Rage

Rage is such a funny thing because people believe you're allowed to feel it "sometimes".

Most are aware of the concept of "righteous rage" or "righteous anger" and they accept those terms. But they never accept it. They say and think; "you can feel rage sometimes" but when it comes to it, what has happened is never enough for them to consider it "righteous".

Making a Mountain Out of a Molehill

And everyone else listens and agrees. They listen to them. But they never seem to listen to you. The main reason for someone to finally be so mad, so angry that they show their rage is because nobody listened. Nobody listened to their pain, their hurt, and now all that is left is a broken shell, it's only inhabitant being pure, unfiltered rage. The type that boils past the line and spills out onto your hands. The type that burns.

Nobody listened then. Nobody will listen now. They're using you, using your hurt and then your anger to "prove their point", to make them seem right. Nothing we do will be enough.

Nothing, but screaming. Kicking and screaming till our lungs are raw and our legs ache. Because they may not listen, but they'll hear.

And we need them to hear. Stay quiet, and they won't even be able to choose to listen.

I suppose we are allowed to feel rage, we just can't show it.
