You can not tell me that, in a world where both shows exist in the same universe, Emma Nolan, Eva Sanchez, and Kate Dalton would not be best friends.
Can we take a sec and talk about the fact that literally nobody in WATT is even slightly okay?
Kate has severe abandonment and attachment issues, plus her best and only true friend dies and she’s the one who found the body. Oh yeah and SHE GOT STABBED AND ALMSOT DIED!
Reese accidentally killed an innocent person and then had to live with the guilt after lying about it, she kept that shit a secret for MONTHS.
Cairo’s best friend killed two people and she had no idea until months after it happened, plus she was unaware Riley was even struggling until after she confessed (and was also pining up a storm while all of this was happening)
Riley literally murdered two people in cold blood, enough said.
Farrah was an alcoholic and had little to no support system (“everyone hates me” “Farrah hated Farrah too”)
Chess had a drug addiction and had no faith that she could ever get better (“you don’t know who you are until you hate yourself”)
Annleigh lost her boyfriend and sister in the same night and for months was convinced Clark had been cheating on her with Farrah. She’s also like, way too into religion, just saying.
Mattie got framed for murder and sent to prison for a few months, that’s bound to mess you up, plus getting blackout drunk at the sleepover.
I think the only ones who are close to mentally stable is Clark and Eva, but I can’t really say that Clark is okay because he’s, ya know, dead.

Kate: prolonged eye contact (can and will stare at someone for multiple minutes without blinking if given the opportunity)
Eva: physical touch (just hugs people whenever she feels like it, with consent of course; always holding Kate in some way)
Chess: quality time (pay attention to her and make an effort to spend at least ten minutes of your day with her, it doesn’t matter what you’re doing, just be there)
Riley: words of affirmation (this girl needs people to tell her she’s doing well or she’ll think she’s doing everything wrong and then spiral into a mental breakdown)
Cairo: teasing/insults (nothing too mean, enough that you know she’s just messing around)
Mattie: quality time (she gets lonely easily, and she loves to talk, so just sit and listen for a while and let her ramble, then you’ve earned her trust forever)
Reese: gift giving (small trinkets, snacks, something hand-made that she put time, love, and effort into, just so you know she cares)
Clark: physical touch (loves kissing Annleigh, whether it’s her face, hand, (all the way up and down both her arms), hugs from behind are not just common but necessary)
Annleigh: words of affirmation (likes being reminded that she’s worth it, that she is capable, loves being praised for small accomplishments)
Farrah: insults (makes fun of things she likes, sometimes goes a bit too far to the point that people can’t tell if she’s joking or being seriously mean)

I saw it First
The little bell above the thrift shop door jingles as Eva enters, and she is greeted by the familiar, off-putting smell of multiple different scented candles wafting around the store.
The clerk at the desk nods to her, and Eva nods back as she begins browsing the racks of clothes. Several items catch her eye, but nothing really holds her interest. Upon reaching the end of the women’s clothing, Eva spots something.
Hanging at the end of a rack in the men’s section is a denim jacket, but not just any jacket, a wallflower denim jacket, with the signature jersey knit sleeves and hood attached. Eva makes for the jacket the moment she catches sight it, but the moment her hand touches it, someone else’s does too.
She freezes, and glances over. The hand touching the jacket is attached to a girl, a beautiful girl, with dark hair, a grey beanie, and a green flannel. Her eyes are brown and piercing, and Eva is struck dumb.
The girl’s eyes narrow, and the movement jolts Eva back into the present.
“I saw it first!”
She mentally facepalms, of all the ways to start a conversation, Eva went with one of the worst opening lines possible.
The stranger rolls her eyes and scoffs, “As if, I spotted this thing from halfway across the store, I definitely saw it first.”
They argue for a few minutes, growing more heated by the second, Eva’s subconscious telling her to just walk away all the while. She wants this jacket, but it’s not worth the fighting, especially when this (really pretty) girl wants it just as much.
Finally, Eva gives in.
“Okay, fine, just take it.”
The girl’s eyes widen, “Really? You’re just gonna let me have it?”
“I’m done arguing, besides, I’m feeling nice today,” She sighs.
“Wow, well thanks.”
The girl lifts the hanger from the rack, and Eva watches as she walks to the register, pays for her things, and leaves.
Eva ends up buying a new pair of jeans and a hat that she can paint later. As she makes her way back to her car, Eva notices something.
Tied to the handle of the driver’s side door, is a bag. Eva looks around, but the parking lot is empty of people. Opening the bag, Eva gasps.
Inside the bag is the denim jacket, and when Eva pulls it out, out falls a small slip of paper. She feels her lips stretch into a disbelieving smile as she reads the note scribbled onto it.

Wow everybody wants Kate headcanons today, well ask and ye shall receive! Kateva headcanons for my beloved lesbians!!
Eva plays the guitar, and she sometimes writes small songs or comes up with wordless tunes just for Kate
They both like to play with each other’s hair, whether it’s simply Eva winding a couple strands around her finger or Kate running her fingers through it while Eva has her head in her lap
Corny jokes that turn into challenges of who can come up with the worst pick up lines imaginable
Constant physical affection (holding hands, hugging, kisses on the cheek, forehead, nose, hand, lips)
Movie marathons (usually horror movies or sci-fi) on weekends that always end with cuddling and falling asleep on the couch
Even though Eva is taller (a fact she loves to hold over Kate’s head (pun intended)) Kate loves giving her piggy back rides and will occasionally surprise attack Eva and just scoop her up into a bridal carry (Eva loves her tiny strong girlfriend)

Eva has three younger siblings, two sisters and a brother
Eva’s s basically another mom to her siblings since their real mom is always working to support them
Her brother called her “mama” and Eva didn’t talk for a whole week
She forced their mom to actually be a mom after that day
Eva loves science, we know that, but she also got into English literature after meeting Kate
She started reading a bunch of classic books so she and Kate could talk about it

Eva’s dad was in the military
He suffered from PTSD and ended up turning to drugs because of it
He died of an accidental drug overdose
Eva is very active in helping people who struggle with addiction because she doesn’t want to see others end up like her dad
