Not everyone is blessed with a soulmate.
Since having a soulmate bond is rare, it made you feel special. To have a certain someone out there just for you, it made your heart beat a little faster as anticipation crept up to you.
You've spent countless days daydreaming about the one you're destined to be with. You often wondered if you'll get the spark when the two of you meet that your mother gushes about as she reminicised about her first meeting with your father.
You let out a sigh as you traced the faint undistinguishable lines slowly forming as you grow older.
Looking at your parents, they seem to be happy being with one another. You only hoped that you and him will be like that someday.
So when it finally made itself visible on your 15th birthday, you were more than elated.
You stared at your wrist with shock and amazement. Obviously, you expected this ever since you were young but you didn't expect it to be.. him.
Overwhelming emotions took over you. You felt giddy, excited and you were longing to meet him. In your state of happiness, you didn't even notice the curious looks your volleyball crazed friends give to you.
Hinata whined as he tried to grab your arm, only for you to turn away. "LET ME LOOK-" Kageyama, his soulmate, quickly smacked him upside the head. "Oi! Boke! Let Y/n have her moment! What does it say..." His voice died down as he read what was on your wrist. The name slowly turning gray as the two of you stared at it.
You felt your heart drop into your stomach.
"W-what's happening.." You mumbled, still not believing your eyes. It can't be.
Your body went into shock as your eyes went wide and you felt your mouth go dry. Hinata, who already peeked over your wrist could only stare in disbelief at the mark .
"No way..." He breathed out as his gaze locked into Kageyama's mirroring the confusion and shock on heir face.
Kageyama and Hinata looked at you worried expressions, they can feel their heart breaking alongside yours.
When your soulmate's name fades into gray it means he/she decided to be with someone who doesnt have a soulmate. Basically rejecting your bond and making you soulmateless.
All those daydreams of him down the drain.
All those stupid scenarios you created with a fairly domestic life with your destined flew out the window.
You looked at them with a closed and teary eyed smile and laughed "Why are you guys looking so glum? I'll be fine." Hinata pulled you into his arms, letting you let out the unshed tears.
He already broke your heart even if you haven't met yet.
"Akaashi..." Bokuto was oddly quiet, he stared at his wrist with unknown emotion swriling in his eyes.
Akaashi already knew what was going on as dread enters his system. Will Koutaro leave him for his destined soulmate? Or will he stay with him?
Either way, no one is safe from getting hurt.
"I got my mark.. I guess that they're a first year.." Bokuto mumbled, golden eyes still transfixed at the writing on his arm. Akaashi bit his lip and looked. "I guess so too.."
Koutaro looked at him and gently cupped his face and stared at his gunmetal eyes. "Keiji.. You already know I made a promise to you."
Akaashi's eyes welled up with unshed tears as he gingerly placed a shaky hand on rop of Bokuto's "What if you find her better than me?"
"I won't. You're the only one for me." Bokuto tells his lover, sealing their lips with a reassuring kiss.
You felt like throwing up.
The bus barely moved and you were about to throw your guts out. You don't know wether it's from nervousness or you just suddenly got severe carsickness. Probably both.
The bundle of nerves in your stomach gradually grows as the bus you're in gets farther and farther away the school grounds.
Asahi eyed worryingly as he rubbed small circles on your back, "You don't have to attend it Y/n.. You can still get off the bus, we haven't left Miyagi yet." He chuckled, attempting to make you feel better. Afew chorus of agreements filled the bus.
You shook your head and gave him a small smile, "Im a manager, I need to do my duty to take care of you guys. And this-" You pointed at your wrist. "-Won't hinder me from functioning like I normally will." You heard a snort somewhere in the bus which made you growl. That damn dino nerd, you made sure to send him a glare while he just acted like nothing happened.
Asahi ignored the sound as he fought the urge to laugh as he nodded along, scared to upset his kouhai even more. "If you say so.."
"Didn't you say you want to cover the mark?" Sugawara piped up, his head peeking above the seat infront of you. He tilted his head slightly as you nodded and snapped your fingers.
"Oh yeah! Let me go grab my concealer.. Thanks for the reminder Koushi senpai!" As you finished concealing, you showed it to the third years which made them nod in approval.
The squeaking of shoes and volleyball hitting the floor made your nervousness grow as you helped Takeda sensei lug out the things that you'll be using during your stay. Takeda probably noticed your state as he smiled and patted your back. "You'll be fine."
You sighed mentally as you gave your teacher a curt nod. I hope so too.
Once you stepped inside, oh you were absolutely not fine. Why?
Because you saw him looking around and asking for you.
You hid behind a beanpole tall blonde which happens to be your classmate stingyshima. He looked down and gave you an inquisitive stare.
"What are you doing stupid? That's going to make you stand out even more." He rolled his eyes as you sent a glare to him. "Shut it you bastard, this is the only help you can offer me."
"Tsk. Who said I was helping you?" He looked down to meet your annoyed gaze with his mocking ones.
"Well you would've already stepped aside- Hey!" You exclaimed as he did what you told.
Luckily no one heard you, or so you thought.
Konoha hummed to himself, looking at you with amusement.
"Found her."

"Hey hey hey!"
Bokuto cheered as they scored another point against Karasuno, with the help of his team mates.
You couldn't help but wince.
Either from another point loss for your team or from him. You'll never know.
Looking at the scoreboard, you jotted down the scores on your notebook and pointed out some of the Karasuno team seems to be doing. You willed yourself to drown in the role of being a manager just to prevent yourself from thinking of Bokuto and his lover, the one he replaced you with; Akaashi Keiji.
You need to occupy yourself, if you haven't then you surely already confronted them both. But who are you kidding, you can't. You're too weak to do that.
Akaashi's mouth tilted upwards as he watched his hyperactive boyfriend being more hyped up. His gunmetal eyed made it's way to your unsuspecting form. The faint smile he had slowly dissappearing.
Mixed emotions swirl inside him creating a one big giant mess. He felt conflicted, disappointed and guilty.
Should he apprach and talk things with you or just let it be? After all, you haven't made a move to talk to him or Koutaro.
And to be honest, Akaashi is very grateful for that. There's less chances for Bokuto leaving him for you.
Akaashi can feel his insecurity and guilt eating at him day by day the longer you stayed here.He knows he's being selfish but he just can't lose Koutaro, even for his destined soulmate.
He was pulled from his inner turmoil as Bokuto jumped up and down infront of him.
"Akaaashi! Did you see my spike? Did you?! did you!?" Bokuto asked his lover, golden eyes twinkling with delight, Akaashi smiled and nodded.
Now he remembers why he's being selfish; he remembers why he won't be able to give the love of his life away.
It's because of the way how those golden eyes stare at him.
Even though the guilt slowly starts to creep up to him, he just can't loose Bokuto. And he won't.
He would make sure of it.
A few days past by and it was the last day of training camp. Everything went by smoothly for you and the team. You could've almost sighed in relief.
If it weren't for the fact that you noticed that someone has been eyeing you a bit in the Fukurodani team for the whole day which made you a bit on edge. Maybe you were just being paranoid but who knows? Kiyoko, who noticed your uneasiness stood by your side the whole day so you wouldn't feel alone.
You sighed as you grabbed pieces of meat to put on your plate since thr coaches decided to treat their students after a long training camp.
"L/n! Look out!"
You whipped your head and saw an incoming meat getting dangerously close to you, luckily for your fast reflexes, you managed to evade it.
However, you couldn't say the same for the poor guy behind you.
"Come here right now so I could kill you."
All the color from your face drained completely, you were terrified.
Tsukishima snickered, "She really attratcs trouble." Meanwhile his friend shot him a warning glare.
At this point, everyone is looking towards you and the male who still had the barbecue meat plastered on the square of his face.
"I-im sorry!" You squeaked, carefully peeling off the meat from his face. The guy sighed, "I wasn't talking about you. I was referring to Bokuto, he was the one who carelessly catapulted the meat anyways. I'm not mad at you. Don't worry." He assured you, patting your back.
He took a closer look at you, and you swear you thought that he probably suspected you to be Bokuto's soulmate. "You're cute.. If I wasn't covered in barbecue sauce and have most of my dignity left in me I would've asked you out-"
"Heeey! Leave the poor girl alone! You're scaring her!" Bokuto shoved Tetsuroo aside and smiled at you. Once you've held eye contact you knew.
You knew that you can't hide from him anymore.

Bokuto felt it, there's no denying that he knew right away you're were his soulmate.
He felt the way your emotions pulsed through him on the day where you got your mark; He felt sadness and guilt grow in the pit of his stomsch the longer he stared at you.
On the other hand, you're about to make a run for it, you couldn't control your emotions and you might break down on the spot if you didn't leave.
Tsukishima looked around and saw the situation you were in, causing him to sigh. It's very clear that you need saving. Since he doesn't feel like a saint, he nudged Kageyama who was peacefully eating.
"L/n is in trouble- are you actually choking?" He uttered in disbelief as Kageyama lightly punched his chest. Noticing that someone is choking behind him, Akaashi quickly turned around and gave water to Kageyama, suddenly stopping when he saw one of his nightmares happening.
Bokuto grabbing your arm and leading you away from the public.
He felt his throat tighten and before he knew it, his feet led him to where you both are, hiding himself behind a wall.
Koutaro felt like shit.
He now then realized how much of an asshole he was, how he neglected your feelings and rejecting the bond instantly as soon as you both got it.
Even though he carries the heavy weight of regret in his shoulders, he only muttered out a weak—
"Sorry."
The small word that carried so much meanings, emotions and weight.
You couldn't help but sob, as you looked at him. Bokuto felt his heart break at the sight, knowing it's because of him.
"It doesn't mean anything now."
Akaashi bit his lip, his heart stinging in pain as he closed his eyes and sighed.
Koutaro desperately tries to hold your hand, pain and guilt heavily reflecting in his golden eyes. You flinched, pulling your hands away. He shouldn't be touching you; What will happen if his boyfriend sees?
"Bokuto-san, it's alright. Don't worry."
He frantically shakes his head, "Please.. let me make it right.."
You sighed, and looked up to meet his gaze. "I don't know what you wanna make right Bokuto-san. Also, i'm sure Akaashi-san will look for you now. If you'll excuse me." You mumbled and left.
Bokuto watched you walk away. Your footsteps echoing as he stood there, eyes transfixed on your form slowly intermingling with the others.
So this is what it feels like.
Akaashi bit his lip as he walked towards his lover. The footsteps that Koutaro already memorized which effectively snapped him out of his daze.
"Kou..."
Keiji cautiously approached him, he doesn't know how Bokuto would react about the situation.
"Akaashi.."
Bokuto mumbled, back still facing his lover. Akaashi tried to calm his racing heart as he responds.
"You knew, didn't you?" Bokuto's voice was small, and shaky. Keiji looked at him, beads of sweat forming on his neck.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Kou-"
Bokuto slowly turned around, "Dont lie to me.. you knew she was here but you didn't even tell me!" He yelled, hurt and betrayal flashing across his face.
Akaashi tried to step closer to him but Koutaro took a step back. "I-I can explain.."
Bokuto shaked his head, hot tears spilling from his eyes. "You know that I wanted to talk to them about this.. Do you know how she felt? We made her feel like it's her fault because I rejected the bond!" He gripped his hair, clearly distraught about the ordeal.
Akaashi whimpered, "I'm sorry kou... I-i don't want you to leave me for her.." Bokuto looked at him with unclear emotions.
"I know that sometimes your insecurity gets the best of you but.. that's where I come in, don't you trust me?"
"I trust you, Kou..."
"Save it, Akaashi.. Let's just talk about it when we get home.." Bokuto mumbled.
Little do they know there's a sly kitten hiding behind a corner.

Kuroo didn't mean to eavesdrop.
He just simply passed by unknowingly to wash his face to get rid of the sticky sauce when he saw what was going on; which is what he tries to say to believe himself. It's not like he's curious or anything.
Not at all.
He just happens to be very observant and tuned with his surroundings.
He knew what's going on, he knows the look that you and Bokuto shared. You know why?
That's because it's how he looked at his soulmate.
The way you looked into each other makes it so clear, it's almost as if Kuroo can feel it. And it makes him nostalgic. He shrugged, 'seems like I can't have her. Bokuto and Akaashi might chew me out.'
What he didn't intend to do is hear your serious conversation regarding the topic. He felt his eyebrows rose up in confusion the longer he listened.
He did what?
Kuroo felt anger spike up in his chest, to whom? He didn't know, but he knew one thing.
Bokuto is stupid.
He should've told you what's going on before rejecting the bond, he knows what you feel right now.He knows how hurt, and lonely you must've felt when you saw your mark turn to grey.
And his grey mark serves as a bitter reminder.
Almost all of Karasuno Team are frantically looking for you right now; while Tsukishima stands on a wall and observing things around.
"Fukurodani's Captain is nowhere to be seen, his boyfriend too.. They must've figured it out already.." He mumbled, scanning the area.
"Oi! Kuroo where were you!? We're gonna eat all of the meat without you!" Yaku yelled as the latter slowly jogged to him. "Sorry, the barbecue sauce was really hard to wash off." He said nonchalantly while scooping up most of the meat Kai was grilling making Yaku pissed and proceeded to yell.
Tsukishima raised an eyebrow at this, "Huh..? He seems different. Oh well." He shrugged, trying to look indifferent, although his mind is coming up with different scenarios in his head that can support his theory. "Did he..? If he did.. then-"
An amused smirk made it's way to his lips. "-He might actually win."
"Y/NNNNNN!"
Hinata's voice were like alarms in your ears as you were hit by his body weight, luckily Kageyama plucked him away from you making his soulmate glower in response.
"Bakayama!" Kageyama grunted as he tried to evade Hinata's attacks. "Stop it. Y/n, are you okay? I saw Akaashi went to you both."
You felt yourself pale at his words as you looked at him in shock. "I- what?" Soon enough, Kageyama mirrored your actions as hinata gave you both questioning looks.
"I saw him.. following you both.." Kageyama trailed off as Hinata furrowed his eyebrows, pondering. "Maybe he hid himself."
You tugged your hair, stress and worry clearly evident in your eyes. "Then that means he heard what Bokuto san said.."
Kageyama raised his brows "What is i-"
"L/n Y/n right?"
You heard an unfamiliar voice and turned your head to look, clearly not expecting the Nekoma captain smirking at you.

It seems like everything was going downhill when the training camp ended.
Bokuto is tired. Mentally and physically.
The usual training he does seems too exhausting, arguing with Akaashi has been tough and his brain can't even decipher what his math teacher is saying right now.
All he could think of is you.
Bokuto rubbed his eyes, hoping he doesn't get called to solve infront. He hardly got any sleep last night since he spent the whole evening arguing with akaash which led to him sleeping at his parent's house.
And to top it all off, what Konoha said to him last week didn't sat right with him.
"After you and L/n talked, I saw Kuroo leading her into one of the spare rooms, seems pretty interesting to me."
He gritted his teeth, he should stop thinking about you, but he stops and some form of realization sort of settled in him.
Is this how the universe is punishing him right now?
Bokuto forced the thought in the corner of his mind, he just needs to clear out his head for a bit.
What am I feeling...?
"Akaashi! Set for me!"
Akaashi felt like he was in a trance, it took a few tries for his team mates to snap him out of it. Every few seconds he would glance back to the entrance to see if his boyfriend will come practice.
"Maybe he's just late."
He tried to reassure himself, since it was normal for his lover to be late by a few minutes. Konoha raised his brows and gave Akaashi a questioning look.
"Didn't Bo tell you?"
Akaashi felt his heart rate speed up as he asked anxiously, "What?" He bit his lip, already not liking the feeling of unease settling on his stomach.
"Bo said he'll stay for a couple of days in Miyagi."
Talking to Kuroo... feels actually nice.
Even if you get fed up with his nerdy antics, you won't deny that he already got a special place in your heart.
"Hey, are you even listening to me?" You heard him complain on the speaker of your phone as you twirled a lock of your hair absent mindedly.
"What do you expect me to do? I just finished a ridiculously hard exam, my brain needs to take a breather." You snorted as you can hear the Nekoma captain sigh.
"You know that I could've helped you right?"
Hinata and Kageyama looked at you with curious looks as you tried to shoo them away. "Go do loved dovey things to each other."
"You're always on your phone! We wanna hang out with you!" Hinata pouted as he tugged your sleeve.
"I guess that's my cue to leave." Kuroo said, resulting a light chuckle to leave your lips. "I guess so too.. Talk to you later?"
Kuroo hummed, a smile plastered on his face as he talked to you on the other end of the line. "Of course."
"Bye." You said as you hanged up, although it was probably best that you shouldn't have since now you can't escape the teasing and questions that are about to come.
"You like her."
Kenma stated, Kuroo tried to fight off the smile that threatens to make it's way on his face. "How come?"
"I can tell. Now dom't bother me, I ahve to beat this boss." Kenma mumbled as the whirrs of his electronic device gets louder. Kuroo could only sigh and looked at him fondly.
"Goodluck."
Kenma snorted, eyes not leaving the console in his hand "I should say the same to you. If this is going to be like your-"
"It wont be." Kuroo cutted his friend off, a firm tone clearly evident in his voice. Kenma only gave a hum as he managed to finally defeat the boss which made him look to his bestfriend.
"You know that's Bokuto's soulmate right?"
Kuroo let out a scoff, a scornful expression making it's way on his face, "Was, Kenma. Bokuto treated her like shit." Kenma only raised a brow in response and decided to leave the conversation at that. Getting Kuroo worked up was not in one of his to-do-lists anyway.
"Shoyo, slap me right now."
Hinata gave you an incredelous look, "Why would I do that?!" He spluttered while Kageyama agreed alongside him.
"Because I see someone who looks eerily simliar to Bokuto Koutaro running to us."

Akaashi could feel his heart beating loudly against his chest as he sat on the train going to Miyagi. He fiddled with his thumb, desperately trying to keep his compsure calm to mask his true emotions.
As he thought of all the scenarios that can possibly occur, he balled his fists and let a few tears fall.
"You promised me, Kou."
You don't knkw what to say, or act infront of your supposed soumate. He shouldn't even be here in the first place, but that's the least of your concerns right now; What you're worried about is how serious he look and told you he needs to talk to you.
Hinata eyed you worriedly as he attemps to make an excuse for you to get out of the situation you're in. "Er... Bokuto-san, she isn't feeling well-"
Next thing you knew you were being checked over by the said boy. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked worriedly, putting his palm against your forehead.
You shyly stepped away and moved his hand away from your forehead. "I'm fine, Bokuto-san. Don't worry about me." Bokuto felt shivers down his spine as your hand touched his for a brief moment. It all felt familiar to him as he used to feel those things with akaashi, but he realized one thing.
This feeling he felt, is much stronger than what he shared with Keiji.
"Of course I'll worry about you! You're my soulmate.." He whispered, noticing the small wince you did as he uttered those words making his heart break.
"We.. aren't soulmates anymore Bokuto-san.." You said slowly, not failing to notice the worried looks tjrown at your way by your friends. "You should get home, it's getting pretty late." Bokuto sighed, "Can I atleast walk you to your house? I need to tell you something too." He pleaded, as much as you don't want to you couldn't.
The fact that he travelled all the way here makes it hard to turn him down. You figured that it's the least you could do. "Sure, my home isn't that far from here."
"I'm... sorry for rejecting the bond like that."
Bokuto's voice rang in your ears as you stared at the ceiling above you. You tried to not think about the whole ordeal that happened but faiiling miserably; mind still swimming with thoughts that is slowly drowning you.
Out of nowhere, your phone started to ring with the special ringtone you've set for a certain Nekoma captain. You scrambled to grab it from your desk and answered with a small smile on your face.
"Missed me, kitten?" He teased, making you roll your eyes and click your tounge.
"Cut your crap, Tetsuroo."
"Oya? What happened to being polite to your senior?"
"I am being polite, Kuroo-san."
You heard him snort as you tried to hide your giggles, you could picture him having a small playful smirk on his face as he twirls a pen in his hand, answering a chemistry assignment or stuff like that.
"Kitten?"
You hummed, propping your feet against the wall. "I told you to stop calling me that, it's embarassing."
"What's wrong?"
A sudden silence enveloped the entire room as you stopped, not knowing how to respond. "Well..." Kuroo hummed, encouraging you to continue. It's still a mystery for you on how he manages to sense your emotion.
"Bokuto went here."
That alone made kuroo drop his pen and focus all his attention to you. "What happened? Are you okay? Did he want anything from you?" He asked, worry evident in his voice.
"He said he's sorry and that he's going to fix this.." You mumbled, voice dying down. Kuroo sighed, anger and jealousy rolling of him in waves. "Then..? What did you say?" He asked, waiting for your repsonse anxiously.
"I said that there's nothig to fix. He kept telling me that when we first met." You mumbled, looking at the gray mark on your wrist.
Noticing something out of ordinary, you sat upright and looked at the mark with confusion. "What the..." you mumbled. Tracing the dissappearing lines with a light finger.
"Are you okay?" Kuroo's voice oulled you away from your thoughts as you reassured him you're fine. "It's just... is it normal for the mark to be fading? All I know is that it just turns gray.."
"Hm? My mark is starting to fade too." Kuroo replied, staring at his wrist. The name of his supposed to be lover slowly dissappearing.
He exactly knows what's going on, but he decides to keep it to himself, for now.
"Why are our marks fading?" You asked, clearly confuzed and scared. He shrugged, even though you can't see it. "I don't know. I haven't seen anyone with their marks fading. Just keep calm hm? We'll be alright. It's late, you need your beauty sleep. Just call whenever you want okay? Goodnight kitten, sweet dreams."
"Goodnight too, you sly cat." You mumbled before ending the call.
Talking to Kuroo felt like a breath of fresh air. Even if you try to deny it, when you hear him call you that stupid nickname you can feel butterlies in your stomach making you feel flustered and weird. He eases all your worries away with just uttering a few simple words of affirmation.
The longer you think about it, realization dawned in you.
Kuroo's starting to feel like home.

Kuroo didn't believe in love. Not after what happened between him and his soulmate did.
He can still feel the heartbreak, betrayal, anger and confusion that was in his chest when he'd found out she left him.
He remembers the days where Kenma would get annoyed at him for yammering about his soulmate, how excited and elated he was.
Kuroo felt special. Considering He's the only one who has a soulmate mark in his group of friends, he would proudly show off the ever forming mark.
On one uneventful weekend evening, he made kenma sleep over at his house for the purpose of 'getting to hang out more'
"Huh.." Kenma briefly glanced at the the clock, "It's already midnight.." He mumbles, continuing to play with his game as Kuroo buzzed around the room, seemingly not running out of energy while copying the spiker's pose in one of the recorded volleyball matches that was playing in the tv.
Kenma groaned, "Can you stop that? I already lost in the game.. you're making my head hurt." Kuroo rolled his eyes at his bestfriend who was in the the corner of his bed.
"It's not my fault you're just not good at it. Besides, okaa-san baked you an apple pie! So you don't have a reason to be grumpy." Kuroo huffed, sitting down besides his introverted friend.
"I only came for apple pie..."
Kenma mumbled while Kuroo snorted, "You don't think I didn't know that?" The younger boy shrugged, just as he was about to restart the game a loud gasp emitted from Kuroo.
"Did fhe mark became readable..?" Kenma mumbled as he peeked at his bestfriend's wrist.
Kuroo felt like he was on cloud nine. His eyes glimmered and his heart thumped loudly in his chest, he feels like nothing could bring him down. His thoughts ran with endless scenarios thay he formulated on his head. Kenma, who noticed his friend who's off in his own world stared at the name with curiousity (that would soon turn to anger).
Yamaka Mika.
Kuroo sighed, a lovestruck expression on his face as he gingerly traced the mark on his arm. "Don't make that face, it's weird." Kenma said as he 'bonked' Kuroo's head with a controller.
He believed that she's the one who he's going to be with until they grow old. Not once did a thought of him getting rejected passed by his mind.
He also hadn't thought that his soulmate would fall for someone else.
"U-uh Kuroo.." Yamaka mumbled, eyes downcast to the ground. Kuroo hummed, "I told you to call me tetsu-"
"I don't think this will work out."
Kuroo felt his world stop as he could only look at his soulmate with disbelief. "What do you mean...? I-i thought we-"
Mika sighed, "I tried Kuroo.. I tried to love you. I decided to give it a shot since we're soulmates. We're suppose to love each other after all, but I just—cant."
It felt like all of the weight of the world came crashing down on his shoulders as he could only utter out one word.
"Who?"
Mika gulped as she stared into her soulmate who's slowly falling apart.
"Daishou."
After the messy break up, Kuroo decided to keep his heart locked. He doesn't want anyone to enter just to break it again.
Then he met you.
Even though he desperately tries to put his walls higher, it all came tumbling down, and before he knew it, he found out that you could melt away the ice surrounding his heart easily.
At first, Kenma was hesitant. He knew how his bestfriend crumbled at the betrayal and rejection that happened a few years ago. He knew how Kuroo fell apart and how he struggled to pick himself back up.
He doesn't want the same thing happening again.
Kenma disliked you at first, he thought that you'll break Kuroo's heart again even if you don't mean it. But then, he saw how much you both meant to each other. Even if you still don't realize it.
You both healed each other's wounds.
