It all started with Dustin's one wish for his 16th birthday being that you all went to watch the third nightmare on Elm Street, albeit a month early, but he made you all come over the night before and stay up late so that you could watch the first and second before you went and saw the third.
This is what led yall to the predicament you now find yourselves in. You see, while everyone else was on time, Steve and Robin got stuck late at the video store, and it's not like you could just started the movie without them seeing how they were renting and bringing the movies with them.
You didn't mind all that much, as it gave you plenty of time with Eddie snuggled up to him on the couch.
When you all woke up 15 minutes before the movie was supposed to start, is when you started to mind seeing as you had all slept in due to starting the movies two hours late and Dustin yelling anytime he saw someone nodding off.
You had all gotten ready and loaded up the cars as fast as you possibly could, just barely making it there 5 minutes late, which wouldn't have been a big deal had it not been for the power-hungry teenage Jackass behind the counter telling you, "You should have been here on time if you really wanted to see the movie."
"Come on, man, we're barely even late; it's the kid's birthday, and we have money; let us in," Steve told him, rolling his eyes and waving the cash in front of the boy's face.
"Like I said if," the boy started before Eddie cut him off, "If you want to see the movie, you should've been here on time. Yeah, yeah, we know, but come on, we're not asking for your liver; we just want to see the damn movie!" He finished getting angrier with every passing second, and the angrier he got, the more eccentric he became, Arms flailing around.
"Let me handle this," you said, placing a soothing hand on his arm and gently pushing him to the side.
"Come on, please let us in. I promise we won't disturb anyone. We won't even get snacks." You pleaded with him, batting your eyelashes, resting your arms on the counter, pushing your boobs together just in case he was still on the fence. Obviously, it was working. His eyes were glued to your cheats. That was until he shook his head, looking at Eddie.
"No way, I have plenty of girls come here with their boyfriends trying to get in for free by wearing a low-cut top, but I hate to break it to you; it's not the 1930s anymore; we've all seen cleavage before," the boy told you, standing his ground. You smirked at his sentiment as he was obviously bluffing, his cheeks bright red, and his breathing now shallow from just a small glance at your boobs.
This gave you an idea that normally you would never go through with, but Dustin had asked for one thing for his birthday, and you'd be damned if this kid didn't get that wish.
So you turned to the group, looking at all of them individually quickly before asking them, "You guys ready to run?" They all looked confused but nodded anyway.
Eddie, however, knew exactly what was running through your mind, smirking at you, ready to push the kids inside as soon as your plan was set into motion. You nodded briefly before turning back around to the boy behind the counter, who was arguably the most confused. You just smiled at him one last time before grabbing the front of your shirt, your boobs on full display. Eddie and Steve took the opportunity to push the kids inside the theater before any of them could get a good look as Robin followed after them laughing.
As soon as they made it inside, you pulled your shirt back down. "Bye!" you exclaimed, waving as you walked towards the door.
"Worth it!" you heard the boy shout as you walked inside, chuckling at how easy it was to get 10 people into the movies for free.
The kids ignored your earlier sentiment, having decided to use all the money that was originally for getting into the movie on snacks.
"That was so badass!" Robin yelled, pumping her first in the air. Steve and all the kids nodded along with her. This made you laugh more.
You caught sight of Eddie leaning against the wall in the little seating area, and a bag of popcorn, gummies and two drinks were sitting on the bench beside him.
You walked over to him, his hands finding your hips as you moved closer, yours reaching up to gently grab his cheeks. "You're not mad, are you?" you questioned, jutting your bottom lip out. "Are you kidding me?" he asked, moving forward to bite your bottom lip gently. "Like Robin said, that was so badass," he whispered against your lips before capturing them in a kiss—the kind of kiss that's just rough and filled with desire—the kind of kiss that makes you weak in the knees. Feeling your imbalance only made Eddie pull you closer to his body, deepening the kiss.
Your moment of bliss was ruined by the kids making gagging noises as they walked past you into the theater. "Come on, the movies are starting!" Dustin told you
You both laughed as you grabbed your snacks and walked into the theater with your friends.
It touched me!

It was Labor Weekend, and you and the gang had decided to spend the day at Lover's Lake, much to Eddie's chagrin.
Â
"I don’t know if you guys know this, but I’m not really made to go to the lake," Eddie whined as you guys were unloading his van and Steve’s car of your supplies. "It’s hot and the water is icky!” He exclaimed
Â
"If you’re hot, just take your shirt off," Dustin told the boy, shrugging.
Â
"Are you messing with me, Henderson? Eddie questioned, pausing to motion to his body, "Have you seen me? My skin is not equipped to handle the sun. I look like a ghost and a vampire had a baby."
Â
"Sunscreen dumbass," Steve said, rolling his eyes.
Â
“Yeah, I put sunscreen on you before we left. I can reapply some if you want," you told him, rubbing his back soothingly and trying to calm him down.
Â
"That’s very sweet, baby, and I appreciate it so much, but we could always just pack up and go home. I’ll let you rub whatever you want on me as soon as we’re back safe inside." Eddie pleaded with you as you laughed at his antics.
Â
“Ew, shut up, Munson," Robin told him, filling his arms with stuff to carry to your spot. He grumbled, still complaining to himself as he walked away.
Â
"Any chance he actually shuts up?” Robin asked you, shaking her head as you two grabbed the last of your stuff.
Â
"Eddie? Never," you answered the girl laughing as you walked to the spot the kids had picked out, all already in the water splashing around. Dustin and Steve were the closest to the shoreline, trying to talk a stubborn Eddie into getting in the water.
Â
“Nuh uh nope no way," your boyfriend said, shaking his head, arms crossed over his chest. "That water is icky, and there’s like a ton of fish in there, and where there’s fish, there’s fish pee, not to mention the dead bodies that could be in there, and do you guys remember when we found that creepy ass gate at the bottom that led into the upside-down? Eddie finished flailing his arms around as he shouted.
Â
“Look, dude, if we stopped going to every place we saw something related to the upside down, we’d literally never go anywhere in Hawkins ever," Steve said, laughing at the boy.
Â
"Eddie I promise you everything is okay. Just come in, please." Dustin begged
Â
“Eddie, you don’t have to if you don’t want to, but I’m going, and I’m sure if you do, you’ll have fun," you told him, coming up to stand beside him as Robin ran past you both jumping and tackling Steve into the water.
Â
"My hair!!!" The boy shouted as he popped his head back up from under the water to find Robin and Dustin laughing hysterically. "You’re both dead!" he shouted, running after his friends.
Â
“See, it’s fun," you told him, moving in front of him, arms wrapping around his neck. His hands rested on your waist as you leaned in to kiss him gently.
Â
“Ugh, this is so not fair; you know how hard it is to say no to you," he said as you pulled away, "especially when you’re in that skimpy little bathing suit."
Â
"Tell you what you get in the water and have fun with us, and I promise I’ll make it worth your while later." You raised your eyebrows and smirked at him.
Â
Clearly, your proposition worked, as the boy's face lit up like a Christmas tree: "Come on, baby, what are you doing? Let's get in this filthy cesspool!” He told you to run into the lake, slapping your ass as he passed you.
Â
You just laughed, joining him and your friends in the water.
Â
Eddie had only been in the water for maybe twenty minutes, clinging to you like a monkey for most of it as he got freaked out anytime a fish swam past him or grazed his leg. He had just let go of you when another fish swam by.
Â
"It touched me, it touched me, ew ew ew ew!” Eddie shouted panicking as he wrapped his arms and legs around you. Once more, his eyes squeezed shut as he clung to you tightly.
Â
“Eddie, sweetheart, it’s just a fish," you told him, gently squeezing his hand to offer him any assurance you could.
Â
“Yeah, Munson, calm down." Steve laughed as you glared at him. "Shut it, Harrington," you told him sternly. He just put his hands up, backing away to join the kids.
Â
"Do you want to get out? You asked him
Â
“No, I mean yes, but I don’t want to make you get out," he whispered, eyes still shut tightly, head resting on your shoulder from behind.
Â
"Don’t worry about it, I’ve gotta make lunch. Come on, you can help me," you told him. He just nodded, letting you go as he started out of the water towards the stuff. You followed after him, stopping when you got to the shore. You turned around, asking everyone if they were hungry. They all nodded.
Â
You and Eddie made everyone sandwiches. You had spent so much time with these guys that you knew exactly how they liked them.
Â
Eddie was quiet as you made them, which was unlike him, but you just chalked it up to him still being uncomfortable about being In the water, after you finished, you called everyone up to eat.
Â
"What’s on the menu?” Robin asked, popping her head beside Eddie's.
Â
"What Buckley, it’s obviously sandw-“ Eddie started, but was cut off when Steve popped his head on the other side of Eddie.
Â
"Let’s hope it’s not fish. Munson might have a heart attack," Steve said. All the gang started laughing as Eddie rolled his eyes.
Â
"Ha ha, very funny," he said sarcastically, pushing the pair away from him.
Â
"Leave him alone," you scolded. They pouted, taking a seat and eating the lunch you had made them.
Â
After y’all finished eating, you and Eddie cleaned up while your friends went and played in the water. After you finished, you took a seat next to the boy on the picnic table.
Â
"You should go out there with them and have fun," Eddie told you, nodding towards the water and your friends.
Â
"Are you sure I really don’t mind sitting up here with you?" you said.
Â
“Yes, go, I’ll be fine," he answered.
Â
“Okay, I’ll come to check on you in thirty minutes, thank you," you said, jumping up and kissing him on the cheek before running towards the water.
Â
Â
It wasn’t like he wanted to be like this; he wanted nothing more than to go out there and have fun with his friends, but every time something touched his foot, his heart would stop for a second, and he swears he was about to feel the sting of one of those bats ripping into his flesh or one of those creepy vines pulling him into that hole back to the upside-down, take his friends, take his life, or worse, take Y/N. It was crazy. He knew that they had stopped Vecna and El had closed the gate, but he couldn’t stop worrying about the what ifs.
Â
He watched them out there laughing and having fun. He wanted to be a part of that so bad, but after everything that had happened at that lake, he hadn’t been doing this as long as you guys. It affected him. Damnit, it did. Every time he even looked at the lake, he had a mini anxiety attack, but being in it freaked him out.
Â
He hadn’t realized how zoned out he was until he heard the sound of your laugh. It was an angelic sound. One of Eddie’s favorite things about you was your laugh. It made him smile until he looked up and saw the reason you were laughing. you Dustin Steve and Robin were playing a game of chicken. Robin on Dustin’s shoulders and you on Steve's, his hands wrapped around your thighs. He watched as you pushed Robin off the boys' shoulders. You and Steve cheered, sharing a victory hug after he let you off his shoulder.
Â
And while Eddie knew that nothing would ever happen between you and Steve, he couldn’t help the jealousy that sunk into him. He should be the one out there; you were his girlfriend, for fucks sake!
Â
So he made a decision he was going to suck it up and he was going to go out there and have fun with his girlfriend and he really thought he meant it but when his foot hit the water he swore he saw one of those bat swimming right at him and the water was so damn cold and he could feel his heart pounding and his breath quickening and he didn’t need to warn you guys because it wasn’t real it wasn’t fucking real and he knew that but it was still absolutely terrifying and he couldn’t do it no matter how much he wanted to, he just couldn’t do it.
Â
He could feel the tears falling down his cheeks, and he walked away all the way to his van, where he collapsed against the back of it, pulling his knees to his chest just like he had when he was young. Every time this would happen, every time his dad would come back and then eventually leave again, every time Jason and his friends would corner him, he’d come home covered in bruises and just break down.
Â
His thoughts were still running wild when he felt a gentle hand on his back. He didn’t have to look at who it was; he knew it was you. There was no doubt in his mind. He threw himself into your arms, hugging you tightly. You instantly hugged, running one hand up his back and the other through his hair. You had done this for each other many times. You had seen each other at your worst.
Â
You hugged him tightly, whispering comforting words in his ear. You had seen him on the shoreline. You had even called to him when you saw the tears falling down his cheeks, but he just walked away. You quickly followed after him, finding him having a breakdown.
Â
"Eddie?" You said softly as you felt his breaths slow. You could feel his body relax when you spoke, so you continued, "Do you want to talk about it?"
Â
Eddie pulled away from you. Sitting back up, you kept your hand on his back for comfort as he told you what was wrong.
Â
Needless to say, you felt like an ass; you had practically made him get in the water and just left him on the shore.
Â
"Eddie I’m so sorry, baby. I had no idea you were feeling like this. I should have been there. I’m so sorry.”
Â
“No, baby, it’s not your fault. I wanted you to have fun. I’m sorry I ruined your day." Eddie cut you off, avoiding your gaze.
Â
“Eddie, you did not ruin my day; you never ruin my day. I love you more than anything, and I promise you that if I knew, I would’ve stayed home with you," you said to him as you grabbed his face with both hands, moving his gaze to your eyes.
Â
"I don’t want you to do that, honey. I want to have fun with you. It’s just that every time I try, I feel like I’m about to die," he said, chuckling at how ridiculous he thought he sounded.
Â
“Yeah, well, believe it or not, I don’t want you dead, so if that means I don’t get to swim in a lake, I’m more than okay with that," you said, smiling at him and kissing him gently. "Now come on, we can play cards; I have some in my bag." You offered him a hand as you stood up.
Â
“Okay, but can we also talk about that whole you love me thing?” Eddie asked, "Because you’ve never said that before. I mean, I get why you’d love me. I mean, great, but what I mean is, do you?” Eddie finished
Â
"Shut up, Munson," you said, rolling your eyes and walking away, smiling brightly as your cheeks burned.
Â
"Do you?!" He shouted, throwing his arms up as you continued waking, "I’ll just take that as a yes," pausing again to wait for an answer, "I love you too!” He finished when you didn’t reply, running after you.
Â
You stopped in your tracks, turning to him. "Really?" You asked, unable to keep the smile off your face.
Â
“Yeah, of course, more than anything," he answered, pulling you in for a kiss. You happily kissed back, both of you grinning like idiots as you pulled away, looking into each other's eyes.
Â
"I love you," you said at the same time, laughing when you realized this sharing one last kiss before heading back to the picnic table and your friends

A/N: Had this idea a while ago finally decided to write it down.

Dustin wanted something; you knew it. He’d been doing your chores, letting you use the bathroom to get ready in the mornings without complaining, letting you take the first shower, folding your laundry, which he knew you hated doing.
You hadn’t said anything, not one to look at a gift horse in the mouth. However, it finally came to a head when Dustin came into your room with this morning tray in hand (the one your mom always used to bring you breakfast in bed on your birthdays or when you were sick). a bowl of honey nut Cheerios, a glass of orange juice, and a bowl of mixed fruit sit on top of it.
“I made you breakfast,” he said as he walked to you.
You gave him a strange look as he sat it on your nightstand. It was the weekend, so you had just been lounging around reading your new book since you woke up. “Why?” You finally asked, sitting up against your headboard, taking the food and starting to eat, still looking at him quizzically.
“What can’t a little brother just do something nice for his older sister, whom he loves so much?” Dustin defended unconvincingly.
"Yeah, they can, but you don’t,” you said, rolling your eyes. “Come on out with it, shitbird, you wait much longer. I’ll have finished my food, and you’ll have to wait till you can make a whole other meal,” you joked, popping a grape into your mouth.
"Alright, fine,” Dustin sighed, sitting on the edge of your bed. “I do want something, and I want you to really think about it before you say no.” He trailed off, avoiding your gaze.
“Okay?” You egged, kicking his shoulder lightly, ready for him to get on with it.
"Well, you know how summer break starts next week, and I’ve outgrown science camp, and there’s no way mom would let me fly. You know how much planes scare her, and Susie’s parents wouldn’t let her either, but Mom would probably let me if you went to and drove me." Dustin paused, seeing the confusion on your face. “Would you take me on a road trip to Utah to visit Susie over the summer? Well, not the whole summer, but while it’s happening." Dustin finished rambling, looking at you hopefully with his best puppy dog eyes.
"Ugh,” you groaned. "Really, Utah, come on, it’s like the asscrack of America.”
“No, I’m pretty sure that’s Florida.”
“I don’t even have a car; how are we going to get there?” You asked, both loving and hating, the way your little brother's eyes lit up.
“Don’t even worry about that; I’ve got it covered. Is that a yes?” He asked far too excited at 8:30 in the morning.
“It’s a yes if you can find us a car and somehow convince Mom to let us go,” you told him, condescendingly.
“Yes! Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you; you're the best sister ever!” Dustin exclaimed, hugging you tightly.
"Yeah, yeah,” you mumbled, rolling your eyes as you tussled his hair. “I know, and don’t you forget it.”
***
That’s how Dustin found himself here, cleaning up after hellfire, about to ask Eddie if he’d be willing to drop his summer plans to drive him and his sister to Utah so he could see his girlfriend.
By some miracle, Dustin had convinced his overprotective mother to let him go, and Eddie was the last piece of the puzzle. Well, at least his van was deciding that even if it wasn’t the most reliable, it was the most spacious, meaning you’d have to spend less money on motels along the way, and you could fit more people, Lucas and Steve, on the top of his list to invite once he got the older boy to agree to this somewhat questionable plan.
“You’re oddly quiet, Henderson. What’s going on in the ginormous head of yours?” Eddie asked teasingly as he packed up his dice and began sliding his books into the book bag he’d had since his freshman year.
“What are your plans for the summer?” Dustin blurted it out, unable to keep it in any longer.
"Umm, I don’t know. Maybe plan a new campaign. I'm going to try to deal at some of the parties and make some extra cash. You know, I really enjoyed my last summer before I’m hurdled into a life of adulthood,” Eddie said, shrugging and throwing his bag over his shoulder. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m ecstatic about finally graduating, but now I have to actually grow up. It's a bummer." Eddie sighed jokingly, getting ready to lock up. They had one more hellfire meeting before school was over; it was all oddly emotional for him.
“Well, how fun does a road trip to Utah with your favorite little buddy sound for summer plans?” Dustin propositioned himself, smiling hopefully at him.
“Like actual hell,” the older boy deadpanned, walking out of the old drama room.
"Oh, come on, please, it’ll be fun, I promise, and me and Y/N really need your van,” Dustin pleaded, following after him.
“Y/N will be there?” Eddie asked, stopping in his tracks and smiling brightly when Dustin nodded. "Well, why didn’t you say so sooner? Utah sounds great!” Eddie exclaimed.
"Really, you only want to go for my sister?” Dustin asked with mock sadness in his voice.
“No Dustin I only want to go for your hot sister,” Eddie paused, laughing at the way Dustin’s nose wrinkled in disgust at his words. "Besides, you only want me to go for my van,” Eddie pointed out as they began walking to the parking lot.
“Fair enough,” Dustin shrugged, walking beside him.
“So where’s Utah, like Canada or something?”
“Oh my god,” Dustin mumbled, shaking his head, already regretting asking him to come.
***
After a week of anticipation a graduation ceremony where you, Robin, Eddie, and Nancy walked the stage and a lot of time spent making Eddie look at a map, it was finally time for your trip to begin. Dustin had been practically bouncing off the walls all morning, and he was excited to spend what you had calculated to be almost 23 hours in a car, not including stops.
Somehow, you ended up with six people coming on your little road trip: Eddie, Dustin, Steve, Robin, and Lucas.
Lucky for you, the Wheelers already had plans to visit the Byers, so you didn’t have to shove two more in there, and Max was going to summer camp.
You could practically hear when Eddie pulled into your street loud vehicle blasting music and erratic driving, doing nothing to keep him stealthy.
“Are you sure you guys really want to go?” Your mother asked you for the hundredth time. “Maybe you should stay.”
Dustin threw his head back, dramatically letting out a groan. “Come on, Mom, we talked about this. We’re going to be fine. You’ve got to give Dusty Buns a little freedom, plus I’ll be with him the whole time.” You paused walking over to Dustin, who was giving your mom puppy dog eyes, pinching his chin in between your fingers. “Besides, who could say no to this face?” you coed, knowing that as overprotective as she was, she had a hard time telling him no.
"Okay, okay, just be careful and call me,” she conceited, pulling you both in for a hug that you gladly returned as Eddie stopped his van. “I love you both; be careful,” your mom said, finally heading inside after one more hug for the both of you.
"Alright, come on guys, we’ve still got two more stops,” Eddie yelled from the van.
“Come on, DustyBuns, your damsel awaits,” you said, ruffling his hair and walking to the van.
***
After a few hiccups, I.E. Steve packing everything he owned you were finally on your way out of Hawkins Eddie driving you sitting shotgun with Dustin Steve Robin and Lucas in the back.
“I can’t believe this was the best way to spend my summer,” Robin groaned.
"Oh, come on, you guys, stop acting like we’re not going to have a blast,” Dustin said. "Besides, we’re already out of Hawkins, so you’re stuck,” he told you guys, mockingly pointing at the leaving Hawkins/Hell sign.
“Oh yeah, I guess we are,” Eddie said, distractedly casually flipping the bird to the sign as you passed it. “I guess you can probably come out now, red,” Eddie said, making everyone look at him in confusion.
“Finally!” You heard making all of you jump and shriek as you saw a figure jump out of the pile of blankets sitting in the corner of the van.
“Maxine Mayfield, what the fuck are you doing here?!” Steve yelled, clutching a hand to his chest.
"Yeah, she’s supposed to be at summer camp,” you scolded, seeing the smirk grow on Eddie’s face.
"Oh, come on, sweetheart, I couldn’t let one of my sheepies rot while we had all the fun,” he said, wiping the smirk off his face to pout at you comically.
"Yeah, Eddie was just helping me,” Max said, working her way to the front of the van and joining Eddie in looking at you pitifully. “Please don’t tell my mom I want to spend the summer with you guys.”
"Yeah, come on, doll, can we keep her?” Eddie asked hopefully.
"Yeah, let her stay,” Dustin and Lucas said, joining the side of Eddie and Max.
"Yeah, come on, we could use another girl." Robin joined in, leaving only you and Steve.
“Aww, what the hell, yeah, let’s let her stay,” and now you’ve lost Steve too.
“Please?” Max said one last time you looked at the whole van teaming up on you, eyes wide and sad as they waited for your answer.
And you almost held your ground until you looked at Eddie, his big brown eyes peering into your soul. His bottom lip jutted out.
"Fine,” you sighed, making the whole van erupt in cheers.
“Thank you, thank you,” Max said, hugging you.
“You’re really the best!” Dustin Lucas Robin and Steve all cheered one after the other as they went to talk amongst themselves, happy to have added a member to the group.
“Thank you, you’re my hero, princess." Eddie’s words caught your attention, finding his eyes already on you and smiling brightly.
"Oh, shut up,” you laughed, rolling your eyes as your face flushed at the nickname “And look at the road before you kill us all.” You finished pushing his chin to make him look at the road as you both laughed.
“Alright, road trip, baby, let’s go!” Eddie yelled, making the van erupt in cheers once more. You joined them this time, happy to be spending the summer with people you cared about.
