“You can’t keep pretending it didn’t happen, ‘cause guess what? It did!”
“Just please be my best friend right now, not the guy I just confessed my love to.”
“Stop pretending you’re okay, cause I know you’re not.”
“Just talk to me.”
“Bite me.”
“If you insist.”
“I think I’m in love with you, and that scares the shit out of me.”
“Why are you so nice to me?”
“We’ll get through this, I promise.”
“You’re so fucking hot when you’re mad.”
“You’re mine. I don’t share.”
“Just shut up and kiss me.”
“If we get caught I’m blaming you.”
“Make me.”
“Do you want to kiss as bad as I do right now?”
“I think I forgot how to breath.”
“Stop biting your fucking lip!”
“You’re blushing.”
“I missed something didn’t I?”
“You come to my room and wake me up at 3 A.M, to cuddle?”
“Well, this is awkward.”
“Is that my shirt?”
“You look like you need a hug.”
“Please come home, I miss you.”
“You’re so fucking adorable.”
“I’m pregnant.”
“You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“Let’s cuddle.”
“Sometimes I really don’t like you”
“What if I told you I’ve been in love with you ever since.”
“You’re seriously a child.”
“I’m too sober for this.”
“Oh god, I need a drink”
“Do that again, I dare you.”
“I feel like I’m falling apart and nothing can fix me. Help me.”
“I can’t fucking believe you!”
“Never judge a book by its cover.”
“I was a bet?”
“I’m such a fucking idiot for thinking that you would ever fall for me.”
“Baby, open the door.”
“Were you crying?”
“What have I done?”
“I never want to see you again!”
“You hurt me. I don’t know if I can ever forgive you for what you did.”
“Will you marry me?”
“No matter where you go, how long you’re gone, even if you fall in love with someone else, I will always be here for you. Always.”
“You could lie to me, you could ignore me for days on end, hell, you could break my heart into a million pieces, but how could you cheat on me?”

9. “You’re in love with her.”
45. “We’re not just friends and you fucking know it.”
50. “Why are you so jealous?”
Tom paced around his flat, consulting with Harrison.
Tom started to feel possessive of her, and when he heard about her date, he almost burst of anger. He didn’t understand why. He thought it was because he saw her as a younger sister but in reality, it would be weird for the two of them to be fucking.
“I don’t understand it, Haz. Why do I feel this way? She should be able to date others and I shouldn’t be fazed by it,” Tom winced at the idea of her holding and laughing with someone other than himself.
“Honestly, mate, it’s quite obvious. You’re just too much of a div to see it,” Haz replied with a roll of his eyes.
“What’s so obvious?”
“It’s something you swore against when you guys decided to be fuck buddies,” the blonde sighed, remembering when Tom had told him about it. He would’ve never approved of such if he knew beforehand, knowing it could destroy their friendship.
“Something we swore against? C’mon, mate, I’m already as stressed as it is. Just tell me what it is,” Tom was tugging his curls in frustration.
“You’re in love with her, you div.”
“In love with her?” The boy spluttered, “T-That’s not possible. We swore not to, so how could I have? I made that rule.”
“Well, it’s a matter of accepting the truth or not. It’s obvious that you have feelings for the girl. Almost everyone can tell. You’re just too oblivious to tell your own feelings. Bloody hell, Y/N has liked you forever. Imagine how heartbroken she was when you told her about the rule, and now here you are, falling for her,” Haz slapped his forehead.
She stood ahead of him, held slightly tilted as the brunette stood in her doorway. He hadn’t said a word to her yet, but he replayed the interaction with Harrison in his head.
“What’s up, Tom?” The girl asked, concerned for her frozen friend.
“Can I come in?” He finally spoke, avoiding her gaze.
“Sure,” she stood to the side, allowing him to step in. She closed the door after him, “Are you all right? You look kind of pale,” her eyes surveyed his face.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” he took a deep breath, “I’m just shocked. That’s all.”
“Well then, make yourself at home. I’ve got to get ready for my date,” Y/N softly smiled, a blush rising on her cheeks.
Tom’s breath hitched, mumbling under his breath, “A date?”
Somehow, she had heard him, and replied, “Yeah, in about 2 hours. I’m super excited! This is our second date. He’s a really good guy, you’ll love him.”
He didn’t reply. His fists were clenched and ears were turning a bright red. His core clenched with jealousy.
“Do I mean nothing to you? Just a stupid fuck? Someone to get off with?” He finally burst. All the bottled up anger he had felt ever since her first date with the mystery man erupted within him.
“What? Where’s all of this coming from? You’re my best friend, not some quick fuck!” She was shocked at Tom’s outburst.
“Doesn’t seem like it to me. Here you are, getting ready to fuck with some other guy and leaving me behind!”
“I’m not going to fuck him! I’m going to dinner, Thomas, not to the club. Besides, you’re the one who wanted to be fuck buddies! You’re the one who made all the rules! There were no rules that restricted us from going out on dates and creating new relationships,” her face turning red as she screamed at him. He didn’t reply, only huffing, leaving her to continue, “Since when did you ever care about my dating life? I’ve always let you fuck around with these, these sluts you find at clubs,” she said the word repulsively. The Y/H/C girl never liked to demean any other females, but she was furious. He never cared and neither did she, so why start now? Then, something hit her, “You’re jealous.”
His eyes widened, “I’m not jealous at all.”
“Stop denying it! Why are you so jealous?” She, although burning with anger, moved closer to the boy. “You have no right to be, and you sure as hell know it. We’re only friends. You said it yourself,” she pointed a stern finger at him.
“We’re not just friends and you fucking know it!” He pushed her hand out of his face.
“Do I know it? I liked you years before this agreement! Do you know how much it hurt when you set that rule? I only took this opportunity because I knew that it would be the closest I would get from having an actual relationship with you! Now, when I’m trying to move on, you just have to get in the way and ruin it,” tears were streaming down her face.
“Darling, I-,” he was cut off by her fists pounding his chest.
“You’re a fucking div! I hate that I love you,” pain and sorrow coated her words.
“I’m so sorry, darling, if I knew I wouldn’t’ve asked you,” he grabbed her wrists, “I fell in love with you, and I know we swore against it, but I couldn’t help myself. I just did.”
“You’re an asshole,” her voice cracked, “I only have an hour to get ready, and I look like shit.”
“You’re still going on your date?”
“Yes, I am,” she ripped her arms from his hold, “I’m going to enjoy myself while you can sulk. Also, the agreement is off. I’m done,” she flicked her hair over her shoulder, walking to her room to make herself look presentable.
Tom stayed put in his spot, thinking over everything she just said to him. She still loved him, but she was going on a date with someone else. Maybe he could tell the date that Y/N still loved him and she’ll come running back to him. He couldn’t do that. She’d hate him more.
The door bell rang and he heard her yell, “Coming,” before rushing to the door.
He admired the way the scarlet dress fit her figure perfectly. It cinched at the waist and clung to her hips. The deep neckline displayed a bit of cleavage, but there was still enough coverage left for imagination. Her black heels gave her an inch or two of height. In one of her neatly manicured hands, she held a white leather clutch.
When the door opened, it revealed a similar blonde with blue eyes.
“Harrison?” Tom felt his anger growing once again, “You’re the guy Y/N is going out with?”
“Hey, mate,” Haz chuckled, “we’re not going out. She just wanted to make you jealous.”
The girl blushed, hiding her face in her hands.
“Then what was that argument for?” Tom’s voice was softer.
“She wanted to see how you’d react,” Harrison shrugged.
“I kind of got carried away,” she grinned.
“Kind of isn’t the word I would use,” the brunette stated, rolling his eyes.
“Whatever, loser. Want to go on this date or not?”
“What date?” Tom looked between Harrison and Y/N, having no clue of what was happening.
“The date I was supposedly going on. You didn’t think I got ready for no reason did you?”
“Y-You want to go with me?” Tom asked, flustered.
“Yes, you div. She does. Now hurry up. You’re going to be late for the reservation,” Haz tapped his wristwatch.
“What are we waiting for then? Let’s go,” she giggled at Tom’s enthusiasm.

masterlist add yourself on my taglist!
It all happened so quickly. You felt yourself on the edge of release when he said the three words you swore to never say to each other.
“I love you.”
Time stopped. He stopped thrusting into you, and you laid frozen underneath him.
No, it’s not possible. He couldn’t love you. He can’t say that. Why would he say that? Only to hurt you more?
Truthfully, you had fallen for Tom a long time back but never confessed it to anyone. He was your best friend, your shoulder to lean on, your fuck buddy.
“W-What?” You muttered, breaking the silence.
“I-I...” he was shaking above you, “I said nothing.” He pulled out of you, not giving you a second glance. “I should go.”
Without hesitance, Tom quickly slipped his clothes back over his glistening skin and left your flat, leaving you alone to grieve. You could hear the door click only a minute after he got off of you.
Tears slipped through your tightly shut eyes. Your breath hitched as you gasped for air. Sobs racked through your body.
“Why?” You whispered to yourself. Gradually, your voice grew louder until you were shouting, “Why? Why? Why? Why?!” Calming down, you laid limp in bed, naked, “How could you do that to me, Tommy. I love you. How could you play with my feelings like that?”
-
Tom wasn’t taking the situation well either. On the drive back to his flat, his thoughts were filled with the broken look on your face when he had said those three words. He practically saw the light drain from your eyes.
You were a naturally cheerful person. Whenever someone felt down, you were always there to show them the bright side of things. Anybody could rely on you to make their day better. It was on the rarest of rare occasions would you ever cry and look down.
Seeing the pain, sadness, and anger on your face felt like a stab at his heart. Out of all people, he was the one to hurt you the most.
-
“Oh, Tommy,” you ran into Tom’s arms, palms digging into your eye-sockets. “How could I’ve been such an idiot? All of you were right! He was fooling me to impress another girl! I was just a pawn in his game,” you cried, arms wrapping around Tom’s torso to pull him close.
“Y/N/N, you are not an idiot. He’s the idiot for using you. You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever met, inside and out. If he can’t see how precious you are, then he doesn’t deserve to see you at all.
Who cares about this other girl anyways? She couldn’t possibly be as amazing as you are. Besides, who is this girl? Stop crying. You’re wasting your tears on two idiots,” Tom spoke harshly, but his eyes gleamed with affection.
“I’ve never seen or met the girl before, but I know what she looks like. She’s actually very pretty. I wouldn’t stand a chance against her, after all, she’s the embodiment of perfection. I’m- I’m avera-” Tom cut you off.
“Don’t you even think about finishing that sentence. You are not average! She is not the embodiment of perfection because you are! Can’t you see? You are ten times the person than she is,” he softly smiled at you.
“Thank you, Tommy. Thank you for being here for me. You always know how to cheer me up,” your arms remained wrapped around hiss muscular torso.
“Always. I’ll always be here for you.”
“Do you promise to never hurt me, no matter what?” You looked right into his chocolate brown eyes, searching for honesty.
“I promise I’ll never hurt you.”
-
“I can’t leave her now. She needs my support, no matter what. I said I’ll always be there for her, so I will keep to that promise,” Tom said to himself, turning the car around.
He sped back, hoping you didn’t hate him now. He couldn’t get the thought of you hurting out of his mind, which encouraged him to not bail on his new idea.
As soon as he saw the entrance to your flat, he unbuckled his seatbelt before parking randomly. He ran towards your door and banged on the door. Now, he could only wait and hope for a response.
-
You heard a loud pounding on your door and jumped.
Who could be knocking at your door this late at night?
The pounding was consistent. You had a feeling they wouldn’t be giving up anytime soon, so you grabbed your small can of pepper spray and headed towards the entrance of your home.
“Who is it?” You asked, peaking through every nook and cranny for clues.
“Who do you think?” The familiar English accent filled your ears.
“Go away,” tears resurfaced in your eyes.
“No. You need me right now, I’m not going to leave you until you open this door and I see you are fine,” he demanded.
You hesitated for a moment, hand resting on the door knob, “F-Fine, but you are leaving right after that.”
“Let’s let fate unravel itself. Open this door, now,” he muttered the beginning to himself.
Groaning, you pulled the door open, pepper spray still in hand in case it was a creepy stalker. Luckily, it was actually Tom. His brown curls was a mop on his head with stray hairs sticking out of his hairdo.
As soon as your eyes met his, tears rolled down your cheeks.
-
The moonlight was reflected by your tears. Tom noticed the tears and pulled you into him.
“Get off! I’m fine,” you sobbed into his shirt.
It hurt him to see you lying to him even though you were obviously in pain. You always trusted him. And he always trusted you.
If only he could take back those three horrid words. Oh, how one phrase can ruin it all.
“I’m fine. Let go of me,” you sniffled, fists banging into his chest.
“Stop, I know you’re not fine. I hurt you, and I’m sorry,” he sighed, holding you even closer.
-
He lied to you. He broke his promise.
“I promise I’ll never hurt you.”
And now, he’s broken another promise.
“I promise I’ll never say those three words to you, unless as a joke.”
You weren’t hurting because he broke this promise, though. You were hurting because he said it as a joke. In such an intimate moment, he chose to say those words half-heartedly to you.
You couldn’t handle it anymore. You couldn’t handle him toying around with your unannounced feelings.
-
“You know I love you, right? Not as the goofy little girl I met back in kindergarten or as my long time best friend but as a partner. I love you, and I’ve loved you for a while now. I know I’m breaking our rules, but I can’t hold back anymore. I’ve fallen for you,” Tom confessed into your hair.
The tears in your eyes reduced. You couldn’t believe your ears.
“You what?” You asked in disbelief.
“I love you, Y/N M/N L/N, from the very bottom of my heart.”
“I-I love you, too, Tommy,” you were looking up at him now, “I’ve been in love with you ever since we were in year 8 at school.”
“If this is a dream,” he leaned his forehead on yours, “I never want it to end.”
“It’s not a dream, Tom,” you lifted your chin and inched your lips towards his.
Gently, your lips attached. Your arms wrapped around his neck, and one his hands caressed your cheek while the other rested on the small of your back. This kiss was different from any you shared from before. This was passionate and filled with love, unlike the others: rough and full of lust.
You pulled away, gasping for air, “Why did we have that arrangement in the first place?”
“I did it because I thought it was the closest I would ever get to a relationship with you,” Tom blushed, laughing nervously.
“Funnily enough, I’m pretty sure that’s why I agreed, too,” you giggled.
“I’m so sorry for hurting you, love. I should be keeping you out of harms way instead of being the harm. Please forgive me,” he begged, pouting his lips and shining his bright, wide eyes at you.
“How could I say no to that adorable face?” You bopped the tip of his nose, “I really do forgive you, though.”
“Thank you,” he whispered, “You are the greatest thing to ever happen to me.”
