summary: Jungkook and Y/n have been best friends since high school. They were together basically 360 days out of the whole year. Whatever Y/n wanted to do, Jungkook was always down for it. Every happy memory they had, they were with each other. You just can’t imagine them not being friends. Oh.. well Jungkook can, actually. I mean, he can imagine them to be more than friends. At least that’s all he ever thinks about. Jungkook loves Y/n. Of course as a friend and more than that. They have everything in common. In his eyes, she’s perfect for him. Jungkook just wishes that something they can also have in common was the feelings he has for her.

summary: Yoongi was always listening to music. He knew a lot of good songs and always had recommendations no matter the genre. His friends always ask him to send them playlists as he always knew the right songs for the right moods even though the playlist he always had on repeat included only love songs. Love songs he wanted to experience. Then one day, Y/n came into his life. He was the girl he dreamed about. But, he didn’t know how to tell her how he felt… or even if he should. So he did what he knew best and sent her his favorite playlist. Anonymously at least. That part was an accident.

summary: It wasn’t a summer fling. It was a forever thing. At least that’s what they hoped. The two met back in America. Oregon to be specific. Like every classic summer movie, they fell in love whilst on vacation. Unfortunately, school came up to break them apart. But that wasn’t going to stop them. With over 9,000+ miles standing between them, the two continued to spend every waking second they had with each other. At least when they weren’t in class, studying, or doing homework. Well, that’s the thing. They were getting busier and busier and the time they had with each other was getting shorter than it already was. They could only wish that they were together in person. But they’ll make it work for now. Let’s just hope nothing gets in their way.

summary: So college is not like the movies where it’s all about the late nights, the parties, and the drinking. It’s quite the opposite actually. For Y/n, it’s just about trying to pass class and graduating. Which is not so easy when the one thing you hate the most is studying. With the pressures of society, and her family, to already graduate, get a job, and get married, Y/n’s shoulders were starting to get sore from the weight of stress that she was given. Thankfully, a new restaurant opened up across campus and their good food always made her feel better. That and the handsome waiter that turns ‘what can I get you today?’ to long, late night phone calls. It’s a bit dangerous, but he’s so sweet.

summary: She was that quiet kid that kept to herself in class. Didn’t have any friends as friends made her feel lonelier than when she was by herself. At least her old friends made her feel that way. So instead, she went out solo. In restaurants and in cafes. She liked to sit there and watch people… in a non creepy way. Living through people helped her feel less lonely. Seeing an old couple go on cute, little dates gave her that small bit of hope for love. Something she was too afraid to experience one day. Well.. until a fluffy haired boy sat next to her as she was dozing off in her usual seat in her favorite cafe. Taehyung quickly became her friend that made her feel everything but lonely. Even taking away her fears of love as they began to fall in love watching people fall in love.

summary: She’s in a long term relationship. He’s her partner for a class project. Jimin and Y/n both spend a lot of time with one another. In the short amount of time they were given, the two went from strangers to friends. Within the after school meetups and late night rehearsals, they began to know a lot more about each other. Too much, actually. Y/n tells Jimin about her relationship that just doesn’t do it for her anymore. Is this something she just needs to work out with with her current significant other, or should she cut it off? She has always thought that he was the one. But he isn’t the same anymore. So many questions ran through her head and Jimin was always there to listen. Now she’s wondering… is Jimin actually the person she’s been looking her whole life for?

summary: School was hard, work made her tired, and her social life was nonexistent. Y/n grew tired everyday and she just wasn’t feeling it anymore. There wasn’t much time for her to be happy if school and work kept her busy. She also didn’t have any friends to fill up any extra time with. Not that she had much free time herself. Every extra hour she gets, she fills up with the sleep she missed from studying. One day actually, she fell asleep on the bus on the way to class. Yup, her head fell right on a stranger’s shoulder. Hoseok was surprised to see a cute girl resting his head on him. The small interaction caught his heart and he hasn’t left her since. Everyone knew that if happiness was a person, it would be him. He was the happy pill that Y/n didn’t know she badly needed.

This is a whumpblr/writeblr space! Sometimes I’ll post/reblog writerly posts, memes, etc., but a lot of the posts/RBs will be about whump. I post original writing and reblog the work of others that I enjoy, gifs, tropes, prompts, and other such things.
I’m down with asks and tag games but may not respond right away. If I seem to ignore you, it’s not personal, it just means real life is taking priority at that moment.
I love comments and feedback on my writing and welcome them with open arms.
A note on age: I know I can’t actually stop you from accessing this blog, but I do not wish to interact with people under 18. It’s not personal, I’m sure you’re great, but it has everything to do with my job IRL. Please respect this boundary and come back on your 18th birthday.
My favourite elements of whump have to do with power dynamics, intimidation, dread, and angst. I love captivity-with-a-cause: kidnapping for ransom or as leverage over someone else, prison (in fantasy or historical settings, less so for modern settings though it’s not a hard rule), and the like. Fantasy presents so many creative versions of this trope, so I do love me some fantasy whump! It also gives lots of opportunity for dungeons, shackles, and other fun implements like that. Gratuitous tying or chaining up is always delightful to see. Pining, desperately trying to protect a loved one (…and failing), and self-sacrifice are other big tropes I love, so expect to see lots of those!
As for characters, I love it when they are as far as you can get from perfect, pure, and innocent—when they’re good enough people, but whose flawed or maybe even problematic decisions lead them into trouble. Always, always, I want my characters to have a hand in their own fates. Pure-hearted victims of the narrative who simply fall into a whumpy situation are cute and fun, but not what I tend to write.
A few odds and ends I’m such a sucker for, so you’ll probably find them in my writing:

Nature and weather helping to set the scene (oh my goodness, how many times can I work snow into one story?)
If romance, either slow burn or instant attraction

You probably won’t find much gore or explicit noncon here, but there might be some elements of those in my stories or in reblogs. I don’t write BBU or pet whump.
