After two days of sleeping over at my sister's dorm in the city for the sake of early morning work in the laboratory, I am sorely missing my bed. I'm also sorely missing a good night's sleep. I can't wait to get home tonight and sleep in my own bed.

And wake up and trek back to Manhattan to start another round of experiments. It's going to be awesome.

in the japanese suburbs, every street is lined with rain gutters, so even during heavy rain, the streets are perfectly navigable, even on foot. in the american suburbs, there's like one drain every couple of streets, so whenever it storms, the streets turn into rivers
