To explain my chicken obsession:

🏺Greek Myth Chickens 🐓

ILIAD EDITION

(drawn and originally posted in May 2021, coloured and reposted Jan 2023)

1) Egg-chilles and Patro-cluck (Achilles and Patroclus)

an illustration of a Achilles and Patroclus, but as chickens. Achilles is broody (ahem) while Patroclus looks begging and is holding armour. line art with digital watercolour.

2) Mene-lay-us and Al-eggs-andros (Paris) (Menelaus and Alexandros [Paris])

Menelaus as a chicken, chasing Paris as a (skinny white leopard-skin clad) chicken

3) Egg-amemnon (Agamemnon)

Agamemnon as a chicken, with huge Dendra armour to hide inside.

4) Aph-roost-ite and Helen of Spur-ta (Aphrodite and Helen of Sparta)

Aphrodite an Helen of Sparta as glorious white fancy chickens, in Minoan/Mycenaean clothing and makeup.

5) Nest-or (Nestor)

Nestor as a chicken, squawking away.

6) Androma-beak, Peck-tor, and Astyan-egg (Andromache, Hektor and Astyanax)

Hektor's little family as chickens. Astyanax is a chick.

7) At-hen-a and Egg-dysseus (Athena and Odysseus)

Athena as a glowing white chicken, Odysseus as a brown chicken looking as a small carved horse thoughtfully.

8) Preen-am and Peck-uba (Priam and Hekuba [Hekabe])

Priam and Hecuba as chickens, dressed in blue in some made-up ancient-looking clothing.

9) Brood-seis (Briseis)

Briseis as a chicken, looking bruised and in rags.

10) Diom-egg-es (Diomedes)

Diomedes as a chicken, looking very serious!
