 Candle Cove “episode” idea that’s been rattling around in my brain:

The Laughingstock crew gets stranded on that abandoned burned island that’s mentioned on the wiki, and must find a way out before Skintaker finds them (he is also on the island for reasons not made immediately clear). This is difficult though because the island is Very Haunted by restless spirits, and Red Mary left this kind of…dark energy after she burned the place years prior. The island has a weird effect on people because of this; dark despair and paranoia seems to overpower people who spend too long there, and they’ll start hallucinating their worst fears, hearing the voices of dead loved ones, ect. It kinda works like that episode of Avatar where the gang is stuck in that swamp? Anyway a lot of character details/lore/hints at backstories are revealed by this, like there’s maybe a part where Percy is terrified of an illusion of what seems to be a memory of his (the memory of most of the Tarantula Crew dying, but only a vague glimpse of it), and its the first hint we get of his past involvement with the Tarantula Crew, as well as the first time the audience sees Thade. idk I have more thoughts on this idea that I’ll probs post later.
