Climb Central - Jan 2017
Last January, my friend Vicky invited me to go rock climbing with her in Climb Central at Greenfield, Mandaluyong City. This was not my first time rock climbing, but boy, it felt like it was. The walls were sky high and the level of difficulty began at Level 4. My friend did really well (WOO GO Vicky! =))) but it was such a struggle for me! A few days after the climb, my lower back hurt a lot. I guess that was the sign I need to work on my body fitness. So I suggest if you’re a first-timer that you take it easy and that you don’t pressure yourself into reaching the top if you really can’t.
Climb Central is really accommodating to newcomers and they teach you the basics of climbing before you try it in order to ensure your safety. There’s also no limit to how many hours you can stay there. My friend and I stayed for about four hours until our bodies caved. They also have all the amenities you will need including climbing shoes, lockers to keep your bags safe, clean washrooms, and water. Around the area are many food choices so there’s no problem with finding a place to eat afterwards. If you wanna check them out, they have a website here!
I’m looking forward to coming back to Climb Central again, not only in order to work on my upper body strength, but also because wall climbing is one of the many ways to pass the time productively here in the city. I’m always looking for fun things to do here in Metro Manila, which is why I’m so glad my friend introduced this place to me. :D
Btw, check out my friend Vicky’s blog! She takes photos amazingly well! :)
