Inktober day 5 - G-pen, ink and water, brush inking, mapping pen, brush pen
I had a busy evening so I just scribbled up some Poppets and inked them in different ways.

Inktober day 8 - brush pens and G-pen
The mirror twins might be ghosts or they might just be really creepy.

Inktober 2016 - Day 18 : brush pens I made a mistake inking this one! I originally planned to ink it with my mapping pen and got as far as the first inking that way, but then realised there was no way I could cross-hatch it before work, and while the library is generally happy for me to draw when it’s quiet they would probably draw the line at a bottle of liquid ink and a dip pen. I had to finish it in brush pens, which I suppose is nice because now Spider matches the Nettle from day 4. He likes the snow.

I ended up doing a lot of companion pieces in this year’s Inktober, so I thought I’d compile them so you can see them side-by-side. I’m pleased by how well most of them line up, since I do these in a bound sketchbook and they’re all many pages apart. Also a bonus pair from last year!

A picture I did for @niuniente of her webcomic character Fuzzy, for her birthday a couple of months ago. I sent her the original so I didn’t want to post a scan until I knew it had arrived. I love drawing characters who are always in silhouette, it’s a challenge to make sure it reads correctly once the black is filled in. Fuzzy is a mysterious creature who lives in a temple, where a professional Seer named Irene tries to stay on top of her work while various magical forces try to entangle her and her shadowy guest in strange and opaque schemes. The webcomic runs on webtoons and tumblr if that sounds like your cup of tea!

We’re all working from home at the moment and there are a lot of Skype meetings, but I’m working from my bedroom so I’m not really comfortable having the camera on. (I just don’t want everyone being able to see into my room.) I thought I’d update my old skull avatar so my colleagues would have something to look at.
(I couldn’t use it in the end because there was no way to set it to JUST Skype and not my email avatar too, but at least I can use it here.)
