Daisybilly having more AO3 fics than any other DJATS ships makes 0 sense tbh. I feel like Daisy would've been a toxic or otherwise abusive girlfriend to Billy. Idk, it just bothers me sm. (Also, there's a theory, Ig, that Daisy and Billy slept together in ep 4 when she stayed at the Dunne house? And the people I've seen on Pinterest comparing D*isybilly to Finnick and Annie??? No hate, those things just baffle me. I feel like the book made it clear that we shouldn't root for Daisybilly bc it'd be toxic, but the show glorifies that. And of course my copy has a picture of show Daisy on the cover + Hello Sunshine's name. At least no Reese Witherspoon mention!)

Re-read DJATS and: I don't Daisy's anger towards Billy for rejecting her was justified. What did she expect from a married man? The whole thing just made her seem childish to me 🤷🏻♀️. Writing a song about it, for Billy to perform, seemed like a bad idea. He did nothing wrong. Camila was nothing but kind to Daisy didn't even consider her feelings. "When you think of me, I hope it ruins rock n roll." Would've been better directed at Nicky than Billy, because again, Billy was just staying faithful to Camila.
Last night, I listened to Timeless by Taylor Swift, thought of Billy and Camila, and almost cried.

Almost a year since I started shipping Camibilly and they're still my number one DJATS couple.
Before reading the book, I'd watched some Billy scenes on YouTube after being curious from seeing it everywhere. Based off of that, I'd thought Daisy and Billy were together, but wasn't sure if I should ship them. I found out about Camila, and didn't know what to think. Read the book, and a week later started shipping Camibilly. My first and favorite Daisy Jones and The Six ship. No amount of Daisybilly or Edmila propaganda from the show team or Twitter/X can change my mind.
Billy chose Camila, and I don't the show version was gonna leave him.
They're soulmates, period.
(Side note: Sam Claflin and Camila Morrone's ability to portray a shippable couple is *chef's kiss.* More than him and Riley. Or her and Josh. They deserved awards.)

Camila and Billy Dunne really deserve nothing but happiness and a quiet life with their girls.
Changes in my fic:
No cheating. Billy is forcibly kissed by a groupie of Eddie's on tour, but is quickly reassured that it's not his fault.
He goes to rehab for five weeks when Camila's five months pregnant.
He attends her appointments.
He's there for Julia's birth, but nearly walks out because of the fear of being like Hank.
Daisy's love is one-sided, Eddie's as well.
Billy did propose to Camila like in the book.
Eddie forcibly kisses Camila in December 1974, and is kicked out of the band.
Billy and Camila know about Karen and Graham.
Daisy is called out for insulting Billy's songs, changing them, and writing the lyric about alcohol in Regret Me.
Unlike the show (possibly), Billy doesn't stay with Camila out of obligation.
Camila and Warren are paternal adoptive cousins.
Marlene moves to LA.
No Caroline. (The girl Graham kissed in episode 5.)
Susana and Maria exist.
Camila lives until 2029. (Age 80.)
Karen and Graham stay together, adopt a baby in 1980. (Not really sure, might have them foster.)

Also, for the "Silver Springs effect" thing: I think the song is about making someone regret breaking your heart, or just being mad at them, not making them fall back in love with you. So not Daisybilly, but Daisy and Nicky.
If anything, Nicky would regret how he treated Daisy, Billy wouldn't fall back in love with her.
