Gift Project - Tumblr Posts

Neo Metal Sonic plush I made for a friend a little while ago (safe to say, they were very happy with him ^v^)

I made a Zenyatta plush as a gift for one of my friends! The hands and feet have plastic pellets in them (as usual) and there's a rattle in his head. For this one I deliberately avoided posting progress photos because I wanted this to stay a surprise :)

Tiny little bat plush I made for someone a while ago, thought I might as well show him here :)

A little scorpion I made as a gift for one of my teachers a year or two ago ^v^
(Bonus of Endo chilling with the scorpion under the cut)

Yesterday I finished making this little critter as a gift for one of my friends, a fancy little bat with a red tophat ^v^
As far as features go, I put some loose plastic pellets in the wings and made the hat removable via magnet. Pretty simple, but a cute little fella nonetheless!

I now present my latest plush, the king of the road himself: Motormaster!!
This is a plush of Motormaster's G1 design mixed with his G2 colour palette. In terms of features, we've really got nothing out of the ordinary: Plastic pellets in the hands and feet, plus some foam sheets to give the box around his head a bit more structure. I also decided that the wheels would be portrayed better as buttons :]
This guy was made as a gift for my partner, @motormusker! So I deliberately avoided posting progress pictures. I wanted him to be a surprise ^v^ (Speaking of my partner, he's currently writing a Stunticon-centric Transformers fanfic titled "King Of The Road". I'd highly recommend checking it out!)
[Small bonus under cut--]

Thought I'd share a pic of the planning sheet as well, this plush was redesigned a couple times and I'm very happy with how the final design turned out ^v^

A li'l dinosaur plush I made as a gift for a friend of mine :D
I didn't have many specific ideas aside from a nondescript dinosaur, so I spruced up the lad with some embroidered sparkles and snazzy necklaces. I think they came out pretty well ^v^

I've been neglecting to share the photos until now, but I finished this pal a few days ago
They were made as a birthday gift for a friend, and said friend likes pigeons and was having an MLP themed party so I combined the two concepts together ^v^
The working name for this fella has been Sparklebutt, and there's not a single thought behind those eyes (as signified by a rattle placed in the head)
Also I got a few bonuses for ya:

The initial drafts for the project (not the proper planning sheet, just me trying to visualise what I wanted to do first)

Plus some interesting progress photos

And a delightfully funny (perhaps mildly cursed) picture from the end of the completion photoshoot :]

I made a plush of Lucio's frog appearance as a (very belated) birthday gift for a friend of mine :D (We know each other IRL, but you may have seen him around here as @lustsright-handman)
In terms of the plush's features, the backpack and headphones can be removed as shown in the photos. There's also a squeaker in his chest! (Alongside the usual plastic pellets in the hands and feet)

I present, yet another plushie!
More specifically, he's a plushie of G1 Breakdown with his G2 colour scheme. I made this guy as a (once again, very belated) birthday gift for my partner, @motormusker :]
There's not much to mention in terms of features, aside from the usual "beans" in his hands and feet, alongside a bit of foam used to help his head keep it's shape

Currently trying to design some engines as marketable plushies, more updates will likely be up soon!

I've started making a plush of a certain splendid red engine ^v^
My brother's birthday is right around the corner! And after a considerable amount of deliberation, I've settled on making him a James plush (an especially difficult decision since he said he'd be happy with any of the engines)
[Also a small sidenote, the plush's face is going to look different from the coloured plans. I drew those sketches not really thinking they'd be the final product, then I just didn't feel like fussing around with trying to change the face]
Bonus chaos:

This is generally what the kitchen table looks like when I'm making the patterns (or templates, as I've grown used to calling them)

James plush update: He's starting to approach sausage territory
(actual serious update under cut)

Aside from a few more bits of hand-sewing still yet to be done, I've gotten most of the sewing sorted now!
This bottom picture is a little out of date since I procrastinated on sharing it for so long, but really the only things that've changed are that I finished the couplings and fitted the baseboard with its "skin"
Basically all I have left is the assembly, so the next James post will likely be a finished plush :]

Final James plush update:
He's currently a log
(And now it's officially assembly time!)

Guess what everybody? The world's most splendid red engine has just become the world's most splendid red plushie!!
I started making this James plush as a birthday present for my brother! And although I'm over two months late for the occasion (oops), I'm still glad to finally have this lad done ^v^
In terms of plushie features, the most notable thing is that the tender can be detached from the engine. I've also decided to put a coupling on the back of the tender which I've made to be comparable with any other train plushies I may end up making in the future.
In terms of plush construction, I should note that the baseboard is made of a block of upholstery foam I carved out, that way it'll keep its shape but still be squishy and huggable! Also, I used a thin sheet of acrylic foam for the cabin roof (but I'll probably use something else for the roof in the future since that thin sheet ended up warping at the edges and has a bit of a weird feel from the outside)
