Double Charles Headcanon
I headcanon that Charles Grey is a premature child, explaining why he’s around the same age as Phipps and is very short, with a boyish figure. When he went to fencing matches when he was at the Weston College, his classmates would tease him for being so short, Phipps being the only one who isn’t mean to him. They grow up together as friends and get along pretty well as work partners for Queen Victoria.
