some for her but he denies it cause no one makes better chai than James Potter himself....So when a really flustered Lily Evans comes upto an even more flustered but surprised James Potter just to know how chai tastes Remus and Sirius give eachother a knowing look....Lily without a doubt loving it and james making little jokes while the tea is boiling in the kitchen and the house elves bring them some biscuits.....Lily later realizing that James is actually nice and on top of that he makes some HELLA good chai. So,she goes to James almost everyday for a nice cup of chai....Just 🎇chai🎇 being the reason Jily and Wolfstar take place....
