Excuse me while I get a little meta here. But this piece of writing is just...tremendous. Its pace is slow and measured, giving you such a good idea of how Jacintha's mind is flowing right now. The words are short and simple, again harkening back to the doll in need of fixing.
The best part, the thing I love most, is that there is no end, no beginning. And clearly it's meant to be a continuous stream of the same thoughts going through her head. But there is truly no beginning. You can start reading at any paragraph and the whole flow is still the same. Like an MC Esher painting with words. It's short, but so beautifully done. You have outdone yourself, Angel.
