at this point you can't barely hear vernon's sweet sounds as he sleeps beside you on the couch. there isn't much happening on the movie you're watching, but the dialogs and soundtrack are enough to muffle your boyfriend's noises.
it's a lazy sunday, vernon ate way more than he intended - your fault, though, he told you to NOT put that special saude on your food or he WOULD have a food coma - and fell asleep right after, while you decided to just watch something, maybe catch up on your favorite actor's filmography.
your hand is mindlessly caressing vernon's hair, his familiar scent and warmth making you feel at home; because, truth be told, even if you are at your place, your apartment doesn’t actually feel like home when he's not around.
it starts to rain, gray clouds crying on your window as the city's noises also gets canceled now. you could picture the kids crying too, being forced to leave the playground nearby your place because the sun got tired of shining too bright and politely asked the clouds to put their curtains down while he rested for his next act.
you look down at vernon, and he didn't move, not even once. his - yours - blanket is wrapped around his body, his lips glued together in a small pout. he looks comfortable. he looks peaceful.
so it's really not a hard decision the one you take, turning off the tv and laying beside him. as if he could sense you - and he could -, vernon allows you to wrap your arms around him, pull him closer, kiss his cheek.
"is it raining?", he mumbles in his sleepy state. he only hears you hum in response. "nap time, then."
and you can only smile before your consciousness drifts away. yeah, vernon, it's been nap time for you for about an hour and a half now.
but you don't tell him that. you just let him rest in your arms, being lulled by the rain and his soft snores.

"hey! it's a good theory!", he frowns, ready to defend you. his voice is muffled too.
"i'm talking about you", says seungkwan, pointing at the candy between vernon's lips. "you simp."
