Eddie My Beloved - Tumblr Posts
Yours From Head To Toe | Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader.

a/n: I'm a bit sick and haven't been able to write, which is terrible, because I've been really inspired lately. Anyway, I made this shot for my best friend a few days ago and I liked it quite a bit, so here it is đ.
Warnings: Mentions of Blood, Vampire! Eddie, Hunter! Reader, a bit seductive [I think lol], Fluff.
Words: 1.2 k

Eddie opened his eyes with difficulty, feeling a stabbing pain on the right side of his head. He moaned softly as he tried to get up from the cold floor, he couldn't remember where he was or how he had gotten there, he could barely make out the place.
All around him was ashes; trees were burned, lying on the ground and covering some debris. As he tried to stand up, his hand collided with a silver object. He opened his eyes, startled. It was your necklace.
"Shit" He whispered, grabbing it quickly from the ashes "shit, shit".
He wanted to look around for it, but there was no sign of life. Tears began to cover his sight as he squeezed the mark on his forearm tightly. He looked everywhere for you, but there was no sign of you or any other corpse.
Wearily, he lay on the ground, watching the sky grow darker by the minute. He felt a mixture of emotions; on the one hand, he was happy not to have found your lifeless body, but on the other hand, he had no idea where you were, he didn't know if you were still alive, he knew absolutely nothing.
"God" he covered his eyes from the sun, looking towards the forest "what do I do now?"
He took a breath and tried to concentrate on keeping his sanity. He didn't know how long he was like this, but, for what seemed like hours, he could do nothing but think over and over again about how this could be the end of his happiness, the end of his relationship with you.
When he opened his eyes again the sky was already covered by a blanket of stars that reminded him of the night he first met you. He felt so pathetic.
"Idiot" he growled, sitting down on the ground and staring at the dirt road, and that's when it hit him. There were tire tracks, and not just any tire tracks, but the ones from the car he shared with Steve.
A huge smile took over his face at that very moment. He took advantage of his superior physical condition to follow the tracks and, in less than ten minutes, he was in front of a simple two-story cabin.
He closed his eyes and inhaled the air around him. You were here, he could feel it. He looked at the windows, following his sense of smell to the one furthest to the right. He climbed up to the roof as fast as he could, walking carefully to the window where he was almost certain you were.
When he peered out he could make out a lump under the violet sheets. The flame of the fire lamp glowed fleetingly. He grabbed the bottom of the window and opened it without measuring his strength. You rose quickly from your bed and pointed your pistol at him.
"Honey" smiled at the sight of you. Not even a day had passed and already he missed you as if centuries had passed "it's you".
"E-Eddie?" your hands lowered the gun, tossing it to the floor as you approached him "it's you? Is it really you?"
"God, I thought I couldn't see..." before he could finish speaking, you grabbed his shirt and pulled him close to you, kissing him desperately.
Eddie closed his eyes as soon as he reacted, following your rhythm. He lowered his hand to your waist and kept the other on the back of your head, stroking your hair.
"I thought I'd lost you" you murmured in the middle of the kiss, still not breaking away from his lips.
This time the one who started the kiss was Eddie. He cupped both your cheeks, kissing you deeply, trying to make you see that he was there, trying to make you understand that he was by your side again. Carefully, he laid you down on the bed, never leaving in contact with your skin.
"I thought the same thing" he said in the huskiest voice, breathing shakily.
Eddie fixed his gaze on your bare neck, on the smooth, tanned skin that was so characteristic of you. He licked his lips unconsciously.
"Honey, I..."
"Do it, please" you murmured, bringing your hands to his shoulders, pulling him close until his lips brushed against your neck and his nose against your ear.
He moaned softly. Your scent was so much stronger at this distance, too irresistible.
"It might hurt" he murmured, lightly licking the area between your shoulder and neck, smiling as he felt you tremble slightly as you let out a sigh.
"I don't care, I just want to feel like you're real" you whispered, tugging on his hair lightly.
Eddie swallowed saliva, bringing his fangs out into the light and grazing your skin with them. You had talked about this before, the idea of transforming you and both of you being out of danger was too tempting to pass up.
"If it hurts tell me, I'll stop right away" he just smiled against your skin as he felt you shake your head in approval.
He kissed the exact spot where he felt your blood travel through your veins. From there he could feel your heart pounding.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of you" he whispered before piercing your skin with his sharp fangs.
Your grip on his hair tightened, a moan of pain made him question if he was doing the right thing, but there was no turning back now.
He began to drink your blood, lightly squeezing your hips. It was too sweet. He enjoyed every last drop he could afford, licking his bottom lip as he pulled away from you.
From above you looked like a mess, he could understand why you loved being in this position. His hand went straight to your neck, touching the mark of his fangs.
"Hey" he took your hand, moving closer to your face and bringing your foreheads together "I got you."
He couldn't help but let out a laugh as you looked at his lips.
"What's up cutie? Want to taste what your blood tastes like?" he smiled as he watched you nod. He wasn't planning on denying you one of a vampire's greatest pleasures.
He caressed your cheek, kissing it carefully so as not to cause you pain. The taste of your blood grew stronger now that you were kissing, and you seemed to notice. You placed a hand on his neck, pulling him even closer to you.
Your fangs, which you had learned to pull out sooner than he thought, pierced his lower lip, causing you both to let out a gasp.
"So this is what it feels like to taste my blood" you murmured, licking his lower lip "I'd like to taste more."
"Take as much as you want" he brought your hand towards his chest, trying to look as serious as possible "Even if my heart doesn't beat like a human's, even if my body can't give you warmth, you can take as much as you want from me."
Eddie squeezed your hand lightly, nervous. Your greenish eyes were too deep, too mesmerizing.
"I'm yours from head to toe, Y/N."

Eddie Munson, Day Two: Condom.
Just like day one, this shot is from an AU I did with my friend, so, again, a little context: Thanks to a series of events, you, an honored scientist, achieved one of the greatest achievements in history, creating a time machine, a machine you used to travel to one of the best-selling eras on television: the western voyage. There you met three people who would change your life: Steve Harrington, one of the richest men in town; Allyson Miller, the sheriff's daughter; and, most importantly, Eddie Munson, a bandit wanted for the murder of Chrissy Cunningham, the mayor's daughter.

Your hands went down to Eddie's belt, unbuckling it awkwardly. You yanked it tightly, startling Eddie. Without taking your eyes off his, threw the belt away from both of you, tangling your fingers in the edges of his shirt and tugging it off over his head.
"Shit, wait, I wasn't ready for this" Eddie muttered, stumbling over his words. His cheeks and neck were slightly flushed, his pale skin had purple and red blotches that indicated he hadn't been alone tonight, let alone arrested.
"What are you talking about?" You asked, frowning in confusion. It had all been perfectly clear to you. You wanted to sleep with Eddie and vice versa, you both loved each other and wanted to give each other a chance, so why not be ready?
For a moment, you thought it might be the fact that Eddie didn't have condoms, but then you remembered where you were. In this decade there wasn't even consent, much less a decent method of protection. You sighed as you remembered that before all this craziness you had gotten his birth control shot.
"Don't worry, everything is going to be all right, okay? I'll take care of you every moment" you caressed his cheek lovingly, smiling sweetly. Sometimes Eddie couldn't understand how you could be so changeable. He loves you. "I promise we won't get out of here as parents."

Eddie Munson, Day Three: Breeding.
Warnings: MDNI, Farmer!Reader, Rich!Eddie [yes, rich], a little smutty.

"You better not make a sound, Eddie" you murmured between gasps, burying your fingernails in Eddie's pale, smooth skin. You smiled as you heard him moan at that.
"I-I'm trying, but you're not letting me have it easy, Y/N" Eddie said between sighs, letting his head fall back, his eyes closing tightly in ecstasy. He couldn't help but press his fingertips into your pelvis. He hoped it didn't leave any visible marks.
"I don't think your father would like to see us together" you joked, starting to jump faster and harder. If it weren't for the mention of his bastard of a father, Eddie would probably be a lot more excited right now.
"Don't talk about him when you're on me, it's weird" he muttered, grabbing one of your breasts and licking the pink button in the middle of it. He chuckled as he heard you let out a squeal.
"Shit" you gasped, leaning your forehead against Eddie's shoulder. You felt the knot in your stomach get even tighter, urging you to cum, "I-I don't think I can... go on much longer."
Eddie nodded, ready to take you and lift you off his lap, they weren't using protection, it would be too dangerous to cum inside you. He caressed your hips, ready to lay you on your side and help you reach his limit with his fingers.
"Don't even think about it" you grunted as you felt Eddie's hands try to pull you up, "I'm on birth control pills, so you can do it inside."
Eddie could only swallow saliva. He'd never done it with anyone, and, although the idea scared him a little, the feel of his semen meeting your juices made him squirm inside like he'd never done before. As Steve said, one time couldn't hurt, the chances of you getting pregnant were too slim to be true.
"Okay" Eddie whispered, a slight dark layer covered by his excitement covered his beautiful brown eyes. You had never felt so intimidated by Eddie's gaze, but the feeling didn't displease you at all.
Eddie leaned you back against the mattress, his thumbs gently brushing your waist, contrasting with the jerky movements of his pelvis against yours. Sooner rather than later, the gasps began to become moans, the movements, messy, and the knot in both your stomachs was too tight.
You were the first to cum. Your walls squeezed Eddie so hard that he had to stop his movements for a second in surprise. Eddie followed you almost instantly, coating your insides with his seed.
"I-I'll get a towel" sighed Eddie, brushing the curly hair off his forehead. He moved to tue lips, leaving a soft, affectionate kiss on them, "wait for me here, I'll be right back."

Hi, I wanted to ask you please for a one-shot of Eddie, I was thinking about something Fluff, maybe bestfriends to lovers, thank you very much, I love how you write đđ
Starlight Rendezvous | Eddie Munson x Fem! Reader.

a/n: Sorry it took me so long to do it đ„Č in my defense, tumblr hates me so much that it deleted everything I had been doing and I had to do it again :(. Thank you so much for ordering, hope you like it <3 and thanks for the compliment đ„ș.
Falling in love with your best friend isn't easy, telling him, much less so. Eddie had a crush on Y/N for years, and Vecna's arrival in Hawkins only increased his need to tell her the truth. Now, some time after he recovery, Eddie is determined to propose, no matter what the response.
Warnings: Fluff, bestfriend! Eddie, Fear of darkness.
Words: 1,547

Autumn had arrived in Hawkins. The cool early morning breeze was blowing the dry leaves all over town. In some houses you could see how families would gather them all into a small pile that, once secure enough, would be unraveled by a mischievous child in the mood for fun.
Eddie was not a big fan of this season, he was bothered by the rustling of the leaves and how spooky some trees could look when they were bare. As a child he would cry at the sight of the hideous shadows reflected in his curtain or on the ground.
Despite that, it wasn't all so bad. He had already managed to overcome that childhood fear, even used it to his advantage, using those imaginary monsters made of shadows to create enemies and use them in DnD as backstories.
Sometimes, when he was alone and silent, he wondered what would have happened if he hadn't met you.
You were one of the main reasons his fear was able to disappear. He met you when he came to Hawkins with his Uncle Wayne. You were taller than him, just a little, had freckles all over your face, and beautiful green eyes. You approached him when a much smaller girl insisted that you should talk to more people. It didn't take long for both of you to become friends as soon as you realized all the things you had in common.
As the years went by your friendship grew and grew, until it formed into a relationship of pure trust, a 'if they do something to you, they mess with me', but even more importantly, it became a relationship of bilateral love, a love that you both preferred to leave it a secret for fear of ruining everything, something you decided to hide behind the shadows and just joke about.
Or at least that's what you thought before Vecna showed up. You were about to lose your best friend, the person who was always there for you, the one who could be the love of your life, and all why? Because of the fear of giving up whatever it were you had.
For Eddie's part, all he could think about was how sensitive humans are. Despite what many believe, they don't live long. They can die easily, at any moment, without warning, what guaranteed him that he would have a third chance to save himself? He couldn't bear to leave this world without telling you everything he felt from the bottom of his heart.
And that brings you to this moment. Both standing facing each other, the autumn breeze fluttering through the air, messing up your hair and making it look even more unreal than it already did to Eddie. Both were breathing heavily, both came running towards each other, each holding a small torn piece of paper with a simple phrase written in the center.
'I need you.
-Y/N'
Eddie's said written in purple crayon, your favorite color.
'I must tell you something important.
-Eddie'
Said yours, the handwriting was much messier and unlike yours, this one was more crumpled.
"What happened?" You both muttered at the same time, confusion growing in your faces.
"You left this at my house" you said, holding up the crumpled, misspelled piece of paper. Eddie squinted, examining the sheet closely.
"True it's my handwriting, but I didn't send that" he pointed to the sheet in his hand, beginning to feel insecurity flutter in his stomach "I guess you didn't send this then".
"No, I didn't" you folded the paper into four pieces, tucking it into the back pocket of your denim shorts "I'm sure Robin played a joke on us".
He just nodded, mentally thanking whoever had done this. He couldn't regret it.
"But..." he swallowed as he saw you staring at him, waiting expectantly for him to say whatever it was he had to say "maybe we could take this moment to walk around a bit, don't you think? It's been a long time since we've talked."
"Okay" you shrugged, hoping not to show how much emotion being alone with Eddie for at least ten minutes was causing you.
Ever since Vecna had attacked, everyone had been on Eddie's case, and for the same reason you could hardly be alone like you used to be. None of you said anything, but you hated how they were interrupted again and again, as if they didn't know what you were feeling.
And yes, everyone knew you liked each other, from 'little' Erica to old Uncle Wayne. And yes, it was absurd to everyone that you hadn't proposed yet, you were too obvious, and even stupider.
"There's a place I've been meaning to take you for a while now, but I haven't been able to do it, you know, with work and all the evaluations" he excused himself quickly, scratching his hair nervously.
"Yeah, easy, I get it" you laughed, taking his hand. Eddie couldn't help but think that this time it felt different, intimate.
You both walked lazily through the woods. You were confused, but it thrilled you to think of the place Eddie had found. He had told you it was beautiful, that it was almost as if it had been made for the two of you. Your feet ached, but you believed Eddie, and if he said it was worth it, then you trust him.
"Wait" Eddie murmured, smiling broadly "you can't see, it's surprise."
"I hope it's as beautiful as you promise" you joked, starting to feel butterflies in your stomach, and not the good kind. It was getting dark and the sound of rustling leaves were scaring you more and more.
"Trust me" he stood behind you, covering your eyes carefully. They walked a little further, Eddie holding your waist carefully, giving caresses almost unconsciously. "We're here" He whispered in your ear, sending a shiver through your body.
But you didn't care, not when you had that view in front of you.
Maybe for many it wouldn't be a big deal, but for you it was almost paradise. Everything was dark, you supposed it was after nine o'clock at night, but still you had never seen anything so bright. The place was full of fireflies flying freely around a rickety van that looked like it had some old hippie drawings on it. Inside the van were some sheets and pillows, from the ceiling hung some white Christmas lights that illuminated the interior almost magically, and among all the tangle of blankets was an old acoustic guitar that had some half deformed drawings of skulls and unreadable words.
"It's..." you approached at a slow pace, circling in place, watching the fireflies float around like little shooting stars "it's beautiful, Eddie".
"It is" he smiled, even though he wasn't talking about the same thing you were. Since he uncovered your eyes he could only look at you, and all he could think was that this place wouldn't come up to your feet.
"Did you do it?" You muttered, turning to look at him in amazement.
He cleared his throat, walking over to the van and leaning back among the blankets, patting his side to keep you company.
"I found the van a few weeks ago and thought it would look nice with some decorations" you just nodded, laying down next to him, looking up at the ceiling full of lights.
"Look" Eddie smiled, raising his arms and making strange figures with his hands "remember the first time we stayed together?"
You just laughed, raising your hands next to him, looking at the shadows on the wall.
"Of course I do, it was in the fall, wasn't it?" without taking your eyes off the wall, forming a rabbit with your hands.
"That's right" Eddie murmured, making a fox "I started crying when the shadows of the trees peeked into my room" he smiled slightly, bringing his hand close to yours, barely an inch "and you turned on the lamp and started making animals with your hands."
"That was fun" you nodded, mimicking Eddie and moving your hand closer to his.
Eddie sat up, taking your hand and intertwining your fingers carefully. You both began to feel nervous. This time, you thought, butterflies aren't bad.
"That..." he cleared his throat, watching as you sat down next to him, the lights shining in your greenish eyes "that was the first day I found out it was how I felt about you."
You opened your lips just slightly, your hand unconsciously squeezing Eddie's.
"What was it?" You murmured, leaning closer to him until you felt your breaths merge.
"Love" he whispered, closing his eyes so he wouldn't have to see your furious face, so he wouldn't have to see the rejection in those beautiful eyes.
To his surprise, all he received was a rough kiss, barely a brush of lips that slowly grew as you both began to move your hands up.
You stroked her curls, messing up the ponytail Eddie wore; he held your cheeks gently, caressing your cheekbones softly.
They reluctantly parted as you ran out of air. You pressed your foreheads together, both had your eyes locked and a smirk on your faces.
"I love you too, Eddie" you murmured, kissing his knuckles.

"Haha, yes! Another one!" He exclaims, walking into the trailer.
You look up at him, smiling before looking back at her book, reading the rest of the page. He rushes over to the cabinet, searching around for the 'Special K' drug to give the dealers out front. Walking back out, he gives them a small amount of the drug before they flee the front door.
Eddie returns inside.
He walks towards the bathroom, telling you that he's gonna shower before bed as you nod and get off the couch when you feel that awful feeling of someone watching you. you look out the window, trying to see if there is someone near by as the gut feeling worsens. Taking a breath, closing the curtain then walking into the bedroom to change out of your current clothes.
Suddenly, you hear a window opening in the main room of the trailer, causing you to startle before grabbing a bat next to the chest of drawers, taking a step further into the living room. You look and see nothing as you sigh in relief before lowering your hands to your side. You're about to put the bat down when you feel something cold touch your back.
You knew it was a gun, somehow you just knew just from the way it felt on your clothed back. The male tells you to drop the bat as you obeyed, dropping the bat onto the floor as tears threaten to spill from your eyes. You try to stay calm as fear rises within your body, the male grabs your shoulder and forces you out of the trailer until you feel something hard hit your head, causing you to immediately black out. Meanwhile, Eddie hears the commotion from the shower but brushes it off and continues on with his shower.
One other male climbs out of the van, helping your lifeless body in before sitting down next to you as the other guy with the gun sits on the other side of your body. A third male that sits in the drivers seat begins to drive off as it catches Eddie's attention behind the closed doors.
~~~
When Eddie exits the shower, towel wrapped around his waist, he makes way into the bedroom to get dressed as he decides to check in on his girlfriend. He becomes concerned as he rushes over to the phone and dials the number written on a piece of paper. It rings and rings and rings until someone picks up on the other end, saying hello as Eddie clears his throat.
"Hello?"
"Hey, is Y/N there?"
"Uh, no. I thought she was spending the night with you?"
"No, she is not here but I'll look around the trailer."
He sighs, hanging the phone up before searching the trailer. He sees no trace of her, the book she was reading lies on the coffee table untouched which kinda freaks him out. Something is giving him an eerie but saddened feeling. With no trace, he becomes worried as he looks outside and still nothing. He begins to worry before running back inside and calling the police, telling them that his girlfriend is no where to be found.
They send the chief out as Eddie sits and waits on the couch. Once the chief arrives, he begins asking Eddie a bunch of questions, fear plastered on his face as tears begin to spill from his eyes, showing the chief that he is terrified and didn't commit the crime of his girlfriend's disappearance.
They continue to ask questions as Eddie becomes too overwhelmed before they stop so he can take a few breathes, trying to calm himself down. They all take some time as Eddie wonders where you are, praying that you're okay.
~~
Once you begin to wake up, you look around the confined room and feels the pounding pain in the back of your head. You see a male in front of you, arms crossed as you stare at him. You try to scan his face so you can have a description for police, something she won't be able to do anytime soon. You feel his hand glide across your face, stinging before inhaling and exhaling. The man leaves you by yourself, closing and locking the door as you begin to yell.
You knew you were somewhere where anyone can't hear you, stopping and sitting there. Sighing, you decide to try and fight, knocking yourself over and onto the floor, causing the cheap wooden chair to break as your restraints loosen around your ankles and wrists.
"Jesus, that hurt." You murmur before getting yourself free from the ropes.
For the next few hours, you sit in the confined room and trying to find a way out, something to free you from the hell. That never came when the the same male from earlier comes back, holding a plate of food as he opens the heavy door, seeing you on the floor not tied up. Anger pours over him, coming closer and grabbing your face, seeing your scared and tired complexion.
"You stupid bitch," He said, dropping the plate of food. "You fucking slut,"
He rushes towards you as he pushes you back as your head hits the wall behind you, feeling the pain come back again but stronger as you feel him punching at your upper body including your face and neck. He moves his legs, kicking you in the stomach three times before going back to putting your hands and feet in the restraints again. You feel your stomach churn as you begin to purge, coughing as you spit the rest of the ruminants out of your mouth.
You lean against the wall, feeling very fragile and weak as every bit of movement hurt you severely. You have a coughing fit, thinking of your boyfriend and wondering if he is out looking for you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Twenty four hours passed without realizing it as you continue to sit in your confined and lonely room, praying for something good to happen as the hope begins to die. She began to wonder if she'll ever make it out but can't seem to deal with that overwhelming feeling. She lays there, lifeless and numb.
Every other hour, you would get abused to the point where you're in pain, lifeless and hanging onto life. You had no one to talk to, no one to interact with, no TV, nor books as you feel your depression get worse.
You have had food, but it wasn't enough same as water. The men in the house didn't want your prints marked on their dishes, along with convincing you that you're gonna die and no one cares about you. You tried not to believe them, but your whole body got the best of you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eddie though, hasn't stopped looking for you. He even gathered Steve and Robin to help look for you, eventually finding nothing as he begins to loose hope. Steve and Robin try their hardest to keep Eddie going, telling him they'll find you somewhere.
"I just... I wanna be able to hold her again, kiss her. A piece of my heart has been ripped out, and I don't know if I'll ever get that piece back. I miss her."
"I'm sorry, man." Steve apologizes, feeling upset as well as Robin who rests her hand on Eddie's arm.
Tears well up in Eddie's eyes, sniffling before wiping the tears. He tries to keep his emotions in but cries as Steve and Robin try their best to calm him down, knowing that nothing will at this point. He cries for a while before getting the courage to keep looking, wiping away his tears, fearing that something bad happened and she is unable to move or live. With being sleep deprived, Eddie begins to hallucinate when he thought he saw you nearby, walking away from him.
Steve breaks him out of the trance, telling Eddie to hurry up as he follows Steve. He pulls out a medium-sized bottle of alcohol before opening the cap and taking a sip.
"Woah, drinking in mid day? Isn't it too early?"
"No, man. It's not. I'm losing myself here and need something to keep me company."
The carry on, looking around even more before giving up and going home. Eddie lays on the couch, staring off into the distance as he continues to drink more alcohol, not caring anymore. The stress takes over him, consuming him and making it difficult to do anything at that point, so he stays in the trailer and becomes isolated.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You sit on the edge of the bathtub in the bathroom of your captor's room, trying to process everything at the same time as the male stands right outside the door waiting for you to hurry up. Is you didn't get out in time, he would shoot you dead. You quickly and tiredly put your hands on the walls around you including the shower and toilet.
You flush the toilet and walk over to the sink, washing your hands as you unlock the door. You turn the nob, opening the bathroom door and stand behind the male. He is no where to be seen as you see the gun lying on a table beside you.
You notice that its not your typical pistol, it is a silencer pistol knowing that it will make no noise.
"Perfect," You whisper.
You keep the gun with you as you make your half dressed self way down the hall, keeping all senses open before seeing movement nearby. You hold the gun close, getting scared of the male as you accidentally shoot the male, causing a wave of fear was through you. Dropping the gun, thinking it is fake, you see a huge blood puddle around the deceased male.
It scares you as you run away, making way towards the back part of the house, trying to pry open the window until you feel a pair of arms wrap around your body.
"Where do you think you're going?"
You shout so many words that they don't make sense, causing your anxiety to be set high. He takes you back to the small room when he sees his friend dead and bleeding out for a gunshot wound. It causes his grip to loosen on you as you break free from his grasp, running towards the same area, this time pulling the window harder but fails again.
You get caught before being abused again, tossing your sore body into the confined room as you get tied up again, the male pulls out a knife and stabs you in your chest, barely missing your heart as the pain take over your body. You feel weak before laying there, not knowing what to do.
The male stands and walks away, needing a new plan due to the death of his own friend, deciding to call police to let them know a 'suicide' took place.
When the cops arrive, the male tells police that Michael (deceased male) had committed suicide. Of course, you didn't know the names of your abductors. You heard people walking around, too weak to move but knew that it had to be something good. So, you shout, thinking someone will hear you but nothing happens as you see the open wound, soaking your tank top.
"Help," You weakly call out. "Help. Please! I'm stuck."
You can tell no one was coming for you, so you lay there against the wall, slowly dying and telling yourself that this is your last day alive. You can't seem to speak out loud, but in your mind you muster up the words to say as Eddie flashes through your mind, wondering if he's okay. You hope and pray that you'll be out of the hell hole. You had no idea what day or time it was considering there's no clock around, so you went off of the counted hours in your head.
You go in and out of consciousness before blacking out all the way, lying there slowly loosing your life as your body tells you to take a little nap. No one is near you to save your life, so you convince yourself and accept that you're gonna die.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the police leave the house, the male makes his way down to the confined room, finding your lifeless body on the ground with a large amount of blood coming from the stab wound on her upper chest. He is relieved that you're dead before bringing your body out and shoving it under a bunch of blankets in the trunk. He drives out a semi rural area in Hawkins, disposing your body unaware that you are alive and not dead, weakly making your way through to survive. Once he drove off, you lay there but actually begin to feel awful once again, closing your eyes again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the same scene your body is at, Steve and Robin notice a female body lying in a grassy part of rural area, feeling spooked before he rushes towards a phonebooth near by and calls the police, telling them where the location is at, having multiple cops come out including an ambulance.
When they arrive, the two officers clear Robin and Steve from the area before heading over to your body and see if you are still alive.
Steve is holding Robin in his arms, tears falling as they pray its not you. If it is, they hope your alive. Something unexpected begins to happen as it shocks everyone around them. One of the officers slides on a glove and gets down to you, putting his first two fingers on your skin, feeling the area where your pulse is.
Feeling slow beats of the pulse, he wonders if he's hallucinating but turned out he was right. You were alive and barely hanging onto life, fighting, so you can live to see another day,
"Holy crap," One officer says out loud.
"What?"
"She's alive! She's alive! Get a stretcher out here now!" He shouts as the paramedics get to you, working you before loading you up onto the stretcher.
Robin moves to look at you, seeing your badly bruised body as she wonders what you endured.
"We have to get to Eddie and tell him the news,"
"Yeah,"
The two get into Steve's car before driving towards Eddie's trailer, basically running up to the small house and frantically knocking on the door as he opens, clearly annoyed and a bit intoxicated.
"What?"
"They found her," Steve says.
"Found who?"
"Your girlfriend, Eddie. Y/N is alive and getting taken to the hospital."
"I don't believe you guys."
"Well, come on then."
Steve manages to get Eddie out of the trailer as they head to Hawkins's Medical Center and heads to the from desk asking about you. There is currently no information about you or what condition you're in as the three young adults move and take a seat in the waiting room, awaiting any news about you. They wait for hours and hours when a cop and doctor walk out of the operating room, coming to Eddie, Steve and Robin.
"We have declared that the woman that was brought in is in fact Y/N Y/L/N, based on the description of the missing poster." The detective reveals.
A wave of happiness flood their systems, but come back and listens to what the doctor has to say about your condition. He tries to explain it the best he can, but is uncertain of you awaking from your coma. The doctor also tells them that the surgery will be even longer dur to such horrendous injuries.
As the time passes, the three sit there as Nancy arrives wondering what happened as she hears that you being found is all over the news.
"Is.. Is she okay?"
"I don't know," Steve says, looking at Eddie and seeing that his nerves are high.
Eddie is sitting there, leaned over a bit as his chin rests in his hand, tears welling up in his eyes. The thought of loosing you made his mind wander but snaps out of the dark thoughts when he rises to his feet and makes way toward the counter, asking about you.
"She just got out of surgery, but it'll take a little while longer due to injuries."
He nods, saying okay before walking back to his seat. He sits down, leaning back as he taps his foot up and down. He rises and asks again later, but gets a different answer. He gets the okay to go and see you as he felt great excitement about it but has to keep calm.
He grabs a 'hello my name is...' sticker, writing his name before sticking it on as he walks towards the hall, making his way through the hallway and finding your room and the room number. Taking a breath, he calms his fast paced heart before entering as his eyes hit your lifeless figure. Just the sight of you made him upset as he sits beside you and crying into your hand.
"I'm sorry, I should've protected you. It's all my fault that you're in this position. I'm so sorry."
The night went very slow due to the coma, but everyone held their heads high and pray for you, hoping the prayers will be answered and they do. A few hours later, you suddenly wake up, panicking as you don't recognize the room you're in when you see someone familiar. Eddie carefully holds you close as he comforts you the best he can as he tries to not scare you.
"It's okay, I got you." He says quietly, loud enough for you to hear.
"E-Eddie?"
"Yeah, it's me. Don't worry, I'm here. I'm here." He comforts her.
A month later.
Walking out of your boyfriend's trailer with your crutches, you stop and see Eddie pulling up to the small house before getting out of his vehicle. Greeting you with a kiss, you both make it inside and he helps you get comfortable before he takes a seat next to you, excited to tell you the news of the three men who captured you.
"One of the men, Michael Riviera was found dead at the scene. Police believe that it was a suicide-"
"I shit him, Ed. I shot him on accident, okay?"
"I know. I know you would never shoot anyone unless you are protecting yourself."
"Proceed,"
"The two other men, Nick and Theodore Miller, who are brothers, and they were sent to prison without the possibility of parole due to immense amount of violence done to you."
"Wow, Eds. That is great news, honestly."
"Yeah, and I'm happy that you're alive and well."
"No, alive and healing. I'm a survivor. I went through hell and made it out. I pretty much was a miracle basically. Not very many people survive abductions, especially women."
"Yeah, I know."
"Anyway, I have to keep this brace on for another few weeks due to my injuries,"
"Jesus, that sucks.:
You look around the room, noticing your untouched book has collected dust but you pick it up anyway and begin to read the page you left off, remembering the night you were taken away from Eddie. The one who you loved so much, knowing how hurt you both were. You continue on through the page, trying to stay calm but can't seem to read the book due to the past events. The last time you read your book, you were taken and held captive in a tiny room for over two days. You close your book and set it down, trying to understand everything you went through.
Even though you don't understand everything that happened that night, you pushed through life and didn't give up because you had a good support system and a boyfriend who wanted the best for you so you decided to do what's right not only for you mentally but physically.
Hello! I've read other Eddie Munson work you've written and adored the hell out of it! I was wondering if I could place in a request for him? I had an idea about a "battle of the bands" thing between Eddie and the (f)reader. He's metal/rock and she's pop/alternative and it having a loose enemies to lovers trope [I genuinely don't think Eddie could be enemies with a band simply because of them having a different sound than his]. Can be blurbs, headcanons, a one-shot, whatever you wanna write, or if you don't wanna write it at all just say so and I'll be on my merry way reading more Eddie stuff and vibing.
hey, guess what? you get your request! đ now introducing: rival bassist!reader x eddie- a collection of blurbs featuring rival bassist!fem!reader and eddie!!! so excited for this!!! thanks for the inspiration! and youâre absolutely right, eddie simply couldnât âhateâ someone for being in a rival band, but he could start sneaking around with them and maybe even develop feelings for themđ (NSFW WARNING! â ïžÂ oral fixation, making out, thigh riding, no actual smut, MINORS DNI!!!) (this blurb is part of a collection and can be read alone, or in addition to the ones listed below)
November 1989
âI bet theyâre wondering where you are, sweetheart,â He teases against your neck, one hand tangled in your hair while the other rests against your hip. âBet theyâre gonna come looking for you any second now-â A sloppy kiss lands at the corner of your lips and you tighten your grip on the leather of his collar. âWhat would they say, if they saw you like this? With me?â
He smells like cigarettes, sweat, and shampoo- a combination thatâs absolutely mundane, but so uniquely him that youâve grown to recognize the smell. It makes your heart race. Youâre drawn to it- not the combination itself, but the unique blend of him. So much so that youâve learned to recognize it in a crowd. Itâs intoxicating. Itâs chaotic. Itâs dangerous- just like your budding attraction towards him.
âP-probably the same thing your friends would say if they-â Itâs hard to form a coherent thought with the way his lips continue to assault your skin- skin thatâs already so flushed and covered with a sheen layer of sweat, even before youâve played your set. Eddie has that effect on you- the ability to spike your adrenaline and get your heart racing with just the feverish press of his lips. Itâs embarrassing, honestly. The feeling- a delicate mix of both nerves and excitement- reminds you of teenage rebellion. Heâs everything youâve been told to stay away from, but youâve indulged in temptation and you simply canât get enough. Youâre addicted.
You canât tell if itâs him that makes your heart race, or if itâs the traitorous acts you commit with him that make you crave these brief moments together. Either way, you shouldâve heeded the warnings and stayed away from him- but youâve never been one for following rules.
With your back pressed against the wall and his thigh between your legs, youâre having trouble thinking clearly. Itâs dark backstage, only a few overhead lights lining the dark hallways of the venue, and while the two of you arenât exactly secluded, youâve managed to find a corner that offers you a semblance of privacy. Still, someone could walk by at any moment and catch the two of you.
The thought isnât enough to deter you. If anything, it adds to the thrill.
His tongue traces the column of your throat and you struggle to keep your eyes open. The hand in your hair moves down to your neck and cold metal meets searing skin when he wraps his hand around your throat. Youâve always admired the rings on his fingers, but you adore them when theyâre around your throat. He laughs against your collarbone when your movements against his thigh falter.
Itâs a massive boost to his ego whenever the two of you manage to slip away from prying eyes. This secret affair started months ago, and ever since then, Eddieâs been hooked on you. You were the first one to make a move, waiting until you knew for certain the two of you were alone and none of your band mates, or his, would find the two of you before you pulled him into a heated kiss. It was Eddieâs first, but you didnât know that. It was all teeth, tongues, and spit. It was messy and impulsive- chaotic and compelling- and from the very first brush of his tongue against yours, you knew you were addicted.
Since then, your illicit affair has continued to progress in secret. While the two of you havenât gone all the way yet, youâre the first girl- the only girl- heâs ever kissed, touched, and gone down on. The first time you went down on him he nearly creamed his pants. As soon as your hands reached for his belt buckle, he knew he was done for.
You were something else entirely, something he was never prepared for. From the first time your lips met his, he wondered if every kiss felt like that- like he couldnât breathe, and it was his last care in the whole entire world as long as it meant that your lips would never leave his again- and every kiss with you, did.
Maybe it was the fact that the two of you were supposed to hate each other. You were rivals, after all. But neither the success of your band nor his could keep the two of you away from one another for very long. Instead of competing with each other, you recognize each otherâs unique talent, and while your band mates donât feel the same way, you and Eddie share the same mutual feeling of admiration- one that extends beyond your physical attraction to each other.
âNgh!â He sucks the spot behind your ear, the one that makes your eyes roll back every time his tongue brushes over it, and your eyes fly open. âThatâs too high, and you know it-â Your hands meet his chest, gently shoving him off of you while you scold him for marking you someplace visible. As soon as heâs out of your grip, youâre reaching for him once more and he bites back a smile when you instruct him to, âGo lower.â
He raises an eyebrow in question, but your fingers are already fumbling with the buttons on your vest. Youâre clawing at the tight leather, eager to unfasten every clasp that keeps you separated from him and he grins- something wicked and fueled by unadulterated lust.
âWant me to mark these pretty tits?â A few months ago, he never couldâve imagined himself saying such a thing. The very thought of uttering such a sentence wouldâve made his cheeks heat with embarrassment. But Eddieâs not the same guy he was a few months ago. Ever since your rendezvous started, ever since you came into his life, youâve corrupted him- in the very best way possible. Now, he confidently palms at your chest, his large hand giving your breast a gentle squeeze while he nips at the tender flesh, causing you to let out a breathy moan. âWant me to give you something to remember me by?â
Heâs cockier than the last time you were together. Gone is the shy, quiet guy you practically threw yourself at, and in his place is a smug, cocky, teasing bastard. Heâs getting off on it, too- teasing you. It makes him feel like heâs never felt before- powerful, confident, and in control. You think the power is going straight to his head.
He needs to be knocked down a few pegs.
With a harsh tug of his hair, you pull his face away from your breasts and his eyes widen when he realizes he mightâve done something that hurt you. His lips part to ask if youâre alright, but the words die on his tongue when you place a single finger against his mouth, effectively silencing him.
âWant you to stop talking,â Your lips ghost over his, teasing him, and before he can lean in and press his lips to yours once more, you force him to turn his head to the side and bare his throat to you. Itâs so pretty, and he whimpers when you trace the thick vein along his neck with the tip of your tongue. Itâs absolute torture for him, but he doesnât want you to stop. Luckily for him, you have no intention of doing so. A broken noise gets caught in the back of his throat when you rest your teeth against his pulse point- the pressure just barely there- and he lets out a low groan while he flexes beneath you. His hands tighten against your waist, rocking you back and forth the way he wants you to. He doesnât seem to grasp the fact that heâs no longer the one in control. Another harsh tug of his locks has him turning towards you with big, brown, pleading eyes and now, itâs your turn to smile. âAnd put your mouth to work.â You tell him, forcing his mouth back down to your chest and holding him there by the back of his head.
He immediately takes the hint and starts licking, sucking, and biting any part of you he can get his mouth on. His thumb brushes against one of your pebbled nipples and you let out a shuddered breath. âEddie-â
âLove it when you say my name,â He mumbles against you, removing the hand at your waist so he can palm himself through his jeans. âFuck.â
âDonât get used to it, Munson,â You warn, or at least try to before he takes one of your nipples into his mouth and starts teasing the sensitive bud with the tip of his tongue.
âYou telling me this is a one-time thing, sweetheart?â He teases, and you nearly bang your head on the wall behind you. âIt wasnât the last time or the time before that.â He reminds you, and the bluntness of his reply has you clenching around nothing. âI doubt thisâll be the last time you drag me into some dark cor-â
âYou dragged me into this dark corner.â You quickly correct him, and his laugh rumbles against your chest.
âYeah, but youâre the one that followed willingly, didnât you?â He revels in the silence that follows from the lack of your reply, and he takes the opportunity to tease you further- now that he knows heâs got you right where wants you. âYouâre also the one that started getting off on my thigh when all I wanted to do was kiss you a little.â Your mouth falls open, and the little whine that follows goes straight to his cock. âAdmit it,â He growls, âYou missed me.â
âNever,â You lie, placing your hands on his shoulders to steady yourself while you continue to ride his thigh.
âNever?â He frowns, pulling back a little to look at you and you groan at the loss of contact. He thinks you look beautiful- your pupils blown wide, your teeth sinking into your lower lip, and the way your hair is sticking to your forehead- and makes it a point to commit the moment to memory. ââS a shame, baby, because I missed you.â You try to speed up against his thigh, but two strong hands halt your movements, abruptly.
Drunk on pleasure, and dizzy with desire, your mind is reeling further and further away from rational thinking. Suddenly, itâs hard to find a rebuttal thatâll knock him off his game, the same way heâs managed to render you completely submissive to him. His hands travel to your thighs, and he doesnât even have to ask for you to know what heâs insinuating. You can see it in his eyes.
As soon as he hoists you up, your legs wrap around his waist. He presses himself against you and you can feel the hard outline of his cock through the rough material of his jeans. Youâre so close, but you need more friction, and heâs purposely holding himself against you, refusing to move. Eddie loves watching you wither because of him, but as much as he enjoys teasing you, heâs not going to last much longer.
âSoâŠfuckingâŠmuch,â He growls, his lips finding your neck while he punctuates each word with a sharp thrust that rubs against your clothed clit just right.
Youâve never needed him as badly as you need him right now. Youâve always imagined what it would feel like to have his impressive length filling you. He was thicker- and slightly longer- than anyone youâve ever been with, and youâve longed for the day where you got to feel him inside of you- to feel him stretching you, filling you, and claiming you in ways youâve never been stretched, filled or claimed before.
Unfortunately, this was neither the time of place.
âWe donât have ti-â
The sound of your name echoes down the long, abandoned hallway as someone calls out for you. You quickly shove Eddie off of you, and he stumbles back while you start fumbling with the buttons of your vest. His lips are swollen , yours are too, and his hair is a tangled mess. Yours isnât any better and when the sound of approaching footsteps gets louder and louder, you and Eddie share a silent look of longing before he disappears around the corner.
You hate watching him leave. Every stolen moment is just another reminder that youâre always on borrowed time. Part of you wishes that the two of you met under different circumstances. Part of you wonders if he wouldâve even spared a glance your way had you not been wielding your bass, donned in tight leather and racy lace. If the two of you passed each other in the street, would he have chased after you? Would you have chased after him? Is your attraction to him genuine, or is it rooted solely within the pleasure he brings you?
âWhere the hell have you been?â Nick, your bandmate, asks. âIâve been looking everywhere for you.â With his hands planted firmly on his hips and a look of annoyance, and frustration, on his face, he demands an answer.
Thinking quickly, you look around and spot some equipment on a cart across the way.
âI wanted to grab a different pedal before our set started, but I guess itâs too la-â
âYou shouldâve thought about that earlier.â Luckily, Nick is too irritated to care about your poor attempt at an excuse, and he doesnât push any further for an answer. âLetâs go, Corroded Coffinâs almost on and youâre not gonna want to miss it.â
âW-why wouldnât I want to miss it?â You struggle to get the words out, but he doesnât seem to notice.
Instead, his smile grows the closer and closer you get to the stage. Heâs practically dragging you behind him, eager to make it to the wings before their set starts and you feel your stomach twist uncomfortably when all he offers as a reply is, âYouâll see.â
âNick?â Itâs so ominous that you canât help but timidly ask for an explanation.
âDid you know they left their instruments and equipment unattended?â He beams proudly, not really interested in whether you were privy to such information or not. âNot a single one of those losers thought to stay with their stuff,â His laugh makes your heart drop when he admits, âMade it so much easier to mess with.â
âWhat did you do?â Your question makes him smile, and before you can press for an actual answer, the mic hisses with feedback when Eddie confidently introduces his band and the crowd starts cheering.
With his back towards you, you can see the mess youâve made of his curls. While theyâre normally unruly and frizzy with no real shape or hold to them, theyâre knotted and matted from where you were tugging on them not even ten minutes prior. Heâs wearing a tank top- something he cut the sleeves off of and cropped himself- giving the perfect view of all of the tattoos that line his arms, but also the pale skin thatâs flushed red with heat. Youâre not sure if itâs from the anticipation of performing, or from the acts you were previously engaged in. Either way, he looks a mess- a confident, sexy mess- and it has you shifting with an ache that only he could fulfill. Youâre so caught up in gawking at him that you donât even realize that theyâre starting their set.
For a moment, everything is silent. Then, Eddieâs eyes widen in horror when he strums the first chord and realizes that his equipment has been tampered with. To his right, the other guitarists attempts the same chord, only for the same awful warped sound to blare through the venue, causing the audience to flinch. His eyes shift to the wings where they meet yours for a brief second before he notices Nick standing beside you with the biggest grin on his face. He realizes, then, that heâs staring at the culprit that sabotaged their set.
And that, was the official declaration of war amongst Corroded Coffin and Eternal Hereafter.
đđđșđșđźđżđ ⏠after the show, the real fans know where to wait for a chance to meet their idol; eddie probably just thought he was going to get a poster signed, but instead he got something much more memorable than an autograph.
You left the stage with a final wave, overwhelmed by the screaming and applause. Your second encore was your final, you were sure of that, but the crowd had really been excellent; you didnât know what to expect, coming to a place like Indiana, but clearly even the rural Midwesterners knew how to rock.
They also knew those little groupie secrets, at least some of them didâ there was a small crowd waiting for you when you were done breaking down and walking back to your tour bus, thrusting pictures and pens at you with eager excitement. Your security tried to brush them aside, but they mustâve been waiting here over an hour after the concert ended, and you wanted to give them something to show for all that effort.
âI love you so much,â one girl informed you as you were signing a picture of your own face for her; yes, all that was still a bit weird to you, but after a few years, you got used to it.
âI love you more,â you returned with a little smile.
âCan you make it out to my friend Hank?â a man asked as you moved on to his picture next. âHe loves youâ he had to work tonight, but heâs like, actually obsessed with you.â
It was just a coincidence that you glanced up over his shoulder, and that was where you saw a young man leaning against the cement retaining wall, one foot propped up as he held a cigarette up to his lips. His headbanger hair and your shirt on his chestâ well, not your shirt, but one of your bandâs shirtsâ under the leather-jacket-denim-vest combo equally gave away that he had been at your show, but he wasnât waiting beside the tour bus like the others. When you glanced at him, he quickly looked away, only to catch your eyes one more time a mere split second later and awkwardly drop his head down so heâd stop looking at you; you laughed quietly to yourself, focusing again on signing the picture for the fan in front of you. He was trying so hard to look cool and aloof, which defeated the purpose entirely, but it was much more endearing.
The small gaggle of fans dissipated after youâd indulged in autographs and photos, leaving only you, your security team, and himâ this guy tapping his cigarette so the glowing ashen butt would drop into the cement.
âYou can go,â you told your bodyguard.
âWeâre not alone,â he reminded you, frowning. He liked to do his due diligence, but you liked your privacy, so you didnât always get along.
âI think I can handle him,â you shrugged, and with a begrudging sigh, you were finally left alone. Â
After the raucous concert, the quiet was eerie; after being surrounded by massive, sweaty, screaming masses, the solitude was sort of titillating.
He wasnât looking at you now, but you could tell he wanted toâ you were walking up to him, he was pretending not to notice.
âHey kid,â you nodded at him, and his eyes lit up as he lifted his head.
âA-are you talking to me?â he stammered, and you grinned. Heâs cute⊠I like that âlost puppyâ look on a man.
âYeah,â you answered. âGot any extra cigs?â
âFor you?â he realized. âY-yeah, definitelyâ hold onââ
You smirked a little to yourself as he dug around in his pockets for a box. He pulled it out and shook a cigarette loose, holding it out for youâ instead of taking it out of his hand with your own, you simply leaned your head forward and grabbed the end with your lips. He seemed a little surprised, and you blinked up at him. âA light?â you mumbled, jiggling the cigarette as you spoke around it, and he jumped slightly as he dug in another pocket. Â
He found a black lighter and struck it for you; you leaned forward into the flame, inhaling the first drag of smoke as the end was lit.
You leaned back and exhaled through your nose, faking obliviousness to the way his eyes were glued to your lips as you smoked.
âGreat show,â he finally blurted out, and you glanced at him again.Â
âYeah?â
âI meanâ you were amazing,â he smiled wide.
âThanks,â you nodded, âyou guys were a great crowd.â
âOh, yeah, we tried,â he chuckled.
âGot a name?â you prompted him.
âUhâ Eddie. Munson. Eddie Munsonâ you donât need to know my last name⊠just Eddie,â he stammered and you grinned. You held your cigarette in your mouth, your left hand stuff in your pocket and your right extended for shakeâ and you introduced yourself. âI know your name, obviouslyâŠâ
You shrugged. âItâs a good habit to keep. Iâd be kind of a dick if I assumed everybody knew who I was.â
âIâm wearing your shirt,â he reminded you with a shy smile, and you tilted your head as you looked at him. His cheeks were turning pink; you could just eat him up⊠and you probably would.
âSo youâre a big fan?â
âO-oh, huge,â he beamed. âI mean, I didnât wanna be weird about it, but Iâve got everything youâve ever madeâ that first album, Iâve got it on tape and vinyl. It was such an inspirationâŠâ
âInspiration for what?â you asked.
âMy music!â he explained with a wide grin, as you nodded and took another drag. âI have a band, actuallyâ I mean, weâre not any good⊠I guess weâre okay, but we havenât really, uh, graduated from our garage phaseâŠâ
âNothing wrong with that,â you promised. "We were just a bunch of kids in Danny's garage for years, 'til his stepmom broke his drum set and we had to figure something else out."
While you were chuckling at the memory, Eddie was blushing nervously. "W-we're not exactly kids," he defended, and you raised an eyebrow.
"How old are you?" you wondered, looking him up and down.
"I-I turn twenty in July," he beamed.
"You can just say nineteen, honey," you smirked. "But, happy early birthday."
"You too," he offered, before wincing. "Wait! I meanâ fuck."
You laughed heartily as he stammered and crossed his arms, shaking his head and that mane of hair with it. "Don't be so nervous," you soothed, reaching out to touch his arm briefly. "I'm just another freak who happened to make some records that some people listened to. Nothin' to be scared of."
His eyes glanced to your hand on his bicep just before you pulled it awayâ and you saw it on his face, you could read him like a book: he knew what you were doing, and he knew that he liked it, but he had no idea what he was supposed to do.
But that wasnât any trouble at all. You could do enough flirting for the both of you.
âYouâre not just that,â he insisted, âyouâre also, like, a musical genius.â
âOh, pff,â you dismissed with a wave of your hand which made the smoke in the air twist in on itself. âDoesnât take a genius to play a couple chords and sing about sex and drugs.â
âGood, âcause thatâs what Iâm tryinâ to do,â he grinned.Â
âWell, arenât you adorable,â you noticed, and he choked slightly as his cheeks started to tint.
âI guess I am,â he replied shyly. âAny advice for a rockstar in the making?â
âJust keep playinâ, kid,â you offered, âplay âtil you think your fingers are gonna fall off, then keep going. Get so good they have to notice you.â
He nodded gratefully, sucking another lungful of smoke out of his cigaretteâ it was nearly done, and you decided now was the time if you were ever going to make a move.
âIf youâre lucky, you make enough to eat,â you added. âIf youâre really lucky, you get to ride around on a custom bus and tour the country playing for no-good punks like yourself.â
âSounds like fun,â he grinned. âIs the bus really custom?Â
"Yeah, wanna see it?" you asked.
"I can see it from here," he assured. "Waitâ you mean inside?"
You nodded, and he got a little flustered which just made him even more precious.
"Yeah, that would beâ I'd love to."
âCâmon then,â you prompted with a tilt of your head, turning on your heel to guide him across the parking lot. Halfway there, you dropped your cigarette on the ground and stepped on the burning end; the pavement was damp from the remnants of a light drizzle during the concert, and the butt sizzled as you twisted your boot over it. You heard Eddie toss his cig, too, as you pried the bus doors open.
He followed you up the narrow stairs and you hoped he was staring at your assâ you knew just how good it looked in this little concert get-up, those managers kept you dolled up for these gigs even when you'd rather just be in another band's shirt and ripped jeans.
He shut the door behind himself, eyes reflecting the dim lights as you flipped them on and he admired the tour bus. "Woah," he nodded, "this is so coolâŠ"
"It's home, half the year," you shrugged as you turned to the mini-bar. "The grand tour takes about two secondsâ that way's the bedroom and a bathroom that's smaller than a phone booth."
But he didn't seem to be paying too much attention; you looked over your shoulder and saw him admiring your posters. "You've played in Japan?!" he noticed as he examined the dates on the 1983 tour poster.
"Mhm, great crowd," you recalled.
"Sick," he nodded, turning and slipping his hands in his pockets as he looked around the bus more.
"What's the drinking age in Indiana again?" you wondered as you poured yourself some bourbon.
"Uh⊠think it's twenty-one," he mumbled sheepishly.
"More for me," you grinned.
"Aw, come on," he pouted, "I do a lot worse stuff than underage drinking."
"Oh, you're a bad boy, huh?" you chuckled as you took a sip of your drink, looking at him over the rim of the glass.
"I-I guess."
You hummed as you swallowed the bitter liquor, a sweet-ish aftertaste hitting right as your chest warmed up a bit. "And what kind of trouble do you Indiana boys get up to?" you asked, stepping a little closer.
"Whatever trouble I'm selling for the week," he returned with a smirk. "But, usually just cheap pot."
"I bet you made a few sales at tonight's concert," you presumed.
"Some," he admitted, "but I was really just here for the music."
"Yeah? Me too," you winked. "You don't have to standâ I paid a lot for that couch, might as well use it."
He nodded as he glanced at the black leather sofa before sitting on it. "Comfy," he mumbled to himself as he felt the cushions, and you smirked.
He took a shaky breath when you stepped up to him and straddled his lap carefully; he tightened his grip on the couch as he looked you up and down. "You can touch me, you know," you told him quietly, "I don't bite. Except when asked very nicely."
While you took another sip of bourbon, he hesitantly reached up and laid his hands on your thighs through the tight pants, stroking with his thumbs slowly as you smiled.
Tossing your head back, you finished off the glass and leaned to the side to set the empty glass down. When you returned to face him, he was still staring down at your lap on top of his. You put one finger under his chin, tilting his face up to look at yours; he blinked his big puppy-dog eyes at you, and you smiled. âIf you want something from me, why donât you just ask?â you prompted.
âCan I⊠can I kiss you?â he finally asked, and you laughed a bit at his sweetness before you nodded.
He grabbed the back of your head and pulled you into a needy kiss, not too rushed but certainly not wasting any time. You kissed him back, gladly, smiling a little at the way you could almost taste his naivete and excitement.
His other hand was around your waist, pulling you down into his lap; you gasped when you felt through his jeans how hard he already was, the bulge in the black denim rubbing right up against your clit through the all-too-numerous layers of clothes.
âFuck,â you sighed as you reached to hold onto his shoulders, bunching up balls of his vest in your fists. âI want you, Eddie.â
âOh my god,â he breathed, both hands suddenly grabbing your hips as he started to guide you to grind against him. âIâ I never thought Iâd hear you say that.â
His lips moved to your neck instead, only gently kissing and teasing you first before you felt his teeth graze along the skin; your eyes fell shut and you grabbed on tighter to the thick denim vest.
âSay it again,â he pleaded suddenly, and you smiled through the haze of arousal clouding your mind. Â
You honored the spirit of his request, but you had to up the ante, of course. âI need you, Eddie,â you sighed instead, and he groaned loudly against where his kisses had trailed to your exposed clavicle.
âFuckâ okay,â he choked out, holding you tighter, âfuckâ are we reallyâ you wanna do it here? O-or is there a bed?â
You laughed again; god, heâs precious. âI think weâre gonna have time for both,â you explained, pulling your head up from where it had fallen back to look down at him again with an eyebrow raised. âI hope weâre gonna have time for both.â
âWeâre gonna have time for whatever you want,â he promised. âIâll be here until you kick me out, I swear.â
âMm,â you hummed proudly, toying with a stray curl in his mess of hair. âMaybe Iâll keep you thenâ take you on the rest of the tour. You can fuck me all the way to Cinncinnati.â
âGod,â he breathed, âdonât even joke about thatâ you know I would. Iâd follow you anywhere.â
âFuck me right and Iâll see what I can do, mkay?â you challenged, and he nodded quickly.
You lifted yourself up off of his lap just enough to start unbuckling his belt, and he gripped your thighs tighter again, watching you work his jeans open with total dumbstruck awe. Â
Smiling proudly, you reached into his fly once youâd unzipped it, finding his erection not only straining against his checkered boxers but staining them with a wet patch of precum. âWhatâs got you so worked up, huh?â you teased.
âBeen hard ever since you touched my arm,â he admitted. Â
âYou donât get laid back home?â you prompted.
âIn Hawkins? Hell no,â he chuckled breathlessly. Â
âFigured a pretty boy like you wouldnât have any trouble,â you presumed, feeling his cock jump on the other side of the cotton. He likes being called pretty, Iâll remember that. âYou never traded weed for some head or anything?âÂ
He shook his head, opening his mouth as his jaw shivered a bit.
âWell, I donât need whatever cheap skunk you deal,â you grinned, starting to back up off of his lap and kneeling on the floor in between his spread legs, âbut I kinda wanna suck you off anyways.â
âFuck,â he whispered, lifting his hips quickly and shoving his jeans and boxers down his thighs so you had easy access; you bit your lip not just at his eagerness, but at the thick length that bounced up and left another smear of precum on his band t-shirt. His hand reached up to touch your hair gently while you wrapped your own fingers around him, giving him a couple slow strokes first.
âYouâve got a nice cock,â you informed him.
âOhâ really?â he stammered. âIâ thanksâŠâ
âWhat do you want me to do to it?â you asked him, which seemed to make him even more confused. âI mean, I could just sign it and let you go now.â
âN-no,â he choked. Â
âThen say what you want me to do,â you encouraged.
âI want you to⊠suck it,â he whispered.
âSuck what?â you prompted.
âSuck my cock,â he said, a little more confidentâ still weak and whimpery, of course, but just stern enough to make you heat up between your legs.
For his reward, you looked up at him as you licked the headâ just once, and he was already looking totally wrecked. He covered his face with his ring-decorated hands, breaths louder when they echoed off of his palms, and tilted his head back.Â
âGod, Iâ this is a dream, right? Iâm dreaming?â
You just hummed as you wrapped your lips around him, letting your bourbon mouth soak the softer, sensitive head. Your tongue pressed against the spot right under his slit and he groaned, grabbing on tighter to your hair for a moment.
âF-fuck, sorry,â he mumbled, and you pulled off with a smirk.
âItâs okay, Iâm not that delicate,â you promised. âIâm yours for the night, Eddie, use me how you want.â
âJesus,â he hissed, moaning louder when you put your mouth on him againâ your hand held on tight to what your lips couldnât reach, and you felt him grab onto the back of your neck. âBabyâ you do this a lot? Take fans back here a-and suck them off?â
You sucked a little longer before pulling back to ask him, âdâya really wanna know?â
He laughed a bit and shook his head. âGuess not. Iâd rather feel special.â
âOh, baby,â you purred, âyou are special. Iâm gonna let you fuck me.â
You didnât get a chance to see his reaction to that, you were too busy burying your face in his crotch as you swallowed his cock down. He spread his thighs wider as you bobbed on his length, and you rubbed them with each handâ in part to soothe him, in part to hold him down so he wouldnât buck up into your throat.
He whimpered as you gagged on him while you massaged his thick thighs, the muscles tensing under your hand; you even felt your forehead rubbing against his shirt, and you had to stop yourself from laughing since you knew your face was on the printâ how eerie.
âFeels really good,â he blurted out suddenly, âwhen you choke on it like that⊠sâit really that big?â
You had to smile at that, so you pulled off and stroked his spit-slick cock instead as you grinned up at him. âNobody ever told you?âÂ
He shook his head.
âWell, your cock's fuckin' big,â you laughed. âSâgonna feel so goodâŠâ
You let him figure out what you meant by that when you grabbed him by each end of his opened jeans and pulled him up with you as you walked backwards to the bedroom. âYouâre not gonna let me return the favor?â he noticed with a smile.
âIâm feeling a little impatient,â you explained with a grin.
Stumbling through the cramped doorway and toppling back onto the bed, you helped Eddie out of his jacketâ but you just watched him take the shirt off, enjoying the show. He was lean underneath, just a little dash of hair and a lot of ink, and you bit your lip.
âNice tats,â you nodded.
âThanks,â he sighedâ and you thought he might stop to explain them or something but he just fell down on top of you again, pinning you to the bed and kissing you voraciously.
He fumbled with your clothes a bitâ the shirt came off fine, the pants were tight so it took some tugging, and the challenge only increased from there; you giggled as he reached under you and struggled with the clasps of your bra.
"A little help here?" he pleaded awkwardly, and you bent your arms behind your back to help him get it off. He groaned a little when it was tossed aside and your chest was freed for him. "I-I read this interview one time where you said you played shows topless sometimes, before you got big."
You laughed lightly; "Yeah, that's true. Got a lot more people in the door."
"I woulda killed to go to one of those gigs," he laughed.
"Well, I'm topless right now," you reminded him with a raised eyebrow, "what do you wanna do about it?"
"I wannaâ fuck, I wanna suck on 'em," he admitted, making you smile.
"Go for it, Eddieâ put your mouth on my tits."
There are a few words to describe the way he followed those instructions: eagerly, greedily, hungrily. He almost sucked too hard in his overexcitement, but the hint of pain just made your pussy pulse with need.
"That's good," you sighed out your praise. "You're good at thatâŠ"
He hummed against your skin, swirling his tongue around each bud as he went back and forth, even playfully biting near one and grinning up at you mischievously.
At the same time, his fingers hooked into your panties and slid them down your legsâ which you opened right away, letting him get an eyeful of your soaked pussy.
"You're perfect," he blurted out, making you snort a laughâ but it wasn't quite as funny when he dragged calloused fingers up from where most of your arousal had gathered all the way to your swelling clit.
"Fuck me, baby," you begged. "Want you so badâŠ"
"Want you too," he promised, "wanted this for so longâ dreamed about thisâ"
He cut himself off by pushing into you, sighing out his moan as you hissed from the slight sting.
âFuck,â he choked, pushing all the way to the brim, âIâ shit, I always imagined what youâd feel like, I⊠you feel so goodâŠâ
âYou imagined this, huh?â you smirked. âDonât tell me you jerked off to my poster.â
âOkay, I wonât tell you,â he laughed breathlessly.
He found his pace: deliberate and slightly impatient, like he was barely resisting the urge to just go fast and rough like any restlessly horny teenage boy would want to. You wanted him to give in and go wild soon enough, but for now, you enjoyed his commitment to going slow, moaning lowly and savoring the lovely friction of his cock dragging inside your channel.
"You're so⊠you're amazing," he sighed, eyes glued to the sight of his cock sliding in and out of youâ until he looked up at your face with so many emotions in his expression. "You're beautiful."
You smiled a bit, reaching up to grab onto his shoulder and squeeze it. "You're sweet," you returned. "And pretty."
You twirled a strand of his hair around your finger, watching him stutter and blink quickly. You wouldn't tease him so much if he wasn't so cute when you did it.
"You don't need to be so romantic about it, honey," you purred, "fuck me like you really mean it."
For a moment, you worried that he didn't have it in him to really give it to himâ but then he grabbed under your knees and pushed them up to your chest. When he thrusted into you again, it forced you to gasp and throw your head back.
"Fuck," you groaned, "good boy."
He gasped and sped up, the curve of his cock pushing right into the deepest places that made your eyes roll back.
"So good," you praised as you clutched the expensive silk sheets beneath you.
"Yeah?" he panted. "You like thisâ" he choked on his own throat for a half secondâ "big cock?"
It was obvious that he wasn't the best at dirty talkâ maybe he was usually more comfortable but he was just too nervous nowâ and you smiled proudly as you nodded. "Mhm," you answered while you bit down on your lip.
He held onto your legs a little tighter so he could thrust faster, and you were starting to feel this numbness overtake you from the inside out. It was pleasant, and subtle; part of it was the glass of bourbon, certainly, but the swirling inside your mind was way better than any drunkenness. You couldnât decide between letting your eyes fall shut like your body longed to, and keeping them open to watch Eddieâs face as he focused all his energy into fucking you. Â
You moaned louder and gripped the sheets tighter as pleasure started to gather, building more and more each time his movements stroked over your spot. âIs this how you imagined it?â you asked with a soft laugh, making him look up at your face again. âWhen you were⊠looking at my poster?â
He smiled a bit. âNot exactly.â
âWhy donât you show me what you thought about?â you suggested.
Quickly, he let go of the backs of your legs and instead guided them to wrap around his waist, leaning down over you and holding your hip steady so you had to take him as deep as he could go; you moaned lowly as he sped up, significantly. Finally, he wasnât holding back so much. âLike this,â he breathed. âI mean, there were other waysâ a lot of other waysâ I thought about fucking you but⊠I want it like this.â
You purred and held onto his back, feeling his muscles move under his skin as he rocked his hips. âHowever you want it,â you reminded him with a sultry whisperâ not because it was true, but because it made him shudder and twitch inside you; it was a reminder to you both that you were still completely in charge.
âY-you said something before about⊠biting? When youâre asked nicely?â he recalled, and you smiled.
âYeah? I meant it. Just gotta ask, baby,â you assured.
He whimpered a little, seeming to be gathering some courage before he did it. âCould you please, um⊠bite me? Right hereâŠâ
He pointed to the side of his neck and you pulled him down by his hair to latch your lips and teeth onto him.
âFuck,â he moaned, fucking you deeper in response. You groaned against his skin and bit down just a bit harder, sucking on the delicate skin as he gasped and panted from the pain.
You moved up a little higher and nipped at him again, even catching the hard line of his jaw between his teeth and feeling the slight roughness of incoming stubble against your lips. âThere,â you announced proudly as you fell back onto the bed. âAw, itâs already coming inâŠâ
He sighed as you traced the shape of the little bruise developing in the shape of your teeth.
âShould leave a nice mark,â you cooed, âbut your friends still arenât gonna believe you.â
âI know,â he laughed, âI still canât believe this is happening, and Iâm here.â
You yanked him down to kiss you again, sloppy and needyâ just like the way he drove his hips forward, sliding his cock against your soaked and sticky walls.
Your gasp pulled the air out of his mouth when he shifted just right and slammed his thick head into your spot; your legs wrapped around him tightly in a moment, keeping him where you wanted him.
"Fuck, that's good," you grunted, "harder, pretty boyâ fuck me just like that, god!"
He whined but did as he was told, holding onto your hips and fucking you even more roughly.
âYeah, right there,â you panted as your back arched, âfuck, Eddie, youâre doing so good for meâŠâ
A panting whine of your name right by your ear made you smile even as you were starting to lose your focus on everythingâ the pleasure was building even faster than you expected, probably because he was just so damn cute.
âIâm so close, baby,â you groaned, âdonât stopââ
âWonât stop,â he shook his head as he assured you, ânever gonna stop, I swearâ I want you to come.â
âI will justâ ah, Eddie, babyâ just keep fucking me like this.â
He whimpered slightly and kissed your neck, searching for the most sensitive place so he could drive you even more wild⊠but he only really did that when he reached down between the two of you to rub his thumb on your clit.
âOh!â you yelped, giggling slightly though you struggled to catch your breath enough for it. You started to clench down on him harder and harder, and just a few seconds of his calloused fingertip gyrating your bud around was enough to push you over the edge. âFuck!â you shouted as your eyes shut tight, legs shaking as they clamped down on his, back arching deeper as everything seemed to seize up and relax in your body all at once.
It was sharp and sudden, but it faded in a few moments into that perfect after-feeling, a smile crossing your face lazily as that numbness finally won; your pussy was still gripping him tight as you came down from it, literally quivering as he kept thrusting right over the same spot (that was now more sensitive and swollen than ever). "Shit," he grunted, "I can feel it when youâ fuckâŠ"
âDoes it feel good?â you pressed, voice a bit hoarse. âWhen I come all over your cock?â
âY-yes, fuck, yes,â he sighed in agreement, jackhammering his hips into yours at record speed and recklessness.
âGod, mâgonnaâ fuck, gâna come,â he choked out, and you smiled up at him.
âGo ahead, baby,â you encouraged, âwanna see itâ I wanna see you come for me, babyââ
âFuck!â he yelped, giving you a few more erratic thrusts before he hissed and pulled outâ his mouth was open wide for each moan to pass through as he spilled onto you, still rocking his hips and rubbing his cock on your swollen clit. The first few pumps shot up to your chest and you smiled; after that, it just dribbled down into a warm, sticky puddle.
His shoulders sunk and he fluttered his eyes shut when he finished. âAw, look, you made a mess,â you purred. âWhy donât you be a good boy and clean that up?â
âUhââ he panted, starting to reach for his discarded shirt.
âNo,â you stopped him, and he met your gaze with wide, wet eyes; poor baby. âNot like that. Lick it up.â
âO-ohâŠâ he sighed, cheeks flushing brighter as he bent down and closed his eyes at the same time he stuck his tongue out; you sighed happily as you watched him lap up his own orgasm off your stomach.
âHow is it?â you asked teasingly, petting his head as he gulped it down and looked up at you; each lick tickled your skin and you bit your lip.
âSâgood,â he blurted out, licking one long stripe up from your belly button and between your tits to gather the last few drops that had made it that far.
âThen gimme a taste,â you cooed as you sat up slightly, pulling him into a messy kiss as you held onto his shoulders. He hummed into it, holding onto your hips againâ and when you finally let him go, he broke away and pulled out with a wince.
âJesus,â he breathed as he laid on his back beside you; he blinked up at the ceiling dreamily before he glanced at you again.
He surprised you by leaning onto his side and pulling you into a kissâ much more soft and sweet than you expected in a time like this, but not unappreciated. Reaching up, you gently brushed his hair back out of his face, feeling him smile against you a bit.
For a second, he leaned further towards you when you pulled away, and you raised an eyebrow at him as he blushed. âI like kissing you,â he admitted quietly.
âI need another drink,â you repliedâ but when you tried to get up, he held you by your wrist and pulled you back down into him, pulling your head to his chest and kissing the top of it.
âDonât go yet,â he cooed, and you laughed as you gave in and wrapped your arms around him.
âCuddling isnât usually a big part of the groupie experience,â you informed him, but he just held you tighter.
âAm I your groupie?â he wondered.
âIs there another word for it?â you raised an eyebrow.
âHmm,â he considered that as he leaned down further to kiss your cheek, then your neck, âhow about⊠boyfriend?â
You laughed. âThatâs funnyâ youâre funny.â
âWhy not?â he cooed. âI could take you to a movie, show you for myself all that trouble us Indiana boys get up to.â
You purred as he licked and sucked on your neck a bit harder, tightening your grip on his arms. âThat does sound nice. Nobodyâs taken me out on a proper, normal date in yearsâ itâs all private jets and VIP tours and imported wineââ
âDonât have to worry about that with me, babe,â he grinned, pulling back up to look down at you as he cradled your cheek in his hand. âWith me youâll get to experience all those trailer park joys: beer in cans, a rusty van that needs new brake pads, fooling around under the stars on a blanket by the lakeâŠâ
âSounds like a good way to get some unfortunate paparazzi pictures in the magazines tomorrow,â you noticed.
âEven better,â he decided, âthatâs the only way anyoneâs ever gonna buy my story.â
âYeah? And what story is that?â you asked. âWhat do you plan on telling your friends?â
âThat I met this⊠amazing woman,â he breathed, looking at your face carefully, âwhoâs beautiful and talented and sexyâ and, for some unknowable reason, she took pity on me and let me make love to her.â
You smirked.
âAnd hopefully Iâll tell them all this over the phone from some hotel by your next stop,â he winked. âIâm still hoping I impressed you enough to hop a ride with you for the rest of the tour.â
âMm, you were good, but I donât know about kidnap-some-farm-boy-and-take-him-everywhere good,â you teased.
He didnât seem too hurt, but you knew it wasnât what he wanted to hear. âThen I guess youâll have to give me another chance to try.â
âOh, I will: I want you to fuck me again,â you decided.
âWhen?â he smiled.
âRight now.â
You pushed him down by his shoulders, pinning him to the bed. âOhâ fuck,â he choked.
âYou can, right? Youâre young.â
âY-yeah, butââ
He stopped and gasped as you hopped up to straddle his lap, leaning one hand against the wall by the head of the bed while the other grabbed his cockâ which, yes, was still hardâ and guided it to your opening again.
âChrist, Iââ he began, but he gave up and dropped his head back when you sank down onto him. âFuck, youâreâ oh my godâŠâ
âShould be nice and easy, right?â you smiled as you started to ride him. âYour cock stretched me out sâgood, am I all loose for you now?â
âN-no,â he shook his head, âno, youâre still⊠really tightâŠâ
You fought against the urge to smirk and just gave him a condescending pout. âOh, itâs not too much, is it? You want me to stop?â
âNo,â he repeated, more desperate than ever, âdonât stopâ please? PleaseâŠâ
The poor boy was so drunk on pussy he seemed actually concerned that you would stopâ as if you werenât riding him fast and desperate already.
"S-so wet," he grunted, holding your hips and looking down at where your pussy was sliding up and down along his length. "So fuckin' wet, you're drippin' on meâŠ"
There was this delicious, filthy noise every time your hips met his, and strings of arousal pulled between his skin and yours for a moment; he couldn't stop watching it, he couldn't tear his eyes away from the perfectly depraved sight. "How's it look?" you asked with a taunting laugh. "You like watching my pussy take all that dick, Eddie?"
He whimpered as he bit his lip and nodded.
"It's so deep," you purred, "s'gotta be at least to here."
You moved one of his hands from your hips and pressed his fingers right near your belly buttonâ and then his eyes were on that, you could almost see him picturing his cock filling you that far inside. âGod,â he moaned loudly, head falling backward, and you smiled down at him.
Riding him gave you a better view of his tattoos, which you traced lazily with one finger while you bounced. Your legs were especially weak after your first orgasm, making them start to shake as you lifted yourself repeatedly; but you were also still extra sensitive inside, and you knew you were going to come even faster the second time around. It didnât help that he was so deep your throat had to catch each timeâ it also didnât help that he looked like that, wrecked and helpless under you, clearly overwhelmed but too desperate to try to make you stop.
âBaby, baby, baby,â he chanted quietly as you moved faster. âFuck!â
You just laughed, though you had to hiss in your next breath through your teeth when you rocked your hips back and it felt just rightâ you kept doing it over and over, feeling your gut seize up as the sensation mounted.
âOhh my god, youâre so good, so good,â he rambled mindlessly, grabbing hold of your hips tighter than ever and guiding you just how he wanted. It was best when he just stopped trying to impress you and gave in to his natural neediness; when he bit his lip and thrusted up off the bed and just used you.
âHarder,â you panted, and he grunted from the physical exertion required to do what youâd asked him to. The tip of his cock slammed so deep that your moans turned into high-pitched cries, just as sharp and reverberating as the pleasure you were feeling. âFuck me, Eddie, oh my god!â
He sighed loudly and bit down on his lip, glaring at you with flared nostrils and dark eyes as he fucked you; before your eyes fell shut from the overwhelming feeling, you caught him watching the way your tits bounced quickly with each rapid thrust.
You were teetering on the edge, adoring every pathetic sound he made, when he managed to string a few words together for you.
"Sh-shit, get off," he pleaded, "I can'tâ I'll come."
"I'm close too," you sighed, "just a little moreâ just need a little more, Eddie, m'not gonna stop yet."
"Fuck," he sobbed, "pleaseâ just get up before I come, fuckfuckfuckâ"
You smiled proudly, looking down at his face all twisted up as he tried to hold himself back. "It's okay, Eddie," you cooed, "you can come in me. If you want."
He grabbed you at your waist and flipped you onto your back in an instant, fucking into you so fast and desperate that your eyes rolled back. "Shoulda told me," he explained breathlessly against your ear, hair tickling your face. "I didn't know I couldâ fuck, m'gonna come so deep inside youâ you're sure it's okay?"
"Yeah, I want you to," you promised, barely able to speak as your own peak hit you, and that was all he needed to let out a noise that was somehow halfway between a roar and a sob; you felt it a second later, his cock pulsing against your walls, his hips still shakily and shallowly thrusting as he dropped his head on your shoulder.
"Ohhhâ oh my god," he gasped. "Fuck. Fuck!"
You laughed as you watched him try to compose himself, panting like he'd just run miles. He lifted his whole upper body up and dropped his head back with another sighâ and damn, with that dim yellow light hitting the side of his face, with that thin sheen of sweat making hair stick to his forehead and cheeks and making his chest glisten as he took more deep, quick breaths? He looked too fucking perfect.
"Thatâ fuck. That was intense," he finally got out with a tired smile, collapsing beside you.
"Yeah," you agreed, reaching up to pat his chest. "Good job, kid."
You were about to pull your hand away but he grabbed it first, holding it tightly. You waited a while for him to say something, but he didn't.
Eventually, he let you get up and pour yourself your drink; you slipped on a robe, too, and came back to find him smoking another cigarette as he laid on the bed. Â
You sat down next to him, watching him take each drag as you sipped from your glass. For some reason, you sat there and watched him smoke through the whole thing, until he put it out in your ashtray and interlaced his fingers under the back of his head.
âGetting late, do you need to head home soon?â you wondered; you werenât necessarily trying to kick him out with that question, but he was certainly free to go now that your fun had been had.
He shook his head as he sat up on the bed. âNo oneâs gonna care if I miss first period tomorrow,â he promised.
Youâd never felt an emotion quite like the one that hit your chest thenâ you figured he just had some mediocre job he could ditch, but realizing he was still in high school changed your perception completely. You didnât even notice how much you were really considering taking him with you until you knew, in that exact moment, that you couldnât; though no one would accuse you of being any sort of role model, you drew the line at stealing this kid away before he could graduate.
âNo oneâs gonna care at all if I never come back,â he added with a soft, hollow laugh.
"Oh, baby," you sighed, reaching forward to pat him on the leg. "Stay in school."
"You're not gonna take me with you, are you?" he realized.
"Not that I don't want to. I'd just feel too bad."
"Don't feel bad about it! There's nothing here for me anyways! You're, like, my perfect chance to escape."
You leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek, and he sighed.
âI shouldâve known you werenât serious,â he laughed, looking down with sad eyes. âAll of this was too good to be true anyways.â
You pet his head gently and rested your head on his shoulder. âIâll be back, you know,â you offered quietly, running your fingers over his cheek before brushing your thumb softly over his lip. âWe make another album, we do another tourâ and weâll stop somewhere in Indiana. Maybe I can see you again?â
He looked at you again, nearly breaking your heart with the look in his eyes. The lost puppy gaze had been what attracted you to him at first, now it was killing you. âYeah, maybe. How long do you think itâll be âtil then?â
âYear and a half, two years?â you shrugged.
He snorted; âThatâs about how long it took me to save up for this ticket,â he recalled.
âNext ticketâs on me,â you offered. âFront row, with backstage passes. Like a true groupie.â
âCan I have your number?â he asked insteadâ not really what you expected him to say. Â
âI donât stay in one place long enough to have one of those,â you shrugged. âGimme yours.â
He hesitated. âAre you gonna call?â he pressed.
Instead of answering his question, you set your glass down and held his face with both hands so you could kiss him, properly. Honestly, you couldnât think of the last time youâd kissed somebody like that. And you knew you wouldnât again for a long time, if at all.
âPromise youâre gonna remember me,â he whispered against your lips. You smiled back. âI know you have a million fans like me, a million guys who would do anything for youâ and Iâm just one stupid kid from Indianaââ
âI couldnât forget you, Eddie,â you insisted, and he made you giggle by wrapping his arms around you tightly.
âIâll let you go soon,â he assured, as he pulled you back into bed with him, âjust not yet. Need to hold you a little longer.â
Theyâre not usually so greedy⊠theyâre just grateful, you thought, but he was both. âYou donât need to let me go soon,â you offered as you shut your eyes and rested your head on his chest. âYou just need to get home in time for school tomorrow.â
He smiled. âDeal.â
a/n: if i miss anything let me know! i donât expect this to get any reads. itâs been a minute since iâve had inspiration to write. gif not mine!
The news that spread around town was something you refused to believe. Something felt off about everything. Given everything you have experienced with your brother and his friends you knew the deaths they described were not something of this world. You were at Starcourt with your siblings that night. It wasnât the best thing to go through after graduating high school. You shouldâve gone to college further away. However, something urged you to stay behind a little longer. This all leads up to where you are right now, in Reefer Rickâs boathouse getting Eddie to calm down, after telling us what happened. You reached over and gave his hand a gentle squeeze. In return he held your hand. Robin looked at your hands then looked at you with a questioning look. Eddie has been a dear friend of yours since you were kids. He took care of you, and you took care of him.
âJust because you ran doesnât make you a coward Edsâ you whispered to him.
âI didnât know what to doâ his tone just as broken as he looked right now. All you could do was pull him into a hug, running your fingers through his curls as he held onto you for dear life. He played with the ends of your braids to keep his hands busy.
âYou guys go and Iâll stay with him for a while.â You told the others.
âI canât let you stay here angelâ Eddie told you before anyone could say something.
âHeâs right, what if someone finds the both of you here?â Steve voiced.
âWe can bring him some food later and you can stay longerâ Robin suggested. You could only nod in response and hold Eddie a bit tighter. Everyone left the boathouse giving the two of you some time. Pulling apart from the hug you rested your forehead against his.
âI hate that I canât stay with youâ you admitted softly. âAll the shit I went through with these guys, and it continues to happen.â You continued.
âIs it true you spit in the Russian dudeâs face?â Eddie questions with a small smile pulling away to look at your face.
âAbsolutely, I donât like being manhandled⊠without consentâ you added sending him a wink before standing up. His jaw dropped, you say things like this around him often hoping he would pick up on the hint that you want him to manhandle you consensually.
âIâll see you later angelâ he said after shaking what you said from his immediate thoughts.
âSee you later bubsâ you kissed his cheek before exiting the boathouse. With a small smile on your face closing the door tight to make it look like it has been unbothered. You made your way back to the group.
âAll good now sparkles?â Robin asked  pulling you into a side hug. Robin has become your closest friend since you visited Scoops often, and after the events of last summer you became closer than ever.
âAll good nuggetâ you confirm returning the gesture.
~little hop, skip, and a jump to preparing to go to the Upside Down~
As your siblings sat together making the spears you stood not too far from them practicing with the bow and arrow you picked up. You were good at archery, and you knew it could come in handy with the bats.
âWell, even though youâre a bench-riding  loser, but youâre still my brother. Just the factsâ Erica tells Lucas.
âThatâs the truth!â you chimed in causing them to laugh. You glance over at Eddie and Dustin goofing off and it warmed your heart. You head over to them asking Dustin could you steal Eddie for a moment.
âHey angelâ he greeted you with his pretty smile.
âHi bubsâ you smiled back at him before pulling him into a tight hug. He squeezed you back.
âWhatâs on your mind sweetheart?â he felt you shrug at his question. âI know youâre lying. Whatâs going on in that brain of yours?â he asks again.
âYou do know Iâd follow you to Mordor, right? All the way to Mount Doom, until the eagles come and rescue us.â the words rushed out your mouth as you looked up into his eyes.
âYouâd come with me even if I ask you to stay behind?â he understood every word regardless of how fast you said them. When you get nervous or stressed you talk at a rapid pace he learned to keep up with it.
âIâd follow you anywhere Eds, no way in hell Iâm letting you go anywhere aloneâ you replied. You looked up into his beautiful brown eyes. As he still held you close you admired his face. âYouâre pretty bubsâ you whispered to him.
âYouâre stunning sweetheartâ he whispered back.
âI love youâ this wasnât the first time you said this to Eddie, however the meaning behind it this time was different.
âI know angel. I love you tooâ He assured you kissing your forehead.
âEdward Munson, I love you, as in I am in love with you. Now is a shit time to say it but, with what Iâve seen and been through already. I canât go any longer without you knowing.â You explained. The curly haired metalhead was stunned, he knew that he was in love with you when you started your freshman year, and he was in his sophomore year. You changed a lot through the summer between your eighth grade and start of high school. The moment he realized it is when you stood up to a senior who was harassing one of the girls in your grade. You are one of the bravest people he has the pleasure of knowing. In response to your admission, he cupped your face gently and pressed a kiss to your lips. Not aware of the entire group watching.
âFucking finallyâ Robin yells, and Nancy nods in agreement.
âThey werenât together already?â Steve asks. Dustin and Max are cheering.
âGrossâ Erica imitates gagging.
âPlease stopâ you hear Lucas request.
âI love you tooâ Eddie says pulling away from you.
âGreat now that you two weirdos have finally admitted your feelings. Be productive.â Erica comments, you couldnât help but laugh. She was convinced for a couple years that you were already dating Eddie. What better way to admit loving someone that you love them when the world is going to shits right? You spent too long hiding your feelings and with not knowing what could happen now is a better time than ever.
~a few hours later~
âNobody deviates from the plan no matter what, got it?â Nancy asks at the end of going over the plan. All equipped with your weapons heading to the gate in Eddieâs trailer. Eddie holding your hand as you stood between him and Dustin. Your thoughts are not only on what will happen as you step through that gate but on your siblings and Max. You can be an affectionate person when you want to be and today made you one. Hugging your siblings tight just in case it was your last time.
-Earlier-
âPlease donât dieâ Lucas whispers to you as you and your siblings huddled together.
âYou two donât die. You both have so much to live for, mom and dad will be okay without me. You two will as well if anything happens to meâ you tell them seriously.
âWhat makes you think we would be okay?â Erica asks you incredulously.
âThe two of you would have each other. I want you to remember that always if Iâm not around. Youâll move forward, obliviously not right away but eventuallyâ you answer her solemnly.
âIf you donât come back, I will let Erica beat your assâ Lucas says seriously.
âIâll do itâ she confirms. You laugh softly pulling them both into a tight hug. They hugged you back tighter.
âI love you both so much. Iâm glad to be your sisterâ you remind them. They pulled away from the hug and the three of you sat in silence holding their hands.
~present~
âIf things here start to go south, I mean, at all you abort. Okay? Draw the attention of the bats. Keep âem busy for a minute or two. Weâll take care of Vecna. Donât try to be cute or be a hero or something.â Steve says to Dustin and Eddie. Though you were standing with them he didnât address you about being a hero. Steve knew you would do anything for the group and he trusted you to keep them safe.
âDonât worry you can be the hero Steveâ Dustin says. You walked away from his side and went to give Nancy and Robin a hug.
âBe safe my nugget and curly fryâ you tell them giving them a squeeze.
âAbsolutely, I mean look at us, we are not heroes.â You heard Eddie say to Steve. As the trio began to walk away, he stepped forward. âHey Steve, make him payâ Â they give each other a nod of assurance. You stayed outside as Eddie and Dustin went into the trailer. Readying your bow and arrow just in case. The guys came out the trailer, Eddie with his guitar with him. You head to the top of the trailer after they climb up. Robinâs voice comes over the walkie signaling itâs time for the distraction.
âChrissy, this is for youâ Eddie says before he starts playing Master of Puppets by Metallica. The demobats are now heading in your direction.
âEddie! We gotta lock down in t-minus 30 seconds!â Dustin yells. He continues to yell every ten seconds. âOne!â he yells and you all jump down from the trailer rushing inside the trailer locking it up. âMost metal ever!â he yells and they both get excited. You have your bow ready, not yelling with them.
âTheyâre on the roofâ you yell to them. You heard them let out a string of shits.
âThey canât get in through there can they?â Dustin asks Eddie. A bat comes in the vent before he can answer one pops through. They begin stabbing it with their spears and Eddie covers it with the trash can lid shields they made.
âEddie the vent in your room!â you yelled running towards the back of the trailer. Itâs too late though they bust through the vent. You run back into the living room. âDustin get your ass back through that gate now!â you yell to the teen you refuse to let die. You take his spear and throw it at the bats. Dustin tried to protest but you cut him off, âNow!â he nods frantically heading back up the sheets tied together. Eddie looks at you expectantly. âStart climbing Eds. Iâm right behind youâ he hesitates for a moment but climbs up the sheets. You looked up at the two of them and they look back at you. Dustin immediately understanding what has gone through your head. He saw the look in your eyes before.
âDonât fucking do it!â Dustin yells at you.
âDustin Iâm glad you have been in my life. You are an amazing kid. Tell my siblings I love them.â You tell him pulling the knife strapped to your thigh and cut the sheets. Eddie screams your name. You can hear how broken it sounds and it hurts your heart. âEdward Munson, Iâm glad that I had the honor of loving someone as extraordinary and kindhearted as you are. I love you and take care of them pleaseâ you looked at him for what you fear is your last time. As you readied your bow you gave them one last look before running out the trailer. They screamed for you. Hoping you would turn around.
âCome and get me bitchesâ you yell running away from the trailer. Once you felt you were far enough you began to let your arrows fly. What you didnât know is that Eddie and Dustin came back through the gate. Eddie went first and put the mattress down for Dustin. They ran out the trailer to see you standing in the swarm of bats. Your braids that you threw in a ponytail blowing through the wind, not once did you back down. A few of the bats attacked you, gaining a few bites. You kept fighting, then the bats dropped to the ground. So did you. Eddie screamed for you running to your body. Dustin not too far behind dropping to his knees next you Eddie. Your abdomen was bleeding, your face was caked with some dirt and blood.
âHi guysâ you wheezed out looking at them and smiled softly. âThought I told you to goâ you chuckled out.
âAngel now isnât the time to laugh. We gotta get you to a hospitalâ Eddie says through tears. Dustin says your name tears forming in his eyes.
âTake care of them for me Dustyâ you say to the curly haired teen you have grown to love like your own little brother through the years. âNext time you talk to Suzie, tell her I said helloâ you tell him holding his hand.
âYouâre going to tell her yourself. Weâre taking you homeâ he replies a sob wracking his body.
âHoney look at meâŠâ youâre now addressing Eddie, the beautiful brown eyes youâve loved since you were kids looked into yours. âI love you. Remember that for me and walk that fucking stage. Itâs your year babyâ you lift you hand to touch his cheek. It made him cry some more, before he can reply he felt your hand drop from his face. Your body grew heavy in his lap. The painful sob that he let out made Dustin sob harder.
âWe have to get her homeâ Eddie says, âShe doesnât deserve to be left here.â He continued. Dustin agreed. Eddie picked up your body and carried you back to his trailer. Neither of them noticing your slow breathing. Getting you through the gate wasnât easy but they did it for you. For Erica and Lucas, you deserved that much and so did they. They were still determined to get you to a hospital, so they called an ambulance from Maxâs trailer and Eddie hid. What they didnât know was that at the time you were getting wheeled in on a gurney, Max was as well.
~ two days later~
By some miracle Eddieâs name was in the process of being cleared. Proving that Hellfire Club is just a club for nerds to play a fantasy board game and not a satanic cult. He sat at your bedside  almost refusing to leave until Wayne forced him to go get some rest. When he did rest Wayne sat by your side holding your hand.
âCome on kiddo we need you here. He needs you hereâ Wayne says giving your hand a squeeze and a few seconds later you squeezed his back lightly. Your eyes fluttered open, and you glanced over a Wayne with a smile on your face once more. Your siblings didnât know you were in the hospital. Until today, they caught site of Eddie entering your room.
âEddie!â Lucas yells getting his attention. Eddie turned to your siblings walking away from your door meeting them halfway in the hallway. âWho are you here seeing? Have you seen our sister?â he asked.
âIâm here seeing your sister. We dragged her back through the gate thinking she was dead. Turns out we got her here in time.â Eddie rambles to the Sinclair kids. At the mention of their sister the two ran past him and into the room they saw him getting ready to enter. They were met with you laughing with a man they have never met before. You paused in your conversation.
âHey guys, I see you didnât die.â You joked as the two of them rushed into your arms. You winced at the impact but not for them to notice. âThis is Mr. Munson, Eddieâs uncle. Wayne this is Lucas and Erica.â You introduced them. Looking up at the doorway you see your favorite person in the world and couldnât help but smile brightly. Motioning him over to you he made his way to stand by his uncle.
âCan I have a moment with her? Iâll let you guys have all her time afterwardsâ Eddie asks. They nodded stepping out into the hallway.
âWeâre going back to Maxâs roomâ Lucas announced heading out the door.
âWeâll be back laterâ Erica says after.
âIâm going to help in any way I can.â Wayne says after your siblings left. Eddie sat down in the chair his uncle once occupied and held your hand. His eyes glassy from the tears that formed.
You cupped his cheek rubbing it softly.
âHi my sweet babyâ you whispered trying to avoid crying.
âHi my angelâ he whispers reaching up to hold your face softly.
âI told you, I would follow you to Mordorâ your voice cracked as tears threatened to fall. Eddie launched himself out the chair to just hug you tight. He knew that if it wasnât you to make a crazy hero decision it probably wouldâve been him. He was forever grateful to have you in his life and he let you know all of this as well. He swore up and down that once youâre released the two of you are getting married.
âUGGHHHHHHHH THIS SUCKS!â
Mike screamed as he paced around his basement while his friends sat and watched intently.
âWell man what are you gonna do about it?â Lucas said casually before taking a sip of his drink.
âWhat am I going to do about it? What do you mean what am I going to do about it? I canât do anything about it, itâs the chief! He's a crazy dude.â
Mike sat on the floor next to the table sighing in defeat.
âCome on Mike, it's not that bad. You guys can still be friends?â Will said as he laid a hand on Mike's shoulder.
âI donât want to be friends ``. I wanna be able to hangout with her outside of the group you know? Alone?â
His friends looked at one another. Pondering ways they could help their friend.
âI meanâŠhe didnât say she couldnât date foreverâŠright?â Dustin began to stand from the couch and started some pacing of his own.
âEleven canât date until her oldest sister does, you know this. And as much as we all love y/n. Nobody is going to date her man. If I think the chief is crazy I donât even know how to begin describing herâ Mike slumped his shoulders further in defeat.
âUnlessâŠ.â Dustin paced back to where the boys were and stopped rather abruptly.
âUnless we can convince someone to go out with y/n?â
The room erupted in laughter from all the boys in the room. Lucas nearly dropped his drink as he doubled over in laughter.
âCome on man. We love y/n and so many guys would be falling at her feet but you know nobodyâs gonna take that chance. Not when they think sheâs gonna bite their head off.â
Lucas said as he wiped the tears that had fallen down his face from laughter.
âNo guys Dustin might have a point. I mean youâre telling me not a single guy in this town would be willing to ask y/n on a date? Thereâs gotta be at least oneâ
The boys began discussing possible options of people who would possibly consider going out with you. But to no avail.
The next day the party heads to school and in the morning they scan across the campus looking for possible prospects. They have one boy in mind who is walking across the parking lot until the boys see you driving through in your impala. Rock music on full blast as you almost hit the boy with your car and continue speeding to your spot as you shout expletives at the boy for taking so long to cross. Heâs quickly crossed off the list.
The boys stand there feeling hopeless as Lucas examines his basketball teammate flirting with your younger sister Kay. Thatâs when Lucas was struck by a brilliant idea.
âGuysâŠGUYS!â The party turns all of their attention to Lucas.
âYou guys see Jason over there right. Talking to Y/nâs younger sister Kay?â
âYeah, what about it?â Mike was obviously giving him attitude because he didnât see how this would relate to his problem.
âWellllll Jason canât hook up with Kay because Y/n is the oldest and sheâs not dating right?â
âLucas I swear Jason is not going to go for Y/nâ Will was clearly lost and so was most of the group.
âNO MAN Iâm saying. Jasonâs popular right? Got a lot of money right? It would be much easier to convince someone to go out with Y/n if we had someone willing to pay for itâ
Mike finally understood where Lucas was going with this but he was still skeptical.
âAnd why on earth would Jason Carver put that much effort into going out with Kay? He can get almost any girl in Hawkins. Why would he shell out cash for her?â
Lucas directed the boy's attention back to Jason and the way he was leaning on your younger sister and touching her a lot. It was obvious to anyone around that Jason wanted her. Something that irked you beyond belief.
As the boys continued throughout their day finally reaching lunch and approaching their usual seats at the hellfire table. Upon approaching Dustin saw the hellfire club leader. Doing his normal theatrics of scaring any nearby students. Dustin stopped in his tracks and the boys all looked at him.
âBOOMâ Dustin completely dropped his lunch tray and walked out of the cafeteria without another word and the boys chased after him.
âWhat the hell was that Dustin?â Will was very clearly angry at Dustin for making a scene.
âThatâs it you guys the answer itâs been right in front of usâ
âWhat the hell are you talking about Dustin?â
âDo I have to explain everything to you people?â
Dustin looked around the group to see all the boys clueless as to what he could possibly mean.
âEDDIE! I'M TALKING ABOUT EDDIE! Heâd be the perfect guy to go out with y/n. I mean look at him. Who else would be crazy enough to go out with herâ
The boys turned and looked through the window of the cafeteria and saw Eddie yelling in Garreth and Jeffâs face. They had to agree that Dustin had a point. If there was one person who stood a chance of handling dating you? It would be Eddie.
âAnd that class is why taming of the shrew is one of William Shakespeare's more famous piecesâ
You raised your hand quickly but didnât wait for a response before you began speaking.
Ms OâDonnel exhaled deeply. Already on the verge of kicking you out merely for your presence.
âI just think we could be focusing on more important pieces of literature other than sappy romance. I mean even Shakespeare has other stories that revolve around other things. Like hamlet we could read hamletâ
A snicker was heard from behind you and you turned to face Jason carver.
âWell of course a shrew wouldnât want to read a story that hits oh so close to home right?â
He earned himself a couple chuckles and high fives from his friends and you rolled your eyes.
âAt least I know how to read Carver. Or would you like to try reading that paragraph again? Think you can do it in under 10 minutes this time?â
The class oooâs and awed at your bravery for standing up to Jason. Jason was about to bite back when the door to the classroom swung open and the metal head himself walked in.
âSo whatâd I miss?â Eddie said as he stood near the door not taking a seat.
âOh just the class focusing on the oppression of women and the patriarchal pyramid of women only being valued as romantic propertyâ you didnât bother to turn and look at him.
âSounds greatâ is all Eddie Munson said as he turned and walked back out of the door. Clearly heâd had enough of the lesson for today as Ms OâDonnell called after him to come back but to no avail.
âYou know Ms OâDonnell I think y/n actually makes a really good point now that I think about it. I think y/n would be more accustomed to stories like The Scarlet Letterâ
âThatâs enough Mr Carver. You know one of these days one of these young ladies is going to slap you and Iâm not going to do a single thing to stop itâ
You have a chuckle at her words but your chuckle quickly ceased as she turned her attention back to you.
âAnd as for you Ms y/l/n. You can take yourself up to the office. Iâve had enough out of you todayâ
You scoffed and grabbed your bag and left the room. Making your way up to your usual chair waiting outside the counselors office.
âMs Hopper, please come in. Take a seatâ Ms Kelley said without bothering to look at you as she continued writing in her notebook. Once you finally take a seat, she shuts the notebook and turns her attention to you.
âSo I heard you were being a disruption to Ms OâDonnellâs class again?â
âI wouldnât call it disrupting. I was simply voicing my opinions on the subject matter at hand.â
âWell you voicing your opinions every chance you get is why most of the student body refers to you asâŠâ
âTempestuous?â
âHeinous bitch. Is what I was going for actually. But sure. Just try to take it down a notch okay? Now get back to class.â
The words didnât shock you at all. Nothing you hadnât heard before and surely you would hear it again. So you made your way out of the office.
At the end of the day as you walk to your truck with your friends Nancy and Robin by your side a red car pulls up beside you.
âMove it or lose it, Hopper. Youâre fat Ass is blocking the roadâ
âMaybe if your eyes werenât so focused on my ass, Carver, you would see thereâs an entire parking lot for you to drive in. Now run along Cretinâ you shoo him away with your hands and continue into your car. Taking notice of your younger sister Kay and her friend Heather getting into Jasonâs car.
***
As you sit on the couch doing homework you hear Hopper make his way inside and set his hat on the table. He strides over to the couch and leans over examining the homework you're doing.
âGot another call from the counselor today. Make anyone cry?â
âSadly noâŠ.but the day is still youngâ you turn around and give him a wide smile that he returns as he pats your shoulder. As heâs going through the mail he holds up a letter from Indiana State University?.
âUhhhh y/n? Whatâs this? It says Indiana State University?â
You hop up immediately, abandoning the homework without a second thought. Ripping open the envelope and screaming loudly upon reading your acceptance.
âI GOT IN!!! I GOT INTO COLLEGE OH MY GOD!!!â
Eleven and Kay congratulate you but Hopper looks irritated.
âWell thatâs great honey but I thought we talked about something closer to home like Hawkins community? Getting into that teaching career we talked about?â
âUhhhh no that was always what you talked about. I wanted to study journalism with a minor in filmâ
âWe discussed Hawkins community college and teaching as a safer, more stable career!â
âNo, you discussed it. I never said I wanted any of that!â
Kay chirps in. âJust think about it dad. Once she goes to university anymore sheâll be their problem and not ours.â She says in an all too cheerful voice. You shoot her a quick death stare before you pull the card from your sleeve.
âSo Kay was that Jason Carver I saw driving you home today?â
Hopper immediately turns his anger from you to Kay.
âExcuse me? Who is Jason Carver and why is he driving you home?â
Kay turns to you and looks extremely upset as she sputters the words to her father.
âDad heâs this guy from school and I donât know I think he might-â
âDonât even finish that. I know exactly what you think. You already know the rules Kay. No datingâ
âBut dad heâs-â
âNo. And if you argue with me again Iâll go arrest whoever this boy is just to teach you and him a lessonâ
Kay sits down on the couch where you are now back doing your homework. Hopper sits on the coffee table in front of you. And El decided to join.
âNow listen. Iâve been a cop for many years now and Iâve seen a lot of stuff. You girls donât need to be dating and especially not in highschool. You donât want to end up as some cracked out bimbo on the streets or some teen mom. No dating until Y/n does. Thatâs the rule we agreed upon.â
Eleven chirps in. âWe are not stupidâ
âI know you girls arenât stupidâ
Eleven is standing up now visibly angry. âYou are treating us like we are stupid. We know not to do drugs. We know not to have unprotected sex. We are not stupid. And itâs not fair. Everyone else at school gets to date but not us. You are like papa!â
As Hopper goes to answer Eleven the radio on his belt goes off about some emergency Hopper has to attend to.
âThe three of you. This conversation isnât over.â
As hopper leaves youâre left alone with your sisters. You can feel El practically burning a hole in the back of your skull.
âWhat El?â
âThis is your fault!â
âWhat is my fault?â
âIt is your fault that I cannot be with Mike!â
Kay decided to jump in âand why I canât be with Jason!â
âEleven youâre so young. You donât need to be dating anyways. Boys at your age and even at mine are all garbage anyways. And Kay Iâm oh so sorry youâll have to miss out on dating Jason Cretin Carver.â
Both El and Kay stomp off to their rooms and slam the door leaving you completely alone again with nothing but homework and swirling thoughts.
***
Later on in the evening El and Kay are in Kayâs room discussing you when Eleven's radio goes off.
âEleven? Do you copy? Itâs Mike. Over.â
âYes Mike I copy.â
âGreat, I just wanted to see if you wanted to go to Star Court later. It would just be the two of us but maybe if you told the chief of was just as fri-â
âNo way Mike. He already went off once today about the No dating until y/n does ruleâ
âWhat if I said the party was working on a plan for that?â
El looks over at Kay whoâs been listening to the entire conversation and they give each other smug looks. Mike goes over the plan with the two of them and they agree to do whatever it takes to help.
****
The next day it was finally time to begin putting the plan into action. Lucas decided to be the one to go ask Jason Carver to be a part of the plan. So when lunchtime rolled around instead of walking to the Hellfire table like normal. Lucas made his way over to the basketball table and sat down at the head of the table next to none other than Jason Carver himself.
âI-Iâm sorry. Kid are you lost?â
âNo actually. Just came by to run an idea by you. Just to see if youâre interested.â
âIâm notâ
âHear me outâ
At this point Jason decided to half listen as he continued to eat his lunch.
âYou want Kay right? But you canât date her because Y/n doesnât date and none of the Hopper girls can date until she does right?â
âDoes this conversation have a purpose for me at all?â
âWell Jason. I think you should hire a guy thatâs crazy enough to go out with her.â
âOh really. And who would be crazy enough to go out with her.â
Lucas points over to Eddie at the hellfire club whoâs currently walking around the table shouting about something D&D related.
âReally? Him? The freak. Isnât he a satanist?â
âI donât really know man⊠but even if he is, that makes him a solid investment. If heâs crazy enough to worship Satan then heâs crazy enough to date y/n right?â
âWhatâs in this for you kid?â
âWell I was thinkingâŠmaybe I could get a spot on the team. After tryouts next week.â
âAlright. You got yourself a deal.â
Lucas stays at the table for a moment longer while everyone at the table looks confused until Jason finally speaks up. âWeâre done here kid.â
Lucas stands from the table and walks to where the rest of the party was watching him and gives them a thumbs up.
Ms OâDonnells class had everyone bored out of their minds once again. But this time it was presentation day where you each had to read a story you wrote. As you were up at the front of the class reading yours, Jason decided to put his part of the plan into action.
âPsssstâŠPSSSSTâŠ.heyâŠfreakâ
Eddie finally takes his head off of his desk where he was attempting to nap, and turns to face Jason.
âWhat Carver?â
âYou see Y/n up there?â
âNo actually I donât. Wherever do you mean?â
Jason rolls his eyes. âI want you to ask her out.â
âUh sure casanova whatever gets you off man?â Eddie starts to turn his head back to his desk when Jason moves forward and grabs his shoulder.
âLook freak. I canât take out her sister until y/n starts dating. You see their dad has this crazy rule an-â
âLook, that's a touching story. It really is. But not my problem man.â
âWould you be willing to make it your problem for sayâŠ.oh I dunno. 30 bucks a date?â
Eddie sits there weighing his options. I mean taking some girl out and getting paid to do it. Why would he pass that up? Itâs not like he had to marry the girl or anything. But not for $30.
âWell letâs see Carver. Letâs say we go to a movie. Thatâs $15 right there. Now letâs say we get some snacks. Thatâs what $53? And if the girl wants a drink thatâll be what $75. So yeah $75 or no dealâ
âThis isnât a negotiation freak. Take it or leave it, trailer park boyâ
â50 bucks and we got a deal Casanovaâ
Jason sighs and takes 50 dollars out of his pocket and slides it onto Eddieâs desk. Eddie turns to face you up front with a smile.
After class as youâre walking out your arm is caught lightly and you turn to face Eddie Munson. The bright smile heâs dawning is unlike any emotion youâve seen him emit before so it confuses you as he begins to speak.
âHey there girly. How ya doin?â
âUh fine I guess. Tired? And yourself?â
âTired huh? After that great story you read to the class. I mean a story like that, how could I not be impressed.â
You turn to walk away down the hall and he follows after.
âAh, my mission in life. To impress men. Well obviously it worked on you so the world makes sense againâ
âSo Iâll pick you up on Friday night huh?â
âOh yeah totallllly. Gonna take me for some gas station sushi and then make me play D&D? Do you even know my name Munson?â
âI know a lot more than you think.â
âDoubtful. Very doubtful.â And thatâs all you say as you leave Eddie Munson standing in the middle of the school hallway.
Mike turns to Dustin who just watched the entire encounter and Mike looks distraught.
âDustin! Weâre so screwed!â
âHey now I donât wanna hear that negativity. Letâs get some upbeat emotion in here!â
âWERE SCREWED!â Mike says in an overly cheery tone.
Sitting in front of your desk in your room as you read a book you feel a pair of hands brush through your hair and you turn to find Eleven brushing her hands through your hair.
âHave you ever considered a different hairstyle? I mean you have some real potential here to look like a model from those magazinesâ
âAnd now why would I want to do that?â
âI donât know so that maybe you donât end up as an old woman whoâs cold and alone?â
âIâm not cold Eleven. Iâm annoyed.â
âWell instead of being annoyed you could try being nice for once.â
âAnd why would I do thatâ
âSo that people wonât think youâre a mean person?â
âI donât care what people think Eleven. And neither should you. You donât have to try so hard all the time for people to like you.â
âI happen to like having friends y/nâ
As Eleven says it she throws her hands in the air and her wrist comes into view for you.
âWhereâd you get that bracelet?â
âHopper gave it to me.â
âThat was Sarahâs braceletâŠwhy would he just give it to you?â
âBecause Iâm his daughter too y/n. Even if itâs not biological.â
âOh so what, you're just gonna wear it now. Itâs not like you ever even knew her or my mom. You have no right to wear it.â
You storm out of your own room. Leaving Eleven to stand there awestruck at your sudden outburst.
Ah Saturdays. Supposed to be for relaxation and forgetting school exists. So thatâs exactly what you were doing at the music store as you purchased some new cassettes. A little AC/DC, a little Metallica, some WASP. The usual. As you said thank you to the clerk and made your way outside you couldnât help but be annoyed to see a certain metal head leaned up against the door of your truck.
âNice truck. Vintage fender?â
âSo what are you stalking me now?â
âJeez a guy canât go by his favorite music shop and happen to spot a friend?â
As you reached for the handle of the driver side door he slid in front of it to stop you.
âNot a big talker huh?â
âSorry talking about the ass end of my truck doesnât usually get me going.â
He looks you in the eyes briefly studying your expression. âYouâre not afraid of me are you?â
âAfraid? Why would I be afraid of you?â
âWell most people are.â
âWell Iâm not.â
âWell maybe youâre not afraid of me but Iâm sure youâve thought about me in other ways.â He says with a smug look and a raised brow.
âOh am I that transparent? Oh yeah I totallly want you oh so badly?â
You grab the handle of the door and force it open, removing Eddie from your car door, as he throws his hands up in surrender and moves away. However as you intend to back up and leave the store a car pulls in and parks directly behind you in the street. Itâs a familiar red car owned by none other than Jason Carver himself. You roll down your window and stick your head out to yell at him.
âHEY ASSHOLE DO YOU MIND.â
âNot at all, sweetheart not at all.â
Jason pays you no mind as he continues walking. Youâre not going to let this asshole win however. Rolling your window back up and putting the car in reverse you quickly backup directly into Jason Carvers car. Eddie automatically begins laughing hysterically on the side of the road and Jason Carver comes running back to his car.
âYOU BITCH! LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID TO MY BABY!â
âWhoops. Now get out of my way.â
***
âWHOOPS?!??? THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT HITTING THAT BOYS CAR?â
âYes dad. Trust me if you knew him youâd have done the same.â
âNo I wouldnât have. Cause unlike you I didnât have a dad who was a police chief who could get you out of messes like that. Youâre lucky that boy didnât press charges for one and two youâre lucky that heâs had some run ins in the past that I had to clear in order for him not to press charges.â
âOkay sorry. What do you want me to say here?â
âIs this because I donât want you going to that college? Is that it? Did you do this as some kind of punishment?â
âReally? Thatâs where you wanna go. Okay arenât you punishing me by making me stay here forever because Sarah died and mom left so now nobody can control their own lives?â
âLeave them out of this.â
âFine then stop planning my life for me.â
âIâm your father and thatâs my right.â
âOkay so what I want doesnât matter?â
âYouâre 18 y/n! You have no idea what you really want and you wonât for a long time!â
âPlease dad why? Why is it so hard for you to trust me? I want to go to Indiana State! I want you to trust me to make my own choices. I want you to stop trying to control my life just because you couldnât control yours!â
âYou know wha-â Hopper was cut off yet again by his radio. It was Powell from the station calling in about another emergency that needed the chief's undivided attention.
âThis talk isnât over y/nâ
âYay canât wait to go through this all againâ
You say leaving him before he gets the chance to make another snarky remark towards you. As you walk away you run into your sister Kay who is fuming.
âDID YOU JUST MAIM JASON'S CAR?!??â
âUh yeah looks like youâll just have to bike with Elevenâ
âHas the fact that youâre completely deranged managed to escape you?â
You donât bother to address her as you continue to your room. Slamming the door shut in the process.
****
Eddie Munson was not surprised to be met with a more than unhappy Jason Carver first thing Monday morning. As much as it didnât surprise him, the prospect of having to talk to him exhausted him.
âWhen I pay someone $50 for a job I expect results.â
âYeah Carver. Iâm working on it.â
âWatching that bitch maim my car doesnât qualify as a date, freak.â
âWell you know what Carver I was thinking. I donât think $50 is quite enough to make this girl worth it. I think Iâll be upping my price.â
âExcuse me, freak?â
â100 bucks a date. In advance.â
âAbsolutely not. No.â
âFine, forget about Kay then.â Eddie couldnât help the shit eating grin on his face as he knew heâd backed Jason into a corner.
âYou better hope youâre as smooth as you think you are Munsonâ Jason said, slapping the 100 dollars into Eddieâs hand and walking away.
***
Mike and Dustin spent time discussing how on earth they were going to help Eddie and y/n get together. They came to no other conclusion than deciding they had to come clean and tell him the entire plan. So the next after school when the Hellfire meeting ended and the rest of the boys cleared out. Mike and Dustin decided to stay behind in an attempt to talk to Eddie.
Eddie notices the boy's presence in the room but says nothing as he continues to clean.
Only hearing the quiet bickering of the boys decided which one of them will be the one to tell him. Heâs finally had enough of it once heâs finished cleaning and theyâre still bickering.
âSo do either of you wanna tell me why youâre still here and I still managed to clean up everything by myself?â
Dustin pushes Mike towards Eddie, to where Eddie is towering above Mike in an intimidating stance.
âW-well Eddie. Dustin and I know what youâre trying to do with Y/n. We know about the plan with Jason.â
âOh, do you now? And what are you two going to do about it?â
âW-well thatâs the thing. We wanted to help you out.â
âReally and why is that?â
Dustin steps forward placing a hand on Mikeâs shoulder. âWell Eddie you see Mike wants to date Eleven so we had Lucas convince Jason to pay you to ask y/n out. But we see youâve had some trouble with y/n and we think we can help you out by getting in-tell on what y/n likes and doesnât like.â
Eddie stands there surprised and impressed that these two freshmen have been able to pull this off. âWhat is with these sisters? Jesus? Is kissing them like crack or something? Why does everyone want them?â
âWha-Eddie no thatâs not the point. Are you gonna let us help you or not?â
âFine. Henderson, Wheeler. Youâre my minions. Get in-tell on the beast and report back to me. Got it? Or the next campaign will be very painful for the two of you.â
âEddie, that's great. Weâve already got one way for you to get to know her. See hereâ Dustin hands Eddie a flyer. âThis is for Steve Harrington's party this Friday night. Youâre gonna bring her to this.â
âYouâre quite the optimist Henderson. She wonât even so much as spit in my direction let alone go to a party with me.â
âDonât worry weâre working on it. You sit tight and weâll come find you when we have more in-tell and a plan for you to get her to the party.â
And with that Dustin and Mike left Eddie alone in the hellfire room. Eddie looked at the flyer and signed. This whole arrangement was becoming complicated and the task at hand was challenging. Was any amount of money worth this?
***
Back at your house Mike and Dustin are inside with Eleven and Kay.
âSo uh, Kay did you hear about Steve Harrington's party on Friday?â
âOf course I heard about it Dustin. How did you hear about it? You wonât even be allowed in the door?â
âOh Iâm friends with Steve. Donât worry about it. Are you gonna go?â
âI really really want to but again Iâm not allowed to go unless y/n does. Itâs total bullshit. Anyways hereâs y/nâs room. If I let you three in here you have to swear on your life sheâll never find out or Iâm so dead.â
The three children sweat on Dustinâs mother before Kay lets them into your room. Looking around they see plenty of rock and roll band posters, plenty of books strewn about and plenty of bookshelves, lots of horror movie posters and horror novels and some posters for poetry slams. Mike and Dustin also make sure to ask Eleven basic questions about your likes and dislikes. Finding out that you hate jocks and douchey guys and that you love spicy Mexican food. They gather as much information as they can and make sure to leave before you get home, hoping they left everything just as they found it. Upon your arrival home you donât suspect a thing.
***
Mike and Dustin bike all the way across town to The Hideout where they know Eddie is most likely to be. Making their way in the bar theyâre surprised at the lack of security as they just waltz right in. Taking in the stench of cigarettes, booze and whatâs most likely marijuana. Looking around the bar they see the instruments still set up from the Corroded Coffin set they must have done that night. As they continue to scan the bar they find Eddie and his band mates at a pool table taking turns and drinking. Dustin marches up to Eddie and taps him on the shoulder causing Eddie to turn around angrily until he realizes itâs just Dustin and not some drunkard complaining about his music.
âAh my minions. Pray tell what information dost thou bring me?â
âWell we discovered she likes rock and roll so hereâs a list of bands she likes, she loves really spicy Mexican food, the girl is obsessed with reading, horror movies and horror novels, she hates jocks and douchey guys, and loves poetry readingsâ
âOkayyyy so Iâm what? Supposed to take her to get some enchiladas, buy her a book and then slam poetry with her?â
Dustin scoffs and ignores the sarcasm in Eddieâs voice.
âEddie, have you ever been to Oliverâs cafe?â
âNo. Why?â
âTheyâre having a poetry slam there tomorrow.â
âNo-no absolutely not. Eddie âthe freakâ Munson cannot walk into some poetry club. Absolutely not.â
***
As Eddie walked into the cafe he felt embarrassed. He didnât let that stop him however as he held his heâd high and strode through the cafe ignoring the onlookers who stared at him. The poet was up on stage reading their poems and Eddie scanned the crowd of people at their tables and finally found you.
Sitting at a small table with Robin and Nancy he watched as you would sip your coffee and occasionally smile at the poems being read aloud. You and Nancy both look interested in the poet but Robin looks bored out of her mind and is bouncing her leg most likely due to the caffeine intake.
Eddie decided instead of taking a strong approach like normal that he would let you come to him. So he takes a seat by himself at the bar and orders an espresso.
Walking up to the counter for a refill on your coffee you canât help but notice the metal head at the bar who sticks out like a sore thumb. He doesnât seem to notice you but you know he has to be there for you. Grabbing your coffee and walking over to his seat you begin to whisper so as not to interrupt the poet or disturb other guests.
âIf youâre here to ask me out again you might as well just take that and shov-â
âDo you mind? I canât hear Lillianâs poem and youâre kind of ruining it for me. I canât wait for Jenna Scruff to get up there next.â
Eddie takes his espresso and sits at an empty table nearby. Leaning back in his chair to listen to the poet. You take the bait and sit next to him for a moment continuing your conversation in a hushed tone.
âYou? You know Jenna Scruff's work?â
âYeah why? Donât you?â
As Lillian finished her poetry set instead of snapping everyone clapped for once. Eddie took the opportunity to tell you something.
âI was watching you before when you were listening to the poems. Iâve never seen you smile so genuinely before you were beautifulâ
Upon his last three words the clapping had ceased and the entire cafe was able to hear what he had said. Earning a crowd's worth of oooâs and awes causing your whole face to turn beat red.
Eddie doesnât let up as the next poet gets on stage and starts their set. He continues to talk to you in a hushed tone. âCome to Harringtons party with me?â
You sigh and take a sip of your coffee. âYou never give up do youâ you begin to stand from the table coffee in hand as you make your way back to your friends.
âWas that a yes?â Eddie tried to shout yet still whisper.
âNo.â
âWell then was that a no?â
As you sat down at the table with your friends you looked back at Eddie and whisper shouted back. âNo.â Sipping your drink with a smug smile.
âIâll see you at 9:30 thenâ as Eddie said 9:30 he made sure to hold up nine fingers, then three, then a zero.
Eddie didnât leave after asking you that. Instead he stayed at the poetry slam and just watched you. Watched the way you reacted to things. Watched when you smiled. Took note of things you liked. Things you did. He wasnât sure why. He had no reason to still be there. Heâd tell himself for the time being it was just extra research for the mission at hand.
***
Itâs Friday night and youâre sitting on the couch In your usual attire as Kay walks out of her room in a red dress and heels walking towards the door trying to avoid Hopper's attention. And failing.
Hopper rises from the couch and catches Kay at the door. âSo kid, where ya headed?â
âUhhh well if you wanna know. Iâm headed to a study group.â
âYou mean a party?â
Hopper turns to you. âY/n do you know anything about a partyâ you shake your head No and turn your attention back to your book.
âKay you know the rules. If y/n doesnât go then you donât go. End of story.â
Kay turns to you. Red face full of fury and marches up to you snatching the book out of your hand. âCANâT YOU BE NORMAL? JUST FOR ONCE?â
You try to reach for the book but to no avail. âDefine normal for me real quick?â
âUh, going to Steve Harrington's party normal? I thought Steve was a friend of yours so why not just go for me please?â
âNo Kay, those parties are just excuses for people to get drunk and rub up against each other to distract from the emptiness of their meaningless consumer driven lives.â
Kay pills out the puppy dog eyes. âPlease for one night can you not be a complete nuisance and just do me this one favor. Pleaseeeeeeeâ
Looking into her sad eyes was just too much. You found yourself caving cause you couldnât stand to see those eyes.
âFine. One appearance.â
Kay jumped up and down squealing and Hopper looked utterly defeated. You didnât bother to change your clothes but grabbed a jacket for the night. As you opened the door your sister was already running to Jason Carver's car but as much as you wanted to protest, you had a much more urgent matter. The matter of the metal head standing on your front porch.
âWhat are you doing here?â
â9:30 right? Sorry I know Iâm a little early.â
Eddie Munson had never been early for a date in his life. But figured tonight he could make an exception.
âFine. Whatever. But weâre taking my car.â
Eddie let you lead the way to your car and couldnât hide the smile that grew on his face upon earning his small victory with you.
***
Upon arrival at the party Eddie continues to let you lead the way. You pass all the booze and drugs and fun stuff and immediately just start wandering through the house. Much to Eddieâs disappointment. However he isnât going to let anything happen to you at this party so he attempts to keep up.
Getting interrupted as he follows you. Some cheerleader he recognizes as Jason Carver's ex tries to grab onto him. âKISS MEâ she yells in his face as she attempts to jump on him. Eddies quick however and grabs her spinning her around as he shoves her towards some other poor nerd. âKiss him insteadâ and she does immediately. He continues on his way to try and keep up with you having to jog a bit having lost you.
You find yourself standing in what appears to be a smoke filled living room full of people drinking and making out. Youâre suddenly met with the one and only Jason Carver.
âWell well well look what the cat dragged inâ
Jason chides as he circles you. Almost as if you were some kind of prey.
âAccording to that receding hairline of yours Carver I wouldnât joke about others getting dragged.â You turn on heel to attempt leaving the living room but Jason quickly blocks you.
âSo y/n. You see your sister around? She got away from me for a second.â
âI think it'd be best if you stayed away from my sister Jason.â
âOh sure y/n. Of course. But letâs see if she stays away from me.â He gets very close to your face and winks before leaving you standing by yourself in the doorway of the living room.
***
As you walk through the house attempting to find your sister Kay youâre met by the devastating sight of her already leaned up against him by a wall. Making your way to her youâre met by Jasonâs annoying voice.
âWell well well y/n would you look who found me again.â
Choosing to ignore Jason you grab your sister's arm and attempt to speak to her but she quickly stops you. âY/n! Please donât talk to me in public.â
âKay please I just wanna tell you something.â
âCanât it wait till later? Iâm trying to enjoy my life for once so can you leave me alone and try to do the same?â
Kay rips her arm from your grasp and continues walking through the house wrapped in Jasonâs arm.
As you stand there dumbfounded Eddie is finally able to reach you. But not before you can take a shot of the first drink you see. Intending to get very wasted for the night.
âJesus y/n where the hell did you go Iâve been looking everywhereâ Eddie was clearly exasperated from the recent efforts.
âIâm getting trashed, man. Isnât that what you do at parties?â
âI mean I say do what you want.â
âFunny. Youâre the only one. Iâll catch you later.â You turn on your heel and disappear into the crowd behind you.
Normally this would be the point in the night where Eddie gives up and goes home but Eddie isnât going to just leave you here at some party with no way to get home because youâre getting drunk. As Eddie continued through the house it took him quite a while to find you in a place this big in a sea of this many people. Henderson was right, Harrington really knew how to throw a party.
When Eddie finally found you he attempted to take the shot in your hand away because he could very clearly tell that youâd had too many. You refused however and continued through the house finding a very sturdy table that your drunk little brain thought would be perfect to stand on. You know what this table might be perfect to dance on too?
Eddie could see where this was going and was intent on stopping you until he was blocked by none other than Jason Carver.
âHow did you do it man?â
Eddie was confused and already over this conversation. âDo what?â
âGet her to act like a human being.â
Eddie didnât get the chance to answer as the crowd of people in the room behind him started to cheer and he found you in nothing but a light tank job and jeans now dancing on top of the table as a group of teens cheered you on.
Your body was all sorts of languid and you were just feeling loosey goosey so you were bending and snapping and just in general dirty dancing all over the place. Your drunk little brain couldnât explain why but a large portion of the dance moves were directed to the metal head standing at the edge of the table watching you. Standing up fully after one particular bend has you smacking your head hard on the chandelier above you. Almost knocking you out.
As you fall backwards you're caught by a pair of arms and you find yourself face to face in Eddie Munsons arms who looks distressed. He gets you away from the table and sets you on the floor. âHey y/n look at me. You okay?â
You attempt to stand up on your own. âIâm fineâ your words are slurred as you collapse into his arms again and he attempts to walk you outside.
âEddie I just- I just need to lie down for a minuteâ
âNo if you lie down youâll go to sleepâ
âSleep hahaha. But sleepy is good?â
âNot if you have a concussion.â
He sits you down outside letting you get some fresh air as he continues to check to make sure youâre okay. Unable to keep yourself up right Eddie wraps an arm around you and carries you fully outside the party and into Harrington's front yard.
As Eddie guides you to the porch swing you canât help but wonder why heâs even here. âWhy are you helping me?â You manage to mutter out.
âLike i said you might have a concussion y/n.â
âYou donât care if I ever wake up Munsonâ
âSure I do.â
âWhy?â
âCause then Iâd have to start taking out girls who actually like me.â
âLike you could ever find one.â
âOh see that. Who needs affection when you give such blinding hatredâ
You start to pass out in his arms again and he sets you on one of the tire swings thatâs hanging from a tree in Harrington's yard. Youâre able to sit by yourself for a moment before almost falling out of the swing and Eddie catches you once again. Finding he now also needs a break he sits in the tire swing next to yours.
Eddie turns to look at you. âWhy do you let him get to you?â
âWho?â
âJason.â
âUgh. God I hate him.â
âWell drowning yourself in Vodka and Rum seems like the perfect revenge option I see.â
You laugh at his words and Eddie canât help but smile back. Seeing as this is the first time heâs made you smile he thinks heâll remember this moment as a win. That is until he looks back at you to see your arms dropped to your sides and your eyes closed as if youâve fainted.
Eddie jumps up quickly, taking your hand in his and using his free hand to stroke your face.
âY/n?!? Y/n?!? Come on, wake up. Come on, open your eyes!â
And you do it slowly. Your eyes connect with his big brown eyes. You canât help but admire the way they shine in the moonlight.
âHey. Your eyes. They have a little gold in themâ
You smile at him as he says it and Eddie canât help but admire your entire face. Your smile seems to light up every feature you have and he almost begins to memorize it before you lower your head again and rub your temples. Without meaning to, he strokes the back of your head just thankful you woke up and that youâre okay.
***
As Eddie drives you home he actually finds himself quite content. You seem much better now and your music taste isnât bad.
âUGHHHH i should be like these people!â
Eddie turns his attention from the road to you. âBe like what people?â
You point your hand at the radio repeatedly. âThese. These peoples I should be like these people. Speaking their mind and doing what they want. I bet my father would love that.â
As he pulls up to your house and turns the car off he turns to you and begins to speak in a serious tone. âYou donât seem like the kind of girl who cares what her dad thinks.â
You scoff. âOh so now you think you know me?â
âIâm getting there.â
âThe only thing people know about me is that Iâm some monster of a woman.â
âYeah wellâŠIâm no town heartthrob either.â
As you turn to look at him you begin to realize the two of you arenât so different. That gold glimmer in his deep brown eyes seems to say something to you. Almost pulling you into them. And as Eddie stared back at you he began to realize that maybe you werenât the monster everyone painted you out to be. Maybe heâd judged you the way everyone judges him.
The look lingers just a little too long until Eddie points to your house trying to clear the tension. âSo uh your dad. I assume having the chief of police as a father must be a pain in the ass.â
âPfft. Thatâs one way to put it. Although I wouldnât so much say pain in the ass as much as Iâd say he just wants to make my life into something I donât want. Make me into somebody that Iâm not.â
âAnd who does he want to make you into?â
âKayâ you say with a frilly attitude that would match your sisters.
âAh. I see. Kay. No offense or anything Iâm sure Kay is great and I know everyone digs her but sheâs without.â
You turn to look at him again. Smiling as you do. âYou know. You arenât what I thought youâd be.â
âWhat? Mean and scary?. Can I be honest with you here? I thought youâd be kind of mean and scary too. I mean you are kind of mean but definitely not scary.â
You canât help but laugh at what he says and upon laughing you realize nobodies made you laugh like that for a really long time. As your laugh dies down and you gaze into his eyes again you begin to lean in for a kiss.
Eddie can see you leaning in. He almost leans in too but he canât bring himself to do it. Nothing about the situation feels right. Youâre drunk and he got paid to take you out. He wants to kiss you. But not like this.
Eddie clears his throat. âMaybe we should do this at a different time.â
You pull away and reach for the door handle. Immediately leaving the car and running inside feeling insulted and embarrassed. This guy spends all this time trying to get you to go out with him only to reject you when you try to kiss him. What the hell?
As you wait inside you watch as Eddie pulls out of your driveway in his van and watch as he fades into the distance. Surprised as you see your younger sister Kay getting dropped off by Steve Harrington rather than her own date. She takes a while to come inside and youâre about to ask her what that was about but upon seeing the smile sheâs dawning when she walks in you decide to drop it. Just for tonight.
Walking into Ms OâDonnellâs class Monday morning was going to be a pain in the ass. You could already tell. But when you walked in and weâre greeted by Jason asking you how much he owes you for the table dance you gave at the party, it confirmed this hour was going to be a rough one. Jasonâs cruel remarks were met by Ms OâDonnellâs personal brand of snark.
Ms OâDonnell began speaking about the classes next assignment and how you would be recreating your own version of sonnet 141. You raise your hand to ask a question.
âYes, what could you possibly have a problem with now Ms Hopper?â
âDo you want this in Iambic pentameter?â
Ms OâDonnell turns to face you with a dumbfounded expression.
âSo you have no qualms about the assignment?â
âUh no? I think itâs a good assignment. Iâm excited about it!â
Ms OâDonnell chuckles at you. âGo to the office.â
âWait what?â
âOut. Get out. I donât know what game youâre playing but go to the office.â
So you gather your belongings and leave the classroom.
***
As Mike and Dustin sit with Eddie at lunch the boys begin to interrogate him about what happened with you the night of the party.
âSeriously Eddie what did you do to her?â
Eddie takes a cashew and throws it at Mike. âI didnât do anything Wheeler. In fact I was a gentleman who didnât do anything because she was drunk and that would be wrong.â
âUghhhh Eddie, our plan was working!â
Dustin comes running back to Eddie and Mike after attempting to talk to you.
âSo Dustin whatâd she say?â
âWell she said she hates him with the fire of a thousand suns. Those were her exact words.â
Eddie puts his face in his hands and rubs his face. âThank you for the helpful encouragement Dustin.â
Mike puts his hands in the air âhey maybe all she needs is a few days to cool offâ as he says this the three boys just narrowly dodge the sandwich youâd âaccidentallyâ thrown in their direction when you tripped walking past their table.
Eddie turns back to the boys. âI think she might need more than a few days.â
***
âGod Nance, can you imagine going to prom? How ridiculous would that be.â
âI donât know y/n it could be fun. Iâd love to go if only Jonathan would ask me.â
âUgh you really wanna get all dolled up and listen to a band that totally blows while all these losers girate and look for excuses to hump each other? You agree with me, right Robin?â
As you turn to Robin you can already see her disagreeing with you. âIâd love to go to prom. But we all know why I canât ask anybody so no prom for me.â
Nancy throws her hands up in surrender.
âAlright alright weâre not going then. Itâs not like Iâve got a dress anyways.â
âNancy, you're looking at it all wrong. By not going weâll be making a statement.â
âOh yippee cause you donât do that everyday.â
***
As Kay stands in the gym trying to make the ball go into the basket a pair of arms wraps around her to make the shot. Turning around afterwards she finds herself face to face with Jason.
âSo Kay. About prom?â
âJason you know I canât go to prom unless y/n does.â
âShe is going to prom.â
âWhat? Since when?â
Jason picks up another ball and twirls it on the top of a finger. âOh letâs just say Iâm taking care of it.â He places the ball into Kayâs hand and takes his leave.
***
Sitting on his usual bench in the forest Jason hands Eddie about $200. âHere freak. This should cover the tickets and the tux. Everything.â
Eddie holds the money in his hands for a moment contemplating. He thinks about you and how wrong this is to do to you. âNah man. I think Iâm out. I donât wanna play this game anymore.â He hands the money back to Jason and is about to stand up from the bench.
Jason begins to panic, reaching for his wallet. âHere freak. How about we make is 300?â
Eddie looks down at the money. Money he could really use. But this is so wrong on so many levels. He shouldnât be doing this to you. Jason places the money in his hands anyways and Eddieâs hands close around it and he releases a heavy sigh as Jason leaves the table. Guilt riddling its way through his body.
Now Eddie really needed a plan to get back in your good graces.
****
On that following Saturday Eddie drove to the music store where youâd hit Jasonâs car. He was happy to see your car sitting outside and decided to head in.
In the music shop you made your way from the cassettes and records all the way to the back where they kept the instruments. You grabbed this snazzy green guitar off the wall. The one you visited every weekend. As you grabbed it you found a nearby stool to sit on and practice as you continued to try and follow the song playing on your Walkman. Someday you planned on saving up your money and buying this very guitar.
As Eddie walked through the store he finally spotted you in the back and walked up to you. You were so into playing your music that you hadnât noticed him standing behind you. He observed the way you played it and how gentle you were with the instrument. He was reminded of the time he went to get sweetheart from this very store. Heâd saved up all his money for months and Wayne pitched in a little and even drove him to go get it.
Seeing you sitting there playing like that so peacefully Eddie decided not to disturb you. Not today. Heâd make a better plan to make it up to you. So he backed away slowly and left the store.
You couldnât help the feeling of being watched. Looking around to see nobody. You continued to play nonetheless.
The next day you took a trip down to your favorite bookstore and began looking at the horror novels. And as you walk down the aisle you feel that similar feeling of being watched. That is until you turn the corner at the end of the isle and are face to face with Eddie.
âExcuse me, do you know where they keep Stephen Kings âThe Talismanâ? I seem to have lost my copy.â
âWhat are you doing here Munson?â
âI heard they might have a poetry reading in here today. Figured Iâd stop by.â
âYouâre so-â
âcharming?Wholesome?â
âMore like unwelcome.â
You continue to look through the books as Eddie becomes visibly frustrated.
âYouâre not as mean as you think you are, you know that?â
âAnd youâre not as badass as you think you are.â
âOoooh someone still has her panties in a twist.â
âDonât for one minute think that you had any effect whatsoever on my panties.â
âWell I had an effect on something. What was it?â
âOther than my body needing to faint that night then nothing.â
You find the copy of The Talisman and shove it to his chest and walk out of the store.
***
Dustin, Mike, and Eddie are sitting around at lunch yet again discussing you.
âYouâre right twirps. Sheâs still pissed.â
âSweet love renew thy force!â Dustin said a little too loud causing Eddie to smack the back of his head.
âHey! Henderson! Donât say shit like that around me. People can hear you.â
Mike chirps in. âYou embarrassed y/n. Sacrifice your dignity and even the score for her.â
Eddie leaves Dustin and Mike alone at the table and goes to think of a plan on his own.
âMike donât say shit like that to Eddie, people can hear you.â
Mike scoffs and leaves Dustin at the table by himself.
***
The next day Eddie goes to make a deal with Robin. Eddie slipped Robin a $50 and in exchange Robin was to gather the band kids at lunch and make sure y/n was there.
At lunch everything was a bit odd. The entire hellfire table was empty and instead of sitting at your normal table, Robin and Nancy had insisted you sit at the band kids table today closest to the stage.
After sitting at lunch for a few minutes the curtains begin to open and you turn around to see instruments set up and people walking onstage. You recognize Eddie immediately and the rest of his band mates from Corroded coffin.
As Eddie got on stage he pointed to Robin and the entire band around you stood up and began to play a familiar tune at a rather loud volume. A few moments later Eddie started to play his guitar and the rest of his bands instruments came to life as Eddie began to play âI was made for loving youâ by Kiss.
He pointed to you and then hopped from the stage down onto the table you were sitting at. At this point you couldnât help the smile and laughter that had erupted on your face as the principal and school security started chasing Eddie and his band mates through the cafeteria for their unwanted performance as the entire student body laughed at them.
If this wasnât enough to get back into your good graces then Eddie had no idea what would.
As you watched Eddie get dragged out of the cafeteria you couldnât help but wonder how on earth you were going to help him get out of detention today.
****
After school detention with Mr Hans was always a nightmare you knew but you also knew he wasnât the most competent teacher. Easily distracted or so youâd hoped.
As you walked into the quiet classroom and asked to talk to Mr Hans about improving the school's drama department.
As Mr Hans turned back to his desk you made eye contact with Eddie and motioned towards the window. He finally caught your drift and began to slowly move. As Eddie began to move you focused all your attention on making sure Mr Hans didnât see Eddie making a run for it.
âMr Hans, I really think we could use a new costume manager!â You said as you grabbed his arm roughly turning his back to Eddie. As you grabbed his arm you quickly began to try and find something to say.
âWow Mr Hans! Your biceps are huge! You donât take steroids do you? I heard steroids can have a negative effect on your uhâŠwell you know?â At this point the entire class in detention is howling at your awkward display and Eddie attempts to escape. As Eddie snuck around a few more desks almost at the window the floor begins to creek and Mr Hans almost turns around.
âThatâs not the point Mr Hans, the point is that the costume department should be focused on more because I think our plays always fall short due to our lack of good costuming!â
âNo offense Ms Hopper but our plays usually fall short due to poor acting?â
âWell this would be a great misdirection! Using great costumes for people to focus on rather than the poor acting!â
âMisdirection? Why do we care about misdirection?â
Eddie was almost home free just outside the window and Mr Hans was thinking about what you said when there was another creek. Still talking to you he began to turn around in Eddieâs direction. âOkay so how do we get them to focus less on the bad acting then?â
You quickly grab your shirt and lift it up flashing everyone in the room. Eddie included. But you thought he wouldnât be able to see you from his vantage point.
âLike this!â
Eddie grabbed a quick glance before using the opportunity to jump out the window and run for it. Once you see heâs out of the room you slowly lower your shirt and swallow the embarrassment of having your peers now know what your breasts look like.
âWell now that youâve seen the plan Mr Han Iâm gonna go and uh run the plan by someone else. So uh thanks for your time and Iâll be going.â Thatâs all you said before running out of the classroom at top speed.
***
As you sat in Eddie van laughing as he drove he couldnât help but thank you for helping him sneak out of detention.
âSo uh how did you keep Mr Hans distracted?â
âOh I uh dazzled him with myâŠ.wits?â
Eddie chooses not to bring up that although you may have dazzled him it most definitely wasnât with your wits. Instead he chooses to steer the conversation in a different direction.
âSo whatâs your excuse Y/n?â
âFor?â
âFor acting the way we do?â
âI donât like to do what people expect me to do. Why should I live my life based on what other people want me to do?â
âAh I see. You disappoint them from the start and then you donât have to worry about disappointing them ever again?â
âSomething like that.â
âThen you screwed up.â
âHow?â
âYou never disappointed me.â
There was no point in hiding the smile or blush that crept onto your face at his words. As he continued to drive Eddie pulled into a parking lot and turned to you.
âSo. You up for it?â
âUp for what?â
You turn to look at where Eddie has taken you and see that heâs taken you to a paintball range. You already know youâre gonna try and kick his ass.
***
Eddie is the first to get hit by your red paint but he quickly retaliates by covering you in blue paint. Running around ducking behind random objects as you hid from each other. As Eddie missed and you laughed at him he quickly hit you with another one square in the stomach knocking the air out of you.
âOoooo youâre so dead Munsonâ
You chased him and managed to get him covered in all sorts of colors. Making sure to smother his face in red paint. Eddie wasnât going to go easy on you however, making sure you were covered in just as much paint as he was. Keeping the majority of your paint blue.
You finally ran out of paintballs and Eddie was the only one with paint left. You put your hands up in surrender and he pulled you in for a side hug. As you embraced you felt him slam the last ball of paint over your head causing blue paint to smear down your face. And you quickly ran away laughing.
As you two ran, Eddie tackled you and the two of you collapsed into a bail of heigh that had been setup for the paintball field. As he lay on top of you in the bail of heigh Eddie canât help but admire you. Even covered in paint you still managed to be one of the most beautiful creatures heâd ever seen. So he leaned down and captured your lips into a tender kiss. You wrapped your arms around his neck and brought him closer into the kiss. Pulling away you both had purple lips.
What Eddie hadnât realized during the kiss was that youâd stolen paintballs from him. So when he pulled away and gazed into your eyes you slammed the pain in his face and giggled as you ran away. If he could have bottled the giggle and drank it he would have.
After your paintball adventure, you and Eddie helped each other clean off before he drove you home. As the two of you got out of the van and walked towards the cabin Eddie continued the conversation from the car.
âNo y/n none of thatâs true scouts honorâ he did this silly little salute that made you smile.
âSo no satanic rituals?â
âNope, just a game. So is it true you bit a kid's thumb off?â
âRumor. Okay now is it true that your music is hypnotic?â
âShouldnât all music be? Is it true you kicked Andy so hard one of his balls had to be retrieved in an operation?â
âFact! But he deserved it I swear. He tried to grope me in class.â
âFair enoughâ
As you both took a seat on the porch of the cabin you turned to Eddie and took a more serious tone. âOkay Edâs. Tell me something true.â
âSomething true?âŠâŠhmâŠ.. I hate broccoli.â
You let out a laugh but didnât let up. âNo, something real. Something nobody else knows.â
He brushed some hair out of your face as he looked at you.
âOkay. Well I know youâre sweetâ he kisses your left cheek. âAnd sexyâ a kiss to the right.
âAnd completely hot for meâ
You scoff âyouâre very confident in yourself Munson.â
You both laugh but kiss him anyway and he pulls away.
âGo to the prom with me?â
âIs that a request or a command?â
âCome on. Go with me?â
âNo.â
âWhy not?â
âCause itâs a stupid dance for stupid people and Iâm not a stupid person and neither are you.â
âCome onâŠpeople wonât expect you to go?â
âWhy are you pushing this Eddie? Whatâs in this for you?â
Eddie has to think of an excuse and fast.
âWhat? So now I need an excuse to want to hang out with you?â
âAnswer the question Eddie.â
âYou need therapy, you know that. You need some real help because not everything comes with ulterior motives.â
You scoff and run inside. You donât need this. You guys had an amazing day together so why did he have to go and ruin everything?
***
Kay approached Hopper very cautiously. Knowing the most likely way this conversation is to go. âHey dad.â
âHey kid, whatcha need?â
âWell I was wondering if it would be okay for me to go to the prom?â
âIs y/n going to the prom?â
âWell no bu-â
âThen the answer is no. I know you wanna go to prom just to see that boy Jason again anyways.â
âOh come on dad. Y/n doesnât even want to go and yet here I am dying to go and I canât.â
âDo you know what happens at prom, young lady?â
âYes dad. People dance, kids make memories, people live their lives like normal human beings and yeah sure the dumb ones make mistakes but Iâm not a dumb one.â
âHuh thatâs what you think happens. Kids making memories is exactly what keeps the station busy on prom nights in this town.â
âCan we ignore the fact that youâre unhinged for like two seconds and focus on me wanting to be a normal kid for one night?â
âThis discussion was over the minute you started it, Kay. Youâre not going to prom with that Jason boy and thatâs final. Youâre not going unless y/n is.â
Kay sighed and walked away from her father.
As you walked past Kayâs room and heard the sounds of her crying you couldnât help but feel guilty. So you knocked on the door and when you got the okay you went in.
âListen I know you hate having to sit at home cause Iâm not little miss popular anymore.â
âLike you actually care y/nâ
âI do care! But Iâm a firm believer in doing something because you want to do it and not because someone else wants you to do them.â
âWell I wish I had that luxury y/n. You know Iâm the only sophomore who got asked to the prom and I canât go because you donât feel like it.â
You sighed and looked down at your hands.
âJason never told you we went out did he?â
âPfft sure y/nâ
âFreshman year. We went out for a whole month.â
Kay Scoffs. âWhy?â
âWell because he was Jason. And I was me. At the time anyways. Everyone expected us to.â
âBut you hate Jason?â
âI do now. I didnât then.â
âSo, what happened between you two?â
âYou sure you wanna know?â
Kay was nervous now but nodded her head.
âWell I slept with him. Just once. He pressured me into it and everyone I knew was doing it. Everything had just happened with Mom leaving after Sarah died and I made a mistake. When I told him I didnât want to anymore afterwards he dumped me for Chrissy. After that I swore I wouldnât do anything just because other people wanted me to. And I havenât since. Well besides Harrington's party.â
âHow did I never know?â
âI told Jason if he ever told anyone that the whole school would find out just how small his dick is.â
You both chuckled at that but then Kay stopped laughing. Now feeling bad that she hadnât been there for you.
âWhy didnât you tell me?â
âI wanted you to make up your own mind. I didnât want you to do anything because I wanted you to.â
Kay began to grow angry now. âSo instead you decided to just team up with dad and keep me locked in here all the time is that it? You think Iâm stupid enough to repeat your mistakes?â
âKay Iâm sorry. I thought I was protecting you.â
âBY NOT LETTING ME EXPERIENCE ANYTHING FOR MYSELF?â
âNot all experiences are good Kay! Not everyone can be trusted!â
âWell I guess Iâll never know will I?â
Kay stood by her bedroom door and motioned for you to get out so you did. Feeling the harsh wind as Kay slammed the door behind you.
****
You took the weekend to debate and felt a growing guilt over your sisters' missed experiences due to your mistrust of people. So you decided to go to the prom with Eddie and allow your sister to go as well.
âBye dad, I'm going to the prom!â
âVery funny y/n.â Before he could even ask, you were out the door. As Kay came down the stairs.
âKay what is that?â
âThis is a prom dress dad. Donât you like it? Eleven helped me make it.â
âYes itâs very pretty bu-â
The knock at the door interrupted Hoppers thoughts as Kay opened the door to a handsomely dressed Steve Harrington holding a bouquet of flowers. As Kay and Steve turned to leave, Hopper stopped them.
âExplain.â
âWell dad. You said I couldnât go to the prom unless y/n had a date and she found this guy whoâs actually really perfect for her and that really worked out for me cause Steve here asked me to the prom and I really really want to go and since y/n went I guess Iâm allowed to.â
As Kay grabbed Steveâs hand to run down the driveway Hopper shouted after Steve. âANY FUNNY BUSINESS WITH MY DAUGHTER AND YOU'LL BE IN CUFFS YOUNG MAN!â
****
The prom was more lively than you had anticipated as you looked through the doors. You were actually quite nervous to be there and still hadnât found your date as you stood there. Eddie had found you immediately though. Heâs pretty sure his eyeâs magnetized to you the second you walked through the door and he hasnât been able to look at anyone else since.
Eddie had been pretty surprised to get your call asking if his prom offer was still on the table but happily accepted. Deal or no deal he was grateful to spend the time with you. He just had to find the right time to come clean about everything and hope you didnât claw his eyes out.
As you stood by the door Eddie finally plucked up the courage to walk over to you and handed you the rose heâd brought for you. You both compliment each other on how you looked and walked arm and arm into the prom.
âLook Eddie-â you said, stopping and leaning on a rail. âIâm really sorry I questioned your motives. I was wrong.â
The twinge of guilt rang through Eddieâs chest and it was getting harder to ignore. He didnât want to ruin the night but he didnât know how much longer he could keep this from you.
He swallows hard. âYouâre forgiven.â
As you began to dance with Eddie youâre swung around quickly to meet the eyes of Nancy.
âHave you seen Jonathan? He promised heâd meet me here?â
âNance I thought Jonathan said heâd rather drop dead than be caught at prom?â
âY/n he promised me!â
Eddie pointed across the room to a well groomed Jonathan holding flowers and Nancy squealed and ran to him. Leaving you and Eddie by yourselves once more.
You turn to the stage when you hear them start to play your favorite song and you turn to Eddie. âTHEY'RE PLAYING MY SONG!!!â
âI called in a favor sweetheart.â
You jumped up and kissed him before beginning to dance to the music with him once more. And Eddie made sure to hold you tightly close to him.
As you danced with Eddie and held him close he began to speak to you. âSomething real. You wanted to know. Everyone thinks Iâm a freak cause of my father okay. Town criminal is a real bad guy who hurt a lot of people. Had a reputation. Being his kid meant I had a reputation from the start. Thereâs your realnessâ Eddie said as he dipped you towards the ground and you couldnât help but smile and kiss him again. Appreciating his openness with you.
As the two of you stood back up Eddie was yanked backwards by Jason Carver.
âHey freak! What the hell is Kay doing here with Steve Harrington? I didnât pay you to take out y/n so some pretty boy could snake my chance with Kay!â
Upon hearing his words youâre desperately hoping you heard him wrong. Your eyes never leave Eddieâs and you can see the guilt written across his face and Eddie can see the devastation across yours making his heart sink down to his stomach.
âNothing in it for you huh? No ulterior motive huh?â You say as you shove your way through the crowd angrily. Leaving Eddie and everyone behind.
Eddie doesnât bother to address Jason as he makes his way through the crowd to chase after you.
Jason makes his way over to Steve.
âYou messed with the wrong guy Harrington. Now youâre gonna pay. You and your little bitch.â
Steve puts a couple fingers onto Jasonâs chest pushing him away.
âBack away, Carver. Youâre crossing a line.â
Jason punches Steve square in the jaw making him fall to the ground. As Jason turns around his own face is met by a fist. None other than Kay.
âSHIT Kay! I have team yearbook photos tomorrow!â
âThatâs for hitting Steveâ she hits Jason again. âThatâs for what you did to y/nâ. And knees him in the dick. âAnd thatâs for your stupid little game.â
Rushing over to Steve and helping him stand up she asks Steve if heâs okay.
âNever been better.â Steve says before pulling Kay into a kiss.
****
Outside Eddie finally catches up to you and manages to get in front of you.
âPlease please y/n let me explai-â
âYou were paid to take me out by the one person I hate the most. I knew this was a setup. And you lied to me about it. Made me feel like I was crazy for not trusting you.â
âY/n it wasnât like that okay!â
âReally Eddie? What was it then? A down payment for dating me and the bonus would come once you got into my pants?â
âNO! Y/N I DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE MONEY I CARED⊠I cared about you.â
âYou are so not who I thought you were, Munson.â
As you turned to leave Eddie grabbed you into one last kiss. If this is how he was going to lose you he was going to steal a kiss before you were gone. You pulled away quickly and ran out of the building holding back tears and Eddie stood in place doing the same.
****
As you sat on the porch of the cabin reading your novel, your sister Kay, your sister Eleven, Mike, and Steve Harrington walked on to the porch as a gaggle of other children piled into Steveâs car.
Eleven handed you a mug of coffee. âY/n. Are you sure you do not want to go to Steveâs lake house with us? It will be fun?â
âNo thank you. You guys make sure to have fun though.â
Kay came up behind Eleven and rested a hand on your shoulder. âBefore we go I just wanted to say thanks. For coming last night. It meant alot to me.â
You nodded your head and gave a slight smile.
Watching everyone pile into Steveâs car as Hopper came to sit with you on the porch.
âSo y/n. How was the prom.â
âIt was fine.â
âWell what was fine about it.â
âWatching Kay beat the hell out of Jason Carver was pretty fun.â
âSHE DID WHAT!â
âWhat? Mad I rubbed off on her?â
âNope. Just impressed and proud of my daughters thatâs all. All 3 of them. Such bad asses. Did something right I guess.â
He sat closer to you. âYou know y/n us fathers canât always admit when weâre wrong. Canât always admit when we have to start letting our kids grow up and live their own lives. I guess what Iâm saying is. Iâm gonna have a real hard time when youâre up at Indiana state.â
Your face lit up like a Christmas tree. âWait so youâre saying I can go?â
He nodded his head yes and you jumped onto him in an embrace that Hopper welcomed graciously.
****
As Ms OâDonnell stood in front of the class preparing the class for their presentation and mocking Jason about his black eye you couldnât help but stare directly at your desk. Eddie had actually shown up for class today and you didnât want to risk looking at him. When Ms OâDonnell asked for volunteers to read their sonnets you raised your hand and went to the front of the class.
Eddie had been watching you all period. Hoping you would look at him. Hoping you would show him any sign that you even cared he was there. But you hadnât. And now as you stood in front of the class about to read your poem Eddie wouldnât take his eyes off of you. Taking in the sight and memorizing you as you began to speak.
âI hate the way you talk to me.
I hate the way you donât cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my truck.
I hate it when you stare.â You glance up quickly from your work and your eyes meet Eddieâs. Itâs suddenly very hard to hold back all your pent up emotion. Upon seeing him all the love and pain and hurt youâd felt came rushing back and the tears began to well in your eyes.
âI hate your big dumb leather jacket and the the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick. It even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way youâre always right.
I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh.
Even worse when you make me cry.â By now youâre hardly looking at the words you wrote on the paper. Youâre looking at Eddie as the tears begin to become visible to him and your voice is getting higher and squeaky with every passing word.
âI hate it when youâre not around and the fact that you didnât call.
But mostly I hate the way I donât hate you. Not even close. Not even a little bit. Not even at all.â
Your face was beat red and the tears sliding down your face couldnât be stopped. Eddie felt his heart beat in his throat as he sat there and watched you cry. He almost wanted to stand up and kiss you right then and there and tell you it was all okay but he didnât. He watched you walk to your desk and grab your bag as you stormed out of the class.
****
The drive home from school was actually nice. Youâd turned up the music real loud and rolled down the windows to feel the wind. Taking the long way home from school. Pulling into your driveway at the cabin you couldnât help but feel relieved knowing youâd get to be alone for a while. Since Hopper was at work and everyone else was at Steveâs cabin.
Walking into your room you immediately stop and drop everything in your hands onto the floor. Walking towards your bed to pick up a green guitar that hadnât been there when you left. You rush to pick it up and hold it when a voice from behind you makes you jump.
âNice guitar right?â
âA fender strat? Is it for me?â
âWell that would explain why itâs in your bedroom right? Besides I had some extra cash lying around. Some asshole paid me to take out this really great girl.â
He said it with such sincerity that you couldnât help but smirk. âIs that right?â
âYeah but I screwed up big time. I uh. I fell for her. Pretty hard actually I think it might leave a bruise.â
âReally?â
Eddie scoffs and cups your face in his hands. âItâs not everyday you find a girl willing to flash someone to get you out of detention.â
You laugh and cover your face with your hands. Eddie removes your hands from your face and leans in to kiss you tenderly. You kiss him back but pull away.
âYou canât just buy me a guitar and kiss me Everytime you fuck up you know.â
âI know.â Eddie said as he kissed you on the forehead. âThatâs why they have bassâ a kiss on the right cheek now. âDrumsâ a kiss on the left cheek. âHell maybe even a synthesizerâ he kisses you on the lips more passionate this time. You allow it and lean into it.
Kissing Eddie back with more fervor as you begin to stumble back towards the bed and you reach for Eddieâs vest and begin to move it down his shoulders and he stops you. Cupping your face in his hands.
âHey. I mean it. You wanna stop at any point you say the word and we stop. I didnât give you the guitar to get laid.â
You tug his vest closer to you. âI know. Thatâs why youâre gonna get laid anyways.â
He has the biggest grin on his face as he leans in to kiss you again and backs you towards the bed until your knees hit it. He removes his vest and his jacket followed by his shirt but he stops there and turns his attention to you.
Tugging on the bottom of your shirt with a raised eyebrow you nod and he lifts it over your head. Inhaling once he sees your breasts. He reaches out and cups them firmly giving your nipples a squeeze making you moan. God heâs been wanting this since the day he saw them in detention.
Moving his hands down heâs groping you everywhere and running his hands up and down your torso as he begins to make out with you again. Pulling his lips away from yours he begins to pepper kisses down your jaw and neck and finds a sensitive spot just under your ear that makes you whine. Thatâs the spot he chooses to start sucking on.
âEd-â your breath hitches when he nibbles on that spot just a little bit. âEd, if my dad sees this youâre a dead man.â
He pulls away and reaches for your belt loops pulling your body flush against his. âThen Iâll die a happy man.â
His hands undo the button of your pants and you slide them down your legs and kick them off. Eddie pushes you gently onto the bed but doesnât move himself above you. Instead heâs still standing in front of you. Before he kneels next to the bed. âHey sweetheart can you spread your legs for meâ he whispers as he leaves a trail of kisses down your thighs. You do as he says and spread your legs and heâs able to see a wet patch right In the middle. He leans back and chuckles, causing you to sit up on your elbows slightly frustrated.
âWhatâs so funny down there?â
âOh nothing. Just thought you said I didnât have any effect whatsoever on your panties.â
You laugh and plop back down on the bed and take the initiative to start taking your own panties off since he wants to tease but he quickly sees this and grabs for them himself. Yanking them down the rest of the way and then bringing them to his face to sniff them before balling them up and shoving them In his back pocket.
Spreading your legs a little more using his hands Eddie begins to kiss up your thighs and nibble at parts making you whine. He uses his right hand to run a finger through your folds before running it over your clit making you jump. He can tell you're sensitive and getting worked up so he decided to just dive in. He needed a good meal today anyways.
Once he tastes you however his movements become almost ravenous. Like a vampire who hasnât had blood in centuries. You taste magnificent to him and he canât get enough. And judging by the loud moans you're eliciting he thinks you may be enjoying it too. He takes a finger and funs it down to your entrance and pushes in making your gasp out a moan as your hands fly down to Eddieâs hair stroking it.
He pushes his finger all the way in and curls it searching for a special spot. He pulls the finger out but when he pushes back in this time he adds a second finger and curls looking for that spot. When he finds it your whole body twitches underneath him and he smiles. He continues to pump his fingers in and out of you at an increasing pace once he can tell you are close by your increased moans and the tensing he can feel around his fingers.
Everything has hun so turned on that heâs practically humping the edge of the bed just to find some relief. You can feel the coil in you about to snap and youâre about to warn him when he adds a third finger and your orgasm washes over you without warning. Whole body convulses as you chant his name as if he were a god.
He helps you ride your high until you gently push his head away from being overstimulated. Pulling his fingers out of you he licks them one at a time until you grab his hand and pull him up to you. Choosing to lick the last finger clean yourself from wanting to know what you taste like. Eddie groans at the sight of it and he grinds down onto you causing you to moan against his fingers.
Eddie stands back up and looks at you. âAre you sure you want to do this?â
You gather some brain cells and attempt to. Iâd yes but Eddie isnât having that. Leaning over you and taking your chin in his fingers, he makes you look at him. âWords sweetheart. Now are you sure you want to do this.â
You take a deep breath. âYes Edâs. I want this.â
Now you sit up and begin undoing his pants for him because heâs taking too long and he lets you. He kicks off his jeans and boxers left standing in your room naked and your eyes fixed on his rather large cock. Heâs leaking a bit so you take him into your hand and stroke him a few times. He leans into your touch slightly before pulling away. âSorry baby but Iâm not going to last if we keep doing that.â
As he goes to his jacket to get a condom you stand up from the bed and he looks at you with confusion thinking you might have changed your mind. Instead you grab his hand and lead him back to the bed making him sit down first propped up against the headboard. You straddle his hips and take the condom from his hands.
Ripping it open with your teeth and throwing the wrapper on the table next to you. You take the condom and slowly roll it down his cock and fist it to make sure it fits well on him and he groans at the contact. You move to where youâre hovering right over his cock and you hold eye contact as you begin to slide down.
Eddie is bigger than youâve ever had so the stretch is a little painful but the kind of pain youâd do over and over again. You try to hold eye contact as long as you can but once heâs fully inside you, you canât help but throw your head back and roll your eyes once he bucks up into you.
Still feeling sensitive from your last orgasm and the way heâs filling up every sense you have, you're very aware that you wonât last long but you donât mind because youâre pretty sure he wonât either. You begin to roll your hips and bounce a little on him and Eddie is already a moaning mess underneath you.
His head is buried in the crook of your neck as he kissed and bites every spot he can reach as he fucks up into you. His hand reached down between the two of you and begins to rub your sensitive clit and you know youâre about to explode. You begin to bounce even faster and Eddieâs other hand around your waist is so tight that you know youâll have an Eddie handprint on your waist when this is over.
As Eddie feels you getting closer and knows heâs coming undone as well he moves his head back against the headboard and moves his hand from your waist to your face and makes you turn to look at him. As he thrusts up into you a final time you watch each otherâs expressions as your orgasms wash over the both of you and you sigh in relief as you rest your forehead against his. And his hand moves to rub your back gently as he pecks kisses all over your face.
As the two of you get cleaned up and redressed. The two of you end up dancing in your room half naked to a song that came over the radio. âI was made for loving youâ played as Eddie held you close to him. Being shocked back when the two of you heard the front door slam close and the sound of keys being thrown on a table is heard. Eddie quickly grabs his things and runs to the window as you follow with his vest in hand. You try to hand it to him but he refuses pecking a kiss on your head.
âKeep it. Itâll give me an excuse to come back and get it.â
âYouâre impossible Eddie Munson.â
âYou love me for it y/nâ
You roll your eyes. âI hate youâ
He grabs your jaw and pulls you into one last tender kiss. âYou wish you hated me sweetheartâ he says with a wink before he disappears from the window.
Y/N |Â March 1986Â
Being with Eddie was as natural as breathing, easy. Every moment I spent with him made the events of last year turn into a distant, terrifying nightmare, slipping to the back of my mind with every passing day. For every positive impact I had on him, he repaid towards me in ten folds, always outdoing me. Eddie fell into my life like I had been waiting specifically for him, I had just been in limbo, going through the motions of mundane day to day activities until he gave my existence meaning.Â
How he had gone from being one of the people I loathed the most on the planet, to one of the few I couldnât live without, gave me whiplash. After the first night Eddie snuck over to my house, we had fallen into an easy pattern in each other lives, as if weâd been a part of it since the beginning.Â
Despite having followed the same routine for a couple of months now, butterflies still churned excitedly within me as I got ready for school, the thought of seeing Eddie making me smile as I jumped lightly trying to get my jeans on. I grabbed the blue sweater that I knew he loved most on me and paused briefly in my full-length mirror at my bedroom door to double check my appearance.Â
My neck snapped back to scrutinise my face, a cold tremor running through me as I looked for a hint of the black lines haunting my skin. Deciding that it must have been the shivering shadow from the tree outside my bedroom window, I grabbed my bag and headed out through the door, slamming it shut tightly behind me.Â
I hesitated in the hallway as I noticed a bundle of wires swaying gently outside of the window above the entry table, my mouth hung open slightly as I walked over to see where they led to, but they disappeared up and over the roof gutter.Â
âSon of a bitch.â There was a thump and a static noise âTry tigers 86.â  Dustinâs thick voice sounded through his room at the end of the corridor. There was a whirring sound and the distant disturbance of clicking on a keyboard.Â
âHoly shit.â My mom swept past me with a quizzical look as she heard his swearing, the sleeves of her colourfully checked shirt rolled up and her blonde hair pinned back.
âWhatâs the hold up? You guys are going to be late.â I shrugged as she pounded on his door, my school bag slipped off my shoulder with the movement.Â
âDusty whatâs going on in there, youâre gonna be late.â She slid his roller door open as he screamed.Â
âDonât come in Iâm naked!â Our Mom gasped and slammed it shut, avoiding eye contact with me as she bustled back down to the kitchen, her face beaming red. I glanced back at the wires and tip toed to his door, pressing my ears against the grainy wood.Â
âIâm running out of time here.â He whispered; I opened the door back up again quietly. He was well and truly dressed and had his mouth against the talking piece of his ham radio, the voice of his long-distance girlfriend Suzie, crackling through the other end of it. I leant against the doorframe as I waited for him to notice.Â
âDo you see it?â He asked nervously.Â
âYeah I see it, Yikes Dusty.â He groaned in conformation, leaning back on his swivel chair. His eyes widened as he spied me in the doorway, my lips pursed disapprovingly. Â
âWhatcha doing there Dusty?â I teased, smiling wide as he faltered dangerously in his desk chair, narrowly saving himself from falling. I dropped my crossed arms and turned away, leaving his door open.Â
âHurry up, we still need to pick up Eddie and Max. Letâs goooo.â I called back loudly as he tapped his pencil against a note pad, hastily saying goodbye to Suzie. I swiped my keys from their hook in the entry way and nabbed a cold buttered piece of toast from the kitchen bench, muttering a quick farewell through a mouthful of food to my Mom, laughing as I noticed the colour hadnât completely drained from her face.Â
As I waited for Dustin and my car engine to warm up, I rubbed my temples as I leant against the head rest of my driver seat, a familiar migraine making an appearance. I hadnât been smoking nearly as much as usual lately, as Eddieâs presence sufficed far more for a distraction than pot did for me these days. The headaches were getting worse, but I knew as soon as I seen his infectious smile and felt his warm rough hand slide into mine, I would be okay. A hot blush crept up my neck as the thoughts of last night played in my mind, bruises matching Eddieâs long fingers adorned my hips as he tried to stop me from getting off of him from where we laid on the couch at his trailer.
âJust stay.â He had purred, nuzzling his teeth against my neck, making me laugh and squirm.Â
âI canât.â His puppy dog expression had tugged at my heart strings, but I had already spent the night at his three times this week, and it was only Friday. The passenger door of my car opened letting a spring breeze ruffle through my hair, snapping me out of my thoughts.Â
âAH AH AH.â I tsked, holding my hand up as Dustin slung his bag onto the floor, pausing midway as he jumped into the seat. Â
He rolled his eyes as he pulled the door shut behind him. âOh relax, your boyfriend can sit with you once we get there.â My blush deepened at his words, I pretended to ignore him as I turned back in my seat rigidly, lowering the hand break as I reversed down the driveway carelessly.Â
Eddie and I hadnât put labels on whatever we were, but we didnât argue the title whenever it was thrown around by the group. Yes, I admitted that we hung out all the time, said and did sweet things that made Steve and Robin and the kids fake gag behind our backs. But the word boyfriend just wasnât enough to describe Eddie, I needed something more permanent to reflect how I felt that I couldnât live without him. Geez, I thought, as I chewed on the inside of my cheek, not paying attention as I almost hit our neighbour's mailbox, when did I get so dramatic?
___________________________________
My headache was pounding painfully behind my eyes as we pulled up to the trailer park, Max was already waiting for us on the weathered steps of her home, but as I instinctively looked over towards Eddieâs van, I couldnât see the tell-tale cloud of cigarette smoke. I slowed to a stop on the shoulder of the makeshift dirt road and undid my seatbelt, jumping out as Max made her way over to us.Â
âGive me a sec.â I called, jogging across the dead grass towards the Munson trailer. I didnât hesitate as I tore up the steps, my shoes dislodging some of the flaking paint. I didnât bother knocking, Iâd practically spent more time here than my own home, essentiality becoming one of the permanents fixtures of the trailer. It was still early enough that Eddieâs uncle hadnât gone to sleep after his shift yet, he was lounging comfortably in the reading chair in the corner of the living room, a half-eaten sandwich balancing precariously on his knee as he flicked the page of a beaten paper back.Â
âHi Wayne.â He jumped at the door snapping back against the wall panels as I swung it open, dusting off my feet before stepping inside. The swirling cigarette smoke create a thick haze as it made my eyes water, I left the wooden door open to let the smoke flow through the screen.Â
âHey sweetheart, that time already?â He rubbed his eyes drowsily as he checked his watch. âHeâs been working a new song; he hasnât stopped since I got home. Yâknow where to find him.â He waved me on, and I smiled graciously at him as I turned down the hallway.
Wayne had accepted me and treated me with nothing but kindness since Eddie had tried to bring me home to officially meet his uncle, promising me that I had nothing to worry about when I argued against him. I had panicked that his uncle might not have been very receptive after the way Iâd treated Eddie, but as I hesitated in the doorway of his trailer with Eddie by my side, he had just smiled knowingly at me, clapped his nephew on the shoulder and laughed gruffly. âIâm glad you cut your shit out Eds, sheâs a pretty one.âÂ
I followed the familiar treaded footsteps in the aged carpet towards Eddies room, the soft music from his guitar flowing through his closed door as he hummed a tune to go along with it. The raging pounding in my head slithered away with each step that brought me closer, like it knew I was moments away from being in Eddieâs presence again. I paused at his door to marvel at the sweet sound of his voice mixing with the octaves of his instrument before I slammed it open with a loud smack, sending him sprawling off the edge of his bed, his guitar sliding from his lap.Â
I stepped through and nudged the door closed with the heel of my shoe as he watched me, he was shirtless, and his baggy jeans sat low on his hips from his belt being undone. The cigarette in the corner of his mouth fell to the carpet as his shocked face looked up to meet my laughing one. He quickly picked it up before it could create another burn hole in the fabric and crushed it in the ashtray.Â
âCâmon Munson, what are you doing? Get it together, we gotta go.â I squealed as he launched himself up from the floor at me, wrapping his arms around my centre and throwing me down onto the messy, warm covers of his bed, quickly pressing his bare chest against me. His wild mane of hair got tangled in the space between us as laughter consumed us both, his strands of curls finding their way between his lips. He pulled his hair away from his face as he leant down to kiss me, trapping me beneath his body as I squirmed and half-heartedly pushed back against him.Â
âCome on.â I giggled against his mouth as he rolled his hips down into mine, feeling his excitement growing. âWeâre gonna be late for the pep rally.â He moved his mouth to my neck and groaned, flattening himself against me, his weight knocking the breath right out of me.Â
âUgh, donât remind me. Iâm only going because youâre making me.â He pulled back to look at me, his eyes softening as they met mine as he shook his hand in the air in a rude imitation of cheerleaders shaking their pom poms.Â
âI donât wanna go either, but Robins playing in band, and I have to make sure she-.â I bit my lip as Vickieâs name almost slipped past, I had told Eddie almost everything about me, but that secret wasnât mine to tell. âI have to support Robin.â His eyes travelled down my chest as he playfully tugged at my sweater, either not noticing or not bothering to comment on my slip up.Â
âYou look nice today.â I cocked my eyebrows, jokingly acting offended. âYou always look nice y/n.â Eddie rolled his eyes as the corner of my lips lifted. âJust nicer than usual.â
I wrapped my arms around his neck as I lifted myself from his mattress to kiss him, but something caught my attention. I pulled back and narrowed my eyes as I squinted up at something glinting on his ceiling.Â
âWhat is that?â I questioned, he rolled off me slightly to the side to see what I was talking about.Â
âWhat?â He snapped, panicking about what Iâd found. âOh.â Relief flooded his voice as a wide grin spread across his face, his eyes following mine.
âI told you y/n, you agreed to come with me once weâve graduated. Iâm going to take a polaroid of us fucking in every state to make a photo album, I donât want to forget a single time with you. Thatâs just the first one.â He jerked his chin upwards, and I peered up at the sun glinting off the reflective surface, the outline of my naked back coming into focus, my face reddened as I saw where our two bodies connected in the photo.Â
âEddieâ I screeched indignantly, his expression clouding with glee at my tone.Â
âI said you could take the photo; I didnât say you could put it on display for everyone to see!â I sat forward on my elbows as he jumped up from his bed, staring at the strong contours of his back as I tried not to let my anger get sidetracked. The thought of his uncle seeing the photo sending a knot of panic and embarrassment through me.Â
âY/n, when you have art like that, you donât hide it away.â I huffed as he looked back at me from his dresser as he pawned through the messy draws, knowing that he was going to get away with it, as he always did. Knowing that I could never stay mad at him.Â
âSo dramatic.â He laughed, as he tossed his curls back and forth. I slid from his mattress and made my way across the room to him, wrapping my arms around him and pressing my wet lips against his back, I traced my fingertips across the top of his waist band. He shuddered at my touch and spun around to embrace me, I danced out of his grasp before he could trap me again. He groaned as I hesitated with my hand on the door handle, ready to make a quick escape, he palmed his boner through the fabric of his jeans as I smirked at him provocatively.
âWe really have to go Edward.âÂ
âOh Edward. Now Iâm really in trouble.â I smirked at him as I ran my tongue over my lips, laughing lightly over how well he knew me, I only called him by his full name when I was being serious, he learned to take me sincerely the hard way.Â
âTease.â He muttered, turning back to his draws and pulling a stretched-out Hellfire shirt over his head, from the small makeup stain on the collar I recognised it as the one he usually dressed me in after sex, he refused to let me wash it after Iâd worn it, saying that there was nothing on Godâs green earth that could compare to the smell.Â
Our first fight had come after I had sneakily washed a few things when heâd fallen asleep during one of the first times I stayed over. Eddie had said I had betrayed him on every level, so now whenever he visited my home, he would spray whatever he was wearing with my perfume in case I ever pulled a stunt like that again. I didnât argue as he slid on his vest and followed me back down the hallway, my skin prickling as I sensed his closeness behind me.Â
Wayne smiled lovingly at us both as Eddie ducked his head under the main door frame to avoid hitting it and I skipped down the steps, wishing us a good day.Â
The spring air whipped through my loose hair and the warm sun beat down, I turned as Eddie clapped behind me, holding his hands out towards me. âKeys.â He whistled, I stopped next to the driverâs side of my car as he pinned me against it, stopping me from opening the door.Â
âAre you serious?â I gasped as Dustin and Max stared at us through the back window.Â
âDeadly.â He raised his eyebrows as he held his hand out towards me.
âYouâre a terrible driver.â Â
âBetter than you y/n.âÂ
âYou drive like a maniac.âÂ
âYou drive like a grandmother.âÂ
âFine.â I snapped, holding the keys out in front of his open hands, I snatched them back as he reached for them. âBut weâre studying tonight after Hellfire, actually studying Eds.â His face dropped as he considered my deal.Â
âFine.â He relented as I dropped them into his outstretched palm, he followed me around to the passenger side to open my door for me. Dustin and Maxâs voices drifted from the back seats as I slid into mine.Â
âNo Dustin, I havenât spoken to Lucas, okay? So just drop it.â Max clipped her headphones over her ears and turned her walker up as loud as it would go, turning in her seat to stare gloomily out her window. My eyes looked up to meet my brothers in the rear-view mirror as a flicker of hurt crossed his features, shrugging his shoulders as his gaze met mine. The car rocked as Eddie pulled open his door and roughly fell into his seat, his jacket brushing against my arm.Â
âYour car is so low.â He complained grumbly, reaching down to let the seat back so he could stretch his legs comfortably.Â
âOW.â Dustin yelled as the seat slipped back too far and crushed him. I laughed as Eddie scooted it back forward.Â
âSorry kid sorry.â Dustin reached forward to fiddle with the dials on my radio as Eddie turned the engine over, leaning back in his seat after finding a station he liked but Eddie whacked his hand away as he slid in his own tape, I looked at him curiously as I spied my name on the cover.
âI made this for you last night after you left.â He explained and smiled at me sheepishly as warmth fired through me.Â
I watched Eddie cautiously as he slipped my car into reverse and slung his arm over my seat to look out the back window. He smiled as he caught me staring at him as the music started up, turning the wheel with his palm as he reached down to grab my hand with his free one, intwining his fingers through mine.Â
âGross.â Max and Dustin muttered in union as we sped off, the sound of my favourite songs being played by Eddie on his guitar, a mix of my own choice and some of his reverberating through the car.Â
___________________________________
âCORNER.â Eddie yelled out as he followed Steveâs BMW into the school parking lot, sending Dustin to launch into Max in the back seat. Gravel spun beneath the tires of my car with his sharp turn, flicking up towards the hoard of students trampling the freshly mown grass, making their way towards the gym. The sea of green and white parted as Eddie drove into a park furthest away from the main entrance, quickly speeding past Steve as he rolled to a stop in the middle of the road to let Robin out. She shouted out from the open passenger window of Steveâs car as we slipped by them, smiling at me as I turned in my seat to wave at her. My eyes flicked to the rear-view mirror as Eddie slipped the gearstick into park, to look at the towering forest trees behind the red bricked school buildings.Â
âHey wait up.â Robin quickly jumped from her seat and grabbed her band gear from the back of his car before jogging over to where we all slowly piled out. Steve raised his hand from the steering wheel in greeting towards us as his eyes flicked to where Eddie was rough housing with Dustin, as he reversed out of the school carpark his smile slipped from his face, avoiding my stare as he drove past. He was dressed in his uniform for the opening shift at Family Video, I reminded myself to drop by later to check in on him.
Even though I hadnât said anything, Dustin, Steve, Robin and Max had figured out pretty quickly the reason for my sudden return from the land of moping to my regular happy self. Eddie and I thought weâd successfully been sneaking around for about a week after he stayed at mine before Max slammed her hand down on the cafeteria table during lunch, I had just finished coming up with some lame excuse about needing to see Mr Mundy about an assignment when she spoke up, Robin nodding along in agreement beside her with a mouthful of food.Â
âOh, for Godâs sake y/n. We know about you and Eddie.â She sighed in exasperation as I froze, my eyes flickering across the busy dining hall to meet Eddieâs, he was half risen out of his chair the same as I, getting ready to meet me at our agreed spot in the woods. I had slumped back into my seat, embarrassingly resigned to tell them the truth that they both claimed, âwas so obvious, only an idiot could miss itâ. Â
After that, the group had welcomed him in with warm arms since we followed each other everywhere we went, well mostly welcomed him. Steve still sat on the fence about the whole thing, I figured that was mostly due to the fact that Eddie messed with his carefully stacked tapes at work when he wasnât looking, while waiting for me to finish my shift. Steve could never catch him, and Robin and I swore that he hadnât touched them, and that Steve was going crazy.
I had made Eddie stop though when weâd noticed that Steve was developing a little bit of a bald spot from the stress.Â
Not a lot had changed for Dustin except that he was around Eddie a whole lot more outside of Hellfire and school. Our mom was thrilled, giving me pointed looks every time his hands brushed the back of mine during dinner, after weeks of her badgering me Iâd finally agreed to invite him over, but only if we ordered in instead of cooking. Eddie had been a gentleman and told her that dinner was nice but not as good as her cooking, setting a huge smile on her face. Mom had insisted that he join us again soon, to which he painstakingly agreed to, I had laughed and told him it was his funeral. We had gone through the facade of saying goodbye and pretending to drive off before he walked back to mine after dark and snuck back through my window and stayed the night for the second time.Â
Dustin refused to acknowledge us as anything but friends, subtly nudging my door open wider whenever he passed us sitting in my room, intrusively invading our conversations if he saw we were laying on my bed together, giving Eddie death stares. As a result, we kept our more, physical activities to when we were at his trailer, or in his van, or at our spot in the woods or after a corroded coffin concert in the bathroomâŠÂ
Someone slipped their hand into mine as I watched the tail end of Steveâs car disappear around the corner, bringing me out of my thoughts.
âYou okay y/n?â I tightened my fingers around Eddieâs as I looked up to his warm brown eyes glinting in the sun, his face filled with care and concern exploded joy within me. He held the mixtape he had made for me up in the air, sliding it into my pocket when I nodded with a small smile on my face. He traced small circles on the side of my hand, tugging me towards the gym with everyone else.Â
âMax, Max.â Someone called out and I prodded her shoulder as Ms Kelley ran over waving to get her attention, she stopped and turned to where I was pointing, pulling her headset off. We all paused and waited for Max until the counsellor stared at us and waved us on, clapping her hands together and turning back to talk to her.Â
âWeâll catch up with you later I guess.â I muttered to her, I let Eddie pull me forward again and I tugged on Robin sleeve as she stood still, staring back at Ms Kelley with her mouth hanging wide as people pushed in against us from all sides.Â
âShit.â Groaned Robin âIâm going to be late.â She tossed her schoolbag at Dustin and ran towards the gym, struggling to shove her band hat on top of her thick head of curls as she shoved people out of her way.Â
The sounds of Cheers and screams erupted from the building as we made our way through the throng of bodies, I followed Dustin as he spurred forward with purpose across the room, not questioning where he was leading us. I felt Eddie turn rigid behind me and I looked back to give him a reassuring smile, squeezing his hand as he let me lead him forward, his eyes were darting all over the place, examining the teams' mascots running around and my old cheer squad as they danced out a choreograph Iâd learned a hundred times over. This wasnât his scene, and I appreciated his effort in venturing past his comfort zone for me. His jaw clenched as the Hawkins High basketball team ran into the gym, their sneakers slapping against the polished floor as they burst through a paper banner lead by Jason Carver.
My stomach churned as we came to a stop on a bleacher next to Mike Wheeler, the heat of the mass of bodies surrounding us engulfing me in seconds, I swung my hand back and forth to fan myself as I watched Jason snatch the microphone from its stand, the rest of his team lining up behind him as they hovered behind the cheerleaders dancing.Â
Eddie wrapped his arm around my waist as he whispered in my ear, low enough to not catch the attention of Dustin as he turned to talk to Mike. âAre you okay?â I twisted my head to get a better look at him as he tucked me into his body protectively, starring daggers at Jason, the look in Eddieâs eyes reminding me of the night I had told him what happened.Â
___________________________________
We had been sitting at the bottom of my driveway in his warm van after watching him perform at The Hideout, his jacket drenched in the smell of him was draped around my shoulders, weâd been reminiscing on the first time heâd been in my house as we passed a joint back and forth, and he'd questioned why Iâd been so upset. I hadnât wanted to even think about reliving what Jason had done let alone talk about it, but as Eddie sat there tracing light patterns up and down my arm as he waited for my answer, I knew that I wanted, no, needed him to know what happened.Â
He had let me get through my story without interrupting me once, just holding my hand and squeezing it when I became too choked up to continue, Eddie had wiped my tears and shaken his head when I said I didnât know why I was overreacting, murmuring to me that I had every right to be upset. He had let me drench his shirt in my salty tears, holding me for what felt like hours as I cried into his chest, stroking my hair and tightening his arms when I buried in against him. When my last sobs had finally wracked my body and my breathing had evened, he had pulled back to look at me with a vulnerable expression.
âYouâre perfect y/n, I am so sorry. I am never going to let anything bad ever happen to you again, okay? Here.â He had tugged his hand from mine and slipped off the simple silver ring on his pinkie finger, sliding it over mine and placing a soft kiss there before bringing his lips to each of my finger tips, my raw bitten nail beds glowing red in the moonlight.Â
âAs long as you have it, I will always be here to protect you.â If possible, my heart had swelled full of even more affection for Eddie, threatening to suffocate me as I threw my arms around his neck, overcome with tears for a whole different reason. After sneaking him into the house under my momâs sleeping nose, he had stayed with me the whole night in my room, reading âThe lord of the ringsâ out loud while I fell asleep against his chest.Â
And protect me it had, I had gotten into a habit that I had picked up from Eddie, to twist the ring around my finger instead of picking at my nails, they were thankful for it as they now grew to a healthy, pretty length. He hadnât gotten angry then, sensing that in the moment I had just needed him there with me, but each time he saw Jason at school his anger grew, no longer taking the bullying in his stride, sometimes voicing his violent thoughts and staring at him with the same look in his eyes that he had now, just waiting for a reason to arch up to Jason, until he would notice the look on my face and force a smile, assuring me that everything was okay and graciously distracting me with contagious laugh. I constantly worried for Eddie, that he would lash out at Jason, but after the last fight between them just before winter break, the basketball team hadnât been coming after him or his Hellfire club as much, thankfully not providing Eddie with a reason to go after him.Â
Screechy feedback sounded around the gym as Eddieâs eyes bored into mine, probing my face for an answer, but as long as I was in his arms, I would never not be fine. I leaned up on my toes to press a soft kiss under his jaw as Jasonâs sickening voice echoed through the microphone.Â
âUgh, get a roomâ A fiery head of hair appeared at Eddieâs elbow as Max made her way through the crowd, sending us a disgusted look.Â
âYeah, weâve got one, and itâs right across from where you live.â Eddie shot back, laughing at the look on her face as I elbowed him. The school band started up in a chorus of music as the cheer team finished their routine, I looked over through the crowd of uniforms to spot Robin falter slightly as her crush Vicki turned to look at her mid-performance.Â
âLook, Iâm not saying that my girlfriend is better than yours. Itâs just that Suzieâs, like, a certified genius.â Dustinâs voice broke over our unenthusiastic claps and I turned to look over at them.Â
âYou do realise that El saved the world twice, right?â Mike shot back, crossing his arms over his Hellfire shirt. Dustin screwed up his face and held up a finger.Â
âAnd yet you still have a C in Spanish.â The crowd erupted in a deafening cheer as the band drizzled off and the Cheer team did a series of spectacular flips, jogging off to the side to make room for the Tiger Basketball team to take the centre stage.Â
âGood morning Hawkins High.â I swiveled my eyes away from Jason as his fake thank you speech echoed off the walls, letting his words turn into a droll in the background, my eyes came to rest on Lucas Sinclair standing in the line of players, painfully sticking out of place as I watched him wave in our direction, Max tightened her arms around her and turned towards me, ignoring him.Â
My eyes snapped back to Jason as he mentioned Billyâs name, finding his stare already trained on my face, I felt Max stiffen at my side and I shot Carver a look of distain, hating him for speaking on something he knew nothing about and comparing it to a stupid basketball game that was playing tonight. Eddie, my brother, his friends and I stood still as everyone around us burst into cheers.Â
âTonight?â Mike gasped.
âHow is that possible?â Dustin yelled.
âThey call it a tournament; you win one game; you go on until thereâs only one team left.â Max leant forward across Eddie and me to look at Dustin, their expressions moving to Eddies in shock, but he wasnât paying attention as he stared down at my face, watching my reaction after Jason had mentioned Billy.Â
âCome on.â I murmured, laying my hand against his lean stomach under his shirt. âLetâs get out of here, weâll see you guys at lunch.â I called back over my shoulder as I headed out of the gym, ignoring the hands that shoved back as I pushed my way through the crowd, ignoring the stares and whispers towards us as people noticed us together, never letting go of Eddie.Â
I flinched as Mr Mundyâs chalk screeched against the board as he wrote out an equation, each stroke sending a violent vibration of pain through my head. I placed my face in my hands and leant down against my desk breathing in the scent of mouldy wood, turning my head to the side to peak through the curtain of my thick hair as Eddie tapped my chair leg with his shoe.Â
âAre you okay baby?â His eyes flicked up to the teacher as he moved closer to me, flashing his hand out to push my hair away from my face as he looked at me concerningly. I grunted and buried my face back into my fingers as a flare of agony pulsed through me. I heard something rude muttered on my right as Eddieâs eyes snapped up angrily, but I ignored it, breathing through my mouth as a wave of nausea washed over me. My heart stopped for a moment as the icy thought of pregnancy flashed in my mind, before I remembered that I had just finished my period. I took a deep breath as Mr Mundy called on me for an answer.Â
I lifted my head and squinted at the callously scrawled letters on the board, quickly doing the math to give him the answer so he could leave me alone.Â
âUh⊠Itâs 36.â He looked disappointed like he had hoped to catch me out on the wrong answer.Â
âYes.â He sighed, turning back to the board. âMoving on. Carol ââ I froze as my eyes landed on my reflection in the dirty windows lining the far side of the classroom on my left, the trees in the forest behind the school swaying slightly behind the image of my skin crawling with festering black lines. The face stared back at me as the irisâs darkened until they turned black completely. A ringing buzzed in my ears as it drowned out the drone of the teacher, I ripped my eyes away from the window and took three deep breaths, telling myself that when I looked back up it would be gone, just like it always did.
I was vaguely aware of a strong hand wrapping around my elbow, but my head swam as I glanced back up at my reflection, the wriggling black lines worming their way into the eye sockets and spewing from the mouth.Â
Iâm coming for him.
I shot up from my seat, knocking Eddieâs hand from my arm and interrupting Mr Mundy.Â
âMiss Henderson.â He exclaimed, but his shouts of protests quietened as I fled from the classroom, leaving my bag behind and my textbook still sprawled open on the desk as I pushed my palms against my eyes, trying to hold my brain back from blasting through my skull. My sneakers slammed on the linoleum as I threw myself forward, barely making it into the girls toilet down the empty hall before I flung the door open and collapsed to the floor in the end cubical, my cheek flattened against the cold patterned tiles, curling over in a ball as I pressed my fists into side of my head. The pressure behind my eyes raged like someone was beating on it from the inside out, my body convulsed as I couldnât hold back the next wave of nausea, I gripped onto the side of the open toilet and pulled myself up just in time, narrowly missing the sleeve of my sweater as I heaved. I slouched against the stall door once my stomach was empty, wiping my face with the back of hand.Â
Someone snapped the bathroom door opened, I straightened my shirt and tucked my hair behind my ears as I readied myself to stand up, the pounding in my head lessening with each step that brought the stranger closer. I got my feet under me and halted, my breath catching in my throat as the mixed smell of musk and clove cigarettes invaded my nose.Â
No
It wasnât possibleÂ
I shot my hand out against the wall in front of me causing it to wobble a little under my weight, my breathing sped up as the sound of heavy footsteps stopped just outside the stall I was crouched in.Â
Billyâs voiced sounded through the fragile walls. My eyes snapped closed as I hyperventilated.Â
âY/n.â His voice didnât belong to him, not the real him anyway, my mind flashed back to the flayed Billy. My vision blurred as my legs shook, I took a deep breath to try to steady myself and launched myself from the floor, balling my fists at my sides as I prepared to face anything. As I turned towards the main door, nothing but empty air stood in front of me, the echoing sound of Billyâs voice ringing off the cracks in the walls.
I watched it move out of the corner of my eye, so slowly that the seconds ticked by like hours, I turned to face a contorted version of me crawling through the mirror onto the dirty bench, her gruesomely snapped neck turned completely to the side as it paused to watch me shake. The hairs on my arms stood up as it unfolded itself in front of me, its limbs jerking out at odd angles as the fluorescent light above us flickered. I squeezed my eyes closed as tears filled them, but when I hesitantly let them flutter open, it had moved so close to me that I could see the black lines throbbing under its skin. I stumbled back in shock, a scream building in my chest as it lifted its claw in my direction.Â
Iâm coming for him
A violent image of Eddieâs lifeless body being ripped to bloody shreds forced its way into my mind, jamming itself down my throat until I was choking on the metallic taste of it. Tears streamed down my face as my scream faltered on my lips, the world tilted on an unnatural angle until my vision dwindled to thick blackness.
 Eddie | March 1986
The two youngest of my club slammed their lunch trays down in union against the top of our table in the cafeteria, interrupting my tantrum, the silver cutlery on them rattled loudly as Gareth chocked on his drink.Â
âSociety has to blame something. Weâre an easy target.â Warnerâs large frame shook in his seat next to me, his black leather jacket rubbing against his Hellfire t-shirt as he tossed his head angrily.Â
Iâd been in the middle of dramatically reading aloud from a newspaper which warned of the dangers of D&D, when I notice Little Henderson and Wheeler sliding into the empty chairs. I tossed the article aside carelessly next to my half-eaten lunch to lean froward impatiently, crossing my arms against my chest to hold my growing anguish inside of me.Â
âDustin.â My hair fell forward over my shoulders and tickled my chin as both his and Mikes faces flashed up to meet mine, prettified expressions reflecting back at me.Â
âWhereâs y/n?â Dustin eyes narrowed in annoyance at my mention of his sister, if my nerves werenât electrified with worry over her, I would have laughed.Â
âShouldnât you know?â He raised his eyebrows and shook his shoulders as the chatter died down around us nervously, Mikes gaze flicked between us as his picked apart the piece of fried chicken in front of him.Â
The slurping of Garethâs milk carton as he drained the rest of it, broke through the silence.Â
âYeah I should, but she ran out of class earlier like sheâd seen a monster, and I havenât seen her since.â I jiggled my knee up and down in frustration, the sound of the chain lining my jean pocket tinkled into the air as I swung my head back and forth to look through the crowds of students to stare over at Robin and Max, the former raised her eyebrows at me curiously, the question reflected in her wide blue eyes.Â
Whereâs y/n?Â
My eyes shot over to the table filled with hulking figures clad in white and green basketball jerseys, laughing as they re-enacted out moves from their stupid game last night. A surge of panic and violent anger shot through me as Jason Carvers eyes met mine, his steely smile leaving his eyes as we glowered at each other across the room. I brushed the thought that he had done something to my girl away from my mind, she was probably just sick and decided to go home, or she might have remembered an assignment due and got caught up studying. Wherever she was, I would find her and make sure she was okay.
I had collected her books and stuff sheâd left behind on her desk after Calculus finished, sticking my head into empty classrooms in the hallway and even getting a freshman to check the girls bathroom for me, after Iâd swung by the library without any success, Iâd figured sheâd be with Robin and Max at lunch, but seeing her empty chair where she should have been rightfully laughing and stealing blushing glances from me across the crowded cafeteria, shot stabs of pain through my centre.Â
Dustinâs voice cut through my thoughts as I half raised out of my chair, swiping her bag from between my legs and slinging it up over my shoulder.Â
âSo uh, speaking of monsters, uh, Lucas has to do his uh, balls-in-laundry-basket- game.â He gestured towards me with a laugh, as I stared back icily, my patience running thin as my mind turned over where I might find y/n.Â
âSo⊠heâs not gonna be able to make it to Hellfire tonight.â Mikes gaze probed my face as Dustin laughed, his voice trailing off as he took in my expression.
âAnddddd I know thereâs no way we can beat your sadistic campaign without him.â Garethâs, Jeffâs and Warnerâs eyes flashed between the two of us as his words washed over them.
âSo me and Mike, we weâre talking.â Mike turned away from Dustin as he waved his hands between their chests. âShooting the shitâ he turned back to me as I stared back unblinkingly. âAnd we were thinking that maybe we mightâŠâ He stuttered over his words as Mike huffed beside him.Â
âPostpone!â He yelled, interrupting Little Henderson, I sighed and shut my eyes as the table erupted around us.Â
âPostpone!?âÂ
âCanât just drop this on us!âÂ
âOver my dead body.âÂ
âShuttup.â I yelled, they fell silent as Gareth groaned in frustration beside me, his face contorting as he bit back a remark. âYouâre saying Sinclairâs been taking in by the dark side?â I asked as Dustin nodded his head, avoiding my gaze.Â
âSomething like that.â Mike stupid face looked over at me with his mouth hanging open.Â
âSomething like that.â I repeated, sneering as I threw a hard piece of food at him. A senior with glasses and a frizzy perm looked back at me frightened, as she passed our table.Â
âJesus Christ.â Little Henderson huffed, dusting his crumbs off of his hat. Â
âAnd rather than find a sub for him.â I continued, drawing out my words slowly so the pair of morons wouldnât miss what I was saying. âYou want⊠you want to postpone⊠the cult of Vecna?â I let my brows raise in disbelief as Mike floundered to find the right words.Â
âIâŠI donât want to postpone it. We donât want to postpone it. Itâs just that most of the subs⊠will be at the championship game.â I wrenched myself from the table and turned away from them, my eyes flashing back over to Carver as y/nâs tear-soaked face burned in my mind. I balled my fists and I strolled over to stand behind the freshman. I leant down to their level and slung my arms over their shoulders.Â
âYou boys, are the future of Hellfire.â They smiled unsure as I tightened my grip on both of them. I pulled Dustin closer to me as he drummed the table with his fingers.Â
âI knew it the moment I saw you. You sat on that table over there, looking likeâŠâ I relinquished my grip on Mikes collar to point towards the table at the corner of the hall. âLooking like two little lost sheep.â They giggled nervously as my smile slipped a little.Â
âYou were wearing a Weird Al T-shirt, which I thought was brave.â I turned to Dustin as he slowly nodded his head.Â
âThankyou.â He whispered.Â
âMike, you were wearing whatever shit your mommy brought you from the goddamn Gap.â The members of Hellfire exploded into laughs as I tensed my arms, ripping Little Henderson and Wheeler up from their chairs. They both froze under my hands as I lead them around the table.Â
âAnd we showed you that school didnât have to be the worst years of your lives, right?âÂ
âNo, no no.â They agreed together.
âOkay, well Iâm here to tell you that there are other little lost sheepies out there who need help.â They followed my fingers as I pointed it around the dining hall at the plethora of students sitting by themselves.Â
âWho need you.â I spun them back to face me. âAnd all you guys gotta do, is get your Bo-peeps on and go find one.â I pulled them into my body to shove them harshly away from me, shaking my head at their quickly retreating figures as they stumbled, and Mike looked to Dustin for conformation. I jogged back around the table to snatch up my metal lunch box and y/nâs things.Â
âWhere are you off to Eddie?â The overhead lights glinted of Jeffs braces as he smiled widely at me, the rest of the table watching me knowingly as I bounced with anticipation.Â
I turned back to look at them as I headed for the exit door that opened right onto the school field. âAs for me, Iâm off to find my girl.âÂ
My mood darkened further as the last shimmering rays of the blazing orange sunlight disappeared beneath the horizon, a warm spring breeze ruffled my vest as I looked around the full school car park as students returned to watch the championship game, music, shouts and the Cheer mantra pouring out of the gym. I squinted as headlights poured over me, momentarily blinding me as I held up a hand to cover my face, anticipation curled in my stomach as the car turned into a park as I looked to see what colour it was, disappointment washing over me when I didnât recognise it as y/nâs cream Ford Escort.Â
It was Steve Harrington though, and I had half crossed the road to ask him if heâd seen y/n around before he jogged around to the passenger side and helped a blonde out of the seat, wrapping her hand around his arm as they headed off with the rest of the crowd. I sighed as I stepped up from the sidewalk, heading back into the dark school building. When I hadnât been able to find her anywhere after I practically tore the school apart looking for her, I had half hoped she would turn up for Hellfire tonight. An ugly ball of nerves and fear brewed in my abdomen, the only relief being y/nâs pretty bright eyes, filled with life so that I knew she was safe.
She hadnât been at home sick either when I dropped in after school, there was only one place I was going to double check after the campaign, but if I didnât set eyes on her by tonight, I was going straight to the new chief of Hawkins Police, my bad reputation with them be dammed, Iâd start the fucking search party myself if they didnât do anything.
âHey Eddie, come on.â I turned to see Gareth and Jeff waving at me from the end of the dimly lit corridor, I followed after them to take my seat in the stuffy drama room, the finale of the campaign laid out in front of me on the dusty tabletop.Â
As Mike and Dustin walked in to stand at the door, I thought for a wild moment that they had gotten Lucas to make the right choice, but as she stepped forward from the shadows with a full-size American Flag wrapped around her shoulders, the overhead theatre lights reflecting on her familiar features, I realised that she definitely had to be a Sinclair.Â
âAbsolutely not.â I rested my elbows on the arm rests beside me, bundling my fists together.
âYou asked for a sub. We delivered.â Dustin stood next to her as he gestured over to where she stood in her four-foot glory, grasping a pink folder against her chest.Â
My chair creaked as I leant forward. âThis is Hellfire club, not babysitting club.â My heart twisted as I thought back to the same words I had muttered to y/n months ago when she had stood in front of me in the same way.Â
âIâm eleven you long haired freak.â I grinned in shock at her voice, she might have looked like Sinclair, but she had bigger balls than him.Â
âMy my, the child speaks.â I looked around at the other Hellfire members standing by side. Warner chortled as I launched myself from my throne across the room. Â
âSo, whatâs your name, child?â She stepped forward to meet me halfway, Mike and Dustinâs faces watched us nervously.
âErica Sinclair.â She said proudly, puffing her chest out as she didnât back down from me. I pulled my lip back as I chuckled at her tone.Â
âSo this is Sinclairâs infamous sister.â I didnât need the conformation as she turned to look back at the freshman.
âHeâs sharp.â She teased, causing the others behind to snigger, I snapped my neck at them, they fell silent as they caught my glare.Â
âWhatâs your class and level?â I challenged. âLevel one dwarf?â The guys erupted into raucous laughter, setting a smile on my face even though I was sure it was forced.Â
âMy name is Lady Apple Jack. And Iâm a chaotic good half-elf rogue, level 14.â The laughter died down behind me and the grin faltered from my face. âAnd I will sneak behind any monster you throw my way and stab them in the back with my poison-soaked kukri. And Iâll smile as I watch them die a slow, agonizing death. So, we gonna do this? Or we gonna keep chitchatting like this is your mommyâs book club? âÂ
Little Henderson and Mike shared an impressed glance as I stared back at her unflinching eyes, as she waited for me to challenge her again. Seconds of heavy silence passed by before I extended my hand into the space between us, smiling as I nodded approvingly as whispers broke out around us.Â
âWelcome to Hellfire.âÂ
Erica slid her eleven-year-old palm into mine and shook it firmly.Â
I hung back as my club thundered down the hallway, watching them pat each other on the back as their shouts of glee echoed off the lockers, Jeff leant over to bang on them excitedly, setting them off in a ringing rattle. I crossed my arms and leant against the door frame with a smile as they pushed the glass doors open into the night air, Dustin high fived Erica as he jumped into the air and kicked his heels together, turning around to embrace Gareth as they got lost in the crowd of people filing from the gym, waving pom poms and colourfully decorated signs around as they swarmed to find their cars.Â
I basked in the moment of their victory for a split second before I spun around, ripping my vest and jacket that was hung over my chair inside of the drama room and jogged down the now eerily empty and cold corridor, pulling them on over my arms as I headed for the back door, the brisk air whisked my hair around my face as I hesitated on the landing outside, pulling a cigarette from my vest pocket, I cowered over to protect the flame of my lighter from the wind. I stood up straight and inhaled deeply, watching the cherry of my smoke blaze red hot before jumping down the steps.Â
Loud shouts of laughter spread along the outside of the building out of eyesight as I jogged across the darkened field, the wet grass squelching beneath my sneakers as I took long strides, keeping up the same pace as I jumped over the fence and headed to our spot in the woods, my heart clenching excitedly as I convinced myself she would be there waiting for me. Icy disappointment drenched me as I burst into the clearing, darkness pressing in from all sides as I stared around at the empty table, eery silence bursting on my ear drums as I fled the scene, panic ripping its way up my throat as my mind spun, wondering where the hell she was. I paused as I broke free of the tree line, watching a large group of uniform clad students crossing the field, their laughing faces glowing under the moonlight as they passed cans back and forth.Â
I shoved my hands further into the pockets of my jeans as I warned myself away, knowing I should probably take the outskirt path of the field because if I ran into Jason Carver in this state, I had no doubt that Iâd take out my frustrations and worry on his preppy, snobby face. I had half turned away before I spied a head of loose, flowing hair that I would recognise anywhere, glistening in the moonlight beside them. I launched myself over the chain link fence before a sane thought had the chance to enter my mind, angrily jogging over as she walked in between Jason and his cronies, facing away from me as they headed to the school parking lot. She was wearing the same thing I had seen her in this morning, except she had someoneâs basketball jersey slung over her shoulder now. Black rage fired through me as I watched Jason reach over to pull her into his side, the groups laughter drifting back to me over the wind.Â
Dark shadows swirled across us as the bright moon ducked in and out between the thick clouds above, an urge of violence pulsed through me as Carver stroked his fingers up and down her arm, picturing myself peeling them from her and snapping them individually. I called out as soon as I was close enough to smell the stench of grog radiating off of them.Â
âY/N.â She tensed as she heard my voice cut through the night air, slowing her pace automatically as the basketball team turned to face me, their faces lighting up like Christmas had come early as the saw me.Â
âWhat the hell are you doing here.â I snapped at her, ignoring the insults that the jocks surrounding her, were throwing my way. My blood ran cold as she turned to face me. The spring breeze that turned icy after the sun set, whipped her hair around her head wildly as the others passed beer cans back and forth as their eyes flickered between us.Â
Warm eyes that had stared at me adoringly for the past three months that healed every raw wound beneath my surface. Soft lips that had kissed every inch of my body and wiped away excruciating nightmares when I woke up in her arms. Gentle hands that had caressed my hair and trailed across my bare skin as she wrapped herself around me, where nowhere to be found as y/n turned to stare at me. Hate clouding her every feature as she narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips like I was something disgusting. My stomach dropped at as she glared at me unflinchingly, panic setting in as I struggled to understand what was happening.Â
âDo you have any idea how long Iâve been looking for you?â She remained tight lipped and silent as Jason laughed beside her, my eyes flashed to his flushed face menacingly, pure unyielding rage flooding through me as he brought his beer to his lips.Â
âYeah, sheâs been busy Munson.â He raised his brows and gestured to where she stood shaking slightly, I ran my eyes over her body, noticing that my favourite blue sweater of hers was messily buttoned up, like someone had tried to fix it in a haste. My stomach dropped as I looked back at her face, the blood draining from it as she avoided my stare.Â
My thin wall of resistance snapped as I turned and launched myself at Jason, my fists already balled up at my side. He dropped his drink as he measured up to face me, his cronies flying in behind him to back him up. But y/n was quicker, she wedged herself in between us, placing a small hand on both of us as she turned to face him completely, resting back against my chest.Â
âStop, stop Jason. Iâll catch up with you okay, just⊠just give me a minuet.â She shoved him slightly when he didnât move, his eyes blaring into mine as I breathed deeply, my chest heaving as I stared him down.Â
âGo.â  Y/n shouted, jostling his shoulder. âIâm right behind you okay.â She promised. He glanced down at her between us before smirking back up at me, spinning around and whistling to his team as they followed after him. My eyes didnât leave his back until they were well out of earshot, their swaying figures growing smaller in the distance as they crossed the fresh grass.Â
Y/n stayed pressed against my chest facing away from me as I stared over her head, refusing to move. The night air washed away her heat as she sighed and stepped away from me, shivering, wrapping her arms around her core before she turned to face me.Â
âWhat the fuck y/n?â I spat out at her, rage and hurt throbbing through me as the quietness closed in around us, looking down as she hung her head. She took a long, deep breath before squaring her shoulders. She looked back up at with me foreign, steely resolve in her eyes.Â
âWhat?â She spat back, venom dripping from her tongue.
âWhat do you mean what? What the fuck is this?â I swore, searching her face for an answer.Â
âWhat did you expect Eddie?â She looked back at me like she had no idea what I was talking about, or why I was so enraged.Â
I took a cold breath to steady myself as her words made my head swim, threatening to choke me and pull me under. âY/n, please just tell me whatâs going on?â I begged, letting my anger slip from my face so it was just pain that shone on it. Something raw flickered across her features before she clenched her jaw, her eyes hardening.Â
She turned to leave, and I shot my hand around to trap her wrist, sparks flew up my arm as my skin brushed hers, she spun back to face me as her eyes flashed. I thought back to the first night at hers, and the promise Iâd made her.Â
âStay?â I pleaded, watching her mouth as I waited for her to swear the same thing that Iâd done for her. Pain glimpsed on her face, too quick that I almost missed it.Â
âEdward.â My heart dropped at my name, as she took a breath and looked back up at me.Â
âThis was nothing, the past few months.â She uttered the words as she scoffed and looked away at the last of the crowd trickling out of the car park, their headlights disappearing over the hill.Â
âEddie I was bored for god sakes; did you really think that I could like the Freak? That anyone could? Fuck man, I just wanted to use you to piss off my mom, but that clearly didnât work, and I couldnât keep up pretending. I canât stand you, this entire thing was a joke, I planned it Eddie. And you were stupid enough to fall for it.â She leaned froward on her toes as she spat the last part at me, revulsion spreading across her face as she watched the damage her words cut through me.Â
âIt meant nothing.â I stumbled back a little as I mumbled for her to stop, searching for the lie in her cold, empty eyes.Â
It wasnât there.Â
I held up a hand in the air between us like I could shield my heart from the final blow that was about to crush it forever, beyond repair.
Y/n stood up straight and looked me up and down, sighing, like I was a pathetic, broken creature that she pitied. The silver moonlight broke through the clouds for a second, illuminating the honest creviceâs on her pretty face.Â
âYou meant nothing.â Her eyes never left mine as she twisted my ring off of her hand, letting it tumble and fall through her thin fingers onto the wet grass beneath us.Â
 Y/N | March 1986
I cringed as the sting of whiskey slid down my throat, taking another swig of the bottle as the first mouthful didnât do anything to lessen the pounding in my head. I let the bottle rest between my knees, I was sitting on a fallen tree stump outside of the abandoned âBennyâsâ, the flames of the raging fire in front of me burning into my face, sending sparks up into the pitch black night but I couldnât care, I welcomed the pain as a distraction from the night. Cold air whipped behind me as I brought the tip of the bottle back to my lips, scrunching my eyes shut and tilting my head all the way back.
âCareful there sweetheart.â I looked up across the circle of the basketball team, the shadows from the fire flickering across their drunken expression, to see Jason watching me, his face swam in and out of focus as my grip slackened on the glass, raising it in his direction as he walked over to me. âItâs strong that stuff.âÂ
âI think Iâm old enough to say when Iâve had enough Carver.â I sneered, dangerously swaying back and forth as I took another deep gulp, spilling some down my front.Â
âYeah sheâs a big girl, did you see the way she handled that Freak, Jason?â Andy, one of his teammates called out from across the group, leering at me as Jason slumped down next to me. My eyes flicked up to meet Lucas Sinclairâs, a stab of pain and embarrassment pulsing through me before the alcohol crushed it, Lucas stared back at me terrified as Jason ran his hand up and down my leg.Â
âMmm I donât know Andy; I think she liked the Freak.â A dangerous chuckle ran through the circle, everyoneâs eyes suddenly trained on me, I looked around for a friendly face, suddenly realising that I was the only girl. My vision blurred together as everyoneâs identical uniforms mashed together, I swept my head back and forth to try and find Lucas again, but heâd disappeared from the group. My stomach churned as Jason leant in close to me, trapping my jaw between his fingers as he forced me to look at him.Â
âSo what about it y/n? Did you like the Freak?â His breath washed over me as I stumbled back against the tree log, trying to pull myself from his grasp. The world suddenly turned on its axis as his fingers tightened. He brought his lips to my ears so only I could hear.Â
âDid you let that Freak fuck you y/n?â I ripped myself from his grasp and I tumbled back against the fallen tree, my legs gently swaying off of it as my head smacked against the bark roughly, I felt Jasonâs cold fingers trace my bare skin above my jean waist band as I laid back, ignoring me as I cried for him to stop, the alcohol slurring my words together as laughter surrounded me. Jason shushed me as he moved beside me, his body blocking the fire as he moved above me.
âY/N.â It wasnât the voice I wanted to hear, but it still sent a feeling of safety through me, I turned my head to watch Steve storm across the beer can littered dirt patch to where we all sat, his hair flapping wildly and his blue jacket whipping in the wind, shoving the basketball players out of his way as his swung his bat full of nails around menacingly. Jasonâs heavy form was ripped off of me, cold air caressed my bare skin from where my shirt had been pulled up.Â
âGet off her asshole.â There was a thud and the sound of something smacking flesh as a groan echoed into the night. I couldnât see who he was talking to but I heard the footsteps fall back.Â
âYeah? Try it.â I watched the shadows dance as Steve swung his bat back and forth, dropping it the side as he leant down to pick my drowsy form up, leaves and broken bark fell from me as he lifted me up, sliding me easily over his shoulder before picking the bat back up. He pointed it at the group of basketball players as he stormed back past them to keep them away, I was swaying dangerously as I pressed my hand against my mouth, watching the trees of the forest reach out after us as Steve jogged around the side of the building back to the main entrance. I groaned as he emptied me into the back seat of his car, parked hastily across the carpark of the abandoned restaurant.Â
âAre you gonna be sick y/n?â I shook my head as he lowered himself to my level, searching my face concerningly, not believing me as I gagged.Â
âIâm gonna get you outta here okay? Just please tell me if I need to pull over, God what were you thinking y/n?â He tucked my legs inside the door before closing it lightly, jogging around to the driverâs seat and slamming it closed behind him, quickly locking it as he turned the engine over, the car purred to life beneath me as it vibrated with power.Â
âSteve.â His eyes flashed to mine in the rear-view mirror, sadness crossing his face like he knew what I was going to ask.Â
âHow did you know where to find me?â I hiccupped as the whiskey threatened to make a reappearance. He sighed as he slid his car into reverse, turning the heater on for me as I shivered.Â
âEddie.â He mumbled, turning back to look at me with pity reflecting on his face.Â
I fell back against the seats as the excruciating pain in my head, and the anguished pain in my heart pulled me under into dark blissful serene depths.Â
My head lolled back in the crook of Steveâs arm as he stumbled under my weight on uneven ground, panic shot through me as I recognised the beat up blue and white weather boards of Eddieâs trailer, I struggled against Steveâs chest, but he took a left and jogged up a different set of stairs. He kicked the wire door with his shoe three times, shrugging his shoulders and breathing heavily as he looked around us. Maxâs sleepy voice drifted through the silent night as the door opened up with a slight smack against the wall, her annoyed tone turning to one of shock as Steve pushed past her through the entry way. I slipped in and out of consciousness as he laid me back against a bundle of blankets on the sofa in the trailer living room, slipping a couch pillow under my head as I turned away from him.Â
âWhatâd you bring her here for?â Max whispered angrily as she slammed the door back shut behind us, rushing over to tuck the blankets around me and brush sticky hair away from my face, her voice faltered as she noticed the tears streaming down my cheeks.Â
âWell I couldnât very well take her to her house, and my parents are actually home for once.â He crossed his arms and scratched his chin as Max turned towards him.Â
âWhat happened?â She tugged her oversized blue jumper around her thin frame tighter, Steve lowered his voice, but I could still hear him.Â
âI think something happened with Eddie, he called me â she was drinking with Jason and the other guys.â As I reached up for feel for another pillow to drown their voices out, my fingers brushed something hard, I pulled Maxâs Walker from between the cushions. My fingers fumbled with the buttons as I reached down in my pocket, pulling the tape that Eddie had made and switching it out with the one that was already geared up to go. I clumsily slipped the headset on over my ears as I pressed play, the sweet sound of Eddies guitar playing my favourite song echoing around my skull as I turned it up as loud as it would go.Â
My breathing came easier as my pounding headache slipped away with each beat of the song, I lent up against the pillows to watch as someoneâs faltering headlights flashed across the window into Maxâs living room. My breathing froze in my throat as I watched fog swirl across the brake lights of Eddiesâ van as he screeched to a stop into his makeshift park across from us. I felt someone come up behind me as my body ran cold and my heart stopped beating, watching the familiar blond ponytail bob back and forth as she jumped from his passenger side wearing her cheer uniform, as she skipped around the front of his van.Â
Eddieâs deep voice started singing in my ears through the headset as I watched Chrissy Cunningham follow him up the stairs, smiling sweetly as he opened the door for her.Â
Shoutout to everyone still active in the Eddie Munson fandom in December. We're the real ones.
Imagine curling up with Eddie on your bed and watching Christmas movies together, even in the middle of summer. Just cuddled up together, nice and comfy, the comforting sounds and feelings radiating from the movie on the television combining with the warmth from both of your bodies softly intertwined together making it lovely and cozy in the room. You can't help but wish this moment wouldn't end. <33
Imagine sitting on Eddie's bed, comfortably propped up and reading your book while rock music plays softly over his radio. He's practicing his guitar at the foot of his bed, gentle strums of the strings filling the air along with the soft music from the radio as you turn the page of your book, the pages making soft riffling sounds. Probably the best reading music ever.
@lesservillain Halloween fic thingy :]
Grave - Why did you thought being a night time groundskeeper at your local cemetery was a good idea? At least you have your cute coworker to keep you companyâŠ
The cemetery was filled with the still autumn air. It could be confused for warmth, but you still pull your sweater tighter around you. The dead leaves crunch under your feet as your flashlight sweeps the dirt path in between the two halves of the cemetery. Suddenly you feel a hand on your shoulder, breath on the nape of your neck. "Took you long enough" Eddie says, his face coming into your vision as he leans over your shoulder.
"I was only 10 minutes late, Eddie" You say with a chuckle as he spins to stand in front of you. He's always a little messy, wearing a Hellfire Club shirt even though you have no idea what the hell that even is, under his black leather jacket. Always. Without fail. But he's kind of cute, with those dimples and Bambi eyes, and even freckles if you look close enough. He's always so quiet, you never hear him coming. If you think you hear the leaves crunch, no matter where you turn he always ends up behind you.
Eddie sighs dramatically "Too late, far too late." He says. You roll your eyes a little, both of you now walking down the path. His footsteps are almost silent under his white shoes, so much so it distracts you from the teasing remark you were about to make. "How do you even do that?" You ask, still looking down at his slightly muddy white shoes. "Do what?" Eddie asks, still walking without a sound. You'd expect slightly heavy footsteps from those bulky sneakers, but...nothing. "Walk so quietly?" You explain. Eddie just shrugs
"Guess I'm just light on my feet" He says. You don't think much more of it. The walks with him through the cemetery are always calm and nice, although a little cold. He's slightly dramatic yet kind, always finding something to talk about. Yet his music choices are a little outdated. Every time you mention even the most popular of things, he just looks confused.
You see a teen with dirty blonde hair holding a can of spray paint, muttering something about a murderer. You don't even have time to rush up and shoo him away before he sprays that exact word on a poor someone's grave. Eddie looks pissed, and doesn't even run up to the kid to stop him. The teen looks up and his eyes widen, he falls back and just runs. "Well, at least we got him out of here" You say, walking up to where Eddie's standing at the grave. He looks hurt, angry. A mixture of emotions. "I didn't do it." He says, wiping his eyes. "It wasn't me"
You're confused, narrowing your eyes as you look down at the grave before you look back up to your favorite coworker. But it catches your eye like no other has. Just under the red spray painted word is the name "Edward Munson"...
And he died 37 years ago.
Eddie Munson. The sour tang that fills ur mouth when his voice registers through ur ears, is unsettling. Eddie Munson had been nothing but cruel to you for the past 3 years. You had no idea why. You had even tried to be his friend, but that was three years ago and you didnât want to relive that moment.
You could sense his hateful stare on your back from across the cafeteria, something that wasnât foreign to you. Ever since you moved to Hawkins, Eddie had hated your guts. Why? You had no clue. You had never called him any mean names, only approached him once.
It was sophomore year and your first day at Hawkins High. You had no friends and you were feeling particularly lonely. You watched the boy from your corner of the cafeteria. The way his chocolate brown curls bounced as he got up from his seat. The way his usual puppy dog, doe eyes turned into oneâs full of pure anger and hate as he stared down one of the jocks. The way he climbed up on top of his table and screamed at that same jock from across the room. Watching as he made devil horns and stuck out his tongue and made devilish noises. It had made you giggle, you thought he was brave for that.
You hadnât even realized you had ended up at his table. Your feet had almost carried you there before your brain could process anything. âWhat do you want?â he barked at you, braking you from your trance. âI-Iâ you couldnât even get the right words out. He was so intimidating, but you liked it. âIf you came here to make fun of me, you should save your breath.â He looked at you with his big brown eyes, something was behind them but you couldnât quite tell what it was. âNo! I just wanted to say what you did back there was really brave and really cool of youâ you finally managed to get out. There was a beat of silence before Eddie was back on his feet, staring you down only inches away from your face. âYeah well I didnât do it for you so you can fuck offâ the pure hatred in his eyes had caused you to back up and almost run out of the cafeteria, tears welling up in your eyes.
Little did you know, after you left the cafeteria one of the boys at his table had spoken up. âThat was really harsh Eddieâ it had been Dustin Henderson who had dared to speak up against the dungeon master. âYeahâ Mike Wheeler had agreed, along with all the other boys who sat at Eddieâs table. âShe was probably just like the rest of them, if I had indulged she would have just played some stupid fucking joke on meâ Eddie had replied with a tint of sadness and regret behind his eyes. âHad she been genuine?â He thought to himself. He was soon filled with nothing but guilt and regret.
Ever since that day, it seemed as though Eddie felt nothing but hatred towards you. Always burning holes in your back with hate-filled daggers from across the room, always whispering hateful things in your ear whenever he could. It had been three years and you had had enough. Usually you returned his snarky comments, giving the same energy back to him. But today was different.
You had already been having a rough day. First, you had gotten in a fight with your parents, over nothing particular, just them being complete and utter assholes to you for no reason. It didnât end there. Once you got to school, you had over heard some cheerleaders talking about you. Normally, their cruel words wouldnât have effected you, but today it left you with a bitter taste in your mouth and a heavy heart.
You had made your way to the girls bathroom, only to end up sobbing against the bathroom floor with your head in your hands. God knows how long you were in there before finally getting up and trying your best to fix yourself up in the bathroom mirror. By the time you got to class, you could feel the tears you had tried so hard to push away trying to escape your eyes once more. You hadnât even realized someone was talking to you until you felt a hand on your shoulder.
You turned to look at whoever was attempting to talk to you. There he was, the last person you wanted to deal with today. Your glossy, red eyes met Eddieâs hate-filled, brown ones. âDamn y/n whoâs got you looking like such a mess today?â You only glared at him in response. âWas it Jason? Or was it Andy? Or maybe it was Patrick? Too hard to keep up with all the guys you let between your legs.â Normally, it wouldnât have bothered you, but the effect his words had on you today was so strong you felt the tears you had tried so hardly to conceal, making their way out of your eyes and down your cheeks. âFuck you Munsonâ you had said, grabbing your bag and making your way out of the classroom, completely ignoring your teacher calling your name.
To say Eddie felt bad was an understatement. He felt absolutely horrible. The second he saw the tears in your eyes, his heart sank. Truth is, Eddie didnât hate you. He actually really liked you, he just didnât know how to express it. He had never been shown love as a kid, giving that his mother left when he was just a baby and his father never even cared about him in the first place. Wayne had been the only person to ever show him affection. Even then, Eddie had never been able to reciprocate it.
Eddie had thought about you every single day since your first encounter is the cafeteria. He wanted so badly to go back in time and change the way he had acted towards you. But it was too late. So Eddie did the only thing he knew how to. It was easier for him to pretend he hated you than to face the feelings he really felt towards you. But seeing you cry because of him filled Eddie with nothing but regret, guilt, and sadness.
After class was over, Eddie had made it his mission to find you and apologize. It was the least he could do, he thought to himself. After what felt like hours of searching the school with no luck, he was about to give up. Until he heard a door open. He turned around only to be met with the saddest pair of eyes heâd ever seen. Your hair was up in a messy bun with stray strands framing your face. Your cheeks were bright pink while the rest of your face was pale like a ghost. Your eyes were completely bloodshot from crying with bags underneath. Still, Eddie thought you were the most beautiful girl heâd ever seen.
The second you saw Eddie, you turned on your heels and made your way to exit the school. âY/N wait!â he called after you. You continued to make your way towards the door, his footsteps getting closer and closer behind you. You were halfway to your car before you felt his hand on your shoulder, spinning you around in one swift movement. âWhat Eddie? If youâre just going to call me a slut or a whore or some other mean name just save it! Iâm not dealing with this today.â The genuine pain behind your eyes left Eddie feeling even worse than he did before. âNo, youâre not a whore or a slut. I just came to apologize for what I said back there. I crossed the line and Iâm really fucking sorry.â
You were taken aback by his sudden apology. Eddie had never apologized for anything he said to you before. The usual hate in his eyes was replaced with worry and concern. His hand was still on your shoulder and you swore it was burning a whole into your skin. After what seemed like hours, you shook his hand off your shoulder and turned to walk away from him. But just like that day in sophomore year, in the cafeteria, your feet had carried you back right in front of him before your brain could even process what was happening. âI have never done anything to you Eddie. I have been nothing but kind to you even though you make my life a living hell every single day! Why? What have I done to make you hate me so much? All I ever wanted was to be friends with you. But you fucked that up just like you fuck up everything else in your life!â The words left your mouth faster than your brain could keep up.
Instant regret filled your head and you were about to walk away until you felt Eddieâs strong hands on your waist, pulling you close to him. Your eyes met his and before you knew it his lips were on yours. You were stunned at first, but eventually you returned the kiss. He tasted like cigarettes and weed, but you didnât mind. His lips were soft against yours. As clichĂ© as it sounds, it felt as though his lips matched perfectly with yours, like they were meant to meet. The kiss had your toes curling and your brain foggy. You didnât even realized he had pulled away until you heard him speak.
âI never hated you and I never will. Iâm so sorry for everything. Iâve liked you ever since that day you came up to me in the cafeteria. Iâm just an idiot and I convinced myself you were playing a joke on me. I couldnât believe a girl like you could ever possibly like someone like me. Iâm so sorry y/n.â You looked up at him in complete and utter shock. Silence filled the parking lot. It wasnât until you heard birds chirping in the distance that you were brought back into reality. You digested his words and spoke your own.
âIâve liked you ever since I first saw you in the cafeteria that day in sophomore year Eddie.â You looked up at him, trying to read the look in his eyes. He responded by pulling you close to his chest. One hand on the back of your head and the other placed firmly against your back. He held you like that before speaking again. âIâm so sorry y/n. For everything.â He whispered in your ear. âI forgive you.â You said, pulling away to look him in the eyes. âCan we get out of here and do something? Just us.â You asked, without even thinking. âOf course, I have a few ideas in mind.â Eddie had said with his signature shit-eating grin. And with that, you both made your way to his van, hands intertwined.
