Perhaps this sounds stupid because I haven't rewatched the first two seasons of The Originals in a hot minute but like, after the whole "betrayal" of Marcel that had him go live on that old store outside of New Orleans in s1, did he ever go back to the city before becoming the beast or did the Mikaelson just not allow him back, despite the fact that Marcel was risking his life for them every single second???
