Doctor Who Companions - Tumblr Posts
Watching some Doctor Who compilations, and realized that the Doctor's companions are always human. Even with all the planets he's visited, he always picks a human. But then again, I haven't watched or read ALL of the vast amounts of Doctor Who media by any means, so I might be wrong. If anyone knows of the Doctor having an alien companion at any point, please let me know! I'd love to hear about it!
I think it'd be super awesome to have an alien companion in a future season, book, or even audio drama!
'Cause life needs more Ian and Barbara.
While perusing historical photos, I stumbled upon a photo of a young girl, who could pass as a young Barbara Wright. File under: things my brain thinks about.
"Merry Christmas, Barbara..."
Time on the couch As can be seen in the bottom picture, Ian sometimes doesn't even bother to get a book of his own to read and will happily just read what Barbara has, luckily she doesn't seem to mind that much.
Them Indoors. Inspired by another fanfic by @unwillingadventurer Find the story here http://www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=54424 Hopefully that ^^should take you there^^
Flu season - Ever since their travels on the Tardis, Ian is super attentive to Barbara whenever she is sick.
It was at this moment Ian came to the conclusion that Barbara would most likely win all arguments in the future.

The Aztecs, my favourite scene: Where Barbara demonstrates her ability to quickly outwit her foes and protect her friends. Because she is that amazing.
Ian uses ‘Vulcan Nerve Pinch’ way before its time.
First meetings: Barbara and Ian get to know Vicky.
For those interested, I have delved into the realm of writing fanfics.
If you like the First Doctor and his companions Barbara, Ian, Susan and Vicki, I hope you find enjoyment here.
Two versions of the same picture, because let’s face it both Susan and Vicki knew. Based off a draw your otp picture, but I had trouble finding the original, my apologises to the originator.
Hopefully no spoilers, but this was one of my favourite lines from this box set. In “Return to Skaro”, Barbara shows no fear in regards to the opposing situation they have to face.
P.S. This cast is amazing.
Barbara comforts a distraught Susan from the screaming jungle in Keys of Marinus.
Examining the exhibits.
IAN: Well, how do you like that?
BARBARA: Oh well. Even if we had told them, I don't think they'd have believed us.
IAN: No. Said we were dreaming.
BARBARA: Oh, it isn't fair, Ian, is it?
IAN: No it is not. Still, got a funny side to it, hasn't it.
BARBARA: Yes.
DOCTOR [OC]: Come along, lazy bones!
Scene redraw from ‘The Keys of Marinus’. Barbara takes out the brains and their mind control
Finally got my hands on a copy of “A Future in Five Minutes” the biography of Jacqueline Hill. What’s the first thing I do? Look at the photos. Some I have seen before but there were some that I had never seen. LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIFUL AND MAJESTIC IMAGES!
