Maybe she liked collecting random artifacts or something idk

Long story she short maybe she finds an artifact that caused her to turn into a salmon.

AND THEN SHE MEETS WILBUR BUT LITTLE DOES HE KNOW SHE’S ACTUALLY A FOX

AND THATS WHY FUNDY WAS A FOX CUZ MAYBE THE ARTIFACT ONLY AFFECTED HER
