Gwiles reunion scene in the first promo: She just sits on the bed and acknowledges his existence. He has only one drawing of her in his sketchbook. They're far from each other. Miles is too confused to function.
Gwiles reunion scene in the actual movie: She doesn't think twice before she hugs him like her life depends on it. He has like five drawings of her in his sketchbook. They're dangerously close. He's a little confused for few seconds but then changes to flirt mode.
Living in two different dimensions means she and Miles miss a lot of each other. She misses when he finished a drawing he is really proud of or when he passes a test he was nervous about and he misses when the she and the Mary Janes play in an exciting new place or when she caught a villain after an exhausting fight. They miss a lot of each other and they probably can’t tell each other everything they missed either. Gwen knows this.
But one of the things that always awe her about missing parts of Miles’ life is how much he keeps growing and growing as Spider-Man.
“You made your own web shooters?” Gwen asked, “figured you’d take advantage of being the only Spider-Man in history to get his own. I mean, I know I did.”
Miles shrugged, “it had a little delay so I made a better one. Besides, the red doesn’t work with my color scheme.”
Gwen snorted. She could see Miles grinning at her laugh through the corner of her eye but decided not to comment on it.
“I like the new suit,” Gwen commented instead, “you used stencils for that, right?”
Miles shook his head, “no, that was the old suit. I decided to go for a new technique here… let me see if I can find the design…”
Miles rummaged through the drawings and sketches he drew while she was gone and Gwen peeked at them - seeing glimpses of colorfully drawn flowers and sketches of a sleeping Ganke - Miles playfully shoving her back. She chuckled and backed off, only to stare at a drawing that dropped to the floor.
A beautifully drawn image of her skipping from building to building, swift on her feet, graceful as a dancer - to be more specific. She picked it up, looking at the beautiful pinks and cyans and blacks. Even the white seemed to glow on the rough sketching paper. There were tiny signs of erase marks and faded pencil on the page, like Miles drew and redrew the sketch again and again until it was perfect. Gwen didn’t do emotions or affection or friendship, but she couldn’t help but feel all warm inside.
“Found it!” Miles announced and turned right back around to Gwen’s smirking face. “What?” he questioned.
Gwen showed him the drawing, smugness growing, “my, my, Miles, I knew you had a crush but this is something else.”
Miles immediately disappeared in front of her eyes, found sketch book floating in the air. Gwen blinked from the whiplash and surprise. “I-I also draw Ganke, it’s not-” Miles began protesting but she cut him off.
“You’re invisible,” she noted. That usually only happened when Miles felt like he was in danger. “Is something wrong?” she immediately asked. Her spider sense didn’t alert her to anything but sometimes it became glitchy when she was in another dimension. Maybe Miles sensed something she didn’t. Subconsciously, her hands became fists and her stance became fighting ready.
“I am?” Miles seemed surprised. “Oh,” he seemed to look down, as the sketch book moved. “I am,” he said, voice small.
“Nothing is wrong, right?” Gwen made sure.
Miles confirmed awkwardly with a hum, “no, no, nothing is wrong, I just… sometimes it happens when I have um… dangerlikesymptoms.”
Gwen frowned, trying to think of what danger like symptoms Miles could have been showing right before he disappeared. “Oh,” she said, understanding, “you mean when you blush?”
Miles whined, “no, I don’t blush I just-”
“That’s so cute!” Gwen cooed.
“Shut up!”
“I made Miles Morales blush!”
Miles groaned, “is it possible to turn more invisible?”
miles sketching gwen dancing... they are so.
I did say I'm gonna draw more of them-
ghostflower headcanon: gwen is obviously fond of physical affection, so i like to think she's super cuddly with people she trusts. like, i think of her as the person equivalent of a lap cat. miles will be trying to work on something but if he stays still long enough she will just lay on top of him and refuse to move.

i will genuinely bet $200 i will absolutely start audibly crying when gwen and miles have their special moment in btsv. whether its either of them making a move or just a reunion i will be bawling. trust.
the reason i dont ship ghostflower romantically but i do ship them platonically is because i project on gwen so hard that ive convinced myself shes an autistic lesbian who has difficulty identifying whether a relationship is romantic or platonic my bad dawg my bad

How do you feel about flowerbyte and ghostflower? (Miles x Margo) and (Miles x Gwen)
Tbh it’s hard for me to be invested in anything to do with Margo because she’s just unfortunately another ATSV character that we see so little of.
Therefore, purely off the fact that I know so little about her, I’m not sure if I can say I actively ship Flowerbyte. In the face of Ghostflower however? I root for Flowerbyte all the way 🫡
As I’ve said before, I’m not here to debate or hurt feelings. With that said, as I’ve also stated before, man oh man I do not like Ghostflower :((
We truly do not see enough of Gwen and Miles in my opinion for romance to be established. Friends? Sure! Absolutely! Give me a main character pair of male female friends where no romance happens cause god we don’t have enough media of that! But romance? I wholeheartedly do not buy it, especially on Gwens end. Miles? Sure, he’s a silly teenage boy, I can see him falling easily, but definitely not Gwen.
