I feel like Leo and Capricorn, despite being quincunx signs, still have a lot in common.
Firstly, they're both very ambitious, wanting to be the best in their field of work and be the top dog. Secondly, they can both be excellent leaders and usually prefer the role with more control. Now this conjunct your South node, so this feels like it’s karmic, this will teach you a lot of lessons because it also is in opposition to your North Node, South Node also deals with your past life. You have south node in your 8th house you could be drawn towards the occult too.
