It wasn’t so bad when he wanted to cause mischief, but now he knows he’s better fit to be the next Fire Lord than his brother ever will be. A strong and skillful bender with an aggressive streak, will he be able to control the battle within himself or will he catch on his own flames?

When he was called upon, he fought for his nation, but after the passing of his father, Hoseok realized there is so much more to life than duty and war. Now advisor to the princes, he spends most of his time teaching them the precise art of bending and tea brewing. When the world plunges into chaos once again, will he opt out or join the fight?

Even though the massive wars had once snuffed out almost all life from his temple, over time, the nomad population had flourished once again, but air bending had not faired as well. Finding himself finally out of temple walls, the world is a much darker place than he thought. A new war approaches and Taehyung finds himself fighting alongside new friends and trying to save their home from destruction.

The life of a non-bender should be pretty straightforward and breezy, right? Wrong. Seokjin grew up in a nation that looked down upon non-benders, so the minute he could, he left without turning back. Finding an unlikely home and friend in the Southern Air Temple, he learned it’s not the bending that makes you, it’s your will. Using his skill set in combat as well as popular games, Seokjin finally fits in. Now he’s given the chance to prove himself among benders, of course he’s going give it his all.

Being the only son of the Northern Water Tribe Chief, Jimin grew up coddled by his elder sisters and mother. His people loved him and he loved them. He had a beautiful home, a great childhood friend, and both his parents. His view of his perfect world is twisted completely upside down, though, and suddenly he’s not sure what he stands for anymore. He does know one thing though, he’ll do anything to protect the people he cares about, even at the expense of losing one.

You are the only child of the Southern Water Chief and the last known water bender to the Southern Tribe. Since you were born, your parents knew you were exceptional. You are strong and anyone can see it. After losing your mother at a young age, you vowed to protect your family at all cost. When life knocks you down again, learning to trust your instincts and use your power is a hard lesson you must learn quickly. Will you let your emotions cloud your judgement, or will you rise above?
[10:34 am] Firebender!Jungkook is watching you from the courtyard, following the curve and sway of your body as your limbs move to and fro. The water circles around you; calm and peaceful and you finally feel tranquil despite residing in such hostile territory. It’s not until you hear a rustle a distance behind you that your concentration slips along with the water.
You try not to sneer, the droplets splashing around you and soaking the edges of your clothes as he approaches. You’d only been within Fire Nation walls for a few days, but the boy had managed to pluck every single nerve within your being, not only frazzling your temper but your focus. Bending came so naturally to you, the water becoming an extension of your soul. Nothing could get in between you and your gift, that is, until Jungkook.
With a sly grin, he relishes in your sour mood, enjoying the effect he has on you. He knows, deep down in the pit of his core, that the dark eyes and harsh line of your frown are only a facade, created by the long burning hatred of his home nation. He doesn’t take much offense to it, though, he knows the Fire Nation has a terrible running streak and harsh viewpoints. He doesn’t necessarily agree with some of them, but he holds a deep and passionate loyalty for his home and people that could not be swayed easily. So, instead of trying to understand your side or sway you to his, he simply lets himself indulge in the small reactions he can elicit from you whenever he can.
You want to step back, keep your distance, but the fire that burns behind his eyes is all too entrancing whether you’d admit it or not. You allow him to approach, wrap his hands around your hips and move you. The poses are foreign to your body, being strictly fire bending poses, which draw from an entirely different entity within a bender. Despite the unnatural feeling they give you, the feeling his body close enough to yours that you can feel the heat emanating from him is enough to keep your rejections to the movements at bay. You can’t see it, but the smile that spreads across his face is one much different to the familiar smirk he usually casts in your presence.
As Water and Fire whirl as one, bending beside one another, you can’t deny you feel stronger because of his touch, and even though you try to hide it, it is entirely evident as the two of you move; in a graceful dance between opposing elements.

“I promise, I will come back to you. I’ll always come back to you.”
Waterbender!Jimin takes your hand in his, warmth seeping from his skin to yours as his fingers graze over the chilled flesh. Instead of forcing yourself to look in his eyes, you allowed your gaze to follow the movement, his touch numbing your body to the point you couldn’t even feel the tears slip from your eyes. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. You’d just announced your engagement a mere 3 days ago. Now the nations were plunged back into war, repeating old mistakes and taking your happiness with it. How could the universe be so cruel, to give you something as amazing as Jimin’s love and then snatch it away like it was nothing? It wasn’t fair.
“Why do you have to go? Another could take your place.” Selfish. You knew it wouldn’t sway his mind, even before you saw his face fall. You both were incredibly passionate and loyal to your nation, taking pride in your people. You felt guilty for even suggesting it. His hand gently slips under your jaw to cup your cheek, thumb brushing away the droplet as it descended down your skin. You finally looked at him, truly looked, and saw that even after your cruel suggestion, there was not a sliver of disappointment cross his features. Instead, the light that shone from him enveloped you in its warmth, pulling you closer, savoring the last bit of contact with your love you’d have for Gods-knows how long.
“You know why. It’s my duty to protect our home; to protect you.” Jimin nuzzles his face to yours, his nose softly brushing yours to calm you. He knew exactly how to relax your nerves and curb your worries, no matter how much you wanted to dwell on them. It felt like both hours and milliseconds before a general was calling for warriors to make their way to the boats. This was it, he’d be leaving for war and you wouldn’t know where he’d be, how he’d be, or when he’d be back. Terrifying thoughts tried to pry their way into your mind but you pushed them away. Jimin was strong, fearless, but also wise. If anyone could take care of themselves through this, it’d be him.
So, with a final press of his lips to yours, the taste of him both sweet and sour as he parted, he grabbed your face in his hands and offered the best smile he could.
“I love you, more than there are people on this earth and stars in the sky.” Offering the lamest attempt to return his smile, you let the tears flow freely as he backed away, fixing the bag draped over his shoulder.
“I love you too, and I will through this war, across oceans, and through every lifetime.”
The horn signaling departure blared as the boats began their long journey to the war front.
Your words would keep Jimin company on the road ahead.
