baseline marvel comics have a pretty racist history and the mcu has made several racist decisions in casting and narrative. but the marvel netflix shows are so intensely vile they stand out. from the very start with daredevil season1 there has been this gleeful violence visited upon brown and black bodies and basic humanity is denied them. regulated to living background in white narratives.
yeah. I think it's really interesting too that especially in Netflix's universe that so much of this violence is perpetrated too by White women. Like Ben dies so that Karen can have his job. And Elektra dies because Matt prioritizes Karen's life as she's worth saving. And even Karen's #girlboss moment in s3 is her getting harassed by young Black men and then pulling a gun on them.
This is compounded and made much worse in Jessica Jones where Jessica sexually assaults Luke Cage. Jessica and Trish get violent with Malcolm. And the black women on the show sometimes don't even get to speak before a white woman kills them.
Like these are all choices that were specifically made, and in a lot of instances changed from the original source material.
I also think it says a lot that like netflix mcu really said female empowerment comes at the cost of very specifically black lives.

I was at my cousin’s house and we made bracelets^_^ mine all have some silly form of symbolism, a cat and moon on my atsushi one(as well as a bow cus he’s coquette🎀) and playing cards on the Nikolai one:3 and I js like the flowers lol
the only redeeming quality about this guy is that my girlfriend likes him. this will NOT be happening again @goofalicousgooberface take him and go frolicking 😭😭😭
