Damon was getting on your last nerves. His narcissism and ego had been through the roof since the blonde cheerleader, Elena Gilbert, had complimented him on his outfit choice. As a result, he spent longer than ever getting ready before leaving the boarding house. 

Three hours. That’s how long it had taken him to get ready for dinner. You and Stefan were seated in the living room across from each other, a plethora of items scattered across the table between you as distractions while you two waited. 

Damon buttoned the last button on his cuff as he entered the staircase in the back of the living room, “If being hot was a crime, I’d be serving a life sentence.” 

You snorted, “A life sentence? For a crime you didn’t even commit?” 

Damon narrowed his eyes at your snarky reply, and Stefan high-fived you as a smirk crossed your lips.
