Losing my mind i never draw guys but they look so fine.. if they ever need a third :praying: ..... Anyways hc, as a reference to mcd, Laurance has central heterochromia with green, but the majority of his iris is the blue. And also hc that he wears glasses/contacts, but wears contacts basically everywhere but home, (another reference to mcc) from when he went blind in mcd, I like to think his eyes didn't return fully to how they were idk. I like referencing their former selves in my mystreet/pdh designs of them . Also I'm writing a pdh garrance fic so they're on my mind 24/7 atm ngl... anyways my bbygirls
PDH hc that Laurance has a shitbox car that he got off of facebook marketplace and he picks Garroth up everyday for school in it, and it's got a bunch of empty beer cans from their random late night hnag outs and they leave them in the back so they don't get caught drinking when the cand appear in their trash bins at home, and other random shit that he can't be fucked cleaning up.

The sketch looked fine but the lineart.. uhm.) anyways, my tablet is sooo much more saturated than my laptop and my laptop has terrible contrast so my phone is literally my only good reference for how my colours look, so i'm gonna have to edit the colours and contrast on this to the nines once i'm finished bc otherwise it just looks dull and boring lol
anyways, i love him and he's kind of suffering in this very moment but that's okay he's a man that's their god-given right.

Obvi it's partially being me a few months from graduation so I'm getting all the pent up highschool teenage angst and love and pinning it onto them, but also they're just such good versions of their characters. Pdh Garroth and Laurance feel a lot more like mcd Garroth and laurance, and I'm working on a headcanon for that and I'll talk about it one day, but idk 🥰🥰
Like they definitely had a thing going on that they didn't really speak about to anyone or each other, esp once they graduated BC they barely saw each other until they moved in together after university and realised they were still interested in each other but didn't know how to access it BC they weren't teenagers anymore and we're now grown ass adults who should realistically know how to handle it.

Imagine garroth constantly trying to show laurance songs, and laurance being so done with him because it's half taylor swift style country and half the most 2000's / 2010's fuckboy type music that he genuinely enjoys and is constantly listening to. Is that a photo of the billboard top/hot 100 from 15 years ago? No, it's a screenshot of Garroth's playlist and you can't skip any of the songs. Or commit suicide to escape. And Garroth is now banned from the aux in laurance's car because because hearing the slightest beep of house music fries his brain

Some lore thoughts going into this illustration — feel free to ignore:
I was thinking this takes place in S2 in the Zianna Ro’Meave rescue arc, where Garroth returns to O’Khasis after many years to rescue his mother…He comes across their oldest (historically, the first in Ru’aun) cathedral and finds it in a wrecked and pillaged state.
The pious folk have pretty much abandoned the cathedral following Zane’s disappearance for 15 years and the Tu’la invasion was the nail on the coffin. The cathedral is completely barren of life except for the few intact stained glass windows that recount the history of the Divine Warriors.
Around this time it’s revealed that Garroth is the current holder of Esmund’s relic— is he anxious? Lost? Jumpstarting his quarter-life existential crisis?
I hope that everything here in this illustration captures my vision and conveys it to you. This is pretty much a love letter MCD HAHAHAHA
I think 99% of the reason I can't draw Garroth is because I can't attach his face to like, any actor or person or anything. Like with Laurance, in my mind I was thinking of a bunch of different actors and artists all at once so it kind of came naturally how I drew him, but I can never seem to see any art of Garroth and can never make any art of Garroth that I think actually looks like him.

I was gonna post this later but I’m not gonna draw Zane I choose child neglect instead. Anyways look at my beautiful husband and his emo younger brother that’s technically lived longer than him and god’s favorite nerd
I drew garroths Season 2 fit cuz I wanted him when I saw that sorry and I decided to catch up a bit and felt insane all over again
Garroth and Zane in MCD is so funny because imagine you live in a small town, so small that everybody knows everybody. And then this guy shows up who wears a full face tactical helmet all the time, and just goes by the name William. No last name or anything, just William. And he becomes this well known person who is close to the town’s mayor despite being very mysterious.
But then suddenly the mayor is assassinated for some reason (who assassinates a mayor in a town that literally no one knows?)
So everyone assumes this William guy will run for mayor because he took it upon himself to handle all the town’s matters after the mayor died, but he refuses. Like he gets genuinely upset whenever someone mentions it. And the guy is still wearing the helmet 24/7, by the way.
So then the town just?? Doesn’t have a mayor?? And so William is running around doing everything until this random person with amnesia arrives and takes over.
Then one day two people from your town is getting married. The bride’s mom hires this priest to officiate the wedding and it’s… Prince Harry?? Like literally the freaking prince from England??
And your like “that’s a bit overkill for this small town wedding but ok”
But then Prince Harry is like “that William man must reveal his face or else I can’t be here”
But William refuses and so he just doesn’t go to the wedding.
So Prince Harry officiates the wedding, and then unexpectedly William arrives, and it’s… Prince William?! The whole time the weird guy who wears a full face tactical helmet 24/7 that’s been taking care of your small town is the first born son to the king of England??
And throughout the whole night the two brothers are just giving each other the stink eye.
