this site is amazing! they have information as well as charities you can donate to, please donate or share!
here’s a couple other articles:

there’s also this article on how big tech companies are complicit: https://www.newsweek.com/genocide-behind-your-smart-phone-74875

we need to start also putting pressure on our representatives for this. our silence is complicity.
the video is only a couple minutes and really informative!
it’s also disgusting to see how tech companies make prices so high and even have anti repair measures. if you can, buy tech secondhand!

^ here’s some instagrams i follow that have amazing information on what’s happening in Sudan and the Congo!
additionally you can donate to:
^ both of these organizations are 501(c)(3) so if you make a donation it’s tax deductible!

Together we will make a difference
For every ‘Free Congo’ item purchased, we donate directly to a globalgiving.org project dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating these children, offering them a path towards a brighter, hope-filled future.

A child is not a toy, a weapon, a tool, or clay that you can mold into whatever you want. A child is a child. A person. And deserves respect and does not deserve to be forced to die from grueling labor that adults don't want to die from. Free Congo. End child slavery.

About 48% of the world's cobalt reserves are in Congo, but 70% of the world's mined cobalt comes from there.
Cobalt is toxic to touch and breathe - and there are hundreds of thousands of poor Congolese people touching and breathing it day in and day out.
for people who don’t know what’s happening in congo, here is a good thread explaining the abuse people of congo are experiencing daily.
