My hands....are itching.... oh my god goth Messmer..........

So, I noticed the Confessor armor displays a symbol resembling Messmer's spear. It's said:

The churches outside the Lands Between, dedicated to the teachings of the Two Fingers, send confessors out to follow the guidance of grace. The confessors are loyal servants to the Two Fingers, ready to hunt down and quietly dispose of their enemies.

Just a cool insight, since there's no way of confirming, but what if Messmer did lead the Confessors at some point, before the Crusades became an official thing? Perhaps I just want to imagine him wearing a very goth armor but it would fit, I imagine.
