This is my new dog, Scout! (Last picture feat. my old dog Cleo who isn’t too sure how to feel about Scout). Scout is about six or seven years old, and she’s a yellow lab, possibly mixed with small amounts of some other breeds. We don’t know entirely where she’s from. My mom’s cousin saved her from some abusive owners, so we don’t know all she’s been through. Unfortunately, although she had a better home, it still wasn’t too great. He never took her to a vet, never walked her, fed her cheap food, sometimes he didn’t give her water because he didn’t want to take her outside, and just didn’t give her the love a dog deserves. After deciding he didn’t want a dog anymore and more or less just abandoning her, we took her in and are making her a part of the family. I’m an animal lover but Cleo didn’t really like me, so my parents are letting scout be my dog. I’m making sure she gets treated the way she should and am giving her lots love!
