@welpslytherin, Oh, my sweet angel, I have been equally blessed to know you. We share some insanely similar taste in fic, and I’ve loved everything you’ve recced me. I was super tickled when you started going through my Drarry rec lists, as well. You are such a bright light in this fandom, and your budding talent can only grow up and out, spiraling and exploding into something brilliant, both in and outside of fandom. I wanted to cry when I initially saw this post, and I took a bit to think about what I wanted to say before responding.
There are a few instances in life when you come across something that you know is going to fundamentally change you forever as a person, and joining gwb and becoming friends with all of you amazing people has been one of those things for me. My world has expanded in so many ways since I’ve known all of you, and you, Alex, in particular, have been a joy to watch experience things in Drarry for the first time because it only rekindles my own love for the fandom. It’s an honor and a gift to be able to call you my friend.
And that goes for so many of the rest of my gwb family. All of you are special to me, and I hope that I’ve managed to convey that in some small way through our journey together. It’ll have been a year for me in October, and I can’t imagine having gotten through this past year without y’all. I’m admittedly crying a bit as I type this, but that’s my Hufflepuff sentimentality showing. I don’t have the words to adequately express how much this community means to me, but thank you, Alex, for prompting me to make the attempt with your own shout out. I love y’all from the bottom of my glass heart.
