Sessrin rants cause I think it needs to be talked about.
Not only considering that the dub voice actors for Inuyasha and Sesshomaru are against Sessrin but I find it weird that many people who grew up with the English dub for Inuyasha ship Sessrin even though Rin’s english voice actor was literally a child when she first started dubbing for Inuyasha. Pairing ships that have an adult voicing one character and a kid the other is a big red flag to me. Sessrin shippers who are adults need to stop acting like this ship is harmless. It would be a very awful year if Yashahime tried normalizing grooming and  pedophilia in 2020 when many series get attacked for trying to represent things like LGBT or mixed race couples. Shipping Sesshomaru with Rin is just like shipping Inuyasha or Kagome with older Shippo. Never have I’ve seen a valid reason to ship Sessrin it’s always “Fiction doesn’t affect reality” well honestly that’s not completely true, or Sessrin shippers trying to bring down other ships that aren’t even close to bad as shipping a child with a grown mature person.
