Could you do Junho and 7?
thank you for requesting this! I had a lot of fun writing this one! I hope you like it!
7. someone messed up and gave you something that belongs to him.
[10:30 a.m.] this is it, you think. today’s the day you get your final report card handed to you. you could feel the nervousness growing as the other students, one by one, enter the classroom. you see your friends, heejin and moyeon, walk in. they sit in front of you in their seats and turn around. “don’t worry, y/n. as usual, you’ll pass with all A’s again.” heejin tells you. “yeah like you have for the last year now.” moyeon adds in. you lightly scoff, “don’t jinx it, guys. anything’s possible. I feel more nervous now than I have ever been.” moyeon pats your hand in an attempt to comfort you. “relax, y/n. you’re going to do fine. anyways, you girls have any plans after school today? we could go get some celebratory boba!” you tilt your head, asking, “what are we celebrating?” heejin and moyeon simultaneously exclaim, “the last day of junior year!” which caused a few of the people in the classroom to weirdly glance at you three. you just laughed, and the girls joined in. then, in through the door walks your crush, cha junho. he’s laughing with his friends dongpyo and hyungjun. “stop giving him heart eyes, y/n!” heejin squeaks, and as a response, you shove her arm, the back of your neck heating up. dongpyo coincidentally happens to be your desk partner, so when you see him heading over, you shush the girls. he takes a seat and smiles at you three. “so, are we ready for report cards?” you shook your head no, to which dongpyo said, “you’ll do fine, ms. star student.” heejin whined, “ugh, my mom said if my grades drop, I won’t be allowed to go to the bangtan concert.” heejin whined, before putting her head down dramatically. moyeon leaned over and whispered just loud enough for you guys to hear, “ if you don’t go, can I have the ticket?” heejin’s head shot up at this and she yelped, “yah!” which caused a few heads to turn your way. you laughed at the scene unfolding in front of you, shaking your head at your friends’ childish behavior.
you shift your gaze slightly to see junho staring at you. quickly, you snapped your eyes back to your friends, a light blush dusting your cheeks. at that moment, your teacher walks in with a small stack of papers in his hand. the entire class gradually quiets down as he sets down his things. “ all right, all right, settle down.” the teacher lifts up a paper. “I have your final report cards, I will distribute these and once I finish, you are free to go. I hope you all enjoy your summer, and I will see you next year.” this causes applause to roar among the students and then your teacher clears his throats before starting. “cha junho, y/l/n y/n, kim heejin. please come up here and get your report cards.” you and heejin stand and so does junho. once you guys get your report cards you sit down. you are anxious, but your curiosity gets the best of you as you begin to examine the sheet of paper. you were shocked; you were expecting all a’s and are bombarded with not a single a, but mainly c’s and some b’s here and there. you must look terrified because dongpyo starts rubbing up and down your shoulder and tears drop onto the report card. heejin does a small dance in her chair; you could only assume that that means she’s going to her concert. you put your head down until the last name is called. what had happened? why did your grades look like this? did you underestimate your junior year? things weren’t adding up and you still cried. then you heard dongpyo being called up, then moyeon and then one by one, people started leaving. your head was still on the desk, supported by your arms. moyeon and heejin tried getting you up but you were stubborn. just then, you felt a tap on your shoulder. you knew it wasn’t heejin or moyeon, but your hunch was confirmed when you heard, “y/n, I think they made a mistake.” you recognize junho’s voice and you moved your head out from your arms.
with a tear-stained face and puffy, red eyes you look up and see junho handing you a report card. you take it and read it: all a’s and you look at the top. it has your name on it. hurriedly, you look back at the one you originally received and sure enough, the name on that one was ‘cha junho’. “I-I’m so sorry, here,” you hand junho his report card back, which has some of your tears on it. he smiles at this and then says, “are my grades that terrible, that they made you cry?” you blush at his comment and shake your head, avoiding his teasing gaze. “well, now that we have these things sorted out, we’ll meet you by your locker, y/n.” the girls wave towards you with heejin wiggling her brows. dongpyo then says, “uh, yeah, I’ve gotta, umm, meet seungwoo hyung! yes! I’ll do that! see ya!” leaving you two in the classroom. you get up to collect your things and put them into your bag, and junho suggests, “you know, I was thinking. why don’t you tutor me over the summer? I mean you are an all A student, and I could use the extra help, for the sake of my GPA.” you widen your eyes at this. junho laughs and heads to the door. right before leaving, he turns towards you and says, “if you want to do it, I left you my number on your report card. let me know soon,” and winks before he leaves you in the room. your summer was going to be busy indeed.
17 + Junho? ♥︎♥︎
hello, thanks so much for the request! I kept this one shorter than the usual amount of what I write, just because I didn’t want to have to ramble on with this one, so regardless of the length, I really hope you like it!
17. he does something sweet for you.
[7:43 a.m.] you woke up to the sound of your alarm clock blaring. you stretched your arms and legs and began getting out of bed when you noticed the space next to you, which was filled the night before, is empty right now. junho must’ve gone to the bathroom, you think, and get up and out of bed. five minutes pass and junho doesn’t come out of the bathroom. you go up to the door and knock on it, for safe measures. after hearing no response, you slowly twist the knob and the door opens to reveal…absolutely nobody. “huh,” you shrug and head over to the sink to brush your teeth and wash your face. once you finish those things, you head down your hallway and into your kitchen, to find junho at the dining table, with a box of donuts and two coffees. he turns once he hears your footsteps and smiles. “good morning! how’d you sleep?” you drag your feet over to him and hug his waist, kissing his cheek. “good morning. what are you doing awake, you don’t have practice until the afternoon, I thought?” “yeah, but I know you have an interview later on this morning, so I just wanted to do something for you, for good luck. so I went out and got you those donuts from across the street that you love so much, and some coffee.”
your attention diverges to the aqua-colored box, which held your favorite peanut butter donuts and junho’s favorite pistachio donuts. you beam and look back at him, before squishing his face between your hands and kissing him. “thank you, baby.” he kisses you again, with much more fervor and passion, pulling you close to him and keeping the distance between you two very small. you rarely see this side of junho because even though your relationship has been strong for two years, so far, junho still shies away from showing you intense affection. when he does, though, you always welcome it, so your hands go to his hair, tangling your fingers in his chocolate locks. once you both feel the burn in your lungs, you pull away, heavily breathing. “thank you so much for the breakfast, junho, you really shouldn’t have ruined your sleep for it.” he smoothes down your hair and says, “it’s really no problem, y/n. I wish you good luck on your interview today, you’ll kill it and you’ll secure the job, just watch.” your heart swelled at the sincere smile that formed on his mouth and the loving gaze he set upon you.
and a few days later, you got a phone call from the company letting you know that they wanted to hire you and when they did, you squealed so loud that junho came rushing in asking if you were hurt and all you could do was leap into his arms and you whispered against his ear, “I got it, junho. I got the job.”
coterie: the poker chip (1/2)

synopsis: you’re an ordinary girl, with an ordinary life. but what happens when you catch the gang that is famous for keeping their deeds under the table, in action?

pairing: cha junho and y/n
a/n: mentions of violence and cursing, so proceed with caution.
you held the poker chip out in front of everyone, making sure each of them could see it. before anyone says anything, you’re determined to figure out whose this is; there’s a guy who shows a defeated reaction, muttering something to the guy next to him. that guy’s face remains unchanged. you rule him out too, there’s no way this is his. there are a few of the guys who show relieved looks on their faces, and you rule them out too. who is it? seungwoo clears his throat, “it seems like you’ve picked junho, y/n. junho, go ahead and brief her. the rest of you, come with me, I’ve your assignments. junho, I’ll contact you later for yours.” and all but one of the boys follow seungwoo out of the room. the one you ruled out early on turned out to be the owner of the poker chip. he approached you, with the same blank look on his face and reached out his hand to introduce himself. you shook his hand with a confused look in your eyes. he seemed to notice, and he started, “you must be thinking why I didn’t react when you chose my object. come with me, I’ll explain it to you.” and he turned on his heel, before heading towards one of the many corners of the mansion. you followed him step after step, and he began to speak. his voice was low so in order to hear him clearer, you caught up to him, now walking side by side with junho. “first and foremost, I’m cha junho. I’m twenty years old, I have been a part of x1 for roughly three years now, but I’ve been in the business since I could walk.” you go down a hallway that gradually gets darker; are the lights dimming, or is there an overall absence of light from this area? it sure as shit can’t be that they can’t afford electricity. junho continues walking, and your pace starts to slow until finally, he comes to a stop. “what business, you’re probably thinking, right?” he says, and digs in his pocket, fishing out a key and sticks it in what you can assume is a keyhole (not that you could see much). “was it hand-reading, or were you a psychic?” you sarcastically answer him, and he stays silent before answering, “I’m not sure what you meant.” inhaling sharply, you tell him that it was a joke, and you explained that the joke was that he was saying all the things you were thinking aloud like he knew what was going on in your head. now that you had to explain yourself, the joke lost some of its humor which made you furrow your eyebrows. “ah, I understand now. please know that I don’t really get sarcasm, so if you use it with me, I’ll probably have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m very straightforward.” wow, this is the guy you were stuck with? a breathing machine? your luck is fantastic. “I should be a bit clear about what I do,” he started and opened a door, before getting to the side. “after you.” you step into the dark room before a light flicks on. this reveals a myriad of different weapons along a huge wall, and in front of it is a table that holds multiple weapons as well. “holy shit. what- what is all this?” you breathe out, your eyes wide with surprise. “this is the business.”
you turn back around, and leaning against the doorframe is junho, with a revolver spinning on his finger. once he notices your gaze, it comes to a halt perfectly, and he lifts the gun in front of his face, before finally flitting his gaze over to you. “I chose the poker chip because like the card game poker if you bluff enough, you can win. in other words, if you keep your face blank enough, you can win.” you carefully lean against the table, making sure none of the numbers of blades are near you before you shift your focus back on junho. “I don’t understand.” junho puts the revolver back on its place, then he starts, “my job in this team is to kill. I’ve killed many people, and almost every time, I’ve gone unnoticed. I’ll do the job and disappear. that’s how I’ll get away with it and the reason why I get away with it is because I keep a poker face. even if I miss one little thing, I’m off the hook because they say, ‘he doesn’t look like he did it.’” your gaze freezes in fear because you wouldn’t put two and two together; even if he didn’t tell you any of this, you would have never guessed he was a killer. “do you remember the death of that one big business guy a few months back? the one who owned that building in the city? well, he asked us to borrow some of our weapons, and he ended up trying to sell them to a third party who just so happened to contact us.” junho starts, and the image is blurry in your head but you remember it. it was huge and all over the news that they never found the killer, and then your eyebrows rise in realization. “was that you?” and he nods. you let out a noise of astonishment. that just means one thing: he is great at his job. so you tell him that. “wow, you’re really good at it, then. I wouldn’t have even dreamed that you, uh... do what you do, let alone being the face of the nation’s most memorable assassinations.” and you see the first instant of emotion on junho’s face when he gives you a weak smile at that. “thank you for the compliment. it seems very bad, but I promise, I only kill the bad guys. and that too, after I get the background check and face details from dongpyo and wooseok.” your attention goes to the weapons neatly lined up on the wall, and you’ve watched movies and tv, but you’ve never seen weapons like these before. retractable blades and god knows what, your eyes wandered in wonder and you breathed out, “wow, how do you get access to these weapons?” junho shrugged, moving to stand next to you and mumbles, “well, we have our...source, who’s in charge of making the weapons for us, and by ‘us’, I mean eunsang and me, since we deal more with the violent stuff. of course, you could easily read emotions across his face, which is why seungwoo hyung assigned this position to me.” and as your eyes scan the intricate details on said weapons, and the small x1 emblem twinkles under the lights on the ceiling.
“y/n, I have an important question for you,” and you turn towards junho and urge him to continue. “well, you’ve chosen me to work with. and now you’re also aware of what I do. what do you think you’ll be able to assist me with?” you completely forgot about it for a minute. you couldn’t possibly come up with what exactly you’d do if you worked for junho, besides... helping him with the killings. “I’m not entirely sure what there is for me to do, besides, uh, killing. but I don’t think I’m comfortable with that yet.” junho sighed understandingly, then started, “I won’t do that to you yet. hmm, let me think.” just then, junho received a notification from his phone, diverting his attention from you momentarily. “it’s from seungwoo hyung, he’s calling me to his office. you stay here, it shouldn’t take longer than ten minutes. feel free to look around, just don’t touch anything, as you may injure yourself. I will leave you to it, then.” and he stepped out, leaving you in this...chamber of weapons. what would you do, exactly? you’re sure there is more to this job than killing. the research, the disguise, but that stuff’s taken care of by wooseok and dongpyo, but maybe you could help them with that. or maybe you could be like a... secretary. no, that doesn’t fit with his job. “what the fuck am I gonna do here...” you mumble aloud, and you huff and sit on the ground, which seems to be the only safe space where you could trust yourself to sit. just then, junho opened the door and found you on the floor, your eyes focused on a corner, in thought. then it hits you; who is there to make sure things are going well, and junho goes unnoticed? junho makes sure of it to some extent, you’re sure, but what if you helped him out with that. “junho, I think I have an idea. what if I’m like your guide, or something? like I’ll tell you about your surroundings and I’ll help you run through things smoothly, overall. I don’t trust myself with a weapon yet, as you may have noticed.” and junho stands still, eyes blinking at a constant speed. the air in the room remains quiet and awkward, before he breaths out, “that sounds like a good idea. I guess it makes things a bit easier for me, too. I’ll be able to focus on the job at hand instead of having to worry about what’s going on around me.” you stand up, and your eyebrows go up and junho blinks back at you robotically. “so, does that sound good?” junho nods and says, “we start prepping for our next mission tomorrow, so please be awake by 7 in the morning. I will see you soon, y/n.” and you leave the weapon room and head to yours, excited for what awaits you the next morning.
a/n: ahhhhh there we have it! sorry it took so long, everyone! a LOT has happened over the past few weeks; I was out of town, then x1 disbanded, then I had some personal problems going on and then classes started back up so there was really no way for me to send this out sooner, so thanks for being patient with me! nevertheless, I hope everyone enjoys it, and it’s good to be back on the writing scene!

the next morning, you found a file that junho must’ve slid underneath your door, which contains all the info for his next kill. you don’t see it until you’re out of bed. once you look through it, you decide to draft some plans, with logistics as to how you think you wanna set it up. at this point, you’ve drafted several ideas when your stomach lets out a groan. finally deciding to give into your bodily needs, you quickly call soonja for a cup of coffee and some food, which comes up within five to ten minutes. you have your breakfast and once you think you’ve narrowed down your list enough, you make your way to junho’s room. rapping on the door, you wait as you decipher some activity from the other side of the door, and then it opens to reveal junho. “good morning, y/n. it’s 7:30, you were supposed to be here half an hour ago?” you squinted at him, “don’t worry, I was up and about by 7, I just didn’t know I had to report to you,” and you explained to him that you were definitely awake and you were working on some ideas early in the morning so that you had something to take to him. “I didn’t wanna be here empty handed, that’s why I took so long to be here.” junho nods his head understandingly, and says, “no problem, just let me know beforehand so I can take care of other things. for now, come sit, and show me what you have so far.” and so you do. one hour goes by, and you’re giving him details to one of the many ideas you jotted down, and junho’s attention starts to waver; so he fixes his gaze on you. you’re looking down at a notebook, but that doesn’t change the way you animatedly move your hands around, or you don’t notice the smidge of pen you managed to get on the side of your nose, or how there are strands of hair falling at just the angle to frame your face. his gaze carries a fascination and there’s something there that he hasn’t felt before, but is quickly whisked away from these thoughts as he now sees you calling his name a few times. “hmm? I apologize, I zoned out.” he tells you, a strange heat starting to settle on the back of his neck. “you don’t have to be so formal with me, you know? if we’re gonna work together, you should relax a bit.” you sigh out, before going over the gist of the plan again. this time, junho pays attention, but he’s feeling as embarrassed as ever.
you settled on a plan, and went over it a few times to make it as flawless as you possibly could. one thing leads to another, and the next thing you know, here comes the day to execute the plan. junho needed to target a man who had been buying drugs from x1, but had been paying them with counterfeit money. x1 suffered some losses before they learned it was fake money so they waited for the perfect time to pay back the man. this man worked at a small kiosk, just inside the mall. this was a perfect place for junho to commence the plan, so you two decided to go at a time where the mall would be fairly busy. it had worked in your favor since the season was changing which meant that the mall would have dozens of people buying clothes that were now off-season. dongpyo helped you disguise yourself, with a small hearing device and mic in your ear, and junho (although he doesn’t need much, dongpyo insists that junho should put on a wig or glasses or something, so he goes for the glasses.) your job was to somehow bring the spotlight on you, and make it easier for junho to go in for the kill. you two hurriedly leave for the mall and junho finds a place for you to be, which isn’t far from where he needs to go. the mall is crowded as fuck, and you quickly remembered why you don’t do in-person shopping anymore. then you see junho. he’s set you up to sit in a place where you would be able to keep an eye on things going on around him. his gloved hand is in his pocket concealing his pocket blade, and the crowd is really helping him blend in. this is where you create a scene, and so you breathe in, before pushing yourself off of the stairs, falling down and letting out cries. people gasp and rush towards you, making sure you’re okay. you feel some aches and pains that will eventually go away, so you reassure them and they help you sit up, but once you see junho get close enough, you quickly look around him, making sure everyone else is distracted with other things, and the moment he hears your light “go”, he goes in for it. the man gasps and junho leaves the blade, quickly leaving the scene. once the man falls to the floor, and the pool of blood seems to grow, only then do people start causing a commotion. the crowd of people that helped you now rush over to the fallen man, and you see junho approach you, discarding his glove in a trash can before coming up to you. he reaches out a hand, and you take it, but you feel a sharp pain in your foot. you let out a strained gasp, and your eyes shut closed. junho’s eyebrows furrow at this and he bends down, asking, “are you okay? where does it hurt?” tears have formed in the corners of your eye and you can barely make out his features. you point to your leg and junho notices that your ankle is swollen. you must’ve broken it, as a result of your fall. you try to hold in any sounds, biting down on your lip so hard it may start bleeding. junho maneuvers you so that he is now carrying you, and he takes you back to the house. after some time, you’re in your bed, with a cast around your foot. you did break your ankle, and because of that, you can’t help junho, at least not for a few weeks. you have pain medicine and are told to stay in bed. that night you feel worthless, like you’re no good here, you screwed up on the first day.
junho leaves your room later that night, being by your side and getting you anything you needed, and he waited until you fell asleep before he got up and went to his own room. when he reached his room, he saw yohan waiting outside, arms crossed and an eyebrow raised as he set his gaze on junho. “well? care to explain why you waited in that girl’s room for hours? as far as I know whenever one of us has injured themselves, you’ve never stayed to help us out.” junho clears his throat before responding, “I don’t know what you’re insinuating, but the reason I waited in y/n’s room for so long was because I feel bad for her. I was the one who got her into all this and the fact that it hasn’t even been a few days ever since she started working with me just makes me feel worse.” junho invites the older boy into his room and they talk for a bit, until yohan gets a phone call. he steps out to take it, and when he gets back, he tells junho, “anyways, I came here to tell you that we went to the police to get the guy and he’s dead, for sure. there was too much blood loss by the time they got to the scene, and so they pronounced him dead. seungwoo says that you can lay low for a bit, because it doesn’t seem like you’ve got any new assignments coming in for a while. I’ve gotta go, but I’ll see you soon,” and yohan departs, leaving junho to the silence of his room. as yohan heads out, he can’t help but feel like something is different. he doesn’t know what it is, but there’s something... not junho. he shakes off the feeling and then sighs, continuing to make his way to seungwoo. for the next few days, you experience the same cycle: you wake up, and you call soonja up to help you freshen up, and she brings you breakfast. you catch up on some reading, you watch your drama, you overall are doing whatever else there is to do besides being mobile. then junho comes in your room, and helps you out with stuff, whether it be cleaning, or getting you food, or bringing you books from the library, you name it. during this time is when you also learn a little more about junho. the robotic image you initially painted him in fades to this smart, unknowingly sarcastic young man, who’s been nothing but a big help towards you. still, you can’t help but feel like you’re the reason things are where they are. when you ask him about his assignments, he brushes it off by telling you he has none. but you refuse to believe it, because with a gang this big, they have to always be busy. he insists that seungwoo told him that he didn’t have to worry about anything at the moment, and you hesitantly give in. then he’ll have dinner with you and wait until you’re asleep before he leaves. and yohan’s been watching the whole thing go down over the course of the last few days, keeping an especially close eye on junho. he’s been acting differently and is talking much more and wow, is junho fucking smiling? out of nowhere, too? yohan decided that enough is enough and he goes to look for you.
you hear a knock on your door, and when you ask for them to come in, you are shocked to see yohan standing there, nervously playing with his hands. “can I talk to you?” you are taken aback; the boys have been friendly, including yohan but you haven’t had a proper conversation with any one of them. “sure,” you reply, curious for what’s about to happen. he approaches closer to you, and sits at the edge of your bed. the gears seem to be shifting in his head, and when he looks like he’s gathered all his thoughts. he asks you, “what magic have you done?” you don’t quite know what he’s talking about and he is hesitant, but breathes out, “it’s just so shocking to me to see what you have done in a few days that we’ve been trying to get junho to do over the last couple of years.” “I still don’t really get where this is going,” you tell him, and yohan nods, before starting, “ junho was raised in an orphanage. he saw how people came, with hope in their eyes, ready to take someone home with them and more than once, he thought he would be the lucky one to leave. ever since he fathomed the idea, it seemed, it always ended the same way; someone else was being adopted, and he was left there. it wasn’t until he was eighteen when he left. this life and society had thrown many curve balls his way, and it was early that he decided he wasn’t going to conform. he started to break the rules: he stole, he created havoc,” yohan paused, sighed out and then continued, “ one day, junho had noticed that there was someone following him for the past few days and unbeknownst to him, was also watching him commit whatever crimes he did from afar. that someone was seungwoo. he told me that he went up to junho and asked him,“why are you behaving this way?” and junho shrugged, emotionless. he was used to being at the sideline, and not having to answer properly wasn’t new. seungwoo sighed and dropped his head, almost in thought, before he looked up at junho again. “come with me. you seem like you could use a job. and a home.” that was how junho met seungwoo. and since then junho’s been an integral member of the gang. I had very quickly become his best friend on the team, and we still are. yet, if there was one thing about him that hadn’t changed, it was that he never shared his feelings about anything with anyone. he always bottled everything up; no one knew how he released it. sure, he eventually started to break out of his shell when he was with me and the rest of the boys, but it wasn’t ever consistent. but you,” he looks up at you, “you haven’t even been here a week, and he’s warming up to you. and don’t get me wrong, I’m not upset at all. in fact, I want to thank you. thank you for being so kind to him and being a person that he feels that he can trust.” you can’t help but feel your eyes water a bit, so you quickly blink your tears away and smile at him. “thank you for trusting me with this information. things have started to add up now, I understand so much more about why he is the way he is.” yohan gives you a small smile, and before he can say anything else, you hear a knock on your door. “come in,” you call out and it’s junho. he’s surprised to see yohan sitting there with you, and asks, “what are you doing here?” yohan stands up and wipes his hands on his pants. “I just came to tell y/n that I hope she feels better soon. I should be heading out now.” and he nods at you and junho, before leaving your room. “that’s strange,” junho mumbles, but quickly shakes it off and asks you if you need anything. “if you don’t mind, can you grab some water for me, please?” junho nods affirmatively and leaves your room. the things that yohan has resonated with your perspective of junho’s personality, and you can’t help but start feeling something towards him... you just can’t put a finger on it quite yet.
a few weeks later, you begin to heal. you can move your foot and although it’s not ideal, it gets the job done for now. you are still restricted to movements, but you have the freedom to walk around the house and when you do, you make your way to junho’s room and ask him what it is that he wants you to do next. “I can still do stuff around the house, I just can’t physically go somewhere with you yet.” but he refuses to give you stuff. “ I don’t want you getting hurt again. until you’re absolutely better, you will not be given anything by me.” “but why not? I’m fine, I promise!” you insist that you can do it, but he refuses again. you feel defeated, and maybe it’s just you but your heart feels like there’s a rock on it, and you don’t know what gets into you, because the next thing you know, you storm out of the room, and slam his door shut. you try to make it to your room as fast as you physically can, you make it to your bed and immediately you break down in tears. you’ve never felt so useless. soon, you hear a knock on your door, but you don’t need to see who it is. you hear footsteps and soon the bed dips next to you. the hands that were covering your tear-stained face are moved by a gentler pair of hands, and with blurry vision, you see junho looking at you, sadness in his eyes. “I feel useless. this is all my fault, if it wasn’t for me and my stupid ideas, maybe we could’ve done something different. but please, give me one more chance, I need to get out. please, this time I won’t mess up.” there’s red on the edges of junho’s mocha eyes and you know he has something to say, so you urge him, “there’s something you’re thinking. say it.”
and just like that, he breaks. “the moment I saw you on the mall floor, clutching your leg in pain, I felt like it all could’ve been avoided if I had chosen something else. this was all my fault. the nights you fell asleep here, I’d walk back to my room, and beat myself up because it was my fault you were in pain and believe me, it was definitely not your fault. you’re a smart person, y/n. you’ve come up with ideas that neither me or the boys could’ve come up with. I’m sorry for putting you in that position in thinking that it was your fault. throughout these past few weeks, you’ve taught me a lot: how to joke sarcastically, how to get annoyed (you interrupt him with a ‘hey!’), how to take risks but most of all, how to take care of someone. and when you mentioned doing stuff again, I just.. didn’t want to think about putting you in danger again. so I was selfish, and don’t want to expose you to any more danger. you mean something to me, y/n, and it’s the scariest fucking feeling in the world to think you’ll be in danger again. and I don’t know the logistics or anything, but all I know is that I want to keep you safe.” he finished with tears on his face. at that moment, you could only think of doing one thing, and so you did. you grabbed his face between your hands and you kissed him. at first, he didn’t move, but as your lips moved, his did too, and soon, he held your waist carefully. after some time, you pull away and junho moves a strand of hair away from your face. “I want you to trust me, junho. let me work with you again. I promise I’ll stay out of danger. for you. for us.” and with that you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, finding solace in his body heat. truly there are so many things you’ve taught junho. you’ve done the impossible: breaking the once reserved boy out of his shell, and you taught him how to love life, no matter what. because when it comes to moments like these, it’s always going to be worth it.
a/n: aaand that’s a wrap on junho! did you expect him to be the poker chip? if not, who’d you think it was? lmk in the comments and as always, thanks for being patient!! also,,, might be working on some new series shhhhhhh xoxo sweetdejun <3
