Célestine smiled softly at Aurora's words, nodding in agreement. "Indeed, sleep seems elusive tonight," she replied, her voice carrying a hint of amusement. "The energy of the festival is quite infectious, don't you think?" She took a seat beside Aurora, letting her gaze wander over the bustling scene. The sight of children laughing and playing, the aroma of sweet treats, and the vibrant music all created a tapestry of happiness that was both comforting and bittersweet. It reminded Célestine of home, of her sisters, and the simple joys they shared before the complexities of their current lives.
"It is nights like these," Célestine continued, "that remind me of the simple joys we so often overlook in our daily lives. The laughter of children, the warmth of a shared meal, the beauty of a starry sky... It all seems so far removed from the intrigues and burdens of court. These sights and sounds take me back to my village, to evenings spent with my sisters, where we would find happiness in the smallest of things..." She glanced at Aurora, noting her serene yet thoughtful expression as she gazed up at the stars. "You look like you have a lot on your mind," Célestine observed gently, she had known Aurora for quite sometime now. "Is there something troubling you, or is it simply the restless nature of the evening?"

the streets were filled with joy, laughter and a warmth that gave aurora a sense of ease — with everything going on, it was nice to see a spark of happiness. it reminded her of roaming the streets of paris, how lively and happy everyone was; except this was a gigantic party, and a grand one at that. everything was colorful, the music was lively and seemingly everywhere — and the food, well, that was exactly what aurora was after.
unable to sleep, and quite restless after the day's mundane events; she took to the festa junina to snack and explore. she had watched a small parade of colorful costumes, watched children win prizes in activities that brought them joy — and by default, made aurora smile — and now she had all but settled at one of the bonfires; a sweet bread in one hand and a cup of the spiced wine in another. her crystal eyes had been locked on the stars above them, a little lost in her thoughts when movement caught her attention and she turned her head — recognizing the face beside her. " could not sleep either, i take it? "

Célestine glanced up as a stranger settled next to her at the bar, his presence commanding attention even in the lively chaos of The Soldier's Taverna. The French woman met his gaze, noting the hint of weariness beneath his casual demeanor. She offered a polite smile, sensing an opportunity to indulge her curiosity. "The caipirinha is quite popular," she replied, her voice carrying a hint of warmth. "It's a traditional Brazilian cocktail made with cachaça, sugar, and lime. Refreshing and a bit strong, but worth a try."She gestured towards the bartender, who promptly began preparing the drink. "What brings you to this lively establishment tonight?"

it would be a lie to say dante's in a good mood. but he also hasn't been in a good mood in a while either. so, comparatively, he is fine. looking forward to trying brazilian delicacies, and at the top of his list, comes booze. the soldier's taverna is more lively than he had thought it would be, loud groups throughout the entire room, some playing games, some playing music. the rush of noise feels good to dim the thoughts away, and he slips next to someone in a bar, tapping the counter to get he bartender's attention. turning on his seat, dante raises an eyebrow at his new companion. "so, what's good around here? did you try any local beverages you'd recommend?"
