"This is just a difficult time for me right now...I'll be fine though." He was on his way back from visiting Lacie’s grave, when he encountered the small black creature. Was it from the abyss? He didn't know, and honestly he didn't really care. This creature was kind enough to ask him if he was okay; no human had ever done that for him before. It was comforting in an odd sort of way.

"In my position that isn't really possible..." As head of the Baskervilles he wasn't supposed to show weakness; his duty is to keep order and maintain peace in the abyss. He was to be relied on, not the other way around. His feelings were irrelevant, all that mattered was his duty... a sad fact he's known since childhood.
A traveler from other realms? Interesting... he had questions; none that he felt like voicing out loud. All he hoped was that she wouldn't cause any disturbances to the abyss. She seemed pretty tame so he shouldn't have to worry. Pushing his thoughts aside, he introduced himself.
"My name is Glen...Glen Baskerville."

Why was this man getting upset? He was just being honest. Oswald watched wordlessly as the man stamped his foot like a child; He had dealt with difficult people before, but this man took it to a whole different level.
"If you didn't want an honest answer... then you shouldn't have asked."
"I suppose she's kind of...cute..." He didn't understand why this strange man was showing him a picture of his cat. He should have known attempting to go on a peaceful walk was a bad idea. He always ended up encountering weirdos.

Oswald just stared at the gift; to say he was skeptical would be an understatement. "Tell me what it is first."

"Get out of my house..." He wasn't about to have this strange man ruin his birthday.
"Fine I'll open it." Letting out a sigh, he took the gift out of the man's hands. Maybe once he opened it this man would leave him alone...
Once he got the paper off he carefully lifted the lid; hoping whatever was inside wouldn't be too terrible...
a shrunken head? Where did this man get a shrunken head? Tired of this man, and his games Oswald contemplated throwing the head at him, but that would require him to have to touch the head; which he didn't want to do.
So, instead he placed the lid back on the box, and set it aside, glaring at the man. "There I opened it now get out..."
