here are images from a listing of the Apptivity Sensei figurine from 2012, produced by Mattel. according to the back of the box found on this listing, this figure would interact with the HD version of the Fruit Ninja app, which, i believe, were exclusive to iPads at the time. there are also other figures that were made for iconic mobile games, such as Angry Birds and Cut The Rope.

additionally, there is also a variant of this figure i found on a Verge article (archive) that shows Sensei with an angrier expression, and i believe that this variant is a prototype using an early design because of the different platform, the much shinier finish compared to the final product, the different (and sloppier) paint job, and the fact that i can only find this variant in the form of photos on display, which are always prototypes before the actual toy goes into production. there is also no indication that this is a separately sold variant of the smiling Sensei figure. this is definitely an early concept.
the interesting thing about prototypes is that they can eventually turn up in thrift stores if they are not thrown away or destroyed, so i wonder, where could this figure be now? i hope it still exists, it's a very interesting piece of Fruit Ninja history.
this is also similar to the Fruit Ninja FX figurines which would be sold later, which had a similar element of interactivity to them. the available characters were Sensei, Katsuro and Truffles. i found a listing for the Sensei figure on ebay as well (archive).
(they're kinda similar to Skylanders figures, aren't they?)
finally, i found a musky old photo of a couple of fruit figures from a Spanish website, but unfortunately the listing had already disappeared and wasn't archived. i'll talk more about these if i find another listing for them.

i'm surprised there was never much merchandise made for Jetpack Joyride considering how popular it was and still sort of is. there's just shirts, some old cafepress stuff, threadless stuff, this button, an old phone case and a rare figure that another JJ artist has on this site, but nothin much else.

continuing this thread on with some neat Halfbrick plushies i found listings for on ebay! let's start off with Fruit Ninja first, since that one has the most plushies made for it.
first off is this jumbo Strawberry plush i found on this listing (archive) (screenshot). unlike the older plushies that were made by Nanco in 2011, this one was made by Toyfoundry and was from 2012, according to the listing title. it has a considerably better quality than the older ones, and the Fruit Ninja logo on its headband appears to be printed on rather than embroidered like the old ones. it has the app icon on its side.
this listing has some photos of the original tag which i think are interesting. apparently there was a QR code you could scan. obviously this one had apparently already been scanned, so i'm not entirely sure what it's supposed to do. i think it's supposed to open the Fruit Ninja app and redeem something.
here are the cotton tags saying this plush was made by Toyfoundry.
these are photos from a listing of a 2011 Orange and Watermelon plush duo (archive). they appear to be made out of lesser materials, lack a strongly defined shape, they headbands look very shaggy and they all have different expressions in their eyes, which i think is very charming. the Fruit Ninja logo is embroidered on their headbands and they lack the app icon that the jumbo Strawberry has.

next up is this Banana plush, whose listing has photos of the cardboard tag up close. i like how the tag includes a little fruit fact about bananas :) (archive)
there's this green Apple plush made by Jazwares that makes sounds. it has an open mouth, Kanji characters on the back of its headband and makes the sounds of fruit getting sliced from the game. the logo on the front is also different, oddly enough. (archive) (screenshot)

ok continuing on from the last reblog: i realised i forgot to show one of the Nanco plushies, and it's this red Apple one. nothin' special about it from the rest of the Nanco plushies, i just want to put it here to finish off my disorganised list of Fruit Ninja plushies.

Internship in eBay
我是2012.11.30日入职的，当时我大四，现在我毕业了。
很感谢Sam哥把我招进来，让我感觉到了第三个家的温暖。
从UK VAT到SMB LOAN再到DE VAT，我也算是经历了3个项目的人了，从中学到了好多，总结是关键，细节很重要。Sam哥还带我去见卖家，参加和平安银行的会议。当我踏进平安银行大厅，和一堆西装笔挺的人坐在一起开会的时候，我简直不敢相信，我还没毕业呢，就有了这样的经历。
感谢Sam哥，感谢Yiheng。
回忆录
上班第一天就有蛋糕吃，hoho~
经常去蹭产品部的水果吃，吃水果时间大家说说笑笑真开心，会听到一系列的八卦，哈哈~话说我一直觉得Hank长得很像俄罗斯混血。。
常虹哥哥~白姐姐~法人代表~绝对好男人啊！每次都用很大的刀削苹果，好厉害。

纷纷扰扰的市中心。
我来的第二天Sam哥就出差去了，UK VAT全国巡回演讲！接下来的几周我都跟着产品部的同学吃饭团。港泰风、梦缘等等等（去梦缘必点手撕卷心菜=。=）。好贵！一顿起码20。后来发现入团吃饭就不用带钱了，看别人付账很爽有没有，果断入团啊。
两周后Sam哥终于回来了！
还给我带了礼物好开心~
那天中午公司有自助餐吃~~好丰盛好好吃~！！

2013.1.10 去一家云南餐厅吃饭，庆祝UK VAT项目顺利结束~
那天认识了传说中的Cindy（eve经常和我说Cindy很有气质很好，而且也喜欢民族风）。Cindy好可爱~我们还经常一起穿民族风，旗袍风，连喜欢唱的歌都差不多~！最喜欢听你唱莫文蔚的歌，好有感觉。
还碰到了老乡Ruby！居然也是石化的，而且也是金盟中学！学姐啊！好高兴~~记得有一次坐车回家，旁边坐了个伯伯就是你爸爸！太巧了吧！偶们缘分来了真是挡都挡不住啊！那天正好你从台湾回来，你男朋友来接你，我记性好哇~伯伯很有老克勒气质呢！
2013.1.30庆祝孟欣生日~
记得坐在Sam哥位子上的时候经常听到一个很好听的台湾口音的声音，我对口音有特殊的癖好=。=（原谅我这个少女时代爱看港台剧的孩纸。。）后来经常和孟昕、Susan、eve一起带饭吃，孟昕还会做饭好厉害！
Jojo天生艺术家！又会画画又会跳舞。记得Jojo经常挺着大肚子跑过来拍拍我说好久不见。哈哈~还看见过Jojo桌子上他女儿的画，好棒啊~果然子承父业。

2013.3.6大家都在装东西，就要搬家了~
球球理东西的时候送给我的东东，可惜那个荧光笔写不粗来了。我最喜欢本本了，谢谢球球~他还送了一个小包包，还有好多东西，都被我和eve瓜分掉了哈哈。记得最清楚的是球球标志性的笑声，一听就知道是球球，太欢乐了。
2013.3.8 eBay的三八妇女节
Sam哥排了好长的队给偶们买了阿姨奶茶，太好了太好了~~Cindy为了报答他给他扇风。
三个女人民族风~哈哈哈~三八妇女节下午放假大家一起唱K。公司还送了拍立得，福利真好！！那天听到了传说中歌后Jacqie的歌声，很好听诶~为什么偶唱歌那么难听555
话说Jacqie也是石化的！！缘分啊！！！每次饭团吃饭Jacqie都语不惊人死不休，很让人有喷饭的冲动。应该算是思想上的女汉子吧，强大强大。
2013.3.14第一次去平安开会
一踏入大厅看到这个水晶吊灯随风摇摆，真是亮瞎我的眼。
那次会议是很高级的视频会议，和深圳的同事们一起开的。感受到了银行严肃并且富丽堂皇的工作环境，开会的那一层都是会议室！大的会议室跟大学的阶梯教室一样。
第一次和高层和合作伙伴谈项目，见识到了“大人们”都是怎么开会的，学习到了开会一定要突出重点，围绕主题。（我要吐槽一下平安视频会议的拨号声音，特别是那个6的读音，太搞笑了）

2013.5.20 户外活动
那天跑到鲁迅公园一下就撞到了Stefen，然后加入了他们的队伍，没想到队伍中最有气质那个就是CEO！我是撞大运了嘛？！哈哈~~我们分工合作其实速度还蛮快的~就是后来没有拍照耽搁时间了。后来CEO还把奖品送给我了，真是对一个实习生莫大的奖励啊~~好高兴好高兴~
之后六一节在上班路上还碰到了CEO！他还认识我！简直太高兴了！！
2013.5.21 巧克力&生日
Sam哥从DE VAT全国巡回演讲回来又给我带礼物了，真开心~
默默地感叹一声好男人都有女朋友了！！！
今天也是Cindy和Susan的生日
Susan生于5.20，文艺女青年，变态科学家，知识渊博，还没有男朋友！大家抓紧机会啊。

Este es el nuevo logo de eBay. ¿Cómo le caería este estilo a otros logos? Por si aun no se enteran, les comento que eBay también cambia de logo este año. Y como me fue tan bien con mis logos estilo Microsoft (y con "bien" me refiero a "hubo muchos trolls en mi blog pero todos me hicieron sonreir"), decidí repetir el experimento con el nuevo logo de eBay. Lo raro es que esta vez la imitación fue mas difícil de hacer pero el resultado final también parece hecho en Paint.
Ni hablar, no a todas las marcas les cae el minimalismo extremo. Después de todo, el periódico USA Today también anunció hoy su nuevo logo y se ve MUCHO mejor que eBay.
Does anyone know where I can buy a Crota raid ring? Bungie confirmed mine has been lost in transit, it's been missing for over a month and they can't get me a replacement either.
I'm sad about it :(( I've got the other raid rings and would really like this one too.
