Discworld books are absolutely brilliant because they'll have very clever jokes (that you'll often figure out on a train or something several months later) mixed with reality shattering concepts that will permanently alter the way you see the world. He's just that good. I started them a few months ago (with Going Postal) and they've made life sooo much more bearable.

Also, he will casually just call a character Carrot or Moist and act as if there's nothing unusual. It's brilliant.
