Sleep is more of a luxury than a necessity for higher vampires. For Regis, it’s how he stays sane in a world where he needs to constantly mask his true nature. It offers him repose, a temporary escape, a few hours to forget his wretched disposition. For Regis, it’s the nearest thing to the mind-numbing high human blood gave him all those years ago - the nearest thing he can permit himself to have.
And so he’s a light sleeper, more often than not he is haunted by nightmares - of dread. And so sometimes he stays up at night, staring into nothingness, dissociating til he falls asleep again, or til the sun rises.

He hides behind a veil of sanguinity but he slowly becomes nihilistic (and depressed) throughout his decades of existence, his strong sense of moral decency (and his found family) being the only thing that keeps him afloat. Geralt is the only man whom he trusts enough to share his deepest and darkest thoughts over a bottle of mandrake brew.

Corvo Bianco - he co-manages it😭😭😭😭😭After Geralt’s retirement he asked his herbalist and moonshine connoisseur partner to help him with his newfound vocation. Managing the vineyard, living with Geralt, seeing Ciri living her own life in her own terms, Yen loosening up and for the first time, actually feeling utterly content, gave Regis’s long life a new meaning. He has found his family.
☠ - angry/violent headcanon
He was incredibly petulant in his younger years when he had a crippling addiction, his violent outbursts over the smallest of things (like a going by a night without blood or subpar drink) is what made his lover flee and ultimately led to his demise, and so after his 50 year slumber he swore to channel his frustrations in healthier and productive ways, to rationalize his anger before acting upon it. But nobody is perfect, as sometimes this spills over in the coldest and most brutal of diatribes.
✿ - Sex headcanon
His strong desire for intimacy is deeply rooted in his need for belongingness. Not being able to get around sober- blood became his clutch. The first taste was immensely satisfying - the warmth of a body pressed against him, the exchange of fluids, the filthy conversation - and the high. He has laid with various genders and various races in various manners and in various places. He was also not beyond the prospect of seducing his thrall first before bleeding them dry. Sexual tension adds flavor after all, as posited by one book, not to mention the feeling of being wanted gave him unspeakable gratification. 50 years of forced sobriety allowed him to rebuild his relationship with sex with it no longer holding that much urgency as it did in his younger years.
He’s an insufferable tease, incredibly touchy, has an oral fixation, and devilishly kinky. The type who’d give head rather than receive. Acts of service is his main love language, especially during sex.

I believe he’s a utilitarian - practicality over aesthetics. That being said wherever he lives, his house is more akin to a laboratory/greenhouse than an actual abode. Minimally decorated, but meticulously maintained. The humidity, temperature and the amount of light entering is closely monitored, especially where he keeps his produce and concoctions.

Differences intrigue him, but shared experiences and outlooks are what make him fall to his knees - someone whom he can be completely and unabashedly candid, and vulnerable with. He never holds back with affection being increasingly playful/outwardly flirtatious with every affirmation he gets, but he always keeps yourcomfort in mind. He’d gift a very personal (he grew it and arranged it himself!) bouquet of your favorite flowers, bring you homemade food, and when you both get comfortable with one another, he’d always find an excuse to trail kisses on your fingers, wrist, and neck

Doting mother hen type, but gives his child enough freedom to explore the world on their own, encourages inquisitiveness, answers every question they have with respect (he doesn’t dumb it down), puts moral decency and compassion in the forefront of parenthood, wisdom second. Would never abuse (physicslly or otherwise) a child, but seeing irresponsible parenting ticks him off immensely.

dislikes - duplicitous people, I believe seeing needless violence triggers him. He grew weary of mages post-Stygga.

Talkative, inquisitive, mild-mannered, timid. Regis had immense trouble mingling with folks his age but possessed insatiable thirst for knowledge, and he was bullied for preferring books over physical activity (the closest thing was planting and caring for his first ever tree). He didn’t know much about his parents. They left him early on in his childhood. Growing up without a family left a scar on him. It was around this period of isolation did he meet Dettlaff, a fellow outcast (only because he prefers the company of the more stoic of the vampirekind, bruxae, katakans and the like) .They bonded over their shared solitude, but they soon begin to realize that this is the one and only thing they have in common, for Regis achingly longed for a place to belong, amongst peers, that which Dettlaff shunned, and so their paths diverged.
∇ -. old age/aging headcanon
He looks older than he actually is, having lead a difficult life. He remarkably aged due to the amount of trauma his body endured during the assault on Stygga. Dettlaff might have sped up the process, but it will take roughly another decade for him to look like his age again.
♒ - cooking/food headcanon
His expertise in botany and alchemy trickles down to his culinary adventures. He’s a wild card in the kitchen, coming up with the weirdest of recipes that always end up surprisingly sublime, that being said he is the type who does precise measurements, all neatly written in his little recipe book, which looks more like an atlas than an actual recipe book.
He also avoids meat in the first few years of his self-imposed rehab.
☼ - appearance headcanon
This is Hansa era.
6ft tall, with wavy, grizzled hair that falls just above the shoulders, brushed back, accentuating his widow’s peak. He wears a modest ensemble, neutral colored robes, a travelling hat and cape, and wears spectacles for show (his eyesight is perfectly fine). In order to blend in, he must look as inconspicuous as possible, but he is not beyond playing around with the stereotypes associated with his kind, he immensely enjoys donning an all-black luxurious pieces, wearing religious articles, and silver. He also smells divine: of Bergamot, cloves with a hint of cinnamon, he smells like a spice cabinet but in a good (and sexy) way.

He has scars on his neck, arms and chest from that fateful night, a brutal reminder of what he was and what he should strive to be.

Kimuri fills the void of a father figure Lunarre has been missing in his life - well, more grandfather, but it’s practically the same thing to him. Of course, this only applies to the verses in which Lunarre walks the path of redemption. If he loses his humanity and is consumed with darkness, he turns on Kimuri and eats him - as in the drabble I wrote - the BAD END.
Lunarre is secretly impressed by Kimuri and admires the seraph’s latent strength, especially as he covets such power for himself. Depending on the verse, this can go very well or very badly. In my SERAPH. verse, Kimuri would become a very valued teacher for the inexperienced Lunarre.
Thanks to Kimuri, Lunarre now has a plethora of old fart jokes stored in his memory bank. He is desperate to use them.
Kimuri’s stubbornness pisses him off, but Lunarre also realises (in good verses anyway) that this is the pot calling the kettle black. They’re both bull-minded - though Lunarre will draw the line at blatant acts of self-harm (like going near dragons). He is not afraid of breaking the old man’s legs to stop him doing it.
Lunarre is hesitant to challenge Kimuri to an eating contest, as he’s proud of his record and doesn’t want to be beaten by an old fart.

Angry/Violent Headcanon:
Being a Werehog, Monster uses a considerable amount of conscious effort to keep his anger in check and over the years he’s gotten good at hiding when he’s truly angry. When he lashes out he really lashes out, though. And beware the full moons, since even in the daylight hours before the moon rises he’ll be irritable and on edge.
