I just realized that what makes IwaOi stories different is that they basically never have a 'falling in love' period because they already are in love. IwaOi ffs aren't about them falling in love, they're about them getting together, or just coping (maybe badly) with their feelings for the other.
Im supposed to be sleeping but im thinking of Yahaba being an Oikawa fanboy hc and that it would make for a great kyouhaba/iwaoi ff if Yahaba had a crush on Oikawa, and that leads to them developing a friendship.
