After being interested in Transformers for a while, another toyline-based cartoon about sentient shapeshifting robots caught my eye

The GoBots! There's a good chance that I'll be posting more GoBots things in the near future, but for now I've got a few Cy-Kill sketches to show :]

I've got some more sketches of Cy-Kill to share because this man lives rent-free in my head

I was in a very scribbley mood today at my workplace, so I ended up doing some doodles of the Gobots :D These may not be spot on as they were just from memory, but I thought I'd share them seen as I don't usually post my workplace scribbles

Also a small non-Gobot bonus: Flying toasters because I like that one After Dark screensaver :]

I made bracelets today :D

Well folks, anyone who knows me would've seen this coming from a mile away

I'm making a Cy-Kill plush!! :D This may only appeal to the handful of Gobots fans out there, but who cares! Hyperfixation stops for no one

Progress update on the Cy-Kill plush: I've got a little more to do on the internal hand-sewing side of things, then it's assembly time!! :D

I am happy to present to you all the finished Cy-Kill plush! :D

Although I ended up doing some considerable backtracking in this project, I'm quite happy with how he came out in the end and generally glad to have him in physical form ^v^

In terms of unique features really the only thing of note is the fact that his wheels can be removed, then there's also plastic pellets in his hands and feet as per usual

Small bonus:

I ended up deciding to replace his left eye at least 5 steps after the last possible moment

It was quite the finicky process, but at least I found some humour in the situation (shown in the meme I crafted above)

During one of the days of our road trip, we stopped by a peaceful little cafe by a sculpture garden

It did start raining but at least it was a nice break from the unbelievable heat

I drew the six main Gobots as various neurodivergent creatures :]

Currently experiencing a bit of insomnia, so I took a brief break from trying to sleep and accessorized a few of my plushies

Usually a small distraction works :]

Folks! I am proud to present to you, my newly completed Fitor plush!! :D

I'm quite happy with how he turned out, and especially with how well he goes with Cy-Kill (believe me, getting plushies to scale well with each other when making them from scratch is quite tricky)

In terms of features, Fitor's wings are lined with crinkly plastic for both structural integrity and a fun little sensory/fidgety thing. The wings can also be pinned back with button snaps if need be (as shown in the photos) And like most of my plushies do, Fitor has plastic pellets in his hands and feet

I may have gotten a bit fixated on drawing these little "marshmallowified" versions of the Gobots today

It started when I was doodling at work and I decided to simplify and squish Cop-tur's proportions down for fun, and then naturally the concept caught on and I wanted to squish down every one of them!

(I was gonna draw some other guys in, but I quickly realised I wasn't that confident with ink so I improvised a background)

I don't think there's many ways to pack a non-pocket-sized toy into a suitcase that doesn't look at least a bit funny, lol

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to use this as an excuse to share how these two were packed up for a trip I took earlier this month. Probably not nearly as funny as Optimus but I still found it quite amusing at the time ^v^

Hey, remember when everyone was drawing a bunch of different characters wearing that one specific dress?

Yeah I jumped on the bandwagon as well

(then promptly forgot to share the drawing until a good few months after the trend had passed)

As you can see, I've decided to give my take on another drawing meme that's been going around lately

(and for once I'm not unreasonably late for the trend, yippeeeeee!)

Yippeee!! Look who's finally done! :D

Despite the fact that she's caused me more trouble than I was anticipating (mostly because I needed to re-cut multiple pieces due to the initial proportions being completely and utterly wrong -_-) I'm quite happy with how she came out ^v^

In terms of plush features, you can remove her brain! I decided it would be fun if you could take her brain out because I just generally like the concept of plushies having pockets containing removable organs. I've also decided to put a rattle in the brain! Since I like when plushies rattle but I'd sometimes rather they be quiet, I figured it'd be convenient to make the portion with the rattle removable so that you could have a smaller object to fidget with and have a plushie that doesn't have to make noise all the time.

I think it's also worth mentioning that I put more beans in her hands and feet than I normally would, which is my attempt at giving a subtle nod to her unique seismic-stomp attack.

(Bonus infodump below cut for anyone wondering why I gave a robot a normal-looking brain)

So! For anyone unfamiliar with the Gobots, they aren't actually fully robotic like you may be expecting. In the lore of the show "Challenge Of The Gobots", they were originally organic beings who had to transfer their brains into robotic bodies due to a cataclysmic event as a result of the raging war threatening to wipe them out.

In the episode "Sentinel", we get to see an x-ray shot directly showing the fact that they have organic brains (Screenshots shown below, I apologise for the nightmare fuel)

As for why I decided to only apply the removable brain idea to Crasher... She just kinda seemed the most fitting. And also design wise, it's far easier to hide the zipper on her than it is on anyone else.

[Slight tangent, but Crasher having her brain fill up that much space in her head just can't be good for her. I understand that the artists doing these drawings probably didn't put too much thought into it, but she seems much more at risk of getting a concussion, especially with how many head-on collisions she gets into]

I discovered the Starflesh aesthetic the other night, which in turn inspired me to draw a few Gobots in a more animalistic form

Hell, this isn't even the first time I've done this! I've also drawn Scooter in this way before

(I didn't realise I neglected to share creaturified Scooter until now, but oh well)
