You spent most of your time in the Hogwarts library. You had friends but it was really a small group and they’d rather be out and about, where you’d rather be in the library or snuggled up with a blanket and a book by the fire in your house’s common room.

You didn’t have a boyfriend either. You did, however, have a crush. Like a serious crush. Every time he was around you got nervous. Your friends always teased you for it. While you tried to keep it subtle, you were almost positive that he knew you liked him.

Who is he?

George Weasley.

One of the Weasley twins that were always causing some form of trouble around the school. They both always seemed so eccentric and outgoing. The exact opposite of you. Which is why you thought that he would never like you back. 

Oh how wrong you were. 

He could hardly keep his eyes off of you during classes. And, much like with your friends, Fred teased George constantly. And while George would always pull pranks and things he had no idea how to approach you, and probably never would have if he hadn’t seen you in the library.

Your friends had ditched you to do Merlin knows what, and you needed a new book to read since you had just finished your last book. You picked one out and sat at one of the tables. A few minutes later you heard someone sit in the seat across from you but your too immersed in the story to care who. 

Eventually you do look up and see George Weasley sitting across from you. You start to internally freak out wondering what you should do and just decide to ignore him and pretend that you didn’t see him. It’s working pretty well until he decides to talk to you.

“Hey Y/n. Whatcha reading?” He leans forwards on the table. You look up and pause before answering him.

“A-a book?” 

“Yeah okay but what book?” He says chuckling with a smirk.

“Just one I picked up from the muggle section.” 

“Oh cool” He leans back into his chair and you two continue talking.

You both had a lot in common. You two liked a lot of the same books. You were surprised when you found that out, you always figured he cared more about pranks and things over books. Apparently you were wrong. 

You two just sat there and talked about anything and everything until George realized that the library was completely empty. 

“Yeah we should probably head back to our dorms.” You say laughing, you get up from your chair and as you two walk out of the library he stops in his tracks and turns to look at you.

“Um, Y/n, would you like to go on date with me?” George seemed really nervous and you thought that he was working up the nerve to ask you this all night. 

“Y-yes. Of course, I would love to go on a date with you!” You stammer out. 

He smiles at you and takes your hand while you walk back to you dorms and continue to talk about whatever you could think of.

You stop in front of your dorm and he kisses you on the cheek to say goodnight.  You walk into your dorm and collapse on the bed, not really believing that what just happened actually happened.

You eventually roll out of bed and change into your pajamas, then you get back in bed and fall asleep with a smile on your face, thinking about your upcoming date.
