10 hours of nightmares later let's ramble about ep 8!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!
The episode was amazing don't get me wrong, but I feel like we could've gotten SO much more out of the series. MD has so much potential and other side stories we haven't explored yet that it could easily fill another season. Potential aside, the episode was so well made!!! You can really see the progress the animation crew made when you compare ep 1 and ep 8!!! It's an amazing final fight but there were a few too many "someone-is-about-to-die-in-slow-mo-but-they-get-saved-last-second" scenes for my liking. I'm also super happy that we got a few more Lizzy and Thad™ moments. I also feel like we got to see more of Cyn's??? Solver's??? personality. They don't really take anything seriously and they're SUPER creepy. LIKE THE "LET ME IN" SCENE?? I WOULD HAVE A HEART ATTACK. And the HANDS IN THE CALLBACK SCENE. Also the Solver swearing was so funny for no reason XDDDDD. And I just wanna say that Khan is an absolute FREAK and no surprise that he and Nori are such a good match.
I also wanted to do a little checklist of theories I had that were and weren't right. I never posted any online so you're gonna have to trust me on this one lmao
1. I KNEW THAT J WAS ON THE SOLVERS SIDE!!!!!!!! She's too corporate-obsessed not to help the AS!!! And she genuinely believes she's doing the right thing!! DELUSIONAL GIRLIE!! (also do yall think that's why J got the keys and not someone else?? Like V?Because Tessa Flesha knew that she was on her side and wouldn't snoop around?? Is that why? IS THAT WHY???)
2. That V was actually dead. We can all see how that ended but tbh I mostly believed that because I may or may not have a bias and I'm not a fan of V's character.
3. Canon NUZI. It was a glorified called-it moment but I'm glad they finally made it official :) about damn time
