HAPPY JANMASHTAMI!!!!!!!!! AY💃🏾 AY💃🏾 AY💃🏾 AY💃🏾 MADHAV PARTY CHAHIYE!!!!
I remember that during lockdown I did makeup like Krishna and when I was young I did a small dress up of Krishna , I was wearing baniyan and a dhoti that my mother tied with her yellow chuni (pluss I had flute at that time).
That was really so fun to do 💛🦚
Girls dressed up as Kanha are prettier than guys dressed up as Kanha.
Periodt.
Fight me.
The way Bollywood has ruined the term “Raasleela” is unforgivable. From the song “Character Dheela he” where the line “..Ishaq ke naam par karte sabhi abb raasleela he” where Salman Khan even does the hand gesture of a bansuri to the dialogues of movies like Bajirao Mastani where Kashi Bai played by Priyanka Chopra’s can be seen saying “..Humne apke sath Rasleela jo nhi ki.” These Bollywood songs and movies give a negative connotation to Raasleela and tries to portray it as something sinful. Do they ever research such things before they use it in their movies or is it deliberate? These questions have to be asked if we are to preserve our culture and it’s foundations. Bollywood has twisted so many things related to Hinduism and continues to do so in the name of creative liberty.
So what does Raasleela actually even means? - The term "Raas Leela" roughly means Dance of Devine Love. Raas Leela is an ancient Indian tradition that tells the love story of childhood sweethearts ~ Lord Krishna and Radha. Picture skilled dancers in colorful costumes, swaying and twirling to the rhythm of drums and singing voices. They move like moonlight on water, showing us adventure, love, and a journey of self-discovery. Raas Leela isn't just a dance; it's a journey for your soul. Each step tells a story, filled with deep meaning and a connection to something bigger.

Imagine a dance that tells a love story that's been captivating hearts for centuries. This is Raas Leela, a mesmerizing performance that's become synonymous with Vrindavan. The exact beginnings are a bit of a mystery, but some believe it started as early as the 16th century. The Indian classical dance of Kathak also developed from the 'Raslila of Braj and Manipuri Classical Dance' (Vrindavana) also known as Natwari Nritya. Back then, these performances were a way for devotees to express their love for Lord Krishna and Radha. Through graceful movements and beautiful music, they brought to life the playful romance and spiritual connection shared by these divine beings.
Witnessing a Raas Leela performance is more than just entertainment; it's a journey through Vrindavan's rich history and a chance to connect with its enduring traditions.
Why is it important to push back against these false narratives and portrayals of hindu traditional and devotional rituals by the film industries? Because movies and songs are some of the most impactful forms of propaganda. They create long lasting impressions in the minds of its audiences.
It’s high time we take these things seriously and actually do something about it.

kanha as my manager?

i was thinking how to increase my belief in god and the universe and yesterday i thought "what if i imagine him (krishna aka the universe) as my manager?" like i tell him all the stuff i want to happen and he's like "yea we can do that- wait agni. YOU HAVENT BEEN SLEEPING PROPERLY THIS WEEK HOW DO YOU THINK YOU LL FUNCTION SAKHI-" like give it a comedic twist? like a 21st century version of god?
i feel like it'll help me deepen my belief and get me to spend more time spiritually connecting yk AND ITS WORKED BC LAST NIGHT i was talking to kanha about stuff i want and my mindset changing and all that and i was like "yeah please make sure this happens, im fully trusting you" AND IT HAPPENED TODAY so it fucking worked and also increased my belief
also incorporating other gods/goddesses like lakshmi and annapurna. ex: lakshmi is that rich caring aunt we wish we all had etc etc.
like fr imagine kanha in black jeans and a blue shirt with his curls out and a laptop on his lap sitting in your room as you talk about your life, reflecting and reviewing everything that happened and what needs to be done, like a best friend and life manager in one
and this is how the conversation would go (at least how i had it):
me: okay so this week some good stuff happened and i was really productive and social and blah blah but im so tired and idk why
kanha: *reviews over what happened this week* yeah thats great that you're doing well- agni. agni you're sleeping so less this week OF COURSE YOULL FEEL TIRED.
idk just a thought, it's helping me so i'll incorporate it into my life 🫶🏼
lakshmi as that aunt

this is how i think lakshmi would act if she was that aunt in the 21st century that we wish we all had (continuation of my previous post)
-blesses you with riches (in all aspects of life) just because you have a heart felt conversation with her
-SO SO SO open and welcome to you crying in her lap if you need to
-makes you garam garam chai as you both converse together ["darling do you want adrak in your chai or no?" ugh someone please do this to me 😭]
-gives you good luck pendants/charms or a lotus flower from her backyard pond (which is divinely blessed by her obviously)
-1000% has a cat or two always roaming in her house - whether they're officially adopted or not
potential conversation:
agni: but im so so worried about whether i can ever repay my parents for what they did, they're spending so much on my education and im so fortunate to have been able to pursue the degree of my dreams, i never want them to have any money related problems, what do i do???
lakshmi: *strokes hair gently* agni my love, all you have to do is work hard and do well, ill handle the rest and make sure there's never any problems; and i know you can achieve anything you put your mind to, kanha has told me. don't worry about such things, mein hun na
she would be sooo comforting to be around 😭😭😭
