Roman approached the meadow, a bouquet of roses in his hold along with a single cupcake decorated in purple in one hand. “Happy Valentine’s day Love. I came back as promised. I’m sorry I’m late, the bakery was packed today.”

It’s okay Roman, I’m so glad to see you again. It feels like it’s been forever.

“It was only the other day when I last saw you, but I missed you so much.”

I missed you too Roman. How are Logan and Patton doing? They don’t come by anymore.

“Logan and Patton are alright. They adopted a son you know, his name is Emile and he is a little sweetheart. I think you two would get along well, he is so friendly, just like Patton. And he has a brain that could rival Logan’s, even if Logan refuses to admit it.” Roman leaned against the grey stone sticking up, brushing his hand over the words that were inscribed onto it. Roman sniffled, leaning against the stone. “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry I wasn’t home that day. I know I say it a lot and you’re probably sick of hearing it, but I’m so sorry. If only I stayed home with you that day, I should of listened when you said you had a bad feeling. I’m so sorry,” he choked out, tears filling his eyes and running down his cheeks.

Roman please, it isn’t your fault. I don’t blame you for any of it.

“It’s all my fault, no matter what you’re saying right now. I just.....fuck, I promised myself I wouldn’t cry,” he mumbled, looking down. “Fuck I just....I just want to see you again. To come home to see you in the kitchen, baking your famous lasagna again. I......wish I could of changed everything. I just fucking wish.....why? Why does the world hate me?” Roman sniffled, curling up against the tombstone.

I wish I could be there too....I wish I could still be by your side. I love you so much Roman, so much. Don’t worry, I’ll be here, only for you. I’ll be waiting for you, my sweet prince.
