Cas is a library café owner (little idea bc their motto is nothing better than a cup of coffee and a good book) and I hc them to be poly but their main relationship is with Howdy, they pair with Eddie and Frank but rahhgh I love drawing cute art of them it heals my soul

They're a barista at their Café, and they love writing and making letters to neighbors when they're busy, they're kinda shy and quiet but are able to express themselves better through writing or crafts

They have like a mini library in their store where neighbors can pick out books- their payment for any café items is either checking out a book or telling them a fun fact

Howdy is their blorbo ofc but Eddie and Frank are also pretty regular at their shop, Eddie and Howdy grab coffee before work and Frank likes reading some of the books they have, they always bring in new books about butterflies just for them

In episodes they teach how to spell and do short filler storytimes

They love hugs and cuddles with the neighbors they are close with

Relationship with neighbors:

Wally: He's a good friend but his staring tends to make them nervous or feel like they did something wrong, so they are primarily a bit on edge with him, but they think he's kind of a silly wacky guy who they don't know what but obviously has something going on

Julie: They don't hang out much- Cas enjoys how sweet she is but overall her hyper bubbly energy tends to overwhelm them, so they mostly just do more nice quiet things with her, like braid her hair or make little flower crowns for eachother, which Cas takes a flower from each one they make and drys it in the book they have to keep.

Barnaby: Barnaby is very much a brother figure to them, despite the sayings of cats and dogs not getting along. They love Barnaby like family- they love his jokes- he always somehow knows how to cheer him up, and his hugs and cuddles are the biggest and nicest things they could ask for, especially when they have a rough time. Cas enjoys the fact of having a similar animal companion in the neighborhood.

Sally: they help write out new fun plays and sometimes even participate in them. Their acting is surprisingly good, as when they read text they're very imaginative, and they can play a variety of characters. They like helping Sally, as she helps him find more confidence in himself.

Poppy: a very motherly figure to them- they love her hugs and how worried she is for them sometimes, and how soft her plumes are. They find her very fascinating and pretty, and how calm she is. After a lot of the neighbors being very outgoing, her soft natured company is very soothing to them. They also love baking with Poppy, and Poppy sometimes help teach them to make new pastries for their café.

Eddie: They love Eddie. He's such a sweetheart to them and very understanding of when they're having a hard day, and knows exactly what to do to help out. Eddie likes to have them over to make crafts and hear things Cas has written if they're comfortable, which Cas appreciates a lot. He delivers the letters Cas makes and sometimes makes letters himself to deliver to them, because he knows they enjoy reading them. Eddie also comes by their café to get coffee before his run, and they always look forward to seeing his chipper face in the morning.

Frank: Frank, like Poppy, is someone they appreciate for their calmness. Frank being as reserved as they are, is someone they take a lot of enjoyment just having small quiet moments with, like sharing thoughts on books, or helping them look for butterflies- they love the way butterflies look and move and how they are quiet and elegant, it fascinates them- and they love hearing Frank's facts and seeing him so invested in something. They love it when they see Frank's smile on occasion, and love trying to make him smile in the softest way possible. They enjoy seeing him when he comes in to the café to get books and genuinely enjoys spending time with Frank.

Howdy: They love Howdy. Very much. To the point where they've been trying to find the right way to express their feelings to him without overthinking it. They admire how inspiring he is and how open and caring he is, and how he always seems to put a smile on everyone's face. They also love getting small items from his shop and bringing him coffee or little things when he can't come into their café just to show him they appreciate his hard work and so they can see him. His hugs and cuddles are also their favorite- they love affection, and so his size and multiple limbs are perfect for hugging and comfort. They sometimes come into the bugdega just to ask shyly for a hug if they feel they need it, Howdy finds it sweet.

As for more horror aspect they are very aware of their surroundings due to anxiety- and they honestly have no idea how they got in welcome home- they get small flashes of memories from before but never can discern them, and this makes panic attacks with them very common

They know something is up with the neighborhood, and they leave hidden texts in odd places for the viewer to find, hoping to find answers.
