Not giving and passing responsability for something you created to someone is so powerful. Like you created that, why am i supposed to bring it on? Expecially if it's something yes beautiful but with so many negative parts that can't live togheter. It's special but like every other world and like evry other thing i can create from zero

The Boy And The Heron Is the first movie that instead of saying "the world we're giving you Is fucked up and horrible and it's up to you to fix it" went "i cannot balance this world anymore because im old and my time has come, so im giving you the choice to be my successor as the peacemaker or war instigator and i think you're worthy of... nevermind the fascist bird fucked it completely. go live your best mundane life and be happy to have loved ones" and i think thats beautiful

These two main protagonists are my #1 favorite anime couple in anime. I really enjoyed watch this movie when I was little and immediately love the story behind it. Fun Fact: My first anime crush was Kohaku "Haku" River❤.

Studio Ghibli Romances Be Likewhat If We Didnt Kiss, But Instead Both Spiritually Matured As People Because

“studio ghibli romances be like “what if we didn’t kiss, but instead both spiritually matured as people because we met each other.”

“I’ve become skeptical of the unwritten rule that just because a boy and a girl appear in the same feature, a romance must insue. Rather, I want to portray a slightly different relationship, one where the two mentally inspire eachother to live-if I am able to, then perhaps I’ll be closer to portraying a true expression of love.” -hayao miyazaki

I can relate to No-Face

It’s been YEARS since I’ve seen the Studio Ghibli movie “Spirited Away”! I watched the movie earlier today and was not disappointed. It still remains one of my most favorite Japanese animation movies. When I saw No-Face the first thing I thought was how much I was creeped out by him and his appearance. However, as an adult, I can see more relatability in this character. I was so intrigued by his disposition. He seems like such a lovable spirit, but it depends on his environment as well as what, or who, he eats. I read about his personality on the Studio Ghibli Wiki and found this: “He (No-Face) is shown to be capable of reacting to emotions and ingesting other individuals in order to gain their personality and physical traits. He is a lonely spirit. Not knowing much about the Bathhouse or about other spirits in general. No-Face learned by example and adapted to his surroundings.”

I can relate to the loneliness as well as reacting to the emotions of others. It can be exhausting! I become wholly invested in individuals who seem “out of the ordinary” in terms of views and morality. So, I can see why he took an interest in Chihiro, and became attached to her. She acknowledged his existence and treated him with kindness, aside from the fact that he ruined the Bathhouse. Towards the end of the movie, Zeniba saw his true personality as well as creativity skills and took him as her apprentice, which was sweet!! She never once saw him as a nuisance.

I also believe that No-Face represents what can happen to a person who is in a corrupt environment. When he ate some of the staff at the Bathhouse, he took on not only their personality, but also their corruption. Now that he is with Zeniba, he can continue to don his timid, yet wholesome personality.
