Life's becoming as waterless
as the Sahara desert.
Climbing sandy hillsides
to see what is beyond
the obstructed horizon.
Trotting about in misguided
circles while trying to find
the way home again.
Oh, but the mirages make
it all worthwhile;
The hallucinations, brought
on by sweet deprivation,
provide my malnourished
mind with lucidities."
