I think it is a sacrifice time has taken, because Jacks said that there is nothing of equal value to him but Evangeline and time obviously heard that and it can’t take Eva’s life since Jacks just got it back. So Time took her memories has payment. Jacks loses Evangeline this way.

As for where Apollo got the power, I think he got it from the same book that Marisol did.

And I don’t think Time can take anything else from Jacks, like his immortality because Eva was the most valuable to him. And since Time can’t take Eva’s life because that would defeat the purpose of Jacks saving it, time took her memories which is equally valuable because Jacks lost Evangeline again but in different way.

Do you think Eva’s memories is the sacrifice time has taken in exchange for her life or could it be something else?

It doesn’t really state where Apollo gets the power to take her memories so I’m wondering if it could be separate.

Could time have taken something else? Perhaps Jacks’s immortality? His immortal life in exchange for Evangelines mortal life.

Omg it makes sense, I knew there was a connection between Eve and the valors + jacks that went beyond her just being the key and I did think of Eva as a reincarnation of the Fox

Apollo and Evangeline Jacks are reincarnation. Apollo is none other than lysander theory behind it

I read the book, there was a chapter when eva was looking in the books and she found one of the honora's son lysander has a power of doing something with memory. And as we saw at last when actually honora returned only then apollo was able to erase eva's memories. So I think with the return of honora valor all the powers of the other valors are returned again. Or it could be possible that apollo is the reincarnation of lysander.

Again in many occasions we have seen that jacks mentioned apollo isn't someone eva thinks he is. I think jacks knows that apollo is a dirty person. Even jacks said apollo was his friend and it didn't clear that when their friendship begun. I think apollo either is reincarnation of lysander or he himself wasn't death all this years. This is also a question that why valors asked the archer to kill the fox so desperately that they actually cursed a spell on the archer. It could be possible that lysendar was in love with the fox too but that fox wasn't in love with him so the valors wanted the fox to die. But the fox fell for archer instead. It could be possible that eva is the reincarnation of the fox. It was mentioned that eva was conceived in the north so it's not some kind of coincidence that her last name was fox too. She used to listen the archer story from her mother it's possible that her mother knew who eva was and wanted to make her know the story. If eva is the reincarnation of the fox and apollo is lysander and jacks is the archer then the love triangle seems to fit so nicely that the history is repeating itself and this time love will win and this time jacks will get his fox. His one true love is to be his this time.

As much as I love Scarlett (I’m an avid Tella hater im sorry), Evangeline is absolutely my favorite MC that Stephanie has written so far.

Here you have a deeply lonely character who hasn’t even turned 18 yet. All Evangeline wants is love — she gives so much of it (again and again) and it’s all she wants back. She forgives Marisol, befriends Luc again, and gives Jacks and the other Fates second and third and fourth chances. That’s why it hurts so badly when she gets so little of it. Everyone in the book uses her. Tiberius (to frame her for murder), Marisol, her Stepmother, Chaos, LaLa, and even Jacks. She stayed the entire night hugging (kind of) almost-vampire Jacks in the crypt just for him to abandon her when it was her under the venom 😭. In Jacks’s own words, she’s “the unluckiest person he’s ever met.” Our poor girl cannot catch a break: everyone in the books manipulate her for their own gain while she gets absolutely nothing in return, despite getting things done for the people around her. She found the stones, she unlocked the arch, and what did she get as a thank you? Dying in the arms of her almost-lover, before being turned away cruelly by said almost-lover. Jeez.

But that’s why it’s so inspiring seeing her get back up again and again. Evangeline would kill them with kindness if she wasn’t nice enough to try and save each and every one of them. She hugs and forgives LaLa after she placed a curse on her. She tries to talk Petra out of killing her (we all know how that went, yikes). She chooses Jacks again and again, because that’s what love is. It’s everything she stands for: fighting for the people you love and never abandoning them.

Idk, maybe it’s just me, but I really would love to see more of the characters appreciating her, this girl and her blind faith in everything that moves, who’s stubborn and fearless and determined to help others instead of herself. So excited for acftl <3

Apollo is the better love interest for evangeline. Jacks is literally a psychopath?

I hate the fact that Jacks left Eva alone (Chaos dosen’t count) while she was in vampire venom after she stayed all night with him when he was under vampire venom 😭 like what was he thinking??
